Before there's relationship, there's friendship.
A bond so close I could call it a partnership.
The questions I ask myself, "Will it last?"
Or become another chapter of my past?
I ponder worryingly until I'm proven
Meanwhile my heart is expanding and moving
To become a part of his.
The sad part of it is that I can't live without
From that forms problems and doubt.
Arguments over the smallest and silliest of things
Like the song says "make up to break up" is how it seems
Family problems trying to intervene
And succeeding
Then one day I'm not enough.
Times get rough and a decision has to be made.
Am I the one for him or just another stop along his way?
To his destination, let him leave, don't beg him to stay.
Nothing is worth changing myself, don't sway.
I love him too much to see him in pain.
Pick him up after he's slain
And let him go.
Making someone you love happy is the key to your happiness.
