Waking up in her body.
Her blankets welcoming me warmly

Finally, a clean slate.
Free from the binding shackles of
expectations, guilt, boredom.
Some things still linger from my past:
ambition, aspirations, hope.
My love remains true,
and as he whispers "good morning"
in my new ear,
I let my new smile test its limits.
Yes. It is good.
But when I go to the mirror
to analyze my new features,
I realize that it is me.
Nothing has changed on the outside.
