In Mina's apartment, because Heidi's is a mess as per usual, her anxious energy was upsetting Harvey more and more to the point where he was vexed these past few days. He groomed himself a lot more and was constantly meowing, she had taken a least one hour of her time after coming home from the hospital to soothe him and play away from his stress. She knew she was at fault though because she couldn't get a tighter grip on her troubles. As Mina laid down on her couch and stared at the ceiling she thought aloud for her friend to hear from where she sat on the loveseat with her legs tucked under her. She expressed her feelings piece by piece, starting by Geo's strange behavior that was both worrisome and a pain in the butt.

"He's been distant lately, he doesn't even text me on weekends, and I barely see him unless he's rushing out of the bakery."

"He isn't a kid anymore Mina, he's almost nineteen. Big boys walk on their own ya'know," she added wisely.

"But I think, he's avoiding me now...unless he's drunk coming over here smelling like rotten beer," she finished her thought with a spiteful glare at the undeserving peach toned ceiling.

Heidi frowns empathetically, for she knows the feeling of a sibling's avoidance to talk or communicate all together, "He'll come around, he loves his big sis too much to keep away."

"Where does he even go to get it? He's definitely hiding something."

"Give it time, maybe he'll slip up and we can get a clue in," sighing and repositioning herself on the seat she went to get up and head to the kitchen.

"I intend to find out."

Heidi opens a few cabinets locating the tea bags hoping a cup of Mina's favorite, peppermint, will help elevate some stress. She boils water for a moment on high heat then sets both of their cups and pours when the bags are in place. All the while Mina grunts and cusses with a crimson suede couch cushion held tightly in her hands. Then she continues on a bit of a rant about a french named patient at the hospital who gets on her nerves.

"He's a real piece of work you know, plus it's like he wants people to hate his guts," Mina really did not understand that guy, nor why she'd want to. He acted as if he's a doomed soul, detested any and all people, conversations, help, in that place.

"Is he hot?" Heidi wondered, head raised from blowing at the steam coming from her teacup.

"Really? That's what you ask me after I explained his attitude, so obnoxious," She sat up looked at her friend straight on perplexed by her question.

"...well sometimes mean people are hot."

They laugh in unison after a quiet moment of letting that statement sink in. Mina shakes her head side to side, making her long waves of brown hair sway in refusal to believe that's the reason for Mr. Grumpy's behavior.

"Seriously though you can't really blame him for that, you said the guy's been in the hospital for what? Two, three months? He has a right to be crabby, I know I would."

That was the truth, he had a series of pretty bad injuries for the time he has spent in the confinement of the hospital. All that time without much view of the outside world must be tiresome, especially for a guy that, from what she could tell, was actively productive. He seemed like a man that was often on his feet doing one thing or another with his defined form. Within reason, she felt for him but didn't want to admit to it. Not noting the fact that her thoughts on french men of being artistic, whether with words or their hands, tempted her curiosity.

Heidi brings up the subject Mina is still sulking about, her essay. No luck yet, her notepad and laptop remained untouched 'til this day. She knows diverting won't solve the task, but that's all she's been doing lately. Mina doesn't spend much time in her room now just to avert her eyes from her desk that is a current reminder of what's at stake with her career choices. She had nightmares about being able to finish medical school studies and crap at the workforce.

"Kill me now," She dramatically flopped onto the couch, arms stretched out.

"N-n-n-n-no, just start dating some more," She shrugs her shoulder walking to put away the teacups in the kitchen.

"Do you not remember the last date I went on?"

"Yeah, but that was my fault because I didn't do my research beforehand. You have better judgment in people," Heidi smiles displaying her pearly whites.

Mina sits up, legs crossed and raise a thick brow at her. "Are you just now realizing that?"

Throwing a couch cushion at her friend's face. Heidi flips her off then chuckles in amusement tossing the cushion back at her.

"When I said, I thought about making that career change from writer to medical, I don't know if I feel the same..after meeting that prick-ly crab ass-hat," Mina said earnestly while calmly petting Harvey next to her. Heidi tried her best at keeping a straight face, really did, but a gross split smile came from her tight lips, making her look like a lipless old bum.

They continue to talk, with additional jokes about guys and munch on yesterday's leftover baked goods from the bakery. Of course, the other topics like Elijah and friends came up. Heidi couldn't help herself when Mina mentioned Elijah at the hospital offhandedly. The obvious hints she pointed on didn't escape Mina, but she chose to ignore them. Not receiving a response from her, Heidi talked about her plans at work. To persuade her boss to give her a boost up from assistant to the manager at the office; with showing up earlier, setting appointments to more convenient times, making that her mission to stop the interns and desk ladies from chatting, flirting, and just get their work done before her boss usual comes to complain. She really needed this lift to advance in her fashion career.

"You know what this means, don't you?"

Mina asked, "What are you talking about?"

"You, my little sugar cookie, have to find love," Heidi gives her a firm look, pursing her lips.

"You're sh*ting me right?" Mina deadpans, confused by her words.

Heidi smiles then put her snacks down, rubbing off crumbs on her sweatpants and rests her hands together on her leg, "No, let me rephrase that."

"Yeah okay..," she huffed chewing her sweets roughly.

"Mina, you have to fall in love. It's the only way to know!"

Almost having to give Mina the Heimlich maneuver after a bite of a cookie went down the wrong pipe, Heidi explains. Standing and waving her hands around like a madwoman,
"Actually think about it for a sec. You need proof, evidence or whatever you wanna call it so that you can base your essay on it, experience!"

Mina gives her a bewildered look like she's ape sh*t crazy. As if Heidi had just told her she has a fetish for guys in chicken suits.

"Heidi, was there something special in that tea?"

Even Harvey looked up at both of them, meowed, stretched out his limbs and left them to stare out by the windowsill. Probably told them they were crazy stressful and he couldn't deal.

"Shut up, listen this could be a real solution to writer's block."

"Okay genius, how the heck am I supposed to do that?"
