As we continued to listen too the rest of the song I don't see how I wasn't tired I should be but I wasn't.
"This song is hella good, apologize for my brother." Devante said.
"Its okay." I said.
"Glad that I found now then later, I was kinda getting attached to him which I didn't want to do but I was really feeling him." I added.
"I know you were I can tell that you was feeling my lil brother but after all he still act like a kid." Devante said as I nodded.
"I'm sorry that came here because I was trying to get away from your brother." I apologize.
"You good, I like the company I usually don't have people over... After that robbery I don't have no one in the crib." Devante told me.
"Yeah I could understand Devante you don't have to explain its hard to trust people." I said.
"Yeah.. I am going to go head into bed its hella late." Devante said as I laugh.
"It is, I guess I turn myself in also." I said.
We both got up heading upstairs as I was going into my room that I was staying in.
"If you need anything, just let me know aight." Devante told me.
"Okay I will, thanks." I said with a smile.
"Night." Devante said.
"Night." I said as he closed the door.
I went into the bathroom to take a quick shower after that I dried off putting lotion on putting my clothes that I was going to sleep in on brushing my teeth and washing my face after that I turned myself in going to sleep.
Morning
August 11th, 1999
10:10 am
I got out of bed checking the time and it said 10:10 in the morning, I went to the bathroom to do my business as I washed my face and brushed my teeth and fixing up my hair as I can look presentable. I left out of the room that I was staying in as I saw one of his dogs in the hallway as it came running towards me jumping on my leg all happy and excited to see me.
"Hey cutie pie!" I said baby talking to the dog.
"You so cute." I added rubbing his ear.
I kept talking to the dog like he understood what I was saying but he knew what I was saying because he lead me into the kitchen where he was cooking.
"Good morning!" I said as he looked up and smiled.
"Morning, you sleep okay?" Devante questioned.
"Yeah I did thanks." I said.
We were talking as he made some breakfast he was telling me that he has 9 pitbulls in the house but I guess the others were asleep since I met one and he was just so nice and friendly.
"Trust me they can be mean but they know when too." Devante said as I nodded.
"Yeah I think they the nicest dogs ever but they just get treated bad." I said.
"Forreal though if you train them the right way they won't be mean that is how I feel." Devante said.
"And I totally agree." I said.
"This smells good." I added.
"Thanks, its about to be ready! You can set up the table for us." Devante said.
"Okay." I said.
I was setting up the table for us to eat the breakfast that he prepared and moments later that is when he came with the food and it was looking so good causing my mouth to water.
"But yeah, ever since that robbery I just feel safe with my dogs ya know." Devante said.
"Yeah I understand completely, its hard I bet at times." I said.
"Hell yeah, I almost died just me thinking that scares me a lil bit." Devante said.
"I almost died in that random drive-by and that scared me too.. Like I was thinking I didn't accomplished anything in life yet and shit like why is it happening to me? I don't wish on anyone else but I was like damn this is not my time to go just yet." I said.
"I feel that, what really happened that year?" Devante asked.
"I still don't talk about how it happened." I said.
"My apologizes I still don't talk about the robbery so I understand." Devante said.
"I will tell you whenever I am actually ready." I said.
"Aight, I will be waiting." Devante said as I gave him a warm smile.
After that we ate our food and then we went directly to the studio and started to work on the album. I really needed this because I didn't want to be home in my feelings about Dalvin I know we haven't been together that long but we were hitting it off pretty well I really enjoy his vibe and stuff.

Devante was showing me all the spots that he goes to and stuff in New Jersey it was a different side of him that I didn't expect. It made me appreciate him even more, so now we were in the car about to get something to eat since we were basically sight seeing and reminiscing.
