" I don't want to be with you any more"
I looked up from my plate of food I just got done cooking for the both of us. Marco and I have been dating for a year.
He was the first person I met when I arrived to college a little over a year ago, my first boyfriend, and the guy I gave my virginity to. He was there for me when my mother died three months ago, and up until now the one person I thought would never hurt me.
"what are you saying Marco" I asked looking in his eyes to find any hint of humor
"I just can't be in a relationship with you anymore, look at you Lisa, You have gained too much weight" he said looking at me like I disgusted him
" I wasn't exactly stick thin when you met me, so exactly where is this going" I said becoming angry with every word I said
" I've met someone else"
I couldn't believe my ears. "I cant believe you are actually saying this to me right now" I looked back down at my plate trying to hold back the tears threatening to fall
"why do think we haven't had sex in the last six months huh and when we did you had to keep most of your clothes on" he asked scooting his chair closer to me
"but I can loose weight Marco, I've been trying, it's just not that easy as it looks, I've never been really been skinny anyway" tears running down my face.
"I'm just not attracted to you and I'm tired of trying to pretend like I am" he said frankly
"so your just going to breakup with me like this" I asked looking up to meet his face
" yes, but we can always be friends" he said standing up
"where are you going? " I asked standing as well
" I'm just going to leave I said what I needed to say, see you around Lisa" and with that he walked out.

That was seven years ago but those words never could seem to leave, or the feeling of the person you think you love not wanting you anymore because of how you look.
Now I'm sitting here confused as hell. It's obvious friendship is clean out of the picture here and frankly I don't know where this is going. All I know is that i refuse to be in any man's booty call or friend with benefits.
I looked over to see William reading the menu.
How can he be sitting so calm like nothing didn't just happen back there in the elevator.
I'm not gone lie and say I didn't enjoy it, I was totally caught off guard. One minute we're arguing and the next we are making out like two sex craved teenagers.just thinking about it has me tingling down there.
I was so wrapped up in my thoughts I didn't even hear Williams ask me a question.
"huh" I said looking up at him
"I said a penny for your thoughts" He said with a sexy grin on his face
" oh I was just wondering what I was gone order when the waiter comes", I lied.
I could tell by the look on his face he didn't believe me and was about to call me on it, but that was the exact time the waiter decided to show up.
"Can I take your drink orders" the waiter asked
saved by the bell.
"yes Can I have a bottle of your best wine" William asked
" and you miss?"
"I'll just have water, thank you" I looked up and said
Once the waiter left I picked up my menu to see what I was gone order.
"So back to our conversation" Wlliam said I could feel him staring at me. so I looked up to meet his eyes
" What about it" I said nervously I knew where this was going
"what was all the 'we cant be friends' bull you was talking about?" I thought about coming up with an excuse, but I figured it was best to just tell the truth since he proberly would know im lieing anyway.
I put my menu down and took a deep breath.
" I was upset because after our dinner I came to work the next morning to here that someone seen us that night and to make a long story short, according to everyone Im now having an office affair with you". I decided to leave the whole Chole thing out, I figured he didnt need know all that.
"Oh" was all he said
"OH?, I jsut told you that the whole office is talking about us and all you have to say is OH" I said in harsh whisper
"Lisa I'm one of riches men in the state of NewYork, your lucky we weren't splashed on the page of some magazine or gossip column ." he leaned in to look me dead in my eyes
"Im sorry that your looked at as some whore if you like I could call a meeting to get everything straighten out but as for me I'm use to the gossip it doesn't bother me."
I begin shaking my head before he could finish his sentence.
"No it's not that important I can ignore it we know what kind of relationship we have"
"and what kind is that?" he asked
"employee, employer of course" I looked at him with a 'duh' expression
He just started laughing and shaking his head
"what's so funny?"
"did I not just kiss you senseless back there a few minutes ago, does that seem like a employee, employer relationship?" he said
"no it doesn't" I looked down "can I ask you something"
"you can ask me anything Lisa"
" why did you kiss me" I said looking up at him in his eyes
"because I'm attracted to you, and I'm tired of fighting it." he said sating me in my eyes like he could see my soul. I didn't know what to say so I chose to just say nothing and finish our lunch.
"so what are your plans for the rest of day" William asked as our waiter came to pick up our empty plates
"well I wanted to go do some shopping" I thought I would treat myself a little. With the pay I was getting from working for William I was able to pay all my bills up to date and save a couple bucks in the bank too.
"do you know where all the shopping stores are located " William asked
" no but I was looking at a pamphlet In the room an it was saying how I could catch a train into the city and walk to the shopping strip"
" non sense I'm not doing anything today, I can take you. You have no business wondering round a strange city by yourself"
"That's not necessary I know men don't care for shopping and couldn't put you through that" I said smiling
"I'm not gona say I'm the biggest fan of shopping but I can spare a few hours" he said standing
"ok if you say so" I said hesitantly
We walked to the elevators
" than it's settle I'll meet you down in the lobby in a hour there should be a car waiting" he said as we walked to my room door
"ok I'll be ready see you then" I said closing my door.
