10. Johnny
I'm Sorry
Oh God... Light... Where is that sound coming from? That loud... awful sound....
I looked around, it was hard to find my bearings but I finally found them - down deep below all that alcohol I was just about to barf up.
After a few seconds I could still hear the horrid beeping... the god awful sound was coming from downstairs.
I made my way downstairs, kind of in ping pong ball fashion. I let out a good laugh when I saw Powerpuff Girls on tv, and Zack asleep with Lena on his lap happily watching the cartoon.
"Hey Lee, what's up?" I asked walking up to her, snatching Zack's beeping phone.
"Nooooofin." She smiled. "Be quiet you'll wake zeeekie"
"Did you make him watch this with you?" I laughed.
"No!" She said defensively then after a moment tried again with the truth. "Maybe."
"Maybe it's time for you to go to bed." I said ruffling her hair.
"No."
I read Zack's screen- as to why an Alarm was going off at midnight.
--Wake Up Bailey--
Why would he have to wake up Bailey?
"You can finish this episode- then it's straight to bed." I said to Lena. She pouted, hiding herself in Zacky's side.
I ran upstairs into Bailey's room, I was shocked to see her all beat up. Her leg was in a boot - what the fuck?
I gently shook her, as to not injure her further.
"Zack?" She said sleepily. Zack? Why the fuck would that be the first name out of her mouth?
Something I should know?
"Guess again." I muttered.
"John." She said in an irritated tone. "What do you want?"
"Why was Zacky's phone going off - saying to wake you up?"
"Because Jan thinks I have a concussion cause I lost consciousness - so I have to be woken up every 2 hours." She muttered. "Now leave me alone - I don't feel well."
Then it hit me..
Zack and I went looking for her...
I was an ass.
"I'm so sorry Bailey - I was hammered... It didn't even register to me- you know how I get when I'm in that state... Bailey forgive me."
"You know, I've seen you do it to others and I've always had your back... but now that you've done it to me - I could've died John."
You know she's mad at me when she calls me John. It made my skin crawl.
"I'm sorry Bailey... I've just been so fucking stressed- you know I hate--..."
"I know. Just let me sleep, please." She waved me off. "My head hurts and I feel like I was run over."
"Okay... But why did you think I was Zacky?" I asked as I left, turning to face her.
"Because he has been taking care of me. He's a good guy, Johnny." She said softly.
I just nodded before leaving.
What did that mean? Was Zacky trying to get with my sister?
I wasn't sure how I felt about that.
