"So this guy is pretty famous. He was a transferee last month, and people already has a craze for him." Jungkook gossips as he walk you out through your school gate.
"I wont be shocked if he will replace Taehyung's place." He says, not caring about how you feel.
You crinkle your nose as you ignore his gossip. You don't care if the guy he was talking about was handsome, you can't really see anyways.
"The only difference is that Park Jimin is a kind one. Not a bad boy type." He said that caught your attention.
Park Jimin? You think you heard that name somewhere and now you are trying to remember where your heard it.
"Now the chances of me replacing Taehyung is much lesser. I hate that Jimin guy." Jungkook sounds frustrated.
People don't really know why Jungkook can't replace Taehyung's infamous throne as he was also goodlooking, a genuis and also a gentleman, Jungkook was beyond perfect yet he can't take down Taehyung. Maybe, there was really something in Taehyung that nobody can beat.
And you knew that because you knew Taehyung. You felt how he treated you. There was more than what meets the eye in him. Only he could make you feel that way. The feeling of safety yet in danger as you stay beside him.
As you think of that red headed boy again, you didn't feel your handkerchief slipping away from your grip. And Park Jimin was just behind the both of you and Jungkook, he heard every rants the black haired guy said about him and he saw how the baby blue handkerchief slip from your hand.
He picked it up when he reached where it landed. And saw that you were already meters away from him. "Hey!" He shouts as he jog towards the both of you.
You didn't halt, neither did Jungkook as you both thought that you weren't the one being called by the ash brown haired guy.
With his hair flowing as the air hit his face, he reach your distance and tap your shoulder with his gentle hands.
You turned to face where he stood and so does Jungkook when he noticed that you stopped. And Jungkook gasped as soon as he recognized the same fluffy cheeks, plump lips, alluring yet innocent eyes and his ash brown hair trade mark.
Jungkook's guts suddenly turned upside down. Ugh, I think I might like Taehyung more than this Jimin guy, he thought as he tried to keep his composure.
Jimin smiles softly as he recognize your face from the cafeteria. You were that same girl that he helped.
"Your handkerchief fell." Jimin says, his voice soft as he stare at your innocent face. And it was soothing for you, almost like listening to a song that makes you want to sleep.
"Oh." You said.
"Here." He says as he takes your wrist and put the handkerchief in your hands.
Jungkook's forehead crinkles at this. Is he a fuckboy or what? Stop touching her! His mind protests.
You smiled at Jimin as you felt the soft fabric in your hands. It was Taehyung's that he let you borrow from the first time you had spent time together, in the coffee shop.
"Thank you. You don't know how much I value this." You were too greatful as your smile widen and your eyes sparkle.
It was the cue for Jungkook to cut in as he saw how Jimin returns the smile, the latter's eyes disappearing at the sight.
"Okay. That's enough chitchat. We should go. Thank you and goodbye." Jungkook's voice was rather bitter. His hand snatching your wrist from Jimin's grip, his eyes meeting Jimin's friendly one with a cold gaze.
But Jungkook was too late as the red headed boy sees how you and Jimin smile to each other and the latter's grip from your wrist.
Taehyung's expression switch from a cold one to an angry one then it was painted with hurt. He stops mid way as he goes for the gate too. Just watching you there alone. He didn't want to approach you when you already told him to stay away.
He couldn't approach you even though he wanted to save you so bad from all the bullying you got earlier. He couldn't approach you when someone was there to save you.
Someone to replace him.
And he thinks he was useless, for he was replaced a bit too soon. Not minding how he sounded like he just came from a broken relationship with you, he was hurt and that's what all that matters.
And you. You matter to him. Your safety matters to him. Your happiness and smiles too. And he would rather have someone else to make you happy than having him making you suffer.
