Jimins pov:

When is this going to end? God this is so boring, I should've just called in sick.
I dragged my fingers across a small portion of the assignment paper infront of me, wondering about random things, anything to occupy myself from falling into the abyss of endless boredom, and that's when she popped into my mind.
I haven't spoken to Y/n all day.
I wonder what she's doing right now.
A light smile appeared on my face.
Remember when we were picking out the flowers, and she bent down to smell one..she's so ador-

"Park Jimin."
My head shot up, interrupted out of my daze to see my father, as well as my other coworkers all staring at me from each of their seats at the table.

"Yes?" I finally forced myself to speak up.
"Are you listening?" My father glared me down.
"Yes. I am" I lied, confidently thinking I'd get away with it.
"Good. If you were listening, why don't you expand on the idea we just presented?" My father challenged.

I frowned.
I at cursed myself at how I could forget how sneaky my father could be.
Everyone's eyes were on me, waiting patiently. And JiHyun - that bastard - smiling smugly, humoured by my humiliation.

"Uhm" I cleared my throat, "I-"
I hesitated, feeling a few beads of sweat trickle along the tip of my nose as my face burned up immediately.
Shit.

"Wasn't listening yes." My father continued a few awkwardly quiet moments later.
I pursed my lips, staring down, feeling like an idiot in front of all my co-workers I see everyday.
"Pay attention, Jimin. This is crucial"
"I know. My apologies"

~

I was exiting the meeting room when I felt a hand slap down onto my shoulder playfully. Though I definitely didn't take it playfully.

"Haha, pay attention Jimin. This is crucial." His voice recalled my fathers lecture, taunting me.
Of course it was him.

"The only time you talk to me today, and it's to mock me" I snarled through gritted teeth, head tilting in the slightest back to JiHyun.
He laughed. "Take a joke big bro"

Deep breaths. Don't kill him.

I started lumbering, trying to get away from JiHyun before I was about to explode. However, I heard the hurried steps of shoes clicking against the tiled floor, catching up with me.

"So, how's your fiancée?"
He mirrored me as I stopped dead.

"She's fine" I simply replied.
"Have you spoken to her at all today?" He raised an eyebrow.
I turned round, facing him directly.

"It's not your place to be asking those type of questions" I said, more as a way to get rid of him, but also because Y/n wasn't a topic I wanted to discuss with him; after his 'date' with my fiancée, trying to swoon her and push me out of the circle, I haven't taking a liking to him even more than usual.

"Alright then. Where is she right now?"

I scoffed.
"Why do you want to know?"
"It's not your place to be asking that type of question" he repeated in the same tone as I had, a small grin forming on his lips.
I pulled in the insides of my cheek, staring to the side in aggravation.
How childish.

"She's a pretty good catch huh?"
I shot a glare at him, slowly cocking my head to the side in a feeling of anger.

"Wouldn't you agree?" He looked at me innocently and didn't need to observe me anymore, because it was obvious I was boiling hotter by every second with him, and he was clearly taking advantage of it.
I didn't answer, clenching my fists within my trouser pockets.

"Oh cmon, I know you were daydreaming about her in the meeting"
"I was not." I snapped, nostrils flaring.
He chuckled. "I think it's a quite obvious you're starting to develop feelings for her. I remember hearing you ask Mrs Y/l/n for Y/n's number in the morning. And, when you said your goodbyes, you asked if Y/n was okay and where she was" he stepped closer to me, facts against...well I had nothing to be honest.

I tried my best to hide my embarrassment but I just felt my face burn hotter and hotter. "So what? Can I not ask for my fiancées number?" I made sure to emphasise who she was to me so that he wouldn't pull another sneaky trick on her.
"No no, of course there's nothing wrong with that," he waved his hands around, chuckling, "but, are you sure she likes you back?" He purposefully taunted.
I stayed quiet.
"I mean, she does take more a liking to...hm let me think," he tutted as if he came to a moment of realisation, "me! If I were you, I'd ask her on a date right about now, like a normal person?"
"Don't tell me what to do" was all I could think to say in my angered spur of a moment.
"Oh, please I'm helping you. Because let's face it, you are a good looking fella and all, but I have the personality" he patted my tense chest in encouragement as if he just gave out words of wisdom.
I took a breath in, "JiHyun, if you don't zip that godforsaken mouth of yours-"

"Jimin."

JiHyun and I glanced to the side to see our father, poker-faced and standing calmly with his hands in his pockets.
We backed away from each other.
"Jimin, come with me"
Why me?
JiHyun looked between me and our father, worried. After scoffing at JiHyun I obeyed and walked with my father.

~

From when I left JiHyun to now in the elevator, he hadn't said a word, causing me to clear my throat involuntarily every few seconds and I'm sure in this silence, he could hear my pounding heartbeat.
"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked in a cracking voice as the elevator started to float down.

"Is something distracting you today? You're not your usual focused self" he simply asked, not looking at me.

I quickly came up with a false excuse.
"I just haven't gotten much sleep lately."
"You do know how important this project is, right?"
"O-of course."
"This costs the company everything" he stated further.
"Yeah.."

We exited the elevator and sauntered to the location of my car in the less packed parking lot.
Silently, I followed behind him, wondering if he was going to say anything else.
He stopped, and stood in front of my car.

"Get some rest. You need it"
"Yeah. Thanks dad"

He smiled momentarily with pursed lips, resting his hand comfortingly on my shoulder before heading his way to his car.

~

"Are you excited!"
"No" you replied, not feeling the least bit as thrilled as your mother was.
"Oh, cmon. You should be"
You sighed. "Yayyyyy" you raised an unbothered fist up in the air, sarcastically celebrating.
"hmph" Your mother rolled her eyes.

You entered the wedding shop for locations today as well as invitation planning. Your mother informed that it was easier to go here, get advice and have all possible locations in one spot rather than having to waste fuel driving to each place.
Also, this is a good chance to decorate wedding invitations.
However, when you walked in, you were being pushed by rushing workers. Today was surprisingly super busy for some reason.
All around people were pacing in every direction.

It wasn't long till you realised you got separated from your mum.
Trying not to panic, you attempted to find her, going on your tip toes to try and see over everybody, however to no avail.

Suddenly you felt a quick force against you, and you stumbled back, about to fall to the ground.
That is, until you felt a pair of hands around your waist.
You looked up, taken aback.

Wow.

A man had caught you; he wore a loose black dress shirt, tucked into black trousers, accented by a matching leather belt. Studying his features, his rich chocolate hair fell straight down onto his clear, spotless face. He had strong arched brows and eyelashes so thick and long it would make any woman question him endlessly of him ways. And then his eyes - they were deep and mesmerizing, an opaque dark brown, the darkest that you could possibly mistake it for black at first glance. He had distinct cheekbones and an angular jaw, his pale skin made him look devilishly handsome.
He was basically gods work staring into your eyes.

"Are you alright" his deep, husky voice asked over all the continuing chatter in the background.
Your lips were parted and your palms still gripped his broad shoulders, yet nothing managed to come out and salvage this situation.
He chuckled and brought you back up to your feet.

"That was close, could've been a horrible fall"
You backed away in the little space you had and smiled wobbly. "Y-Yeah. T-thanks"

"S'cuse me"
You two looked to the source of the person who had just interrupted your conversation with this hunk.

"Jimin?"
He stood a little to the side of you two, watching down upon the guy as your eyes darted between them.
"Those were your hands on my fiancée" He glowered at the man, taking steps closer to him.

What? He's never addressed me as his fiancée before today.

"Look, I just stopped her from falling. I didn't know she was your fiancée, and either way I still would've helped her" he defended, a fair point, but not in the eyes of Jimin as he glared at the guy and continued to walk even closer to him.
He stepped back a little afraid, and as did you.

"Sorry man" he brought his hands up as if Jimin were a cop, and he was just about to get arrested.
"That's what I thought" Jimin hissed.
The guy slipped past Jimin after one quick glance at you and went his own way in confusion and slight fear.

What the hell was that all about?

He turned to you, expression still upholding those chilling yet attractive dark eyes and plank lips.
"Cmon, lets go" he grabbed your hand.

You didn't contravene and quietly followed him to wherever he was leading you.
All the while he gripped your hand tightly, making sure you wouldn't get lost again. His hand was comparatively larger than yours (not today mochi hands) you noticed, and felt a blush which you tried to rid of hastily.

Jimin let go of you and seconds after your mother stood in front of you.
"Y/n, my goodness I was so worried. What happened to you?" Your mother clutched you tightly like you hadn't seen her for years and you found it difficult to breathe.

"I..just got separated from you in that massive crowd. It's no big deal Mum"
"I'm just happy you're okay. You're not hurt are you?" She pulled away.

You spared a glance towards a straight faced Jimin and back at your mother, "No, I'm fine"

After that little chat, you followed the worker who was to discuss your wedding plan with you.

~ ▌▌~

She had led you to her office which was spacey and didn't have people pushing every two seconds. Well, of course because it was just you four.
Though, with all distraction gone, you felt as if you still couldn't concentrate - the little incident that happened earlier really occupying your thoughts.

Instead of sitting at the desk where only two people could talk professionally to her without having to shout from the back of the room, she brought out an iPad and you and Jimin sat next to each other on the couch, while each of your mothers sat on either end of the single chairs.
A part of you wished you were in the single chair right now, because Jimin and your thighs touching gave you another thing to think about.

"Hi, my name is Daisy and I'll be helping you with locations and invitations today. I believe we scheduled locations for your wedding first right?" She checked, bringing over a chair from her desk so she had somewhere appropriate to sit.
"Yes, we did" Jimin answered.
"And it's Park Jimin and Y/n Y/l/n's wedding, correct?"
"Correct."
"So, as you are getting married in 2 months time, we'll need to find a free spot somewhere and book you. There are catalogues on the table," everyone's heads immediately went down to the table, "which you can check for possible places for your wedding"

Only you and your mother could pick up a catalogue since they were all on the left, so you handed two to Jimin, your hands grazing gently. He cleared his throat after a moments hesitation and gave one to his mother.

"How about gold? Gold will go better" You heard Mrs Park say in the background.

After a long, 1 hour chat with the lady, your time was up, and you had a few places in mind, though haven't settled yet. Therefore, you were told to come back in about 4-6 weeks because they were seriously all booked up. However, it wasn't problem, well, for Jimin it wasn't. He seemed to just control the whole conversation. Not that you really complained, but you wondered what you were going to do within 4-6 weeks if you haven't said yes to a set location yet.

You huffed and started looking around, not noticing that you were slowly wandering off from everyone.
Couples were sprawled around everywhere, talking amongst themselves.
Some couples looked cute, some looked questionable - as in the fact that they seemed to be uninterested and as bored as you were.
There was someone that caught your eye in particular; the same guy from earlier.
And he was coming your way without knowing.

He now stood just before you, noticing you, surprised to bump into you again.
"Uh, hey!" You started anxiously.
"Hey" he waved his hand lightly.
Then you noticed how attractive and manly his hands were; big, veiny with long fingers.

"So..." he scratched the back of his neck, "you're looking at invitations huh?"
You smiled lightly, "Yeah."
"Uh..." You started, noticing that he didn't have a woman with him. "If you don't mind me asking, where's your fiancée?"
"I don't have one" he chuckled once.
"You don't? So...why are you here?"
"My brother" he nodded, "Yeah, he's getting married and we're super close so he brought me along with him"
"Awh, that's sweet"

"Y/n?"
"Jimin." Your eyes widened at the guy as you didn't have to look back at who said your name. "Hey, uh.."
He's so attentive, jeez.

"You again?" He muttered, looking at the guy infront of you.
He smirked at Jimin, using his jealousy to his advantage and humour. He turned back to you, "So, maybe you and I should catch up some other time hm?" He asked.

You gasped when Jimin suddenly put his hand on your waist, pulling you close to him so that your hips down was against his.
"Sorry, me and my fiancée are busy looking at invitations for our wedding." He emphasised on the words fiancée and wedding, making sure to get the message across to him.
"Oops, sorry I didn't know that she was your fiancée, except from earlier heh" his smirk stayed plastered on his face.
You felt Jimin squeeze a little on your waist as a release along with his forced devious smile back at the guy. Your breath hitched with his tightened grip.

"Chan? What're you doing? We have to go" Another man, aged probably about a year or so older than Chan appeared, gesturing for him to come.
You thought he was his brother whom he was really close to, seeing as they look so alike.

Chan sighed, a little out of relief, "I think I should get going now." he turned to you.
"Bye, Y/n"
He knows my name what the hell?
(He was listening to when Jimin called her lol)
"Y-yeah..bye"
"And bye..whatever your name is" he said to Jimin.

"Jimin." He smiled with utter offence.
"Bye, Jimin" his face fell as soon as he spoke his name.

As soon as he left with his brother, Jimin stepped directly in front of you, his hand sliding over your waist and back, making you wince.
He leant down slowly to whisper into your ear, "Don't talk or even look at him again. Got it?"
You nodded softly, feeling chills go down your spine as his warm breath hit your ear and a little of your neck.
"Good. Let's go"

Keeping his hand on your waist, he took you back with him to look again at the invitations.
Your mother and Mrs Parks reaction to your position was quite...concerning.
They flipped out, screaming almost.
Jimin just grinned, smug while you blushed uncontrollably.

~

~ ▌▌~

Settling on choosing gold invitations and well as metallic toned card placements for the names of your guests, you and Jimin were currently standing outside, as your mothers had requested of you as they caught up with a friend from years ago, still inside; a dreaded, relatable moment with any child, no matter your age.

You rocked back and forth gently, your eyes scanning around. Jimin was talking on his phone from which he had excused himself.

So, here you stood in the evening street, Jimin's touch lingering on you. Giving up, you continuously thought about what happened, the contact between you two, how hot jealousy looked on him, his raspy voice in your ear.
Ugh, no way are you starting to fall for him just after that. But, if he was jealous, doesn't that mean he cares about you?

"Sorry, about that"
You quickly looked up, snapped out of your indecisive thoughts to see Jimin.
How long was he standing there for?

"No, it's okay"
"So..." he started.
"So..." you repeated.

The air was awkward.
You didn't know what to do or say.
How does one start a conversation?
The action seemed as hard as climbing Mount Everest right now.

Jimin thought back to his chat with his brother, but if he had to admit, he was constantly thinking about it. Jimin knew JiHyun had a point, but I've got the personality, which for him, was a big no cause he was an absolute bastard to him.
But to you, it's different.
Though he couldn't know any of this for sure, he knew he wanted to try one apprehended thing JiHyun suggested; asking you out on a date.

"Are you..," he began and you were immediately all ears, "..agh" he sighed, staring down to the side while scratching his neck.
You furrowed your eyebrows, waiting in anticipation for him to carry on.
"Do you want to..." He faltered again, at a loss for words.
He mentally face palmed at how cowardly he was being with you. This isn't anything you're new to, why are you having such a hard time asking her on a simple date?!

"Do I?" You urged him to continue.
"I was thinking...maybe you and I could-"
"Ah! There you two are"
No, why. At this timing?
"What's wrong?" Your mother asked you.
"Nothing" you shook away your disappointed face.
"Okay then, I think that's a wrap for today!"
"Yeah" Jimin muttered under his breath.

"Is...something the matter?" Your mother queried, noticing your and Jimin's odd behaviour.
"N-no, nothing" Jimin stuttered.
"Right then..." she sounded unconvinced. "Should we..?"
You looked down, away from Jimins gape. "Yeah. Let's head home" you said.

While in the car you couldn't help but imagine what Jimin was trying to say to you.
What if he wanted to ask you out- no. Are you serious?
There's no way he would do, or even attempt to do something like that.
You sighed, leaning your head against your cars headrest in distress.
