(Oh, right... We're not in Philip Castle.)

The day after we began life on the farm. I woke to bright light and I looked around at my surroundings.

(Huh? Wilfred's not here?)

I thought absently to myself then I sat sharply up in the bed. Prince Wilfred had been sleeping at my side last night. But now he was nowhere in the room to be found.

(But he said he'd tell me in the morning...)

(Don't tell me he wanted to avoid talking so much that he left?)

A giggle escaped me at the thought.

(Hah, that would be the day. After all, he promised me about last night.)

I could still feel the heat from our night together.

(But what good would it do to doubt him after marrying him?)

I thought to myself as I threw my clothes on and raced out of the house.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a bit of a walk out from the house... I quickly spotted the person I sought from behind.
(Ah...)
He was looking at something in front of a shed.
Regina: "Wilfred...?"
I called out.
Wilfred: "Oh, hey... you're up early."
He turned around and he smiled gently to me. The sight of that assured me that I wasn't wrong to trust in him.
Regina: "I should say the same to you."
Regina: "I was worried when I woke up and I saw you were gone."
Wilfred: "Oh... sorry. Here, have a look."
Wilfred: "This looks.... delicious."
He picked up an apple and he looked back at me.
Wilfred: "Don't you think?"
He had a blithe smile that he only ever shared with me. I felt my lips curling into a smile of their own.
Regina: "Yeah, it sure does."
I nodded my head and I gazed at the bright red apple in his hand.
Wilfred: "Maybe I'll buy one."
(Er...)
Regina: "I think you're supposed to buy them in bunches."
I looked at the price list. It was 1 culs per bunch.
(Wow, that's cheap...)
Regina: "I think it's 1 culs for 5 apples."
Wilfred: "1 culs? Isn't that about what it costs for a hamburger or a can of juice?"
Wilfred: "5 apples, for that price..."
He furrowed his brows.
Wilfred: "Can one live on a price like that?"
Regina: "Mm..."
Regina: "Maybe the ones here are just ones they couldn't offload on stores?"
Wilfred: "What do you mean?"
Regina: "I'm not that up on the details, but..."
Regina: "I'm pretty sure stores won't buy ones that have a bad color or shape."
Wilfred: "I follow you."
Regina: "But I don't think they taste any different."
Regina: "So they sell those here. It's cheap to sell in an empty stall..."
His eyes lit up at my words.
Wilfred: "An empty stall. How are they supposed to sell them with no one here?"
I pointed to the box placed nearby.
Regina: "I think you're supposed to put the money in here."
Regina: "Then you take what you paid for."
Prince Wilfred got an expression of disbelief.
Wilfred: "What would happen if someone of poor morals came by?"
Regina: "Well... I guess they could take what they wanted..."
Wilfred: "Wouldn't it also endanger the money in the box?"
He asked me in a serious tone and I gave a helpless shrug.
Regina: "It would, but... I doubt there's anyone like that around here."
Wilfred: "You doubt it?"
Regina: "Yeah. The only ones that come by here are locals that lives in the area."
Regina: "So I figure they use the honor system."
Wilfred: "The honor system..."
He fell silent and I let out a soft sigh.
(I guess for someone of the royal family...)
(It could be pretty hard to believe.)
(And I never even knew such places existed in our own kingdom...)
Regina: "Anyway... we should start getting breakfast ready."
Regina: "Could you put 1 culs in here."
I urged him with a smile and he hesitantly dropped the money into the box. Just as we finished picking out our apples and started back.
???: "It's you two..."
We came across the middle-aged man from the other day.
(Ah...)
Older Man: "What are you doing here?"
His eyes were widen. He must have recognized us.
(Oh what should I do...?)
I glanced at Prince WIlfred and I saw him, was bow his head with a serious expression.
Wilfred: "I'm sorry about the other day."
Older Man: "Nah... I'm the one that's sorry."
Wilfred: "I'm doing some research into the farm taxes that were revised last year."
The middle-aged man's eyebrows twitched.
Older Man: "Research? What kind of research?"
Wilfred: "I can't share the details, but I wish to find if there's anything I can do..."
The middle-aged man's expression twisted.
Older Man: "If all you've got to offer is lip service, you can take it somewhere else."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After we got back to the house. Prince Wilfred and I had a breakfast devoid of conversation.

(That's man's words must have come as a shock to him...)

But he kept eating breakfast with a perfectly normal expression for him. And... I asked him nothing.

(I'll just wait for Wilfred to bring it all up... but I won't ask.)

When I finished putting away the dishes from breakfast...

Regina: "Here, have some tea. And one of the apples we bought."

I set a teacup down on the table. And with it, I also placed down a dish with an apple carved into flower shapes. He picked up one of the apple-flowers and he smiled faintly.

Wilfred: "I didn't know you were such a good craftsman."

He took a bite and perked visibly.

Wilfred: "...Delicious."

He gave a soft sigh and murmured to himself.

Wilfred: "I've never known such an idyllic lifestyle."

Regina: "Hm...?"

Wilfred: "But harvesting and softing vegetables, day in and day out..."

Wilfred: "It looks like hard work."

Wilfred: "Not to mention the apples."

Regina: "Yeah... but people have all their own lifestyles."

Wilfred: "I know that. And lifestyles are well enough if they make people happy..."

Wilfred: "Both here and elsewhere. It's just..."

He said as setting his cup on the table.

Wilfred: "Are they happy?"

(Ah... he's really bothered over the mention of those taxes.)

(Not to mention the chewing out he just got.)

Regina: "Wilfred, if this is about what that man said..."

Wilfred: "I tried to ascertain the details of the revisions from last year."

(What...?)

He continued.

Regina: "By revisions..."

Regina: "Do you mean the tax rates that got brought up the other day?"

Wilfred: "Yes. But the documents about it are missing."

Regina: "...They are?"

Wilfred: "Yes. The documents are all missing, even the minutes from the proceedings."

Wilfred: "But I did figure out that the revisions were odd, by legal standards."

Wilfred: "It's almost like..."

He said then he looking straight at me.

Wilfred: "Like paying tribute money to a crime syndicate."

Regina: "Tribute money? Are the tax rates really that outrageous?"

Wilfred: "Yes. At the rate they're at it's only natural that the farmers' livelihoods would suffer."

Wilfred: "I can see why they view us with such hostility."

Regina: "Wilfred..."

Wilfred: "I don't think that what I'm doing is just lip service."

Wilfred: "But at the rate this is going..."

His expression grew unusually fretful and I quietly took his hand.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Several hours later. I was cooking dinner in the kitchen.
(But, what could be going on with documents being missing?)
(Does that mean that someone on the inside covered them up?)
According to Wilfred, but he had checked with the king and his cabinet ministers. And none of them knew the whereabouts of the documents. But only a select group of people had access to the storage area where the documents belonged. Just then, behind me...
Wilfred: "...Regina."
I jumped with a startled when Prince WIlfred embraced me from behind.
Regina: "Hey, I'm using an open flame! It's dangerous to startle me like that!"
He reached over to the gas stove's switch.
Wilfred: "It's more dangerous to leave it like that."
(Huh...?)
The fire went out with a click and the rattling as I finally noticed from the pot lid went silent.
Regina: "Oh... sorry. I just..."
He squeezed me more tightly as cutting me off.
Wilfred: "It's okay, Regina. You don't have have to worry."
Regina: "Come, now... how can I help but worry?"
I squirmed as trying to get loose and I gazed at him.
Regina: "After all, you have no idea where important documents are..."
Regina: "And those outrageous rates..."
Just then, his lips sealed mine to cut me off again.
(Mm...)
His warmth quickly drew back.
Wilfred: "...Settle down."
And I greeted with his gentle gazed.
Wilfred: "I understand that you're worried."
Wilfred: "But right now, there are too many uncertain variables to be sure of anything."
Regina: "Many so, but..."
Silence fell over us.
Wilfred: "...Let's go home, tomorrow."
He murmured and I gasped softly.
(What...?)
Wilfred: "Living here has shown me what he meant."
Wilfred: "Granted, I know I haven't had the full experience."
Wilfred: "But up until now, I didn't even know that much."
He said sadly and he glanced at me.
Wilfred: "I honestly wish I could stay here and look into more, but..."
Wilfred: "For now, we should go back and get ready to resume our duties."
Wilfred: "Sorry I dragged you out here with me."
Regina: "For now? Does that mean you'll come back again?"
Wilfred: "Yes. But right now there are things I must attend to in the castle. So..."
His pained expression left me tongue-tied. Until...
Regina: "...Alright."
I nodded my head as steadily.
Regina: "We'll do as you wish and go back tomorrow. But..."
Regina: "Aren't we here together today?"
I asked and he smiled happily.
Wilfred: "Of course we are... always."
His gentle hands embraced me once more.
Wilfred: "Thank you, Regina..."
He lifted me up in his arms like bride or princess style and he carried me to our bed. He laid me down in the bed and he looked upon me with his blue eyes. My heart gave a pound as I asked him.
Regina: "Wait Wilfred... what about the dinner?"
Wilfred: "I'll have that later, of course. But right now, I want..."
~Warning: SMUT (LEMON) IS COMING~
His fingertip ran gently over my lips.
(Ooh...)
A ticklish sensation ran through me and then heat descended upon me.
(Wilfred...)
Wilfred: "This is our last night there... right?"
Regina: "Y-Yeah..."
I could feel the warmth from his body. I gave in and enjoyed a pleasurable time together with him. I gasps when he thrusted his hard shaft inside me harder as we completely our naked bodies, he moved his hips to thrusted in me goes deeper and deeper paced as I moans louder and he groans louder.
Regina: "Ngh... ahhh... mmm... haaa.... ahhh..."
Wilfred: "So cute..."
He moans when he pulled me up as he laid down in the bed and I place my hands down on his abs, then he thrusted in me even harder and harder as I gasp and he grunts louder when the bed are creaking as our skin are slapped harder filled in the bedroom as echo noise, I breathing heavily as cute tone as he moans then grunts louder and I felt his tip of shaft rammed in my g-spot even more harder and harder as I arches my back when I scream and moans louder then he grunt louder and he watched my boobs are bouncing. I felt his hard shaft are throbbing when he slammed in me then his tip of shaft are shooting the cum inside and we moans pleasure. I laid down on his chest as we flip over when he pulled his hard shaft out of my core.
~End of Smut (Lemon)~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When it was still dark outside the window. Our sweaty, naked bodies lay exposed in the bed. Prince Wilfred murmured absently as he laid back.

Wilfred: "I hope we can spend more quality time here."

Regina: "Yes... let's come here again after everything's settled."

Wilfred: "Good idea. Say..."

He looked at me.

Wilfred: "Those apples at lunch."

Regina: "What about them?"

Wilfred: "How do you get them in such cute shapes?"

I couldn't help but smile at his random question.

Regina: "You mean the flower shapes I cut them in?"

Regina: "You do it with a knife. Did you want to make some?"

I asked teasingly. After he gave it a moment's thought, he let out a soft sigh.

Wilfred: "Sure... if I have a good teacher."

(Er...)

Heat descended once more upon my bare form.

Regina: "Oh, Wilfred..."

Even as I spoke, close my eyes as he nestled against me.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next morning. I was with Prince Wilfred waiting for our ride to come, when...
???: "Hey, it's the lady from the other day!"
The farmer boy came running up to me.
Regina: "Hi there. What's going on?"
Boy: "I'm playing soccer... but what's going on with you?"
He asked curiously as looking at our large bags of luggage.
Boy: "Are you... going away?"
I stood there as tongue-tied for a moment before forcing a smile and I speaking up.
Regina: "Yeah... we have some things we have to take care of."
Boy: "Like what?"
Regina: "Well..."
The boy tilted his hand and I was at a loss for how to answer him.
Wilfred: "We want to do some things to make everybody happy."
Prince Wilfred finally broke his silence with a soft smile.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Several hours later. Claude picked us up and we returned to Philip Castle.

Wilfred: "Regina... sorry, but I need to take care of all the tasks that I have piled up in my absence."

Wilfred: "You don't have to wait up for me."

Regina: "But... ins't there anything I can do to help...?"

Claude interjected at that point.

Claude: "One moment."

Claude: "Lady Regina, you have other preparations to attend to."

Regina: "Preparations?"

Claude: "Yes, milady Regina."

Claude: "There will be a gathering of relatives of the royal family next week."

(What? I've heard nothing about that.)

Wilfred: "Ah... yes, I do recall that now."

Prince Wilfred glanced at me.

Wilfred: "I'd appreciate it if you could act on my behalf as well."

(What? On his behalf?)

Regina: "Um... what exactly am I doing?"

Claude: "Well, to start with..."

As I listened to Claude explain when I started to grow a little bit anxious.

(...Will I be okay about attending a royal family gathering?)

(This will be my first big event since my marriage...)

A gathering of relatives scheduled for next week. At the time, I had no inkling... of the impact it would have on my relationship with my husband.
