ZAK's POV
I really don't know how to tell Sydney that my friend Yusuf wants to marry her. Yusuf has been my best friend for three years and I trust him . But I still think his a bit older, his three years older and I still don't know if Sydney will accept.
I call Dney (pronounced deni) to my room to finally have a chat with her. 'When you go to America... don't get into any trouble and make sure you lower your gaze. Dney...I have something really important to tell you ok, but don't freak out' I started telling her bit by bit. 'You know my friend Yusuf right'
'Yeah?' she said, I could see her nervous.
'Well he kind of.... Wantstogetmarriedwithyou' I say hoping she doesn't freak out.
'WHAT!??, I AM NOT GETTING MARRIED TO YOUR BEST FRIEND' she literally shouted.
I quickly put my hand on her mouth and told her to be quiet.
SYDNEY 'S POV
He wants me to get married with his best friend, seriously? Okay let me tell you something about my brother. He isn't religious, I mean he barely prays without my dad telling him. He has a girlfriend that he kept a secret from his own family. He has friends that do shisha and they have girlfriends too. And they're all like outlaws I swear! I seriously don't want to get married with his friend!
'Seriously Dney, the just give him a chance? He thinks you're very smart and beautiful and he said he wanted to come and propose but you were leaving so I thought maybe I should tell you before you go, so when you come for a visit you can give your answer?' he told me thinking I would accept but I was freaking out, I seriously want to marry a guy who is religious and doesn't have any piercing or tattoos and doesn't do shisha.
'No way!!! I am not marrying Yusuf ... EVER!' I demanded, very angry and my final answer.
'Dney come on give him a chance, his a good guy' he told me
'Look Zak I'm not going to marry a guy whose just... good. I haven't even gotten to know him properly, OKAY?' I said fierce
'Look we will talk when you come back from America, which is three months later from now. For now I'll tell Yusuf to hang on' he told me a bit pissed off.
I just rolled my eyes and left.
