"Look at the moon, it's so pretty," I gasped, pointing at the sky.
Lightly covered by thin clouds was a bright, full moon, shining beautifully against the dark sky.
"You're right," Levi murmured, his eyes gentle.
"How long has it been, since we just sat down, and looked at the sky?"
"Too long," Levi answered, his voice barely a whisper. He lifted his head and closed his eyes as a soft breeze passed through us, gently swaying his raven hair back and forth.
He really is handsome.
A small blush crept up my cheeks, and I let it be, since I didn't have any control over it anyway.
About a year ago, I would've said he's good looking, then say something along the line, "but he's a bitch" and then deny anything about liking him.
But now, after accepting how my hormones forced me to be attracted to this fine specimen, I no longer deny it. He's handsome and he's a bitch. But I've fallen for this bitch.
Levi's eyes opened abruptly, and his steel orbs darted over to me almost instantly. He turned his head, looking at me with slight curiosity in his eyes.
Crap, I was staring at him.
I scratched the back of my head. "Uhh... I thought there was... a bug on your face..."
Levi silently stared at me for a little longer, before he slipped a hand inside his coat and pulled out a white cloth, lightly wiping his face.
"But there wasn't....." I trailed off as Levi stood up and brought his eyes to mine once again. His gaze was expressionless.
"There's a cockroach on your head," he said flatly, his eyes still on mine.
I stood up as well. "No, there isn't. I would've felt it."
Levi stared at me for a few more seconds, before looking away. "Oh really? Then that means you were also lying before."
I didn't even try to defend myself. It was one hell of a shitty excuse. But there was another question in my head. "If you knew there was no bug, then why'd you wipe your face anyway?"
"Your staring, and whatever you were thinking during it, made it dirty," he replied with a monotone voice, walking away.
I blushed in embarrassment, my eyes widening. Gritting my teeth with hopes that the fierce shade of red would calm down, I jogged towards Levi, catching up with him.
When I was less than a meter close to him, he stopped abruptly and turned around. My feet skidded on the ground as I pulled myself to a harsh halt.
Levi didn't even react when I nearly smashed my head against his. I was going to complain on what the fuck he was doing, but I paused myself when I saw his eyes narrowing sharply at me.
Was he.... observing me?
"...what?" I asked hesitantly, taking a few steps back.
Levi blinked and placed a hand over his eyes, remaining silent for a while. I thought he was just going to walk away, but he didn't.
"You're different now... (Y/N)."
My eyes slightly widened at his words. "What? What's different?"
Levi sighed, removing his hand from his face. "I don't know. You're not the same as when I first met you."
"Levi," I let out a small chuckle. "We first met almost 2 years ago. Of course I would've changed over time." I paused, swallowing nervously. "Just like you did."
This caught Levi attention. "Me? I changed?"
"You're not... as cold as you were before... at least, that's what I think."
Levi didn't respond immediately. "Well, you're not as shitty as before either."
The raven walked towards me, taking slow steps, his eyes never leaving mine. I froze, unable to move as he reached right in front of me.
"(Y/N).... I don't know how to say this.."
My heart raced violently in my chest, and I struggled not to completely lose my composure. "Say... what?"
"I-.... I..... uhh..."
Wow. He really seemed lost for words.
Levi shifted uncomfortably, losing his eye contact with me. He fiddled his hands, and kept looking to his sides.
He looks....
..
..
..
...adorable.
Please tell me you're going to say what I'm hoping you'd say.
"That day," Levi began, "I rejected Petra because of three reasons."
I fell silent, watching him with wide eyes.
"The first one... is because I didn't see her as... more than a friend."
No words came out of my mouth.
"The second one... is that... I had interest on... someone else."
My heart slammed furiously against my ribs.
"The third one.... I...... can't say.... right now."
Curiosity rose inside of me at his last words, but they were pushed away by another lingering question. "Who were you interested in....?"
This time, Levi looked straight into my eyes. "I had... mild curiosity in this girl... she's weird, she acts unlike most people, she's barely feminine."
I barely had any more patience in me.
"That girl.... is Hanji..."
My heart probably died of shock. My mouth fell open, and every single hope I had in me shattered. A fierce wave of sadness and depression washed over me, making my legs so weak I could barely stand.
I wanted to puke, to vomit, to run away as far as I can.
As I took a step away, Levi's voice rang in my ears.
"....--'s friend, who's name is... (Y/N)."
Now I didn't know what to think. Everything's blank.
My mind is blank. My emotions are blank. My heart already died, so that's also blank as well. I don't even know what to say to that.
"Erwin told me... that the interest I had for you... is called love."
Is he really going to say it?
I felt a hand gently grab mine, softly pulling me forward. Finally, I had the courage to look at his eyes.
"As cheesy as this may fucking sound, you really are beautiful, and I'm not talking about your physical appearance."
No words came out of my mouth.
"You're different, you're so different than any other girl I've come across in my life."
I still had no idea what to say to him.
"But...." Levi suddenly said, his tone changing. "I don't think I'm ready for a relationship. At least, not yet. I just wanted to let you know how I felt about you."
He let go of my hand and moved back a bit, loosening the scarf on his neck.
What? I don't get it. What just happened?
"I gotta go," Levi murmured, taking his scarf off and wrapping it around my neck. "Stay safe."
And with that, he walked away leaving me alone in the dim lighted park.

In just 4 more hours, I'd be beading down to prom, with Levi as my date. I stared at the dress Petra had bought for me as a gift, trying to imagine myself wearing it.
"It's kinda hard to believe you're going to wear that tonight," Eren commented, giving me a disbelieving look.
I rolled my eyes and turned around to look at him, not giving a reply. Eren and Armin came over to my room to discuss the exact date for when we go and visit Ms. Falida.
We decided we'd go 2 days after the whole prom thing, but we haven't bought the tickets just yet.
"Are you really going to prom with Levi, (Y/N)?" Armin asked, tilting his head.
"Yeah. Oh, and by the way..." I swept my gaze over the two people sitting on my bed. "Who are you two going with huh?"
Eren crossed his arms. "Well duh, I'm going with Mikasa for sure."
I glanced at Armin, who was a little nervous on answering. When he took a little too long, I encouraged him, "Come on Armin, tell your siblings."
"I-... I'm going with... Annie."
"What?!" Both me and Eren exclaimed.
"I thought Annie and Bertholdt had a thing going on?" Eren asked, his eyes wide.
"Yeah, Bertholdt's had a crush on her since I can remember," I added.
Armin figedted his hands. "Well, Annie knows Bertholdt likes her... but she says she only sees him as a friend."
"Well that's surprising--"
An opening ringtone from the PA system cut Eren off abruptly, and the three of us curiously lifted our heads up.
"(Y/N) (L/N), Eren Jaeger and Armin Arlert. Students whose names are mentioned are to head to the principal's office immediately. I repeat, (Y/N) (L/N), Eren Jaeger and Armin Arlert, please head to the principal's office immediately. Thank you."
"What's going on," Armin muttered, glancing at Eren accusingly, "You didn't fight Jean again did you?"
"No! I haven't seen the bastard the whole day!" Eren exclaimed. "Besides, if it was about me fighting Jean, why would you and (Y/N) also get called?"
I ignored the two boys' ramble, and quickly slipped on my jacket, taking everything I needed along the way. "Let's go."
The tension was high between the three of us as we rushed our way to the principal's office. We made the last turn, me almost crashing into another person in the process.
"Levi? Erwin?"
"Mikasa?" Eren was looking the opposite direction, gazing at the raven haired girl who was rushing to catch up to us.
"Oy," I turned back to Levi, "What're you two doing here?"
Worry flashed in his steel eyes. "We heard your name get called. What's going on?"
"I have no idea," I said in a low tone. The door to the principal's office opened, and a teacher poked their head out and shouted, "Only the three students that're called are allowed to come in! The rest of you stay outside!"
I looked at Eren and Armin, who both shared the same concerned expression as mine.
We entered the cool office, greeted by the principal sitting behind his desk, a dark expression carved onto his face. "Please, take a seat."
I was surprised to see Mr. Hannes standing beside the desk.
We each took a seat that was already prepared for us, with me somehow sitting in the middle.
Before the principal could even speak, Eren butted in, "Sir, I'm not in trouble, am I? I swear I haven't layed a finger on Jean this month."
There was a small, brief chuckle from him, before he shook his head lightly. "No Eren, I'm relieved to hear that you have been on your best behavior. But, that isn't what I called you three for."
His expression returned to it's initial form, dark and grim. He carefully unfolded a paper, and placed it down on the desk, pushing it towards me.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw the symbol on the top right corner of the paper. And everything suddenly fell apart when I heard his next words.
"I've called you three here, because we just recieved a call and email from (hometown/name) Homicide Investigation Team a few minutes ago."
I couldn't hold myself any longer when I heard what he said next.
"Your caretaker and legal guardian, Ms. Falida Lilian Sabira was found dead earlier this afternoon."
