JULIA
Within the past few days, the Mikaelson family had been planning the attack on Aideen alongside Marcel and his group. They had no clue how much of an army Aideen had, so they got as many people together to fight as they could. Today was the day that they decided to go to Aideen and end this, once and for all.
Klaus and Elijah had forged a plan that Julia didn't believe would work. So, she created a new one without the knowledge of the two brothers.
"Julia, you're insane." Avery says, walking past Julia and shaking her head. "You would die and I can't let you do that."
"You don't understand, Avery." Julia says, following the witch. "This is the only way for Aideen to die."
"It isn't. The Mikaelson brothers are planning on going there tonight to finish Aideen off, once they do, you'll be safe and so will your baby."
"Do you truly believe Aideen doesn't know that they're going tonight? Do you really think a 600 year old hybrid doesn't have an army waiting for her? You know as well as I do that the moment Klaus and Elijah set foot on her property, they're as good as dead."
"You're as good as dead if you do this."
Julia chuckles and shakes her head, Avery truly doesn't understand what Julia is trying to say here.
"Avery, I won't remain dead." Julia says, walking towards the witch. "I'll come back...as a hybrid."
Avery's eyes open wide as she takes a deep breath. To Julia, this was the element of surprise they needed to take down Aideen.
"You want to come back as the thing that we're trying to kill? You really have lost your damn mind."
"Avery," Julia says, grabbing the witches arm to stop her from walking away. "If you don't do this for me, I'll just find someone else who will."
"Why can't you just let things be? Just trust Elijah and Klaus, Julia."
"I can't let things be because Aideen is here for me or my child. I won't let Elijah and Niklaus take the fall for this." Julia says.
Avery sits down in a chair and rests her head in her hands. It's not that she doesn't believe it'll work, or that she'll mess it up, it's the fact that Julia truly wants to do this. The fact that she wants to become an abomination.
"What about your daughter?"
"What about Adira?"
"She'll grow up with not one blood thirsty parent, but two. Is that what you want for her?" Avery snaps at Julia.
Looks away from Avery, Julia sighs. She did think about that. About what it'll be like for Adira to have a mother who needs a break from playing because she needs to feed...the thing that scared Julia the most about going through with this, was what if she feeds on her daughter?
"I already thought about it." Julia says, sitting down besides Avery. "I still need to do this. I won't let the Mikaelson brothers sacrifice themselves or put themselves in danger for me."
"Why not? I say good riddance."
"Cut the shit, Avery." Julia raises her voice slightly. "Will you do this for me or not?"
As Avery looks over and into Julia's eyes, she sees nothing but pain, and a sadness she can't quite explain. She knows that in Julia's heart, she believes this for the greater good. Avery never understood how deep a mother's love ran until this very moment. In a swift motion, and a simple word, Avery responds.
"Yes."
KLAUS
The day goes by at an alarming rate. At almost sunset, Klaus paces the compound ground. As he was about to go to Aideens house alongside Elijah and Marcellus, he got a phone call from Julia, telling him to meet her at the compound. Now, as he stands there watching the front doors, he begins to become anxious. What if she's been captured and being used as bait to lure Klaus? Suddenly, he's snapped out of his thoughts by the sound of Julia's voice.
"Julia, what was so urgent for us to meet here?" He asks, watching as Julia speed walks towards him. "Elijah and myself were about to end that traitorous bitch once and for all-"
Klaus is cut off by Julia. Without speaking, without easing in slowly, she kisses Niklaus. The force of the kiss is so strong it sends Niklaus stumbling back a few feet in shock, where he ends up pressing against a pillar. Her hands aggressively grip the collar of his jacket as she brings his body against hers with a force she's never shown before. Her tongue roams around against his as his hands reach up her back and grip her waist. As each kiss grows more intense, Klaus feels an urge of a sudden sexual drive he hasn't felt since...the first time they had sex. Before anything more can happen, Julia pulls back and rests her forehead against his. Taking deep breaths, Klaus breaks a smile.
"That was-" he searches for the right words, but fails to find any.
"Incredible?" Julia asks, mimicking his accent.
Klaus just chuckles in response.
"I love you, Klaus Mikaelson." She whispers to him, her chin resting against his shoulder. "More so than you can ever imagine, just know that."
Klaus pulls her back and looks into her eyes. He believes what drew him into her was how beautifully pale her eyes were. They were gentle and caring, but also thunderous and demanding. To him, her eyes were like the eye of a hurricane. They were the calmness in the center of a storm.
"I love you, Julia Labonair." He says back, a smile of relief shattering over his plump, soft lips. Almost like a shy schoolboy, he looks away and tries to hide his smile.
"I know you do, Niklaus." She quietly says, a single tear running down her face.
"No, you don't understand what I mean, love." He says, placing his hands on her cheeks. "I love you. Over the course of a thousand years I have had many lovers. Women who thought I could one day love, but I never did. My pride and my stubbornness have blinded me to love for so long. When I met you, when I first felt your hand caress my cheek, or felt your lips brush against mine...I knew you were the one whom I had fallen in love with. Watching you stand up to not only me but to my brother and Marcellus, didn't anger me like it should have, it made me feel proud and amazed at the confidence you have." Klaus looks away and purses his lips. So much he wishes to tell her, yet the words aren't coming to him as he wishes they would. "You have been my warrior when a fight was coming. You have been the angel on my shoulder that tells me to do right. You have been the woman who has taught me...how to love again, and just any love. An unconditional love." He wipes away a tear that begins to stain into her cheek and smirks. "Julia, my little wolf, you have been my anchor holding me down in the midst of a storm."
Julia stares into Klaus eyes in shock. Never before has she seen that side of Niklaus, never before has she been told all that by anyone. With a quick kiss on the cheek and a smile, she turns and walks away from Klaus...headed to her uncertain death.
JULIA
"Time is running short." Julia says as she rushes into Avery's apartment. "They're on the move now to Aideens place."
"Julia, are you sure about this?" Avery asks, handing her a vile of Klaus blood.
"No, I'm not." She says, taking the vile from Avery and drinking it. At first, Julia gags, the blood tasted cold, it tasted metallic and causes her to feel as though she's about to throw up. "But this isn't for me, it's for my family."
"The linking spell, once intact, will cause her to feel the same everything you do." Avery picks up the stake that lies on the table beside her, and hands it to Julia. "Once I've completed the spell...you know what to do."
Her hands shake almost uncontrollably, and she feels nauseous in her stomach. The last thing she wishes to be is a hybrid, but with the help of Elijah and Klaus, she knows she can overcome the bloodlust and control it.
"Just do it." She says to Avery.
Julia watches as Avery picks up a hair brush that's she assumes belongs to Aideen and begins to chant in a language Julia doesn't understand. Fear and sadness plague her heart, and even in this moment she contemplates not doing this. But, in the end, she knows where she's needed, with her family. As tears pour down her face with each sob she lets escape her lips, Avery is one step closer to completing the linking spell. All of a sudden, Avery stops chanting, and with a tear rolling down her cheeks, she looks up at Julia.
"It's done."
The next moments went by in what seemed like slow motion. Without hesitation or tears, Julia plunged the stake into her heart. Letting out a shriek of pain, she fell to the ground, choking on the blood that began to pour out of her mouth. Avery ran to her side and held her while little by little, Julia felt herself ease in and out of consciousness. Her vision begins to blur, and she feels her body begin to go limp and numb. With one last breath, one last word as a werewolf, Julia speaks.
"This was epic."
