To (Y/N), plants and rain were the only things that could bring her peace. She could feel relaxed in the presence of either of those things. Maybe that is why she felt blessed when she found out that her quirk was to produce rain. She felt one with herself — she could create the very thing she loved.

Despite people being afraid of the rain and associating it with gloominess, she thought the opposite. Rain symbolized peace, harmony, and love for her.

Often, she found herself wondering what her parents' quirks might have been and how it contributed to hers but she never found out.

And she doesn't think she ever will.

She was an orphan; an elderly couple who took her in said that they found her lying on the side of the road inside of a basket. Whoever her parents were had left a note that simply read, "We're sorry."

It pained her to think about her parents and she didn't know whether it was because she didn't know them or because she didn't want to. Thinking about her parents would make her want to change or open up all the possibilities about how her life could have been different, but she didn't want that. She was content with her life as it was now.

She stayed at home with the elderly couple who treated her like she was their own. She didn't go to elementary and middle school unlike other children; she had a tutor. This helped her learn things that were above her grade level but she didn't mind; she loved to learn new things.

On the weekends and after her tutoring sessions were over, she would open her plant shop.

That was the one place where she found the most peace and even though some criticized her civilian lifestyle, she wouldn't give it up for anything.

She loved being here.

As she thought of all the reasons that she loved her life, the bell chimed.

Ah, a new customer, she thought, I wonder what kind of person they are and what kind of plants they love.

A bonus part about her job was that she got to meet all kinds of people. Normally, she was introverted and despised the idea of meeting people, but those who came to her shop seemed to be beautiful souls.

They also felt the same kind of peace that she felt whenever she was near flowers or any kinds of plants.

This made her happy. After all, it is the little things in life that count the most.

She strained her neck a little so that she could see who entered her shop. It was a boy about her age with ash-blonde hair. He seemed to be in a sour mood, judging by the way his face was contorted in a vicious snarl. His ruby red eyes held a lot of anger and frustration in them, making her wonder what happened to him.

He looks like he wants to murder anybody that crosses his path, she thought and contemplated whether she should hide or not.

Hiding seemed like a good idea but he already looked agitated enough and she didn't want to contribute to more stress.

"Hey," he muttered when he saw her, his voice deep and hoarse, "You own this shop, right?"

"That's correct."

"What the fuck am I supposed to do in here?"

She was confused; he was the one who walked in and now he was asking her what to do in here.

Why did you come in here if you did not know, a part of her wanted to ask but she feared that it would be rude to do so.

"Maybe browse around, look at the different plants, and maybe buy one?" She replied, her voice laced with uncertainty.

"Why the fuck would I do that?" The boy asked as if he did not understand the concept of a shop, which baffled her.

"Because you walked in?"

"Who buys plants anyway? This is so stupid."

"Why did you come in when the sign literally says Fantasy Garden?" She questioned, fighting the urge to kick him out.

While she was annoyed, she was also intrigued. (Y/N) had never seen somebody with a personality like this walk into her shop and she wanted to hold a conversation with him a bit longer.

"Why are you smiling like that, shitty face?!" He yelled at her, pulling her out of her thoughts.

"Nothing. Anyway, you're not obligated to buy anything. You can just browse," she replied, offering an alternative to what she thought he was bitter about.

"That's more like it," he smirked, proving her theory, "Anything for stress relief? Don't look at me like that, dumbass. I'll blow you to pieces."

She couldn't help but giggle internally. He had some issues but he had a hard time accepting it, which is why he acted like that.

"Everyone feels calm because of different things so there isn't just one plant or flower that I can recommed to you. Just look around and try," she advised.

"Which ones do you like?" He asked after a while, "You seem like a pretty peaceful person."

"I like everything in here so it'd be pointless to ask me," (Y/N) giggled and felt him get more visibly stressed, "How about this? Since you're stressed, we can try to find the root of that problem. How about you talk to me? I heard that it works a lot better than bottling up your feelings."

I doubt it will work but it's worth a try, (Y/N) thought, He doesn't seem like a bad person and there's some sort of sadness hidden deep in his eyes. I want to get to know him more.

"Like hell I will," he replied just like (Y/N) assumed he would, "You know what, I'm just going to buy a plant that won't die and get out of here."

She silently packed a pot of cacti inside a box and rang him up at the register. After he paid, she replied, "Have a good day!"

He looked back one last time and threw her a peace sign just as the bell chimed again — this time, revealing a green haired boy.

It seemed that he recognized the blonde because he greeted with what seemed to be nervous anxiety. "H-hello kacchan, I didn't see you there."

"Out of my way, deku," the said "kacchan" replied and walked out.

The green haired boy exhaled and gave a sigh of relief — an action that (Y/N) couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at.

"Hello," the boy greeted her timidly in contrast to the loud boy from before, "Can I maybe have some aloe vera plants?"

"Of course," she replied, "How many do you want and would you like them in a pot or just by themselves?"

"Is growing my own aloe vera a good idea?" He muttered under his breath and (Y/N) noticed the scratches on his face along with the burn on the shoulder of his school uniform.

The school uniform seemed to be the same as the guy from before. This meant that they both went to the same school and judging by the way that the green haired boy in front of her greeted kacchan, they weren't friends.

In her head, she painted this kacchan figure as a tyrant who was bullying the other people in his school and her view of him lessened.

"It's a great idea," she replied, "Aloe Vera is very beneficial and in helps in treating things like burns. It also has great effects on skin. On top of that, it is very low-maintenance. You just need to place it in bright, indirect sunlight and water it every three weeks."

"I'll have one in a pot then," he replied and she rang him up at the register.

"Have a good day!" She said after he finished paying, to which he replied, "Thanks, you too!"

Hello my beautiful children. Shhh, I don't care that you have mothers, you are now my children. Anyway, this was the first chapter. I hope you liked it and that it wasn't moving too slow. Anyway, I'm trying to keep like a serene mood throughout the whole fan fiction with my choice of words and I hope that it's working.
