"Don't be ridiculous Mr.Manggahasa his my husband."

"Y-you're married?" he said downtrodden.
"Yes we've been happily married for a year now, right honey?" she said while flashing a bright smile at me.
"Y-yeah, though she sometimes want to keep our marriage a secret to anyone." I blink at Mr.Manggahasa who seems to be in extreme shock.
"Jeez, honey you're such a kidder, anyway it's nice to see you Mr.Manggahasa but we have to go home now, to our house that we share."
(She doesn't really need to point the obvious out...)
As we enter the car the poor guy seems to be frozen from the spot we left him his color fading as if his drifting into nothingness.
When we exit the parking lot and entered highway.
"S-sorry about that Mina, that guy has been bothering me for months he keeps on asking me for a date, I'm almost run out of excuses to reject him."
"It's okay, I'm just glad I got to help you with that."
"Yeah, no kidding, I'm so glad you got in on the spot I really appreciate it."
(My heart almost jump out of my mouth when she suddenly clings in to me and said I'm his husband,)
"But are you sure that's okay?"
"Hmn? What do you mean?"
"I mean he might spread you having a husband in your office."
"Oh, I don't mind, In fact that'll be great, no more unwanted attention for me, and I can finally focus on my work,"
"That's good news then." (she doesn't mind huh?)
Afterwards...
"We're back..." greeted Tegemi while she opens the main door for me.
"Finally home..." I said putting all the shopping bag in the kitchen counter.
"God that was heavy..."
"I told you not to carry it all at ones." Said Tegemi puffing her cheeks.
"Ehehehe..."
"Anyway thank you so much, you did really well."
"It's my pleasure."
(I'm so happy that I was able to help her out in more way than one today.)
"Well, I'll be at my room, just call me if you need me,"
As I turn to leave...
My vision suddenly starts swimming, and I feel like I'm about to faint.
"Mina, are you alright?"
"Huh? Oh! No worries I suddenly just felt light headed that's all."
"Huh? Will you be alright?"
"Yes, no worries."
Tegemi runs towards me, worried.
"You don't look okay, here let me help you."
She lifts up my arms wraps around her shoulder as she held up my waist
My heart was screaming inside.
"T-Tegemi I told you I'm alright..."
"Be a good boy and cooperate let's just go upstairs."
"Ah, but..."
(She's so close!)
When we enter my room, she helps me sit on my bed takes the thermometer out of her purse and take my temperature.
"Did you have a fever when we left for shopping?!"
"I might have..." (come to think of it I felt a bit dizzy when I woke up.)
"You might have?! Jeez, Mina you should have told me that!" she said with narrowed brow.
"Come to think of it, when I cling to you, you're a bit hot, I thought it's just your perverted temperature but it's fever after all."
(Perverted temperature?) "Hey, come on now..." I smiled awkwardly.
"And your face is bright red." She said while peering close into my face.
(That's because you're so close to me Tegemi.)
"You should lie down for a bit."
She hold my shoulders down and leads me to lie on my bed.
"There, wait here while I get some warm towel and meds for your fever."
"T-thanks, honey..." I said thinking about the joke she played in to that manggahasa guy.
She stops , stare and smiles at me replying.
"Of course, it's the wife's responsibility to take care of their husband." Then slowly closes my door.
(it would be really nice if she was actually my wife...)
My heart is still racing.
And she looks at me with a worried expression. I should get better soon, i don't want to bother Tegemi with this petty fever.
A few minutes later.
"Hey, Mina wake up, you should eat something first before going to sleep."
"T-Tegemi?" (I must have dozed off.)
My stomach then grumbles at that moment.
"Hehe...see told you."
"Before taking this medicine you should have something in your stomach first."
"That's why I made you this porridge." She said while presenting me a chicken porridge on a tray.
"T-thanks, you shouldn't have bother though."
"It's alright, don't worry about it."
"After helping me a lot today, it's the least I could do." She continued.
"Then, I really appreciate it."
She puts the tray in the table next to my bed scoop a spoon full and...
"Now, say ahh..."
(H-huh? She's going to feed me?!)
"Say, ahh, Mina."
"Huh o-okay..."
I flinched when the porridge landed to my tongue, I wish I could say it taste great it taste salty as salty as any dota player who lost a match.
And it even had a lot of flavor in there mix in, it looks like a normal chicken porridge when you look at it, but the taste is so horrendous my tongue is failing to comprehend the horrible taste.
"How does it taste?" she said timidly waiting for my reply.
(She's a perfect woman in all aspect well except for this, she doesn't know how to cook...)
"I-it taste...okay?"
As if expecting the unpainted face I'm making she took a spoon full and taste it herself.
She almost gag covered her mouth and hurried out of my room.
(She did made this for me...it'll be a waste if she throw this away, well she tasted it I'm sure she's gonna throw it...well to hell with it,)
When she returns...
"I'm sorry about that, Mina you see...w-what are you doing?!" she said with a horrified expression while looking at me chowing down the porridge she made.
"Hmn?"
"D-don't eat that?!"
Before she can nab it from me I chug it all down my throat swallowed it with all my might.
"Y-you ate all of it?!"
"Well, you made it for me...." (great Odins name I think I'm gonna die...)
Come to think of it I never see her cook, Rei seems to do all the cooking in this house.
When Tegemi sees me like that, she suddenly becomes dejected.
"You're an idiot aren't you..."
"I thought I tried cooking for you but I failed..." she said curling down into a ball of despair.
"I failed as a wife!!"
"Huh? Eh??" (failed as wife, in what standards? Cooking?)
"It's official I'm not really good at cooking..."
"Ah..No!"
"It's alright, you don't need to lie, I tasted it you know and it's the horrendous thing I've ever tasted in my life, and you ate all of it.!"
"Well yeah, you made it for me, I don't want to waste it."
She did her best because she wanted to cook for me.
That kindness alone is enough for me.
"It's something else I had to admit but it's not that bad." (my stomach accepted it..)
"R-Really?"
(She's really cute when she acts like this, her mature older sister façade disappears and the child inside her seems to take over.)
"Thank you for that, meal."
"Thank you Tegemi, I feel a bit better now.( no kidding after that hellish taste my body is so busy processing that food in my body it kinda forgot I got a fever.)
Just then, Tegemi's face goes a little red, and she smile with embarrassment.
"Jeez, Mina." she mumbles.
"Thank you, Mina."
"Shouldn't I be the one saying that?"
"I just wanted to say that." She replied.
"Really?"
"Yes."
I don't really know what she meant, but her expression becomes much brighter than before.
(I wonder if she's feeling a bit better...)
Just then, she giggled while saying.
"You, really surprised me sometimes Mina."
"Hm? What do you mean?"
"You're kind and thoughtful, it's like you're a little brother."
(this is a new kind of zone, the little brother zone...worse than friend zone.)
"Ah...ahahaha a little brother?"
"Yeah, ehehehehe."
Sitting on my bed I stare at her.
(Why am I so embarrassed?)
I turn my eyes away, as she laughs gently.
"You should rest for now, you might say you're okay now, but still drink the med I gave you."
"Okay, thank you."
(Little brother zone huh?)
After that I went to lie down on my bed.
Her words running through my head.
(It means she doesn't see me as a man, she sees me like a little brother...)
(Why does it bother me, more than it should?)
