Chapter 2 - A new Landlord?!

(What should I do?)

While I panic, Tegemi stares at the computer screen.

"The power's off..."

"Is...is the computer alright?"

When she sees me in panic, Tegemi laughs softly.

"Eheheh, Mina, you don't need to worry so much."

"It's alright."

"Even though you killed my laptop , I won't call the police."

"Killed?!"

"Just kidding."

"Ehehehe...." I let out a nervous laugh.

(Why is she so calm? Our hour's works just disappear in an instant, how can she be so calm?)

Then the lights turned on and the power seems to be back,

Tegemi plugs the laptop back in and gently press the power button.

"There, that's better."

"W-what about our work?!"

"Oh that?" she opened the office excel up push some buttons and in an instant the blank presentation turns back to the files of our work.

"There, it's simple as that."

"How did you do that?"

"You're not really familiar with computers aren't you?"

"W-well, y-yeah..." I embarrassingly admit.

"Office applications like this have a restore button so all you have to do is choose your work from recent hours then it's good to go." She explains.

"That's good to hear."

"Hehehe, don't worry I'll teach you how to use the laptop properly."

When I look at her kind smile, I feel relieved.

(She did it so quickly.)

(If I don't get familiar how to use a computer soon I'll just be a burden to her...)

Then, as if Tegemi could tell what I was thinking.

"Mina."

"Huh?"

"It's alright. You don't need to worry so much."

"That should be enough for today."

"I'm counting on you from now on, Mina."

"Y-yes ma'am!"

"I'll do my best!"

"Thank you!"

(She's counting on me, I have to give it my all.)

She nods happily.

"I'll tell you if i have anything else I'd like you to help me with."

"Thank you for your help today."

"I'll head back to the living room, just call me when you need me."

"Okay, see you."

I leave Tegemi's room.

I was thinking how much I was getting used to living here in the Famille'

(Helping out Tegemi I'm a bit unsure but...)

(I feel like it'll be lots of fun.)
