vera and cat are sitting in the garrison already drunk slurring their words "so what happened on that date yesterday" cat says drinking her pint, "well.."

vera and tom were laying in the middle of an open field, resting on a picnic cloth, his motorcycle resting on the ground, her head on his chest while he strokes her hair listening to 'the way you look tonight'
he feels a tear fall on to his chest "vera darling what wrong" she sits up as he follows in her action, he frowns at the sight of her light sobs "vera, I will come back vera" he cups her check softly smiling at her "but what if you don't Tommy" she looks down and lights a cigrette to calm herself "and what? be a damn fool not to hear you say you love me" she looks up and stares at one of his eyes at once, she holds the side of his face with her silk palm
"I love you vera phil-, no vera Shelby" she gives a soft smile at his stutter, "did you know"he shuffles smiling up at her like a little child "that because I am the commander of the support trench we are allowed to have a soldier sing for us" he lies down and rests his head on her lap and he clears his throat closing his eyes "i will make him sing the song you sang the first time I saw you, in the tunnels" he smirks looking up at her, she gives her signature pout and takes a drag "VERA THEIRS A COCKROACH ON YOUR HAND!" Tommy yells, vera stands up screaming and running around the grass"GET IT OFF GET IT OFFFFF" she whines, Tommy laughs walking up to her placing a firm grip on her arms "I was joking" vera scoffs filled with rage she slaps him.
he gets on his knee and looks up at her regretful and guilty face "Tommy i..." he lifts up a small velvet box "when I proposed I didn't give you a proper ring"
"Tommy it's.."her eyes says it all "it was my great mother's" he presses his lips into a thin line, he slides the ring on to her finger and kisses her holding her tight

"My lord vera, it's gorgeous" cat chokes on her own breath fluttering her eyelashes"shhhh don't jinx me, enough about me what is that all about, you and Michael eh?" she lightly pushes cat to the side "nothing he's handsome but like so is, for example, John" she shrugs "vera" cat looks down softly speaking to her "don't mess this up" she looks at her and vera looks back "why should i" she plays with the ring " my dream came true" she squeals hugging cat, a man in a uniform walks up to cat
"hello" he says in a deep husky voice straightening his uniform completely taken by cat "i'm jack, Jack Parkson"
"would you like a drink" he says as their two blue eyes collide "sure" she smirks her rose-red lips, vera smirks, a waiter walks to vera and says "a phone call for you miss Philips" vera stands up and picks up the phone "hell-""verraaa I'm coming to visit you and cat ill bring sam sadly but I will see you ok? ok good" Lilly says not giving vera a chance to reply "she smiles "alright lovee see you then" "um actually I'm here now that's why I called can you pick us up we are at the train station" she says "ugh classic Lilly, alright i'll bring tom's brother since he's will be headed there, his name is Finn a porcelain kid blonde hair rosy cheeks and short alright" she chuckles the sentence "alright" Lilly says "ill be here byeee"
vera walks to the private room to see all of the Shelby boys plus Michael and Isiah "Finn do me a favor" she whines pouting her lips leaning her hand out earning smirks from the boys to themselves "um you can tell me ill do it" tom smiles smiling, kind of embarrassed his fianceé asked flirtatiously for a favour from his little brother "but"
"no vera ill do it" "ok can you pick up Lilly and sam from the station" she crosses her arms knowing his hatred for sam "a-alright" all of the men look down knowing who Sam is and what he did in front of their Tommy, she giggles and kisses his cheek making him forget his anger, he walks off out of the bar, vera sees cat laughing with Jack, she heads to them "well hello hello hello, who's this Cataline" vera takes a drag from her cigarette leaning on the counter, Jack could not deny that vera was breathtaking .. more than cat but he loved Cataline's features and her soul.
"you already know" cat smiles rolling her eyes "mmmmmm" vera looks at jack in the eye making his heart flutter a little, her voice in a deep seductive tone making cat a little annoyed"so what are you planning on making my dearest love"she rests her arms on cat's shoulder resting her head one hers making cat smile at her actions "i can't say without being to forward" he smiles resting his hat on his chest, he is still in full uniform like all men in the room are "please do tell" vera pouts looking up with puppy eyes "maybe my women, afterwards my wife" vera scoffs and smiles and leaves "ahhh what would we tell our children when they asked how we met, in a bar while daddy wouldn't stop annoying mommy" cat sighs as he chuckles
"that daddy wouldn't leave mommy's side until she went out with him before he left to France" he gives a sad sigh plopping down the stool next to hers pouting "alright alright" she smirks resting her head on her hand as her arm sits on the counter staring at him "great 7 o'clock" he smiles waiting for her to say her address "fine, house N.O53 Parkhill mews" she rolls her eyes playfully, they're eyes evert when they see vera standing on the stage singing
