The first-year students had received their gears, signaling the end of hazing activities, and they were also officially recognized as juniors. The official meaning of the gear was explained to them again when they received it, but word got around about the other meaning of the gear which represented the heart.
Coming down the hallway, Arthit and his friends were headed to their next class when Prem whistled and said, "someone is popular". They all turned to what he was looking at and they saw Kong, and right next to him was another first year. She was holding out her hand towards Kong and in it was her gear.
That not so good weird feeling was making itself known, and Arthit decided to leave before he had an outburst in the hallway.
"Arthit, where are going?" Toota asked
"Class" came his fast response
"I love your confidence, but you have to do something before your fiancé is stolen" Toota told him as they followed him to class.
Later that night Arthit asked Kong of his gear, wanting to know what happened earlier if he took that first-year student's gear or gave his to her.
"It's safe" Kong replied pointing to where it was. It was on a display stand on the desk in the study room right next to Arthit's gear. Relief washed over him, funny how he did not notice it there before.
"Do you know what the gear means?" Arthit asked
"Yeah" he replied, with the buzz going around campus it was hard not to know. After thinking about why Arthit was so interested in the gear he asked, "did you want me to give you my gear?"
"No" he replied fast, trying to hide the fact that he really really wanted to say yes
"You sure, you know I'll happily give it to you"
Arthit shook his head
"Ok then", Kong chuckled going back to what he was doing
The next day in class, when Arthit sat down, his friends noticed how his eyebrows were knitted together, lips narrowed and thin, and they knew he was irritated.
"What is wrong with Arthit?" Prem asked Knott who came in together with Arthit
"I bet it has something to do with 0062" Bright said
It sure did, right before he got to class, they witnessed another scene, with another student trying to give Kong their gear. Arthit yelled at them to stop slacking off and get to class and the girl ran back to class in fear as if the devil was chasing her.
After Knott explained to them what happened, Toota told Arthit he was jealous
"I'm not jealous" Arthit protested
"Of course you are, anyone would be in that situation" Toota said "you just need to do something so others will stop approaching your fiancé."
"Like what" he asked, he really needed to do something so people will stop hovering around Kong.
"How about you tell him honestly how you really feel" Knott suggested
"Be realistic Knott, we need something that Arthit can actually do"
"You can take him out on a date"
"You should give him your gear"
"Or you get him to give you his gear"
His friends said, giving him various options on what to do
"Okay" Arthit responded taking them into consideration
"Why would you want his gear" Knott asked
"What do you mean" Arthit inquired
"Well if you are going to annual the engagement per the contract when you graduate, then there is no point in having his gear or doing any of this" he reasoned
"Oh" then he thought about it 'stupid contract' he muttered, what possessed me to write the contract in the first place
When the bell rang, signaling lunch time, Bright jumped up and screamed "lunch, time for food" and Prem hit his head saying how food was the only thing he thought about
"It's lunch time Arthit, go have lunch with Kong and try to be romantic" Toota said as he pushed Arthit out of the classroom.
"I would pay to see that" Bright said after Arthit left the classroom
"You think Arthit can be romantic" Prem asked
"Not sure, he can't even express his love properly" Knott said
"You never know, he might do it" Toota replied
"10 bucks says he doesn't" Prem said
"20 bucks says he does" Toota countered
"It's on" Prem said
"I'm with Prem on this, Arthit does not know how to be romantic" Bright said
"Maybe because he has not had the opportunity to" Knott said
"Why don't we go and find out" Toota said
After Arthit left his class, he went and got Kong from his class, took him to one of the sitting areas outside. He proceeded to get Kong's favorite meal and drink and set it up in front of him, gave him the spoon and told him to eat.
Kong was a little perplexed "you're acting strange P'Arthit" he said, "not that I mind, but is something wrong"
"No" Arthit replied
"Is it because of this morning" Kong asked
"No its not, just shut up and eat." When Kong still wasn't eating, Arthit grabbed the spoon and proceeded to feeding Kong. "Ahh" he said, motioning for Kong to open his mouth, Kong did and Arthit fed him each bite of his meal.
"Are you mad at me?"
"If I was I wouldn't be doing this, just being nice." Arthit couldn't say he was trying to be romantic, so nice was the next best thing
After asserting that nothing was wrong, Kong happily ate his meal as Arthit fed him "you should do this often"
"Hell no, one time only"
"Please Oon"
"No"
Arthit was still in the midst of feeding Kong when Knott, Prem, Bright, and Toota joined them. Looking at both of them, Bright asked "Kongpob are you sick?"
"No" he responded
"Then why is Arthit feeding you" Kong did not say anything while Arthit blushed
"Don't tell me" Prem said and they started snickering
"What" Kong asked, and Knott explain the reason behind Arthit's actions
With a clear understanding of the situation, Kong turned to Arthit and held both his hands in his, "P' I'm sorry about this morning, but you really have nothing to worry about" he said earnestly. "Besides, my heart already belongs to someone"
"Who" he asked
"You babe" Kong said as he Kissed Arthit's cheek. With that Arthit's face lit up in a bright smile even though he tried very hard to conceal the joy he was feeling. Then Kong left to head over to his next class.
"Feel better" Knott ask Arthit, and Arthit only nodded his head, he was still in an elated state.
"Arthit, I said be romantic, not baby him" Toota said, "but that was also good" and his friends applauded him for his efforts
"Our Arthit is growing up" Bright said
"Right" he scoffed, "now about that bet" Arthit asked and they all tensed up
"How did you know" Bright asked
"I have my ways, now hand it over"
They each gave him the money "thanks guys" he smiled at them "would use this to take Kong out for a date" he said walking away
"What the, that's not fair" they protested
For the rest of the week, the first-year students spent the time participating in the freshy contest. Friday came by and it was the last day of the event, and by the end of it all, the engineering department won the freshy games with Kong winning both the popularity and moon contest.
At the end of the event Bright came up to the stage and announced, "to finalize this night, a special performance from the head hazer, dedicated to that special someone".
The lights came on, and on stage stood Arthit dressed in a well-fitted navy-blue suit, no tie, and the last two buttons of his shirt was left unbutton. It made him look very handsome, and when he smiled, it was a little bit magical.
With a sharp intake of air he stated, "this song is for the one who I know is my perfect match, the one who is always there to pick me up when I am down, and always knows how to put a smile on my face."

At the end of the song the crowd erupted into cheers as everyone clapped and whooped to Arthit's performance. When the clapping ceased, one of the judges asked, "so, who was the song for?"
Arthit blushed a little as he shyly answered, "To the winner of the moon contest" and Kongpob was pushed onto the stage next to Arthit by his friends who were standing with him
"So that means- "
"He is taken" Arthit responded as he intertwined his fingers with Kong as he held his hand and the crowd erupted in another set of cheers, the loudest coming from Arthit's friends who where at the other end of the stage.
As everyone continued to cheer and whoop at the happy couple, Arthit pulled Kong away from the stage receiving a lot of congratulatory comments from their friends
Back at home,
"Arthit I'm happy you did that" Kong said, he had pulled Arthit onto the couch with him and Arthit was currently straddling him
"I only did that so no one will bother you" came his reply
"Is that so, still I'm happy" then Kong asked again, "so was that the only reason"
"Is there supposed to be another reason"
Kong leaned closer to Arthit, "tell me" he said as he kissed and nibbled down Arthit's neck, causing him to moan. Arthit pulled back to look at him, a smirk playing on his face "I thought that was obvious"
"I still want you to tell me Oon"
"Because you are special to me and I don't want to lose you" Arthit told him, and Kong smiled, the one that always made Arthit melt.
As they faced each other, "I love you" Kong whispered staring into Arthit's blue eyes and smiled, he grabbed Arthit's left hand and placed the open palm on his heart and held it there, where Arthit could feel how fast and hard his heart was beating.
Staring back at Kong, all Arthit could feel was the love, protection, happiness, safety, and respect Kong had for him and he wasted no time in replying "I love you too" as he leaned in and kissed his soulmate.
