Stars used to be bright on krypton. Shooting stars were regular and watching the blue sky change to inky black was peaceful. Clouds rarely blocked the beauty of the night sky and true love was always found under the stars.
Now the sky is cloudy with smoke. Gun shots fill the air with cries coming from every direction. The stars aren't seen anymore and the air is toxic. Running and hiding is the only way to survive. But we all know we will die sometime soon on krypton and we except it.
Mother is dead, Father is dead. I run now, alone with the few survivors left. The daxamite soldiers invade our homes and kill our kids, they separate mothers and daughters and torture fathers and sons. In the end they all end up dead.
I want to give up now but I am the only Zor-el left. Nights spent in hiding are sleepless, anxiety has taken over most of my mind and I don't even know who am anymore. I chant my name Kara, Kara, Kara every night to remember and not give up.
My group has gotten a hold of suicide pills. They say our deaths are inevitable and they would rather take a pill than get shot. I hold the pill in my hand and hear the gun shots firing outside, Kara Zor-El the last Zor-El. I must survive. But I don't want to, I want to give up. I hold life and death in my hands.
