I had just woke up and rolled over I looked at my phone and it was almost 12 in the afternoon so I got up and went straight to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth washed my face and got in the shower. When I got out the shower I put on some light washed high waisted ripped jeans and a black sleeveless crop top so that you could see my tattoo. I then slicked my hair into a high bun and went into the living room I sat down and went on my phone I was scrolling threw my Instagram page and I seen Ace on there so I looked at his account and he had 15k followers and he was only following 200 people. I then seen his recent post

There were plenty of females commenting on his photo they were all clearly attention seekers I'm not even gonna front Ace is hella fine but I know better not to fall for a Fuck Nigga like him. I was knocked outta my thoughts when my phone started ringing
'Hello'
'Hey, I'm gonna drop Mariah to you in about 15' she said
'Okay see ya'
I then heard a knock on the door. When I got to the door I looked out the peep hole and it was Ace
"How do you know witch floor and door number I lived at?" I asked him as I opened the door a bit
"Carly, now is you gonna let me in?" He questioned
"For?" I asked back
"Business" he replied
I opened the door slowly and let him in. I then sat down on the couch.
"Speak" I said as I looked at him
"Well, I wanted to know if you could take extra hours just so you can get ya college fees faster and so you don't half to be a dancer for that long" he said as he sat next to me
I scooted over further away from him
"I have a child, I have to have time for her as well she's already wondering why I'm not home at night so no I can't take the extra hours" I replied
"Well, speaking of your child where is she" he asked me as he looked around
"Out" I mumbled
"Oh?" He said as he eyed my tattoo down

"That's her now" I said as I stood up and walked to the door
I opened it and Mariah hugged my legs tight
"Mommy I missed you so much" she said as she squeezed my legs I picked her up and kissed her cheek
"I missed you to baby, hey" I said as I side hugged Carly
"Hey well I got a long night tonight so ima go home and get some rest?" Carly said as she hugged me back
I nodded and looked at her she kept looking at Mariah and then Ace.
"Well later" I said as I closed the door
Carly's POV
I got my hair braided early today by Joyce and I seen Ace at her shop it turns out Joyce's son is Ace and I kinda seen the resemblance at the hair store when Mariah and I were there they were actually playing he's actually pretty good with kids.
Kamari's POV
"Oh it's you again" Mariah said as she jumped outta my arms and walked over to Ace
"Ya it's me, and it's you again" he said as he smiled at her
"Why are you at my house?" Mariah asked as she put her hand on her hip
"Because I'm talking to ya mommy" he replied
"Oh well bye" she said as she ran into her room
"When did you see her?" I questioned
"Today at my moms hair salon she was with Carly" he replied
"Wait what hair salon" I asked confused
"Joyce's hair salon" he replied in a duh tone
"Joyce is your mom?" I asked in a surprised tone
He nodded. So your telling me she thinks Mariah looks like Ace... no!
"Oh" I replied dryly
I kept staring at him trying to see the resemblance with him and Mariah I kinda see it even though I don't want to.
Ace's POV
"Well I gotta go" I said as I stood up and walked to the door
"Later" she said as she followed me
"Gimme ya number" I said to her as I looked down at her and licked my lips
"No thank you" she said as she looked away
"Just for business I promise" I said as I stepped a little closer to her
"Fine" she replied as she rolled her eyes
I handed her my phone and she put her name as Kamari😻
"You ain't even all that cute" I said as I smirked at her
"Well if I'm a threat to ya girlfriend then clearly I am" she said as she rolled her eyes and tried to push me out the door
"Who's my girlfriend?" I asked confused
"Cupcake" she said causing me to chuckle
"Girlfriend ya right she'll never ever be able to claim that tittle" I said as I smirked at Kamari "But you could" I said as I winked at her and gripped her waist
"Try again" she said as she pushed me out and slammed the door
I just laughed. The real reason I came over here is for answers but I'm nervous to scared to ask her. She'll probably hate me for what I did I new it was gonna happen and I still left. She can't know. At least not now
Kamari's POV
"Mariah come on we're going to the mall" I said as I walked into her room
She stood up and helped me pick out a outfit for her. After we picked out the outfit she put it on and we then headed out of our apartment and to the elevator. When we got out of the building I snapped a quick photo of her and posted it.

We then started walking to the mall sense it wasn't that far. When we got there the first store I went to was was H&M I bought lots of clothes from there for Mariah. I also went to justice Urban Kids and children's place. I didn't really shop for myself except buy myself 2 pair of shoes I prefer to order my clothes off of Fashion nova. The last store I went into was Tommy Hilfiger and I bought me and Mariah matching jogging suits.

We were in the food court eating Chinese food sense Mariah was hungry. When we were done eating I threw the left overs in the trash because we were going to the movies after this and you aren't aloud to bring outside food in there. We were just leaving the mall so I called my uber and when it got here we both got in luckily he had a booster seat for Mariah.
"Mommy what movie we go see?" Mariah asked me as she looked at me
"There are two movies. You can pick witch one you wanna watch Moana or Sing" I asked as I showed her the movie covers
"That one" she said as she pointed to Moana
I nodded and we then pulled up to the movie theatres. When I got out the uber I took Mariah out and walked inside i bought one adult ticket but I didn't half to pay for Mariah because she's under the age of three.
"2 caramel popcorns please one small one medium and 2 blueberry slushy's" I said to the lady at the front counter
"Mama I want blue and green" she said as she pointed to the slushy machines
"Okay then one blueberry and lime and the other just blueberry" I said as I handed her the cash
She just nodded we were waiting for our things and when we got it of course Mariah had to make things complicated
"Mommy I want the bigger one" she said as she pointed to my bag of caramel popcorn
"Baby this is yours" I said as I handed her the little one
"But mommy" she said as she pouted
I just rolled my eyes and picked her up we'll carry everything.

The movie had just ended and I called a taxi for us to get home. After it dropped us home I went straight up to my apartment and opened the door Mariah watched the whole movie surprisingly but she was now sleeping. I changed her clothes into night clothes and put her straight in her bed. I then changed my clothes into night clothes and went to bed.
