Book: Scream And Shout, Jurassic World
Chapter 5: No Entry
Word Count: 1555

"Hey. There. I'm Jimmy Fallon. Welcome aboard the GyroSphere, an amazing machine made possible by science. Your safety is our main concern. Which is why you're behind our invisible barrier system, which protects you from things like Dilophosaurus venom." Eli looked looked down at the small screen that had Jimmy Fallen on it. "One drop of this can paralyze you, so watch out. Is this real? It is?"

Eli snickered as he watched the man fall down. He, Zach and Gray had been driving around the Gyrosphere valley but hadn't had much luck finding any dinosaurs. Zach still had his arm around Eli's shoulders and the other driving the Gyrosphere.

"And for added protection, each vehicle is surrounded by aluminium oxynitride glass. So tough, it can stop a. 50-caliber bullet. The Gyroscopic technology will keep you upright at all times..."

"Where are they?" Gray groaned, looking around the area.

They drove forward and over a hill and Eli froze, sitting up more when they had entered a field that contained more then one species of dinosaur. They were everywhere, walking around, some lying down and sleeping.

"Wow." Eli gushed amazed.

They hadn't even be out for five minutes before an automated voice spoke up from the small screen, "due to technical difficulties all our exhibits are now closed. Please disembark all rides and return to the resort."

Eli frowned sadly. He didn't want to leave. He wanted to stay and see more. This was one of the most amazing experiences he ever had and he didn't want it to end.

Zach saw the sad looks on both his brother and Eli's face and wanted to make them happy so he said, "come on, we can stay out a couple more minutes."

"But they said it was closed." Gray questioned confused.

"Aunt Claire gave us special wristbands, right? We're VIP, dude. Come on. It'll be fun." Zach encouraged them.

Eli was never one to break the rules and he looked at him hesitantly. "I don't think that's a good idea..."

"Trust me, Eli." Zach smiled at him, squeezing his shoulder. "We'll be fine." He sped up the Gyrospere and the Dinosaurs ran alone side them. Eli soon forget his worries as he watched them and got distracted, not thinking staying out a little longer would be that bad.

Zach's phone started ringing but he didn't have any free hands, instead of taking his arm away from Eli's shoulder he said, "here, take the stick."

And Eli smiled excitedly, grabbing the driving stick and continuing to drive through the field as Zach answered his phone. "Hey, Claire... I can't really hear you. We're in the hamster ball."

"Gyrosphere." Eli corrected.

"Hello?" Zach brought his phone from his ear and looked at the screen, shrugging before hanging up and putting his phone back in his pocket. "I couldn't hear her. Bad reception."

"Hope it wasn't important." Eli commented.

They come up to a fence that had an opening and it definitely got Zach's attention. "What happened here?" He mumbled, looking down the track. "Dude. Off-road."

"But they told us to go back." Gray stated nervously.

"Yeah, this does not look like a good idea." Eli agreed with with younger boy, stopping the Gyrosphere so it was looking into the off road part that looked more scary by the second.

"I'm just worried you're not getting the full Jurassic World experience." Zach leaned his hand down so it covered Eli's and smirked, pushing both their hands forward so the Gyrosphere moved down the track. Eli blushed, letting Zach control the stick by moving his hand.

The further they got, the more Eli was regretting that decision. The area was dark and trees were so tall they blocked out the light, vines hung low and it did not look like a place they were supposed to drive in.

Gray was visibly freaking out, "No, no. Bad idea, bad idea."

"Great idea." Zach exclaimed, looking more interested then scared at the area they were in.

"No! We're gonna get arrested. They'll shave our heads, and we're gonna have to make root beer in the toilet." Gray rambled.

Eli widened his eyes at the statement. "What are you talking about?"

Gray stayed quiet and Zach rolled his eyes, making the Gyrosphere stop when they reached some Ankylosaurus. "There. You see? I told you. You're welcome. Up close and personal with four dinosauruses."

"Ankylosaurus. We shouldn't be here. And there's five dinosaurs." Gray mumbled, arms crossed.

Eli looked forward, counting the dinosaurs and only seeing four, Zach seeing the same and said, "aren't you supposed to be a genius or something? Look. One, two, three, four."

Gray lifted a shaky finger, pointing up, "five."

Eli's eyes focused and that's when he saw the reflection of sharp teeth. He gulped, slowly turning around when a low growling was heard. A large dinosaur, one that Eli didn't recognised was standing over them, teeth bared and it roared loudly.

"Go, go, go!"

The dinosaur moved forward, kicking the Gyrosphere and making it spin in circles at a fast speed. Eli screamed, grabbing onto Zach's shirt to try and steady himself. "Shit!"

They were being knocked around by the ankylosaurus's as they ran and Gray was next to start screaming loudly. "Hold it together, man!" Zach yelled. The Gyroshere finally came to a stop and Eli's head was pounding and he felt sick but stopped himself from throwing up.

"Drive! Drive! Go!"

Eli moved the stick forward but an ankylosaurus swung its tail and hit them, sending them flying away and hitting a tree harshly, the Gyrosphere flipping upside down. He tried to move them but the Gyrosphere was stuck. He looked to the other two, all of them hanging upside down and he felt his heart beating wildly with fear. He was so scared. He looked to the side, seeing the unknown dinosaur killing one of the ankylosaurus's.

"We're safe in here, right?" Gray whispered, his shaggy hair free from his eyes.

Zach gulped, "yeah. We're totally safe."

The worst thing in that moment could have happened. Zach's phone had fallen out of his pocket and was lying on the roof of the Gyrosphere and it started ringing, making a loud vibrating noise.

Zach and Eli stretched their arms out, trying to grab the phone but it was just out of reach. "Zach. Eli." Gray whispered.

"I almost got it." Zach groaned, fingers just scratching the phone.

"Look."

"What?" Eli looked up from the phone and was met by the dinosaur leaned down and looking right at them. It took everything in him not to scream.

It leaned back up and used it claws to flip them back over, one of its claws piecing the Gyrosphere. Eli closed his eyes as glass came pouring down and the dinosaur opened its mouth, leaning down and biting into the Gyrosphere, picking them up easily.

The three boys screamed loudly as the dinosaur started to smash them back into the ground, up and down, up and down. Zach was quick to reach over and undo their seat belts so they fell out.

"Go! Go!" He yelled, pushing them and they moved from the Gyrosphere just as it broke and ran as fast as they could.

Eli could hear the footsteps pounding loudly behind them and he knew it was only a matter of time before it caught up to them. They ran through the trees and came out onto an open field. His legs were burning and his face was red.

They came to a stop at a waterfall and Eli's eyes widened, turning around to see the dinosaur running towards them, ready to kill them. "No."

"We're gonna have to jump." Zach said, gripping both of their arms.

"I can't." Gray whimpered, looking over the edge in fear.

"Are you ready?" Zach pulled them forward so they were at the very edge. "One, two... Come on!"

And they jumped, just missing being eaten by the dinosaur. Eli flew through the air, feeling his stomach drop but he was soon being met by the cold water harshly. He went to swim up but Zach grabbed his arm and stopped him, pointing up to indicate the dinosaur hadn't left yet.

The familiar roar was heard and the dinosaur walked away, thinking they were dead. When Eli swam up he took a big gulp of air, feeling himself cough up some water and his throat burned.

They swam over to shore, pulling themselves up onto the mud ground. "You jumped." Zach said, looking at Gray.

Eli was still in shock as he heard them start to laugh. Eli wished he could laugh right now but he was to focused on the fact that they nearly died and had just jumped off a cliff. He wasn't taken out of his thoughts until he felt Zach wrap an arm around him and looked to the side, seeing he was being pulled into a group hug.

He let it happen and hugged them tightly.
