"Harry I don't know if we should still be going on hoilday, I mean he's really sick." I said as Harry was finishing last minute packing.
"Louis will be fine in a couple of days the warm weather will hopefully help as well. We haven't been on hoilday since we had the twins and that was nearly a year ago. He'll be fine trust me. Plus really it's just a bad cold."
"I know he'll be fine it's just we're going on a plane which the twins haven't experienced before and louis' sick which is going to make the process 10 times harder."
"Li both the boys have been looking forward to this for months plus it's only Spain it's 2 hours on a plane it will be fine." Harry said and I just nodded leaving the room to check on Niall.
"Hey bug." I said walking into his room where he was gathering the stuff he wanted to take on the plane with him and dumping them next to his rucksack.
"Daddy." He said before smiling up at me.
"You want any help?"
"Please." He said and I sat down on the floor before placing his chosen things into his rucksack.
"Is that defiantly everything you want?"
"Yeah apart from blankie but I want that tonight." Niall said and I nodded.
"That's fine love just don't forget it in the morning." I said and he nodded.
"Can I go and see loulou?" He asked me then but I shook my head. We'd been keeping the boys separate all day to avoid Niall catching the cold as the last thing we needed was both the boys sick on holiday.
"No I'm sorry love, but you don't want to be poorly when we're on hoilday." I said and he sighed.
"No I wanna go swimming and play on the beach." He said with a smile and I chuckled.
"I'm sure you do, now why don't you go and play in the play room for an hour before we get you ready for bed as we have to be up early tomorrow so it's going to be early bedtime tonight." I said and Niall nodded before running off into the playroom while I moved onto louis' room where I'd left him packing his own suitcase. However when I walked into his room he was led on his bed sniffling and coughing.
"Oh Love." I said and when he saw me he looked up and made grabby hands towards me.
"You Okay sweetheart?" I asked and he sniffled resting his head on my chest.
"Feel poorly Daddy." He croaked and i sighed sitting on his bed rubbing his back as he coughed.
"Do you want some medicine." I asked him and he nodded slowly.
"Alright come on then." I said standing up and carrying him downstairs sitting him on the kitchen unit.
"Here lou." I said holding out a spoonful of calpol which he took without fuss.
"That should help okay baby." I said and he just nodded reaching for me.
"Hang on Baby while were here I just want to check your temperature." I said getting that out the cupboard.
"Why you got that one? That one a doctor one." Louis croaked before coughing.
"I know the old one broke and they didn't have any of the same ones so we brought this one instead plus their meant to be more accurate." I explained turning it on.
"Hold still Baby." I said and he nodded as I gently placed it in his ear.
"That quick." Louis said and I nodded.
"It was another benefit of it." I said flipping it over and seeing that his temperature was only slightly above and the calpol should help with that.
"What was it Daddy?"
"99.6 so only slightly above hardly anything." I said and louis nodded before reaching for me and I happily picked him up.
"Shall we go and pack your rucksack for tomorrow now?"
"Tired though." He mumbled.
"I know I'll pack it for you you just tell me what you want." I said as I carried him up to his room placing him down on his bed.
"You choose daddy." Louis said as he cuddled with spot on his bed. I knew that as long as he had his cuddly dog with him on the plane he'd be okay as I was hoping he'd just sleep the plane ride as it was an early flight and he wasn't very well.
I chose a couple of things for him like his toy cars, his games console and a couple of books and once that was sorted I turned round and saw that Louis was snoring softly but he had dried snot around his bright red nose so I went to get a washcloth and tired to clean him up the best I could without waking him and i was successful. He was also already in pyjamas which he'd been in most the day so I carefully lifted him up and placed him under his covers before kissing his forehead and turning his nightlight on before quietly leaving the room.
When I'd left his room I could hear Niall giggling in the bathroom and when I walked in their I found Harry giving him his bath.
"Is everything ready for tomorrow?"
"Yeah apart from wash stuff, which can be packed in the morning everything's ready to go. How's lou?"
"Snotty and sniffly But He's Okay, hopefully he'll feel better with a good nights sleep."
"Yeah but he's not going to get that as we've got to be up at 3." Harry said.
"I'm hoping he'll fall straight back asleep once he's in the car."
"Yeah and then he'll get disturbed again in the airport."
"He'll be fine I'll just carry him the whole time." I said smiling at Niall who was happily playing with his bath toys.
"Having fun Ni?"
"Yeah papa why isn't lou in here?"
"He's already asleep Love." I said and Niall sighed as Harry got him out the bath.
"Go and put your pjs on love and get into bed and I'll be in in a minute to tuck you in." Harry said and Niall nodded running off with the towel wrapped around him.
I was just heading downstairs when I saw Niall poke his head out his bedroom door before running over to louis' and walking in their. Curious I walked over myself and smiled when I saw the scene.
"I thought I told you to stay away from lou." I said seeing Niall on the bed next to louis running his hands through his hair.
"But daddy." Niall whined and I shook my head.
"No come on out of here. I'll read you a story if you'd like but you need to be in your own room." I said and he sighed but nodded kissing Louis' forehead and climbing carefully off his bed.
"Why is Bedtime earlier tonight?" Niall asked as he got in his own bed and I picked up a book.
"Because we're going to Spain tomorrow and have to be up super early because are flight leaves at 7." I said and Niall nodded.
"Is it scary on a plane?"
"No love but if you do get scared papa and I will be there at all times." I reassured him and he nodded grabbing his blanket and curling into my side sliding his thumb into his mouth. I smiled at him and kissed his forehead before beginning to read his book and he was sound asleep by the end.

I woke up to the sound of harsh coughing and sighed rolling over and pressing the home button on my phone seeing it was 2:30 in the morning meaning that was probably the end of my sleep for the night since the alarm would be going off in half hour anyway.
Getting up I rubbed the sleep out of my eyes before quickly walking over to louis' room where the poor boy was sat up coughing harshly into his hands while tears fell from his eyes.
"Oh Love." I said rushing over and placing him on my lap while rubbing his back until he finished coughing.
"You Okay?" I asked and he sadly shook his head no before resting his head down on my chest.
"Do you want some more medicine?" I asked and Louis just nodded so I picked him up and carried him downstairs turning on the kitchen light before placing him down on the counter.
"You feeling any better baby?" I asked feeling his forehead and sighing as if anything he was warmer.
"No." He said and he was now badly congested as well by the sounds of things.
"Alright swallow this love." I said and he did just that before I rechecked his temperature which was higher than last night at 100.3.
"I think this stuff will be coming with us on this hoilday." I said making sure the calpol lid was screwed on tightly and also grabbing the children's nurofen and thermometer placing them in my carry on bag along with a pack of tissues and an empty water bottle so I could fill it up for the boy once we'd got through security.
"There going to think I'm a walking pharmacy going through security Lou." And that actually did get a small giggle from the boy.
"It's Alright for you, you don't have to explain it." I said chuckling as I knew liquid medicine was allowed as long as you had your reasons it just took longer to get through security.
"Right Shall we go and get ready as papa and Niall will be getting up in a minute and there Knick the bathroom otherwise." I said scooping the boy back up and heading back upstairs to get ready for a very long day.

"Daddy." I heard Louis whine from the back of the car and I sighed.
"What is it baby?"
"Wanna Cuddle." He croaked and I nodded.
"I know sweetie we're nearly at the airport." I promised him and I heard him sigh but he must have been okay with that as he didn't speak again.
"You feeling any better after that medicine?"
"A Little bit."
"Okay that's good sweetie after we're checked in and done with security I'll give you some nurofen and hopefully that will help quite a bit." I said and I just heard him sniffle before he sneezed.
"Blow your nose love." I said and I heard him shuffle around then for a tissue before he blew his nose. I'm surprised he didn't wake Harry or louis with how much sound he was making.
It was another 10 minutes before we reached the airport and id parked the car getting out and placing Louis on my hip who shivered and cuddled closer to me. It may be August but at 4:30 in the morning shorts are still pushing it.
"I know sweetie but it will be warmer in the airport." I promised as I woke Harry who smiled sadly at lou before he woke Niall while I got the suitcases out the boot and gave Louis his rucksack helping him place it on his back.
"That Okay?" I asked placing my own rucksack on my back and louis just nodded before I picked him back up as my little blonde appeared very excited even if it was the crack of dawn.
"Daddy we go on plane now?" He asked bouncing up and down and I chuckled.
"Not quite yet." I said and he pouted before I handed him his rucksack and Harry helped him put it on before Harry and I took a suitcase each and we headed for the check in desks at the airport.
When we finally found the right check in desk we made our way to the queues much to Niall's annoyance.
"Daddy I don't like queuing."
"Nobody likes queuing sweetie but it has to be done." I said as we slowly moved up.
"Have you got the passports and booking confirmation or have I?" I asked Harry as we got nearer the front.
"I have Harry said getting that stuff out his rucksack as we made our way to the check in desk we'd been called too.
"Morning." The lady said and we all smiled Niall waving happily as he stood on tip toes to see over the desk and Harry handed her the passports and booking information.
"Okay so that's 2 adults and 2 children for the 7am flight to Alicante." She checked and Harry nodded.
"Alright do you want to put the first suitcase on." She said and Harry nodded doing just that before she tied the plane info round it and it was sent off before I handed the other suitcase to Harry as I still had Louis in my arms and she repeated the same process.
"How do you want to sit as it's only 3 seats in a row and the kids need their own seats during take off and landing as there too old to sit on your lap?" She asked and I shrugged.
"Umm can we do 2 and 2 but I'd like to sit with louis so that makes Niall with harry." I requested and she nodded.
"Yep that's fine I can do it so your in the same row your just have the aisle down the middle." She said and I nodded.
"Alright so that's seats 9B to 9E and I hope you enjoy your flight." She said handing back the booking information, passports and boarding cards before we made are way towards security and I realised louis had fallen asleep on my shoulder.
"You better wake him Li he'll probably have to go through security on his own." Harry said and I nodded knowing that would probably be the case but I didn't want to wake him without asking first.
"What's security?" Niall asked as we went up the escalator.
"It's when you walk through a machine to make sure you have nothing dangerous on you and your bag also gets checked for anything dangerous." Harry explained and Niall just nodded as we reached the top and headed for security where we grabbed some trays and placed are bags down before Harry and I took off anything that might have anything that could set the alarms off like watches and belts.
"With my bag theres Children's medicine and a thermometer in their." I warned the security guard who nodded before asking me to wake Louis.
"Look he's not very well and he's hardly slept Is there any way I can just carry him through?" I asked but he shook his head.
"Sorry he needs to walk through himself." He said and I sighed before starting to wake louis as Harry and Niall went through security so they could grab our bags the other end.
"Hey lou Baby, can you wake up for daddy?" I asked softly sitting him down on a chair and he slowly opened his eyes where he instantly started to cough and cry.
"I know I know sweetie but you need to walk over to papa." I said and louis just whined.
"Come on Baby the quicker this is over the quicker you can cuddle again." I promised and he sniffled but nodded rubbing his eyes sleepily before walking over to Harry before I walked through and once I was through he instantly wrapped his arms around my legs.
"Hang on sweetie let me just get our bags and put my stuff back on and then we can have a long cuddle." I said knowing we now had a roughly 2 hour wait before boarding but it was better to be early rather than late.

"We'd been in the departure lounge for an hour when Louis stirred on my lap and I looked down at Louis as I'd been watching Niall playing with Harry in the kids area.
"Hey sweetie." I said as Louis opened his eyes although he whimpered straight away.
"What's wrong." I asked before he began coughing although this time he was also gagging.
"Alright sweetie hang on a minute."
"Harry." I called out waving him over and he soon came over.
"Keep an eye on the bags I need to take louis to the toilet." I said quickly standing up before Harry gave me an answer and quickly walked to the bathroom where I quickly locked the door and got louis in front of the toilet where he threw up almost instantly and to be honest a lot of it was mucus and snot.
"We need to get you blowing your nose Love as that's why your throwing up." I said rubbing louis' back guessing Louis had a lot of mucus on his lungs which was what was making him sick.
"Wanna go home." Louis whimpered and I sighed picking him up and cleaning his face before carrying him to the sinks and washing his hands.
"Your going to have a great time baby, you won't be poorly the whole trip." I promised and he sighed but nodded blowing his nose before I carried him back out to where harry was with Niall who was now sat on the floor colouring.
"Daddy." Niall said excitedly and I chuckled handing Louis to Harry who got spot out for the boy.
"What you up to Ni?" I asked scooping him up from the floor.
"Papa said we're going to get on the plane really soon." He said happily bouncing in my arms.
"Really."
"Yeah really." He said smiling before asking to be put back down where he ran over to the window to watch the planes while I followed him.
"There so big." He said looking at them and I nodded.
"They are."
"Can I Sit with you?" He asked but I shook my head.
"Only 3 Can Sit in a row and we've already been assigned seats and I'm sitting with lou while your sitting with papa but if you sit in the aisle seat then your kind of be next to me." I said and he nodded before asking to be picked up.
"What's wrong bug?"
"Don't know just wanted a cuddle." He said and I smiled kissing his hair as we watched the planes for a while longer until an announcement caught my attention.
"Right that's are plane bug let's go." I said walking back over to louis and Harry where Louis had fallen asleep again while clutching onto spot.
"Right we ready to go?" I asked placing Niall onto the floor who grabbed his rucksack and quickly nodded while I gently lifted louis into my arms and grabbed both his and my rucksacks before we headed for the correct gate.
"Which gate Li?" Harry asked as we started walking down the airport.
"Gate 15." I said and he nodded.
"Why's it so far." I heard Niall whine by the time we reached gate 12.
"Sorry baby but there's a lot of planes and like when I'm trying to park the car they have to find a space to park." I explained and Niall nodded but walked over to Harry to be picked up.
"Getting Tired my little bug." I heard Harry ask as he lifted Niall into his arms.
"Hmm." Niall mumbled resting his head on Harry's shoulder.
"If your tired Ni try and sleep on the plane as we're be on their for 2 hours." I said and he just nodded rubbing his eyes. I was wondering how long it will be before he lost his energy and I think it's safe to say he's officially worn out which is good bearing in mind we're getting on the plane.
"Right here's yours and louis' boarding passes and passports." Harry said handing me the stuff once we'd reached the gate and he'd placed Niall down on a bench.
"Alright let's go then." I said heading down the steps with Louis and I saw harry was behind with Niall now holding his hand.
"Morning." I said to the lady when I reached her and handed her the passports and boarding cards for Louis and I and just as she was handing them back louis began to wake up again.
"Shh baby." I said rubbing his back hoping to get him to settle down but he didn't and looked up.
"Daddy." He croaked.
"I'll give you some more calpol when we get on the plane baby." I said and he whined before burying himself in my chest.
"He Alright?" She asked handing me back the stuff and I nodded.
"Yeah he's just feeling a bit on the poorly side." I said and she smiled sympathetically before we joined Harry and Niall who had been quicker than us.
"Hey baby." Harry said seeing Louis had woken up and louis looked up again then rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as Harry and I walked out towards the run way following people onto the plane.
"We going on that?" Louis croaked seeing the plane.
"Yep that planes going to take us to Spain." I said and louis just nodded but stayed awake looking around as we climbed the steps at the front of the plane Niall leading the way.
"Alright Ni we want row 9 and then your in seat D." Harry said to Niall who nodded and waved at the air hostess as we got on.
"Morning." I said quietly as I walked past trying to keep up with Niall and Harry while louis had gone very still and quiet.
"Daddy, don't like it." He mumbled and I sighed. If he didn't like it when it was stationary I dread to think what he's going to think of it when we're moving.
"I know love but I'll be with you the whole time." I promised as we reached are seats and I placed Louis down in his.
"Do you want anything from your rucksack before I put it away?" I asked Louis but he shook his head as he already had spot however when I looked over at Niall he was asking Harry for everything.
"Ni just choose one thing for now and then once we're in the air you can have other things." I said and he nodded before asking for his blanket.
"Daddy sit on you lap?" Louis croaked from next to me.
"As soon as we're in the air Okay, but for now you need to be in your own seat with your seatbelt on." I said and louis sighed but nodded instead resting his head against my shoulder and sniffling loudly.
"When were in the air as well I'll give you some more medicine." I said resting my hand on his forehead and he wasn't any warmer than first thing this morning which reassured me slightly.
"Okay." He mumbled closing his eyes as I pulled the seatbelt over him before wrapping an arm around him.
"Niall come on love you need to sit in your seat with your seatbelt on."
"But then I can't see out the window." He whined and I saw he was trying to look out the window but he had to lean forward as someone was sat the other side of harry by the window blocking Niall's view if he was sat properly.
"Ni once the seatbelt lights are off you can sit on papa's lap and then your be able to see but for now we're about to take off and you need to sit down properly." I said and Niall huffed but nodded as they started the safety run through.
"Are we going now?" Niall asked and I chuckled.
"Yeah were already moving Ni." I said feeling louis grip onto my arm clearly not asleep like I thought.
"Your Okay Love." I said letting him take my hand which he squeezed extremely tightly.
"Don't like it." He cried and I turned to face him seeing he had tears flowing from his eyes which was making him more congested.
"Calm down love your making yourself more congested." I said rubbing his back and grabbing a tissue from my pocket so he could blow his nose.
"Cuddle." He cried and I sighed.
"It won't be long." I promised him and looking over I saw Niall was also holding tightly onto Harry's hand.
As soon as the seatbelt lights went off I stood up and got my rucksack out of the cabin at the top and then sat down pulling Louis onto my lap once I'd got his seatbelt off.
"Alright Shh Your Okay." I promised as he snuggled into me and I wrapped my arms tightly around him.
"Let's give you some more medicine." I said reaching for the calpol that was in my bag and the spoon pouring the right amount onto the spoon.
"Open Lou." I said and he did as said before snuggling back into my chest.
"He Alright Li?" I heard Harry ask then and I nodded as I saw Niall was occupied with his colouring.
"Yeah I don't think he enjoyed take off very much. He's just had more calpol so I'm hoping he'll brighten up a bit or fall asleep." I said gently playing with Louis' hair.
Louis had nearly fallen asleep when we hit a rough patch of turbulence which meant the seatbelt lights went back on and louis had to sit on his own seat again.
"No." He cried out when I put him down in his seat and buckled his seatbelt.
"I'm sorry love but you have to sit down in your seat again." I said and he sniffled but got in a position so he was as close to me as the seatbelt would allow and Niall didn't seem fussed at all still to involved with his colouring.
All in all the flight was not one I'd like to repeat in a while as the turbulence was awful to the extent that Niall was reduced to tears as well and both boys complained of ear pain when we were landing which just added to louis' list of pain.
By the time we touched down and were ready to get off the plane Louis had fallen asleep again thankfully so I lifted him into my arms and harry then got Niall's attention who had zoned out and we disembarked the plane once everyone had there carry ons.
"Papa?" Niall whined when we reached the baggage area after going through passport checks and I looked down at him.
"Yeah sweetie."
"My head hurts." He said looking at me with bright blue eyes and I just sighed hoping more than anything that it was just from the plane.
A/N
So there will be a second part to this chapter as although I don't normally write part 2s this chapter was going to be massive otherwise.
The reason why I've finally managed to complete this chapter on a Monday is because I got sent home from work sick after nearly passing out. I mean I managed a whole 30 minutes of work. One thing I've realised though is my mum has gone into proper mum mode. I mean normally she's working when I'm sick but where's she's a teacher she's home on school hoilday and literally won't leave me alone. I think she misses it as 3 of her 4 children are in their 20s but between her and my older brother (who's a doctor) well let's face it I haven't had much alone time today. But my little brother is providing brilliant cuddles even if my mum is telling him to get out of my room every time she comes up, I don't know why she bothers as he reappears again 10 minutes later and crawls back into my bed.
