Tobio's awakening

You smiled in your sleep as you dreamed of your family. On the other side of the room, Sabrina did the final touches of her hair before she smiled in satisfaction. Your loud snoring interrupted her peaceful silence and she turned her head towards you before eyeing you down in annoyance. 'Ugh, she's so loud.' Sabrina rose to her feet and she walked over to your side of the room. She then leaned down to your ear.

Without actually saying anything, Sabrina took out her phone and she set up an alarm for five seconds. She then neared her phone to your ear, and she smiled as the alarm practically burst your eardrum. Your eyes snapped open and you cried out as you fell off the bed. Sabrina smiled in satisfaction and threw your uniform to you.

"Get dressed or we'll be late." You let out a long groan as your uniform dropped onto your face. With a great amount of effort, you pushed yourself into a sitting position and you rubbed the sore spot on your head.

"Did you really have to do that?" You questioned as you used your pinkie to clean out your ear. Sabrina eyed you in disgust.

"Ew, don't use your pinkie to clean your ear! Use an ear bud stick!" You waved her off before disappearing into the bathroom. Sabrina heard the tap running and she stood patiently by the doorway.

A good twenty minutes had passed and Sabrina tapped her foot on the floor boards impatiently as she waited for you. The moment the bathroom door opened, she turned towards you with a huff.

"Finally, what took you so long?" Sabrina questioned as she rested her hands on her hips. You frowned at her.

"Hey, it takes time to look as good as I do." You told. Sabrina frowned as you walked passed her. She then sighed and shook her head.

"Our future captain, everybody." She muttered sarcastically. She then followed you out the door.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As you and Sabrina entered the cafeteria, you searched the area for your friends while Sabrina ordered your food. Just as your order came out, you finally spotted your friends sitting amongst the crowd and you waved to them.
"Hey!" You called out to them. Your friends recognised your voice through the banter and they looked up as you and Sabrina approached them with your plates of food and they instantly smiled at the two of you.
"Hey girls." Reno greeted the two of you as you took your seat beside him. Sabrina turned away from your table and she nodded to the others.
"I'm going to sit with the other girls. I'll see you guys in class." Sabrina told. You waved to her as she left the area, and you were immediately dragged into your friend's conversation.
"I'm telling you! If we want this to work we're gonna need gold and palladium at the least!" Alejo spoke to Abercrombie as he sketched design ideas into his notebook. Abercrombie looked up from his drawing and he frowned.
"Do you know how expensive those metals are? Unless you can find a way to get those metals for me then they're out of the DISCUSSION!" You raised an inquiring brow at the two boys while Kennedy and Reno happily ate their lunch, not even bothering themselves with the pair. Deciding to ignore the two, you happily ate your lunch as well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You carefully opened your notebook and you eyed your chicken scratches with a frown just as Daddy Walrus entered the room.

"I'm gonna have to improve on my handwriting..." you whispered to yourself, making Kennedy laugh beside you.

"You know, there's a saying that if someone's handwriting is messy, it usually means they're smart." He mentioned. You gave him a doubtful look.

"Do I look like a genius to you?" You quietly retorted. After a thought, Kennedy shook his head. Before you could say anything else, Daddy Walrus clapped his hands together, successfully gaining your attention.

"Good morning, class. Today we will be having a new student with us." You, Kennedy and Sabrina gave each other confused looks as Daddy Walrus stepped to the side. Who would be smart enough to actually transfer this late in the year? You then saw the door open and your jaw practically dropped to the door as a familiar face entered the room.

Astro walked in wearing the male's school uniform and he smiled at everyone. "May we welcome Astro into our class. Now we all know him as the captain of the white diamond knights but he's here to-"

"Do some 'personal' research." Astro interrupted him, making his new teacher's eyes widen slightly in surprise. Astro's eyes quickly flickered over to you, astonishing you greatly. Daddy Walrus chuckled.

"That's right. Now, there should be a spare seat on Y/n's left." Your eyes widened and you looked next to you. 'Wait, what happened to Michael?' As you searched around the classroom, you saw him sitting near the front. He looked back at you and waved. You carefully waved back as Astro sat himself down next to you.

You looked over at him just as he turned his head towards you, and you smiled at each other. Kennedy leaned passed your and he began to whisper excitedly to Astro.

"Astro! How come you're here?" Astro held a quiet hand to him before quickly looking at the teacher.

"I'll tell you after class." Kennedy frowned at his answer while you giggled. You then opened your notebook and you readied your pen. Just as you were about to jot down the first set of notes, you felt Astro's eyes on you. Now you had become self conscious of your handwriting. You glanced up at him while half covering your book. Astro almost laughed.

"Don't worry, I've already seen what's inside." Your eyes widened in complete and utter shock.

"You WHAT!?" You screeched, interrupting the class. Daddy Walrus raised a warning brow at you, making you shrink back. "Sorry."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The moment class had ended, Kennedy and Sabrina immediately pounded Astro with questions.
"How come you're here?" Kennedy questioned. Sabrina nodded.
"Yeah, I mean what is this 'personal' research that you're doing?" Sabrina mentioned while you also listened in. Astro chuckled and he looked over at you.
"Well..." Astro then beckoned for all of you to come closer. You, Kennedy and Sabrina leaned towards him. "I'm actually here to keep a better eye on Y/n." Your eyes widened.
"What!? Why!?" You cried. Astro's eyes widened and he covered your mouth. He then sighed.
"Well, just cause!" You frowned. Astro then stood up. "I'll explain it more clearly when we're alone." He then gestured for the others to follow him before grabbing your hand. He then quickly left the classroom with the others in tow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Everyone sat outside on the grass while looking up at the sky. Astro let out a sigh of content as he relaxed on the grass with his arms folded behind his head. You began to pull on his cheek as you pestered him for some answers.

"Hey, don't go dozing off. Why exactly do you need to keep a closer eye on me?" You questioned, slightly annoyed that you couldn't be trusted. Astro peeked one eye open and looked at you.

"Well, now that your powers are growing, I'll need to be around you more to assess your power." Reno laughed before he rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, 'assess' her power. Are you sure you're not just saying that as an excuse to be around us?" Astro sat up and he gave him a sheepish smile.

"Okay, that was half the reason. But I still need to keep watch over Y/n." You frowned at him. Astro grinned wholeheartedly at you. "Your powers have been growing so fast. Even Tobio wasn't able to get a hold of his power as quickly as you have." You felt honoured by his words and you began to blush. You then pressed your hands against your cheeks and you looked down with a wide smile on your face.

"Oh you." You cued. Astro leaned towards you and he clenched his fists as he smiled encouragingly to you.

"With the way you are now, I'm positive that you'll be able to wake Tobio up." Your eyes snapped wide open and you gasped. You then ferociously shook your head, too scared to even make the attempt.

"There's no way I'd be able to wake him up just yet! Isn't this too soon?" You mentioned, to which the others nodded in agreement. Astro's confidence dimmed somewhat and he leaned back.

"Well, to be honest, I personally would like to hold off his awakening until you've fully mastered your powers. But Tenma is growing impatient. He wants you to come to the capital tomorrow." Your eyes widened and you stood up.

"Hold on, why are you just telling me this NOW!?" You questioned. Astro raised his hands in defence.

"Hey, I only just found out today! All I know is that Tenma wants me to bring you there. I have no choice." Your brows knotted together with worry. You then sighed and sat back down as the others gathered around you, as equally concerned as you are. As you thought long and hard about the boy called Tobio, you looked up at Astro. Whenever you tried to picture him, your thoughts would always come back to the robot sitting in front of you. He cocked his head to the side innocently as you hummed in thought.

"What will happen to you?" Astro raised his eyebrow at you.

"Huh?" You bit down on your lip and you carefully asked him once more.

"What will happen to you once I wake Tobio up?" Astro went silent, as if he was unsure how to respond. Everyone eyed him curiously as he picked at the grass blades, before watching them blow off his palm in the wind.

"I'm...not sure." Everyone had fallen into a stunned silence at his lax answer. Astro let out a nervous laughter and he hurried to ease everyone's worries. "I'm sure I'll be fine. I mean all we're doing is waking Tobio up. He's only a kid, so I'll still have my position as captain of the white diamond knights." He reassured. Everyone gave him doubtful looks, but before they could question him further on the matter, the school bell rang, signalling the time for the next class.

You let out a tired sigh before you stood to your feet and brushed yourself off.

"I suppose we'll find out then." You muttered. Astro laughed as he rose to his feet.

"Yeah. I'm sure nothing will happen. I'm too good to throw away." You gave him a small smile. You and your friends then split off as you headed for your next class.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The moment you woke up, you had begun to pack your things for the castle. You were only meant to be going for a day, but you never know what could happen. Plans always change. From her bed, Sabrina watched you intently as you shoved a water bottle into your already full backpack.
"So, this is it. Tobio is finally going to wake up, huh?" You shrugged at her words.
"That's if I can actually wake him up." You muttered. You then swung your bag over your shoulders. "Well, I'd better get going now. Once everything is all up and running, I'll come back." Sabrina nodded. You spared a small glance in her direction before you waved to her. Sabrina waved back to you as you left the room.
Outside the dorms, Astro stood waiting for you dressed in his usual outfit. As you opened the doors leading into the building, a smile was put on Astro's face and he met you with gusto.
"Good morning, Y/n! Are you ready?" You eyed him funnily as he practically ran circles around you. Why was he so excited? Astro then took your hand and pulled you close to him, surprising you greatly. You stared up at him with a gaping mouth, making Astro chuckle at your expression. "We'll be flying there. It'll be quicker that way." You dumbly nodded your head and you hesitantly wrapped your arms around his neck. 'Why do I feel so conscious around him?'
Astro picked you up from the ground and he held you in his arms as he readied himself for takeoff. You couldn't hide the excited grin from forming on your lips as he took off for the skies, making you squeal in excitement. Astro couldn't help but feel warned by your happy expression. His heart raced with every second that had passed by, before he brought a hand to his chest.
Your eyes widened as you slipped from his grasp, making you both cry out in surprise. Astro snagged you by the waist and he pressed you against him while you calmed your racing heart.
"T-That was too close! You've gotta be careful!" You yelled at him. Astro gave you an apologetic smile.
"Sorry about that." You puffed air into your cheek as you pouted. You then looked down and to your astonishment, you could already see the inner wall.
"Wow, you're fast!" Astro looked up at you and he flushed with excitement.
"Well I can go even faster!" The moment those words left Astro's mouth, his speed then increased dramatically. You almost dropped yourself as he zoomed through the sky. As he stared up at you, he could see the exhilaration radiating off you.
It wasn't long until you reached the capital. As you and Astro looked further down, you spotted Tenma standing by the gates, waiting for you. A smile appeared on his face as you and Astro landed on the ground, and he greeted you with open arms.
"Welcome back, Y/n. Are you ready?" You shyly looked up at him and nodded. Tenma smiled at this. He then turned to Astro. "That's all, thank you." Astro's eyes widened and he gave you a nervous look. You nodded in understanding and you grasped him by the hand.
"Dr Tenma, can't Astro come with us this time? I would feel much more comfortable if he did." You admitted. Tenma eyed the two of you condescendingly before he reluctantly nodded his head.
"If you must." Both you and Astro relaxed upon hearing this. Without a complaint, the two of you followed closely behind Tenma as he guided you into the castle. Astro stared at Tenma's back as he thought about Tobio. This was it, he was finally going to meet the sleeping boy. He breathed in through his nose and he couldn't stop the smile from appearing on his face.
'I wonder what he's like.' He thought to himself. Suddenly, he found himself standing in front of Tenma's office with the doors wide open. You tugged him along by the hand and smiled at him.
"Come on, we're so close." You whispered. Tenma looked back at you from over his shoulder while Astro carefully nodded his head. Tenma then narrowed his eyes at the young robot. 'So she's got him wrapped around her little finger. Well done, little guardian.' Astro turned to look at him when Tenma continued forwards. You and Astro then followed him into the next room where the teleporting pad sat, lying in wait.
Tenma began to input the code while you and Astro stood on the porting pad. Astro looked down at his feet as a nervous feeling fluttered into his chest, and Tenma soon joined you. Astro's grip on your hand instinctively tightened as the porting pad was activated, sending the three of you into Tobio's hospital room. You gave him a reassuring squeeze, putting a smile on his face.
The world around you then disappeared into a shade of blue, before reverting back to its original state, leading you into a wooden room. You carefully guided Astro off the pad as he looked around in wonder, while Tenma strode towards the door. He then pushed it open and gestured for you to follow him. You did so with Astro following closely behind you. Before he could pass through the doorway however, Tenma raised a stopping hand, making his eyes widen.
"I don't want him seeing you. Not yet." Tenma whispered, and he almost looked regretful. Astro opened his mouth slightly and he shared a quick look with you. You looked just as lost as him. You then reached forwards and gave his hands a tight squeeze. With much reluctance, you slowly slipped your hands out of his and you disappeared into the next room. Astro watched intently as the wooden door closed before him, trapping him in complete darkness.
You and Tenma walked over to Tobio's bedside, and you saw that he was sleeping, just like before. 'He looks so peaceful.' You silently thought to yourself as you inspected his face. You could barely see the resemblance between him and Tenma. His eyelashes were long and his skin was pale, just like Astro's.
You were snapped out of your thoughts when Tenma planted a heavy hand onto your shoulder, making you look up at him. He nodded encouragingly to you. You breathed in before turning towards Tobio once more. With baited breath, you reached out towards Tobio, ready to grab a hold of his pendant.
Just before you could, the black onyx pendant on your chest resonated with a pulse, making you stop. Your eyes widened as your eyes clouded over, and a broken voice spoke to you.
"....n... you.....mus....wake....." Your head pounded with a headache, making you wince and grasp it tightly. You clutched your head tightly as the voice continued, and Tenma eyed you down with concern.
"Y/n, what's the matter?" He spoke. You shook your head and you looked down at Tobio.
"I-I don't know. The pendant, what is it trying to tell me...?" You uttered. Tenma's lips parted in awe.
"You can hear the voice of the pendant?" You hummed your answer. Tenma's fists shook and he pushed you further towards his son.
"Then that means it's working. You must wake him up now, Y/n!" You looked back at him in alarm as you were shoved to his bedside, and you carefully turned your head towards Tobio. The pain in your head had subsided for now, but the voice still lingered at the back of your head. You swallowed hard and you reached out to the pendant once more. Somehow, this didn't feel right. Right before your fingers could touch the pendant, you spoke.
"I...don't think I should be removing the pendant." You muttered. Tenma's brows knotted together.
"What?" You frowned at the sleeping boy before pulling your hand back.
"I'm not sure what to do, but I know this for a fact. I can't remove the pendant, I mustn't." You then looked up at Tenma. "That is what the black onyx pendant is telling me." Tenma's eyes widened and he stood in a silent manner. His face then contorted into anger and he grabbed you by the collar, making you cry out.
"You HAVE to know how to wake him, you're the black onyx guardian! What good are you to him then if you can't do your job!" He yelled, sending fear to your heart. Your hands grabbed onto his and you desperately tried to pry yourself away from his hold.
From behind the door, Astro could hear Tenma's shouting clearly. He furrowed his brows before slowly opening the door. To his utter shock, he had you held up by your collar. Without giving it a second thought, he burst through the door and he rushed to your aid. Tenma's eyes widened as Astro yanked you out of his grip and he stood protectively in front of you with his arms spread out. He glared angrily at Tenma, surprising him.
"What do you think you're doing!?" Astro snapped. Tenma had fallen into a stunned silence while you trembled behind Astro, clinging to his back. One look at you clearly told him that he was in the wrong, and he inhaled calming breaths. He then bowed his head apologetically at you.
"I'm sorry, Y/n. I just so desperately want to see my son..." he whimpered. You held your breath as tears rolled down his cheeks. You and Astro then shared a look. With a great amount of hesitation, you pulled yourself away from him before standing before him.
"Dr Tenma, I need time to prepare. I've only just learned how to use my powers. I...honestly don't know what to do." You whispered, ashamed for your lack of control. Astro walked up to you and he rested a comforting hand onto your shoulder. He then looked up at Tenma with a hardened gaze.
"What about your study materials on the black onyx pendant? Would she be able to have a look at those?" Astro suggested. Tenma dragged a tired hand over his face before he sat himself down on the chair beside Tobio's bed.
"If you must. Astro, take her to the library." He instructed. Astro nodded his head and he gently guided you out of the room. Tenma watched him leave before focusing his attention on his son. "You've changed so much, Astro...." he whispered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The moment Tenma was out of earshot, you and Astro turned towards each other and the both of you let out exasperated sighs of relief.

"That was way too scary!" You wailed and clung onto Astro for dear life. He nodded his head in agreement and he wrapped his arms around you protectively. Through his hold, you could feel his trembling to a great degree. You looked up at him and you gently grasped him by the arm. "Hey, are you okay?" Astro breathed in before he nodded his head.

"Y-Yeah, I'm okay. You were in more of a dangerous situation than I was." You frowned at him. 'I really don't think so, Astro.' You thought silently to yourself. Astro regained his composure and he guided you towards the library by the hand.

The walk was long and silent, but not awkward. The both of you had your own thoughts you needed to sort out, so this was good. Eventually you did reach the library, and Astro opened its doors to find that it was practically empty. You and Astro looked at each other before you approached the clerk at the desk. The young lady looked up from her book and a feint flicker of surprise crossed her face upon seeing Astro behind you.

"Excuse me, we would like access to Dr Tenma's research notes on the black onyx pendant." You spoke. The clerk looked hesitant, but after a not of confirmation from Astro, she reached into her draw and rummaged around in it. She then pulled out a black key card before handing it over to you.

"You'll find his work on the second floor. Use this key card to access the elevator to get there." She spoke. You and Astro both nodded your heads and you graciously took the card from her. You and Astro then made your way towards the elevator just across from the counter.

You looked down at the keycard before holding it over the panel just beside the silver doors. A beep of confirmation then sounded and the two doors opened for you. You stepped back in surprise as a tiny room awaited you. Astro raised an inquiring brow at you as you hesitated before it.

"There weren't any elevators back at the orphanage, so I've never been inside of one before." You embarrassingly admitted. Astro blinked in surprise. He then smiled and nudged you inside.

"Well, elevators aren't anything special." You stepped inside the small box and you watched as the doors closed shut. The room then jolted in movement, sending you tumbling into Astro. You gasped as the room moved to the second floor while Astro kept a tight hold on you.

When the doors opened, you quickly raced outside and you looked around in astonishment. You then looked back at the elevator with a raised eyebrow.

"How does that thing work?" You wondered out loud. Astro laughed and he guided you away from the mysterious contraption.

"We should focus on finding Dr Tenma's notes." He spoke, reminding you of your original goal. You nodded your head in agreement and you immediately set out searching for them.

You and Astro split off in two seperate directions. You walked down one of the isles and you looked around in awe at all of the books labelled with Tenma's name. He truly was a magnificent scientist. The more you looked at the books, your brain began to hurt.

"I don't even know what I'm looking for.... Maybe I should have stuck with Astro after all..." you trailed off. With a shake of your head, you began to scroll through his works with your finger. Magical technology, the castle's defences, the Great War....

Your eyes widened as your finger stopped on the book labeled the Great War. This definitely wasn't the book you were looking for, but... somehow you were drawn to this book. You carefully reached in and pulled it out of its slot. You then pulled it open, and you flipped through its pages. As you searched through the book, you came to a section where a few pages were missing. It looked like they had been torn out. You read over the title of the chapter and your heart stilled.

"The guardians tragedy....?" You furrowed your brows in concern and you desperately tried to salvage as much of this text as you could. As you turned over the latest page, you let out a cry of frustration. "Argh, too many pages are missing! How am I going to find out about what happened two hundred years ago if there's nothing about-" you cut yourself short as you came across a very haunting image.

Your eyes steadily widened as you looked down at the image of a boy wearing all black. The most haunting part about it was his looks. 'W-Why is Astro in this book?' You carried your gaze over to the text placed under it, but to your utter horror, the bottom of the page had been ripped out. Unlike the other pages however, this tare looked old.

"Y/n I found the book!" Astro exclaimed as he popped his head around the corner, scaring the living day lights out of you. You dropped the book in surprise and you stumbled back. Astro blinked in surprise before he picked up the book and read over its cover. "What's this?"

You held a calming hand over your racing heart as your chest heaved with every breath you took. You swallowed hard before you took the book back from Astro.

"It's a book on the two hundred year war. You...wouldn't happen to know anything about it, would you?" You asked him. Astro stared at you for a moment, almost contemplatingly. He then shook his head no. Your brows knotted together in thought as you eyed the book down.

"Anyways, I found what we were looking for. Here, I really think you should read this." Astro said as he dutifully handed the book to you. You reached forwards and grabbed onto it. You and Astro then made your way over to one of the nearby couches situated on the second floor, and together you began to read through its contents.

The more you read, the more understanding you gained with the black onyx's powers. The white diamond and the black onyx, they truly were polar opposites.

"So I control the spacial realm while Tobio controls the time factor.... How do I wake him up though?" You mumbled to yourself. Astro read over the book's contents before he pointed to a line of text on the left page.

"It says here that the pendants increase its wearer's sixth sense. I think that's how we're going to save Tobio." Astro spoke, and he looked at you just as you looked at him. Your lips twisted into a smile and you squealed on the spot.

"I'm so glad you're with me. Without you, I don't think I would have been able to find this on my own." You admitted. Astro smiled in return.

"I'm always happy to help you, Y/n." You nodded ecstatically at him. You then held both books under your arm as you jumped to your feet, much more confident than you were before.

"Okay, let's go save Tobio!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tenma kept Tobio's hand clasped in his as he sorrowfully bowed his head to him. He then heard the door open behind him, and he looked back just as you and Astro entered the room. Clasped in your arms were two books, a pair he was very familiar with.
"Do you know how to wake him?" He asked you as he sat upright. You handed the two books over to Astro before walking over to Tobio's side. You then crouched down before him.
"Kind of. I'll need you to take a step back." Tenma opened his mouth before he followed your instructions. You straightened and you grasped your pendant. It would pulse whenever you approached Tobio, so perhaps it was resonating with the white diamond pendant.
You closed your eyes and you focused all of your heart onto the pendant's pulse. Slowly, your heart beat matched its pulse, and together your hearts beat as one. Tenma and Astro watched with wide eyes as black spotted markings curled around your arms, legs and neck. You then opened your eyes and they flashed a deep red.
White wisps surrounded Tobio's body in a web. The connecting point was the pendant itself. You narrowed your eyes at the pendant. 'I see, so this is what I have to do.' A ring of shadow appeared by your feet as you held your hands out before you. A scythe made of shadows then appeared in your hands, alarming Tenma greatly.
"What do you think you're doing!?" Tenma screamed as he reached out to stop you. Astro pulled him back.
"She's waking Tobio up." He uttered. Tenma looked back at him. You raised your scythe high above your head. You then swung down, cutting the aura around Tobio. A burst of light escaped the pendant, blinding everyone in the room, including yourself. You cried out and you fell back. You felt someone catch you and you instantly recognised Astro's touch.
"W-What's happening!?" Tenma cried as he shielded his eyes from the blinding light. You were too awe struck to actually answer it. Soon enough, the bursting light died down, revealing Tobio's sleeping state. The marks on your body dissipated into nothing and your eyes shifted back to their original colour. You steadily blinked ahead of you as everyone waited with baited breaths.
The tip of Tobio's finger moved, and steadily, his eyes fluttered open to reveal his bright chocolate brown orbs. Tenma's smile widened and he was flushed with relief as his son groggily sat upright. He held his head as a painful grunt escaped his lips.
"Ugh... what happened...?" He croaked, and he dragged his tired gaze across the room. The moment his eyes came into contact with his fathers, they widened. "Dad...?" Tenma started to laugh as he raced towards his son and embraced him tightly. Tobio muffled a sound of surprise before his eyes welled up with tears, and he hugged his father back just as fiercely. "Dad!"
You felt like crying as you watched the heartwarming reunion between Tenma and his son. Beside you, Astro stared at Tobio in awe. The young boy had failed to notice him, which was probably a good thing. As Tobio brought himself out of said hug, his eyes flickered towards you. The moment the two of you shared eye contact, a spark emitted between the two of you. You held your breath as Tobio's eyes widened. He then lifted his finger towards you, prompting Tenma to look back at you.
"W-Who are you?" He uttered. You jumped at the sudden question and you clutched your hands to your chest.
"M-Me? Oh, I'm...." you gulped down your fears, regaining your confidence. You then clenched your fists and you smiled at him. "My name is Y/n, I'm the guardian candidate for the black onyx pendant." Tobio gasped upon hearing this and a look of shock was clearly evident on his face. It was understand, there hadn't been a black onyx guardian for so long.
"H-How is this possible..." he uttered, confusing you greatly. As he looked across the room, his eyes eventually settled on Astro, and his entire body stiffened. Astro felt nervous, and he shuffled on the spot as this boy eyed him down like a foreign object.
"Astro....?"
