Y/N, there are somewhat disturbing information I need to share with you and Yoongi. It's been weeks since the bodies have been delivered to me but I've noticed something strange. The decomposition is unusually slow, even with it being refrigerated. Seeing this, I'm suspecting that a embalming fluid may be present in the victim's body. I'm doing additional lab work to see what the killer used precisely, which may help you track them down. Another thing is, since there are no signs of resistance, we can assume the killer was someone who knew each of the victims. Please be careful, same goes for Yoongi. The possibility of the killer being a student or teacher is rising. Don't trust people too readily.

I'll contact you if I find out anything significant. I promise.

Stay safe and wish you all of the luck.

Love,

Seokjin

The breeze was oddly cold, the branches of trees brushing against each other because of the icy wind that made eerie screams that shook the female's soul. Her eyes nervously darted around the sky, eyeing the dark gray clouds that looked like it would start to leak any moment. The shine of the moon peaked every other minute as the clouds shifted, being carried by the wind at a speed the naked eye could see.

"What the fuck? What's so important that you need to tell me immediately, wanting to meet out so late at night?" The female irritably questioned, rubbing her hands over her arms as the cold breeze blew, goose bumps appearing on her skin. She scowled, subconsciously covering her chest with her arm, her flimsy nightgown feeling too thin for her to wear outside. Although she tried to look unconcerned, her eyes darted around nervously, knowing well that it was after curfew and if she were caught out, she'd get severely punished.

"Don't worry. The guards never come around here during this time. They'll be on the south side of campus about right now, and it'll take more than twenty minutes for them to come back around here," the person who called the female to meet them there commented with an easy going smile.

The female rolled her eyes as she tapped her foot. "Well, what did you want? Hurry up, there's no way I want to be found with you, I don't have all night, and I rather get back into bed," the young woman flipped her hair over her shoulder, turning her back to eye the lotus flowers that glowed a pale pink under the moonlight.

"Do you know you're a sinful creature?"

The female's eyebrows furrowed in confusion, moving to turn around to question what she was just told. However, before she could, her mouth and nose were covered with a sickly sweet smelling cloth. Her first instinct was to scream, but her yells were muffled, almost being completely silenced.

"This is your fault. You're a disappointment just like the last three..."

The female's eyes filled with tears as she begged, her mind slowly becoming fuzzy as the oxygen left her body, her lungs begging to breathe. As black smudges spotted her eyesight, she suddenly felt regret sweep through her.

There were so many things she could have done. So many things she has done in the past. And so many things she now wanted to do as her life flashes before her. But the one specific regret she wanted to undo the most made her stomach sink.

'I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry my brother...'

Your eyes snapped open, gasps escaping your lips as you sat up on your bed, your breath coming out in small pants. After a moment you sighed, rubbing your forehead, feeling the sheen layer of sweat sticking onto your skin.

Your eyes traveled to the window, the sky was still a dark blue, making you turn your attention to the alarm clock on your table.

4:30 AM.

You could hear chirps outside, the birds preparing for the day as the light of the sun slowly climbed up to the sky.

With a shaky breath, you look at the bed on the opposite side of the room, barely being able to see Yoongi sleeping, his mouth parted as soft snores left his lips. Although your knees felt weak and your hands were clammy, you slowly climb out of bed, making sure not to make the bed creak under your weight.

Minutes later, you sneak out of your room, slipping into the bathroom. Your clothes soon get disregarded to the floor, and you step into the stream of boiling hot water. It barely even takes a minute for the room to get filled with thick steam, your skin turning a bright red because of the heat of the water. You don't care, you actually welcome it with open arms, allowing the scalding water to run over your skin. It stung, but it soon became a numb pain that made you close your eyes, distracting you from your haunting thoughts.

However, as you heard your phone that was placed on the sink blast it's alarm, you snapped out of your daze, realizing that the once hot water was much colder, your body shivering at the drastic chase. With a high pitch squeak from the nob, the water was turned off, your hair dripping water creating puddles on the floor as you grabbed your towel.

The alarm on your phone told you it was already six o'clock, the usual time you woke up. And you became aware that you were under the water for more than an hour. Your thought moved to Yoongi, the man usually woke up a bit later than you, so you knew you had to be quiet as you got dressed.

What you weren't expecting as you opened the door was to find the male sitting on his bed, his eyes already trained on you.

Yoongi's features were soft, his head that was absent from the wig was covered in messy raven strands caused by sleep. His lips tugged up into a sad smile as he took in your form. Your skin was red, your cheeks flushed and your body covered with a fluffy towel that did nothing to soak up your dripping hair.

He didn't say anything as he opened his arms, beckoning you to enter them. At first, you were going to deny, not wanting to get him wet as well. However, seeing his nod, you melted, slowly lowering yourself onto his lap, pressing your face into the side of his neck.

For a moment you both stayed like that, neither of you saying a word. Yoongi has been with you for a while, being a teammate, your official partner in work for four years, even going through training with you during your recruitment days as cadets when you were barely considered an adult. The two of you only became a couple at the beginning of last year. However, Yoongi was someone who knew you inside and out.

He was there on your first mission. He was there beside you for four years witnessing every horrifying assignment and cases your team was assigned. And although you would like to place your heart and mind in different places during work, it's quite difficult when you see cases such as dismantled bodies of innocent children or finding sickening human experiments after a raid that made bile rise up your throat. Although there was no point where you would get bored with your job, you're continually getting haunted by what you witness as a secret agent. You did a fairly good job blocking it out most of the times, but sometimes they popped into your mind at night where it made you sleepless.

Yoongi knew about your habits of slipping out of bed to stand under the boiling water until your skin was as red as a cooked lobster. He hated how you did so, but he didn't stop you, knowing it was your way of coping. It was better than drinking and smoking away the memory in his mind. And each of the boys had their own ways to forget what they saw. Yours was just a bit more worrisome compared to the others.

"How long were you awake?" You questioned as Yoongi began to dry your hair for you, carefully running the towel through your strands before he grabbed your brush left on your bed stand.

"As soon as I heard the shower turn on."

You looked down in shame, "sorry..."

Yoongi released a small scoff as he moved to brush your wet strands, "the fuck are you apologizing for, Y/N?"

Your lips tug up to a gentle smile, and you don't respond as you close your eyes, enjoying the feeling of your hair getting combed, the sound of your strands going through the bristled calming you down. Neither of you exchanged words until your hair was completely dry, Yoongi surprisingly doing a great job on blow drying it.

"Come on, you pabo, get dressed before you catch a cold. You still have to do my hair and makeup," Yoongi playfully swatted your butt as he eyed his sweats that were slightly damp from you sitting on them.

You release a soft laugh, leaning forward and giving his cheek a quick peck. "I'm starting to think you could actually do your own hair with the way you did mine. You're probably just lazy to do it yourself," you tease as you pick out your underwear and slip them on before your crisp uniforms do as well.

Yoongi ignored you as he plops himself in a chair where you usually did his makeup. "Come on woman, help me out. You want me out there with ridiculous makeup?"

You chuckled, no, you did not.

You looked out the window, eyeing the grey crying sky as you slowly brought a forkful of food into your mouth. Yoongi wasn't beside you for once, the male skipping dinner to avoid Woojin who has been pestering him. It turned out the Junior was part of the basketball club, and he was begging your partner to become the manager of the team.

Of course, Yoongi refused immediately, but the younger male was stubborn, claiming that the boy's basketballs' motivation would go up if Yoongi became the manager. And gosh, poor Yoongi wasn't able to shake off the younger male, Woojin literally following him like a lost puppy. And that was around when both you and Yoongi learned about the nicknames you two received from other students. Rather cliche ones you must add by the way.

The Ice Princess and her sister, the Sun Princess. They were polar opposite yet attached to each other's hip all of the time. You had laughed when you first heard it, finding it extremely cliché and cheesy. It had been barely a week since you two transferred to the school, yet you both already had nicknames. And it was quite obvious who was the Ice Princess.

Yoongi had smirked, a smug look appearing on his face, quite pleased that the persona he was acting was successful. He had also snickered at your nickname. Apparently, Sun Princess sounded stupid to your boyfriend. You, however, had retorted with a, "at least my nickname is kinda right. You're not even a female."

That made him shut up with a scowl, much to your amusement.

"Can I sit here, Sun Princess?"

You turned your head in surprise, your eyes meeting a familiar face. You grinned, shifting your own tray to let the boy sit down. Jihoon smiled sweetly as he took his seat, his face just as cute looking since the last time you saw him.

"So," you began, trying to hold in the chuckle of amusement, "Sun Princess?" You questioned, raising an eyebrow in amusement.

The younger boy sheepishly rubbed his neck as he took hold of his chopsticks. "Sorry, it's just what all my classmates have been calling you, and it just stuck," Jihoon admits as he flashes you another smile that makes you want to coo.

You playfully roll your eyes before waving off the younger male's embarrassment with a hand. You're quick to change the topic as you look out the window once again.

The rain seemed to grow harder, the ground becoming puddles and the sky growing darker as low rumbles of thunder echoed. You were thankful you were inside and not out there, maybe you'll grab Yoongi and yourself a cup of hot chocolate before you leave. It seemed appropriate for the weather.

"It's really starting to pour. I wasn't anticipating for it to become so hard, it completely messed up my schedule today," Jihoon followed your gaze and sighed, his expression clouding as he poked at his food.

You cocked your head in ponder, wondering what the rain prevented the boy from doing. It seemed like Jihoon noticed your confusion, his eyes flashing with a hint of amusement.

"I was going to go to the garden to pick some flowers I've been growing for my Ikebana piece I'm working on right now. I also need to go to the Toad Pond to snatch some lotus flowers as well. They're in full bloom and are perfect to be the main flower of my piece," you watched in wonder as the boy's eyes lit up as he talked about his passion.

"You see, the flowers are the prettiest in the morning when the dew is still present! And with the sunrise's light, the reflection of everything on the water droplets make it really a picture and I—" a sudden look of realization appeared on Jihoon's face, his cheeks flushing a pink as he blushed in embarrassment. He looked flustered as he hid his face with his hand, his eyes avoiding your smile.

You released a chuckle and propped your cheek in your hand. "You really like your club activity huh? I can tell by the way you talk about," you comment, your eyes softening on the boy before you. He reminded you of your younger brother. Your sweet little B/N, he was around Jihoon's age when he was killed...

Your heart sunk as you thought about your younger brother's death. He was the reason why you were in this profession in the first place. His grotesque murder was what made your soul burn with passion, creating your dream to bring every crime to an end, which motivated you to enter the elite group of Bighit.

"Would you like to come with me tomorrow morning? Although it's going to be wet and probably slightly muddy, I'm positive you'll like my garden," Jihoon's cheeks flushed a rosy pink as he scratched his head. However, he quickly looked flustered as he eyed you with his eyes round, "b-but of course, if you don't want to that's perfectly fine. You just looked like you were interested and I just ass—"

You couldn't help it. The giggles escaped your lips as you reached out, ruffling the younger male's hair. "Calm down kid. Yeah, I'll come, we'll meet early in the morning okay? I'm sure it'll be as pretty as you said it is," you assured, finally pulling your hand away from his mop of messy hair.

The boy before you was beet red, his mouth opening, and closing while no sounds escaped his lips. Eventually, a noise that was like a squeak escaped his lips as he smacked his head on the table.

Your mouth fell open in shock, your eyes widening in disbelief at Jihoon's strange reaction. "A-Are you okay....?" You questioned, not knowing how you were supposed to react.

Jihoon's body shifted at your voice, turning his head to the side as he looked at you, his flushed cheeks getting squashed by the table. "I feel like a little kid talking to you, Y/N-Noona. You just seem so much more mature than any of the girls here, and it makes me flustered," the teenage boy admitted, looking embarrassed as he confessed his feelings.

You released an awkward laugh as you rubbed your neck. Well.... You were technically almost a decade older than most of the students here. It would be more concerning if a twenty-four-year-old woman weren't mature.

"It's not fair how calm you always seem to be. Even Seulgi-Noona and her group don't know how to act around you," Jihoon commented as he pouted. "And you probably can see, but they're starting to feel threatened by both your and Yoonji Noona's presence. I'm surprised they haven't started their attacks yet."

At the boy's words, you threw your head back and laughed out loud, earning a couple of curious looks from students that sat around you. Jihoon, himself looked alarmed as well as confused, his lips parting in wonder as you tried to stop laughing, tears gathering at the corner of your eyes.

Eventually, you did stop laughing, only a couple of giggles escaping your lips as you tried to calm your breathing. You sent a look of amusement across the room, eyeing the table where the Queen Bee was sitting with her little cute worker bees.

"They've been trying quite hard actually," you comment as you cross your leg, the corner of your lips lifting up into a grin. "Yoonji and I found a dead rat in front of our doors this morning. Yesterday someone stuck gum to the doorknob. And the day before that, they left a present of cockroaches. I think I still have them in a jar in my bag," you comment, eyeing your backpack that was placed on the floor.

When you first saw the carcass of the roaches scatter outside your door, you snorted, waking up Yoongi so he could have a look himself. You had both shared a look before laughing, quite appalled at how childish these girls could get. In the end, you had decided to collect the cockroaches and perhaps maybe give them back to the girls when you saw a good chance.

Yes, you did think that roaches were unpleasant, but they didn't affect you. You were a secret agent for god sake, you've seen countless of decomposed bodies in the four different stages. At this point, something so stupid as a bug didn't faze you.

"And oh, we can't forget how our chair and desk were missing in class today. I'm surprised people actually do crap like this. I assumed it only happened in all those movies and dramas to make bullying dramatic," you matter a factly comment, rolling your eyes as you nonchalantly spoke.

Jihoon started at you in awe, his eyes seeming to shine in admiration. He had first thought you along with Yoonji were admirable, not immediately joining Seulgi's group like he had thought you would. But now he saw you in a new light, seeing how down to earth you were.

He opened his mouth to speak, but he was caught off as loud gasps echoed through the dining hall.

Yours as well as Jihoon's eyes snapped to where the commotion was coming from in interest, your lips tugging down into a frown as you realized where it came from.

"Who the fuck do you think you are, coming to talk to us?" Rose was on her feet; her lips curled in disgust while she held her empty cup with her perfectly manicured hand.

You stood up in alarm, your lips twitching as the male who was on the other end of Rose's anger spluttered, his wet strand of hair hanging over his eyes.

The boy you recognized as Lai Guanlin looked like a deer caught in headlights as he faced Rose who was reaching for her plate of food.

"I-I just wanted to know if y-you've seen Im Nayeon.... The professors told me she hasn't shown up to class today and I—"

The freshman couldn't finish his sentence as a pile of pasta was dropped onto his head, the tomato sauce dripping down his hair and shoulder, staining his uniform.

"Did I give you permission to speak?" Rose snickered as she wiped her hand with a napkin, her mouth curling up into a smirk.

The girls who sat with her snickered as they pointedly laughed at poor Guanlin, some of them pulling their phones out to record. Seulgi seemed indifferent as she had her arms crossed over her chest, watching the scene unfold with the corner of her lips tugged up. Other students watched with their breath held, none of them seem to move from where they were seated as they continued to watch.

Rose flipped her dyed hair over her shoulder as her hand reached for another cup of water. However, before she could dump the content over Guanlin's head your hand snatched her wrist. You had stood up as soon as you saw her pick up her plate of pasta, but you weren't fast enough to cross the room to stop her. But you were determined to stop her from doing more harm.

The female froze, her gaze landing on your face. Her eyes burned with anger, his lips curling till her teeth were visible. "What the fuck? Let me go, you stupid bitch!" Rose snarled as she tries to free herself from your grip.

However, she winced, her eyes moving to her wrist as your grip tightened around her thin bone. A look of fear flashed through her brown orbs as she took in your smile. It looked quite innocent at first glance; your lips curled into an easy smile, your eyes narrowed to crescent moons. However, your orbs burned with anger as you tighten your grip, knowing if you moved your wrist a certain way you could easily dislocate her shoulder.

"That's enough don't you think?" You cheerfully questioned before letting go of Rose, your other hand gently taking the cup out of her hand and placing it on the table. Your smile doesn't drop as you turn to face the poor boy covered in food. Guanlin's eyes wavered for a second, his lips trembling as he looked up at you from where he was kneeling.

Your heart aches for the poor teenager as you slowly crouch down, so you were eyes leveled with him. Your hand pulls out a handkerchief from your sweaters pocket, gently rubbing the boy's face to make sure the sauce was away from his eyes.

"Come on, sweetheart. Let's get you cleaned up, yeah?" You coo, offering your hand to the boy, not caring if you got dirty.

Guanlin stares at it for a moment, seeming to hesitate. However, he eventually takes it, slowly getting up to his feet with his head down, his eyes not meeting anyone.

Everyone in the room watched with disbelief, not believing how you had intervened Rose. No one had ever seen someone do that before, especially not when Rose had a group of girls ready to defend her.

The female herself looked like she was humiliated, her cheeks dusting a pink as her fists curled into a ball beside her. Her eyes hardened as she grabbed the cup you had taken from her.

"You fucking bitch! Who do you think you are?!"

The smile you had immediately dropped, your peripheral vision picking up her movement.

Your body subconsciously moved, your body tucking down as Rose swung her arm, preparing to throw the cup at you. However, before she released the plastic, you had moved under her arm, hitting the cup a certain way so it tilted towards Rose herself.

The room was absolutely silent, many students' mouths dropping to the floor in fear as well as shock, Rose spluttering, her hair dripping from the water that got poured over her head. Her orange hair was a couple of shades of darker, falling into her face in a limp mess.

The female herself seemed like she was shocked, her makeup running down her face as she spluttered, her mouth opening and closing is disbelief.

You held yourself back from laughing as you moved to look back at Guanlin, flashing the shocked male a smile. "Alright, let me walk you to your room, okay? We can't have you covered in tomato sauce. And I just know how to get those stains out of your uniform, don't you worry," you softly speak as you take hold of his hand. However, before you turn away, you stop, making an over exaggerated gasp escape your lips.

"Oh! I almost forgot!"

You rumble through your bag for a second before taking hold of what you were looking for.

"Here, I just thought you'd want them back! Poor things are barely alive!" You cheerfully shove the glass jar into Seulgi's chest.

Your lips tugged up into an evil smile as the female released a high pitched shriek, dropping the glass jar to the floor, effectively releasing the dozen or more cockroaches as it shattered.

The girls at the table soon broke into chaos, screaming at the top of their lungs as they shoved each other out of the way, trying to run away from the crawling bugs.

Taking this chance, you exit the dining hall, dragging the silent male beside you into the hallways. The boy doesn't speak up, only keeping his head down as you walk to the dorms.

"Y/N!"

You abruptly stop, turning around to face the male that yelled after you.

Sungwoon's glasses were slipping down his nose as he panted, his body bending in half as he tried to catch his breath.

You patiently wait for him to even out his breathing, one of your eyebrows raised in question, wondering what the male wanted from you.

"A-Are you hurt?! Anywhere?! Did Rose not hurt you in any way?" The man spoke so fast, you barely caught what he said. Sungwoon seemed flustered, his eyes frantically running over your body as if you were hurt.

Like hell that would happen.

"I'm fine, Pres. Just a little upset but not a single scratch, see?" You lift both your hands up to prove your point. However, at that moment you also realized you still held Guanlin's hand. The said male looked embarrassed, so you hastily let him go, you sending a sheepish smile to the boy in apology.

Sungwoon sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose while taking his glasses off, "I thought my heart was going to stop!" He exclaimed, his mouth shaping into a pout. "I've never seen any of those girls so mad before, it's crazy. If their glare were daggers, you'd be buried six feet under, Y/N," he comment, his concerned eyes giving me a look of disapproval.

"Well, good thing they're not, right? I'm too young to die right now, I've got so many other things I wanna do with my life," you good-heartedly joke, hoping to lighten up the whole conversation.

Seeing your goofy grin, Sungwoon shakes his head in disbelief. "Now, you're officially on their number one hate list. I don't know what they'll try to do to you now...." The male before you seemed frustrated, however, you don't miss how the corner of his lips lift up into a smile as you shrugged your shoulders without much care.

"What did you expect me to do? Just watch everything like a bystander?" You scoff, rolling your eyes, "I can't believe no one else went up to help him. Someone needs to teach those girls their place, they've literally been harassing everyone on campus like they own everything," you scrunch your nose in distaste, feeling the anger slowly bubbling up your stomach once again.

Sungwoon winced at your words, his finger scratching his nose uncomfortably, his shoulder stiffened. You note his strange action before changing the topic.

"Anyhow," you began, giving a pointed look to your classmate, "why did you come after us? Do you need something from the either of us?" You questioned, moving your gaze to Guanlin, who was silent throughout your conversation.

Sungwoon's eyes light up in recognition as he straightened out his back. "Oh, I was going to stop you from entering the boy's dorm. Females aren't allowed, and you'll get into trouble if you're found in the boys' wings. That's why I chased after you two," the male explained as his own eyes moved to Guanlin, giving the boy a quick look of pity.

"Oh," you muttered, "I didn't know of that. Good thing you stopped me before I did something stupid. I wonder why Yoonji didn't tell me," you mutter the end part to yourself, promising yourself to question your partner later.

"Yeah, so why don't you go back to your room before the girls come hunting you down? I'll go and help him clean up," Sungwoon offered as he sent a friendly smile at Guanlin who was still looking down at his feet. The poor boy's shoes were filthy as well, covered by the few remains of pasta as well as sauce.

You released a sigh, before nodding. However, you send a pointed look at your classmate, "yeah, sure. But I want you bringing me his clothes afterward. I'm sure since you're the class president and all, you have more privilege than any of us so you won't get in trouble walking down the girl's wing."

Sungwoon sent you a look of bewilderment, his eyes widening, "w-what?! I can't do that!"

You chuckled and placed a hand on his shoulder, tilting your head slightly, "oh, please, Sungwoon? You just have to hook the bag onto my doorknob and leave. Think about it. You'll be helping him as well.  You can't just let his uniform continued to be stained red, right? I know how to get it off!"

The male seemed to enter an inner conflict for a minute before he sighed, his shoulder slumping in defeat.

"Fine.... But like you said, I'm just hooking the bag to your doorknob. I can't abuse my power just like that..." Sungwoon pouted, looking somewhat annoyed that you were able to convince him.

A small laugh escaped your lips, as you squeezed the boy's arm, "you're the best Sungwoon. A true class president that cares about other students," you sugar coat your words, deciding to charm the male a bit as you bat your eyelashes.

That seemed to do the trick as Sungwoon blushed while he chuckled, puffing his chest out a bit with pride at your compliments.

"Don't worry, Y/N. I'll take good care of him. You can go back now."

Satisfied at what you hear you nod. You sent a quick look at Guanlin, the freshmen avoiding your gaze, his bangs covering his eyes. You don't think much of it, only feeling a ting of pity for the boy.

"Alright, good night you two," you flash them a sweet smile as you turn around, going back to where you came from.

However before you can get far, a voice called out to you.

"I—uh, THANK YOU Y-Y/N SUNBAENIM!"

You turn around with a smile, your eyes twinkling as you see Guanlin's stiff form bowing at you.

"Of course! If they give you a hard time, don't hesitate to come to Noona, okay? And I'll get your uniform back to you as soon as I finish cleaning it," you yell back, sending the boy a lazy wave before trekking forward, a light skips to your steps.

You grab two cups of hot beverage before you head to your room, one hot chocolate for yourself and a plain black coffee for Yoongi, free of sugar just how he likes it.

As you unlock the door, you can see your partner sitting at his desk, his computer in front of him. His wig was abandoned on the bed, his face getting lit up because of the screen. Hearing you, Yoongi looks up, his eyes seeming to brighten as he notices the cups in your hand.

"Please tell me that's my coffee I've been craving," he grumbles, holding his hand out. You rolled your eyes at his sassiness, but you do hand him his cup, silently patting yourself on your back, glad you got him coffee instead of hot chocolate. God knows he would have complained if you had.

Apparently hot chocolate is too sweet for Yoongi. You, on the other hand, had no idea what he's talking about.

As you sat down at your own desk, sipping your cup that was now lukewarm, Yoongi turned towards you, an eyebrow raised in question.

"So, you've finally decided to cause drama."

You cocked your head to the side, trying to play it clueless and confused. However, as Yoongi shoved his computer into your face, you wince seeing the video on the screen.

"Oh, that was pretty slick of me, huh? I didn't expect it actually to work!" You comment with approval as you watched yourself redirect Rose's attack with the cup of water. Yoongi sighs at your reaction, shaking his head. However, you don't miss how the corner of his lips tug up in amusement, much to your delight.

"About time you did. I was wondering when you'll finally snap and retaliate," Yoongi grumbled as he replayed the video, "I hope you know a lot of people were taking videos and posting it. Those girls are gonna be a bitch to deal with."

To prove his point, Yoongi began pulling up different social media accounts as his fingers flew over the keyboard, showing you videos of the fight taken at different angles. You admit you were slightly impressed, knowing Yoongi was able to do this because he hacked into the system, allowing him to view private social media accounts without the owners noticing.

Usually hacking was done by Namjoon but at times, when it is necessary, Yoongi does it himself. And he was quite good at it.

You carry yourself to your bed and sit onto the soft comforter while releasing a sigh, rubbing a tired hand over your face. "We literally haven't got a single clue on this assignment. It's been few weeks since we've arrived here."

Yoongi grunted in response, his eyes shifting over the screen as he read over the data. It takes a while for him to give you a worded response.

"I say the kid Bae Jinyoung is fucking suspicious."

You rolled your eyes, a snort almost leaving your mouth. "Oh please, you're just saying that because of all the rumors. I've been watching, but he seems like a sweet kid, just misunderstood. And I can't even imagine him having the ability to hurt an ant, moreover being able to kill three girls."

"Murders and psychopath don't seem like they could hurt or kill someone. But they do, and that's why it's so hard for them to get caught for their crimes," Yoongi grumbled, sending you a judging look.

He wasn't wrong. Serial Killer's were hard to catch because they frequently didn't look like criminals. Appearance often played a significant role, tricking many of the police who weren't specially trained to find the smallest clues left, they oftentimes let the killers slip between their fingertips. And the worst type of murders was when they had a high IQ, which made things one hundred times more complicated because they could charm their way out of trouble. But as much as you hated it, those were usually the cases that were sent towards your team's way because they needed closure.

"True, but my instinct tells me otherwise," you muttered to yourself, closing your eyes as you fell back, your head landing on your pillow.

Something was telling you that Bae Jinyoung wasn't the murderer, and you tended to trust your gut feeling because it has saved you a countless of times in the past. It hasn't let you down yet, so you were planning on trusting it until it does.

Which hopefully won't be any time soon.

"Then, Kang Daniel. That womanizer has had a connection with every girl that has been killed before, right?" Yoongi comment, pulling out a file on his computer, a picture of the young male popping up on the screen.

You snorted, slightly lifting your head up to give your partner a bemused smile. "Are you going to start naming every single guy we've encountered? You know we still don't know if the killer even is a male," you comment before relaxing back down, stretching your limbs.

"Thinking realistically, I believe the killer is a male. Being a female, it'll be harder to take someone down. And seeing as one of the victims, Chou was pretty tall, the killer should be strong enough to move her," Yoongi grumbled as he took off his glasses, rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"But there's also chance that the killer is a jealous female. We've both gathered information that the three girls that have been killed were quite popular and were high up in the school's hierarchy. And we've already experienced how vicious these girls can be, killing is always possible," you point, a yawn escaping your lips as you climbed under the covers. You were too tired even to finish your now cold, formally hot chocolate. Now it was just chocolate milk.

Yoongi's eyes softened as he saw your drowsy eyes. His swirly chair creaked as he stood up, slowly walking to your bed. You watched him, your eyes half-lidded. Eventually, they closed as Yoongi placed a warm hand on your forehead, pushing your hair out of your face.

"Aish, you've barely been resting, you need to take care of your body more. Go to sleep Pabo, I'll do a bit more research for the both of us," Yoongi's grumbled as he leaned forward, placing a lingering kiss on your exposed forehead. You couldn't help the curl of your lips, enjoying his touch on your skin. You have to admit, you missed getting to touch him openly even if you were the one who decided to place the temporary band of affectionate touches between the two of you.

As you closed your eyes, sinking deeper into the comforter, you suddenly recalled a piece of information you had to tell Yoongi.

"I'm waking up early in the morning to go pick flowers with Jihoon so you can just sleep in. I'll meet you in homeroom..." You mumbled, your voice coming out huskier than usual.

Yoongi grumbled under his breath, an annoyed expression spreading across his face. "I don't trust that flower brat either."

You snorted, rolling your eyes.

Typical Yoongi.

You were comfortable in your well-worn sweats, your favorite silk long sleeve shirt you wore to sleep adorning your upper body as you walked out to the garden. You were, however, smart enough to wear your rain boots, the wet grass and mud underneath you squelching at each step you took.

You slightly regretted that you had to wake up this early. The clock was barely reading 5 o'clock in the morning. However, you pushed the thought away as you looked up.

The top of the horizon was still a dark blue, however, the sun was beginning to peak out, the hue of orange and yellow starting to spread across.

Jihoon seemed to spot you first, waving his arm over his head to call you over. The young boy isn't wearing his usual uniform, old denim and a black shirt hugging his frame.

"Good morning, Jihoon," you yawned, covering your mouth with a hand as a large one took over.

The younger boy laughed at your expression. "Good morning Y/N Noona. Glad you could make it. I'm surprised you did, to be honest, seeing as how tired you looked yesterday," Jihoon good-heartedly joked as he picked up a bucket and handing it to you. You peered inside, eyeing the garden scissors and gloves inside.

You stretch, your arms spreading over your head as a high pitched groan left your mouth, your back cracking in satisfaction. "Alrighty. Let's do this, we don't want to be late for homeroom."

Jihoon is patient as he explains how to harvest the flowers in a way that damages them the least.

"That's the pink, red, and white camelia. Sometimes I'll get a hybrid that's a mixture of red and white if they cross-pollinate. They're really beautiful, and they look like red paint or blood got splattered onto white petals," Jihoon comments as he twirls one flower from the step.

His words make you freeze for a moment, the picture of one of the victims, Tzuyu Chou's crime scene popping into your head. You swallow thickly and nod, placing a perfected smile on your face as you motioned for the younger boy to continue explaining.

"And oh, that flower you're touching is one of my favorite. The white and yellow daffodils, their scientific name is narcissus," Jihoon explained as he placed his scissors on the stem, motioning where to cut. "There's Greek mythology about this flower by the way. Narcissus was a hunter who fell in love with his own reflection. And he stared at his reflection until he died and became a flower. He's supposedly also the origin of the term narcissism."

The boy handed you the beautiful flower, his cheeks tinting pink. "Although these are pretty, I still think you're prettier Noona," he muttered, avoiding your gaze.

You were astonished by his little compliment, not being able to hold in the small chuckle.

"That's sweet of you, thank you Jihoonie," you cooed as your finger gently pet the yellow petals, the drop of morning dew landing on your digit.

Jihoon watched the scene in awe, his mind thinking you looked like a fae surrounded by flowers.

"A-Alright! Let's go harvest some lotus flowers by Toad Pond, and we should be good. We've got enough flowers for me to practice for now!" Jihoon stuttered, his movement slightly rigid as he moved to lead you to the pond he had mentioned the other day as well.

You watched him in amusement, finding his embarrassment quite cute. He really just acted like a little boy. At this point, you couldn't even consider him a man. He had few more years to grow and mature in your eyes.

He demonstrated how to cut the lotus stem before the two of you went separate ways.

You hummed to yourself, quite in a good mood. The air around you was crisp and fresh, and your body felt light because you were moving first thing in the morning.

You grinned in victory as you spotted an area thick with lotus flowers. Jihoon was on the opposite side of you, the younger boy waving and pointing to the flowers in front of you with a smile.

The lotus flowers were beautiful, some of them already fully bloomed, the pale pink petals covered in morning dew that glistened as it reflected the sunlight.

However, your eyes didn't stay on the beautiful piece of nature for long, catching an unnatural colored cloth floating in the water. Your eyebrows furrowed, your eyes squinting as you leaned forward, trying to see what it is.

"A-AHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Your head shot up in shock as you heard the scream. Jihoon who had been standing on the other side of the pond was on the ground, his face pale as he as he pointed at something behind a bush of water plants. However, you couldn't see what he was looking at from where you stood.

Dropping the bucket and everything you had in hand, you rushed over to the male, crouching onto your knee as you placed your hands on his shoulder, trying to calm the hyperventilating man.

"Y-Y/N Noona. T-That— I-It's a... a b-body!!!"

Your eyes widened and followed where the boy's shaky finger pointed at in shock. You swallowed, cursing under your breath, your eyes filling with anger at what you were witnessing.

Cupping the frightened boy's face in your hands, you forced him to look into your eyes, placing your own body in front of him to block the sight from his view. You calmly smile at him as you instruct Jihoon what to do. "Run to get a teacher or adult. I'll stay here and call 1-1-9. Don't tell anyone else, do you understand me? Go straight to an adult and get help and come back."

The boy shakily got up to his feet with your help, his eyes tearing up as he nodded not being able to form proper words before he ran off to get help.

As soon as Jihoon was gone, your eyes move back to the scene, your lips thinning to a straight line.

Shit...

The body that was half submerged was hidden behind a bush from where you had previously stood. From what you can tell, the female wore a thin nightdress that floated around her. Her hand that floated in the water moved with the movement of water as if it was waving at someone, silently crying out for help to be found by somebody.

Not looking away from the scene, you immediately press your phone to your ear, calling the speed dial. It doesn't even ring twice when the receptor picks up.

"Y/N Noona, what's up! I thought—"

"Kook, grab Namjoon for me immediately we've found another body."

The man on the line didn't say anything, but you can hear him running as he listened to your words. You didn't have to explain yourself because he knew about the assignment you were assigned to along with Yoongi.

Moments later, you could hear him speaking but couldn't comprehend what he exactly said because it was mumbled. However, you knew he was talking to your leader.

"Hello, Y/N?"

Hearing Namjoon voice, you felt your throat tightened as one of your hand curled into a tight fist. "Namjoon, I need orders. I've found a body floating in the water. I'm sending you pictures." You spit out, your eyes not leaving the body that didn't even look real.

It doesn't even take you a second to send the image to Namjoon. You can hear the ping of his phone and his low curse as he took in the pictures you sent him.

"I'll send Jungkook and Taehyung along with our team right now. Seokjin isn't available at the moment because he's in the lab doing an autopsy for the other bodies looking for clues. They'll replace him and pretend to be the coroner for now. I want you capturing few more photos and send them over to me. I permit you to retrieve the body. Let me know if you can identify who it is."

You grunt in response before ending the call. You drop your phone to the grassy ground before taking off your shoes, your toes curling as they touch the icy cold water.

With your teeth gritted, you paddle your way through the water, pushing away the giant lily pads as your arm hooked around the body's waist and dragging it to land. You held back a wince, feeling the skin that was deathly cold to the touch.

She's been gone for a while.

"Oh my god," you look up and see the horrified looks of adults who finally arrived at the scene brought by a panting Jihoon. They're frozen where they stood as they watch you drag the limp body, kneeling beside it.

The principal looked pale to the face, his eyes seeming to bulge out of his head. Beside him are the other teachers who look equally as sick.

You grunt, your ears ringing as Nurse Ahn released a scream, falling into the P.E. teachers arms.

"I've already called 1-1-9. They should be arriving soon," you stoically grit out, your clothes sticking to you like a second skin as you kneel beside the body, your sweats heavy from soaking up water and covered in mud and grass.

Placing your fingers on her carotid pulse, you feel for it although you know you won't pick up or feel anything. You shake your head to emphasize your point, before getting up to your feet.

"She's gone...."

You stare down at the female's body, your eyes zoning onto the pale familiar face, her hair sticking onto her forehead and cheeks.

You're quick to evaluate everything. The body... it's extremely unusual....

The skin should be beginning to turn purple and waxy after thirty minutes after death. But you couldn't see that. And because she was submerged underwater, her skin should begin to absorb the water as decomposition starts.

What is going on...? It's not adding up, and you couldn't understand what the hell happened.

"Y/N!"

You look up as your name is called, snapping out of your thought. Yoongi stands there, his chest rising and falling roughly. He's already wearing his school uniform, his wig and makeup surprisingly done.

Namjoon or Jungkook must have notified him.

He eyed your wet form in concern before looking down at the body at your feet, his eyes narrowing as his expression hardened.

A crowd begins to form, students beginning to gather to see what was happening. Teachers are quick to act, yelling at students to get back to class.

However, many of them ignore the yells, standing on their toes to catch a glimpse of the body.

"No...! No...! This can't be happening.... No!" Your head snaps up as you hear hysteric screams.

Pushing the crowd out of his way, Guanlin runs to the scene, collapsing next to the body of his sister, his hands gripping her limp shoulders.

"Nayeonnie..... NAYEON NOONA, NO! THIS IS A LIE, YOU'RE NOT DEAD! THIS IS A JOKE!" The boy sobbed as he fell to his knees, his whole body spazzing as he shook his head as if he was trying to deny what he was witnessing.

You gritted your teeth and force yourself to look away from the scene in guilt and anger. The fourth victim.... it could have been prevented.... but...

Yoongi moved to place a hand on your shoulder. But before he could, a form appeared behind you, gently setting a jacket over your shivering, wet form.

"Y/N-ssi you're soaking wet..." Yoongi's eyes narrowed on the class president who placed an arm around your shoulder, pulling you away from the body of Nayeon, using his own larger form to shield you away from the scene.

Yoongi wanted to push the glassed male away from your form so badly. However, with the teachers ushering him to leave with the rest of the students he could do nothing as he was forced to return back to class to attend homeroom.

Sungwoon who had placed his jacket around you helped you sit down on the grass, his arms hooking around your waist as he wrapped his school blazer tighter around your body. You didn't need his affection to be truly honest, but you needed to keep up the act of a regular high school student, so you leaned into him and let fake sobs escape your mouth, tear running out of your eyes.

Guanlin's screams have quieted down as well, teachers prying him away from the body of Nayeon. The poor boy now sat few feet away from you, his eyes teary and dazed, obviously going into shock.

To everyone around you, it felt like hours passed, but you knew it was only ten or so minutes. Sungwoon still sat next to you, his hand rubbing soothing circles on your back as if he hoped that would calm you.

"Excuse me miss, we would like to talk to you."

Hearing the familiar voice, you lift your head to meet eyes with two males who towered over you.

Jungkook's round orbs glinted mischievously, but he kept his act up, a deep frown on his face. He was about to raise an eyebrow at you as he saw the arm wrapped around your shoulder but he held himself back, promising himself that he'll question you later.

"We would like to hear some testimony and information from you as one of the first people to find the body," Taehyung who wore the matching uniform with Jungkook spoke up as he offered you a hand, helping you stand up. His hands felt warm compared to yours, and he discretely gave it two squeezes as if he was asking if you were okay.

"I can come to—" Sungwoon was cut off with the looks Jungkook and Taehyung sent him.

Jungkook coughed as he stood before Sungwoon who was also up onto his feet. Jungkook blocked the class president's view of you with his own body, his back straight so he was at his full height. "I'm sorry, young man. But this is going to have to be private. Please return to your class while we talk to this young lady," Jungkook sternly spoke, his voice seeming a few octaves lower than usual to make himself look more threatening. It didn't help that Jungkook was taller than Sungwoon.

Your cheek twitches as you held back a smile hearing Jungkook call you a young lady when he's much younger than you.

Sungwoon didn't seem to look pleased, obviously wanting to argue. However, with another glare from your younger friend he backs down.

Taehyung gently placed his hand on the middle of your back as he leads you away from the scene. However, you take one last glimpse of where you dragged Nayeon to, seeing that a white cloth already covered the body, the familiar staff of BigHit preparing to move the corpse while checking for anything unusual left in the area.

When the three of you are finally away from prying eyes in a secluded room one of the teachers had prepared, you released the long breath you were holding.

You shiver as the wet clothes stick to your skin, the blazer Sungwoon wrapped around you doing nothing to keep in the body heat.

"Y/N Noona!" Jungkook grins as he wraps his arms around you, not seeming to care that he was risking himself of getting wet as well. He dropped his act of a cop as well, his threatening attitude disappearing, replaced with the sweet boy you know.  He smells like the women perfume he loves, and although it is quite feminine, it soothes your erratic heart, the clean, crisp smell making you melt.

"My baby bunny, I missed you," you cooed as you hug him back, the male flashing the adorable front teeth smile that makes him look younger than his age.

Taehyung pouts at the scene, but patiently waits with his arm spread over. As soon as Jungkook lets you go, you walk into his open arms, wrapping your own around his waist.

"TaeTae, my puppy," you giggle, pressing your cheek into his well-built chest, feeling the vibration as he laughs.

All the older boys always complained that you spoiled Maknae line. And you weren't even going to deny it. It didn't matter that all of them knew how to disassemble and kill a person 1000 ways. They would always be considered your cute little children that you adored and helped raise along with Jin.

"Looks like you're having one hell of a morning, Noona. It's good to hear from you, by the way, I've was beginning to miss hearing your voice from the intercom every morning to wake us up," Taehyung comments as he lets you go, flashing you a rectangular smile that makes you melt.

"I missed you all too. I'm starting to feel like I'm gonna get moody getting stuck with Yoongi all of the time," you joke with a smile. However, your smile doesn't reach your eyes, the younger boys being able to see it.

Taehyung opened his mouth to say something, but before he could the door opened, all three of your heads moving to eye the 'female' who walked in. Jungkook and Taehyung both spluttered a choke, their face becoming red, the later trying to cover his laugh with his hand. The former, on the other hand, laughed loudly with his head thrown back, clapping like a seal.

Yoongi's eye twitched, obviously bemused with the reaction the younger males were having. However, he didn't comment, only eyeing you as he approached your form with his expression stoic.

You swallowed nervously, not liking the gleam in his dark orbs.

"Yoo-" you spluttered as a towel was thrown into your face, blocking your vision temporary.

When you pulled it off your face, Yoongi was pulling out your uniform from his bag, placing them on the table for you. You're slightly impressed as you see your underwears also hidden between the uniforms.

"Hurry and dry off, Y/n."

You eyed the man nervously at his simple words, your boyfriend not even looking at you anymore. Taehyung and Jungkook also shared concerned eye contact, looking between you and Yoongi. Jungkook raised a questioning eyebrow at you, mouthing, 'what happened?'

So the boys also thought Yoongi was acting rather cold... It was nice how he brought you a towel and clothes to change into but... The male wouldn't even make eye contact with you.

Taehyung decided to lighten the mood although it might cost him his life. "So Hyung, you look very beautiful," Taehyung teasingly began, his deep voice filling with mischief.

Yoongi doesn't even look at him as he throws Taehyung a knife that embeds into the wall next to the male's head. "Say one more word, and I'll be throwing another, and it won't be missing this time."

Taehyung good-heartedly laughs, already used to Yoongi's empty threats. He casually pulls the knife out of the wall before dropping it into Yoongi's waiting hand.

During their distraction, you quickly changed with the help of the towel, pulling your baggy sweater over your head, almost completely dry except the bottom of your hair. With your towel wrapped around your neck, you sighed, rubbing your forehead with your fingers.

"Don't you have to go to class?" You questioned Yoongi, who is now seated in one of the chairs in the room, his legs spread wide, nothing about him seeming lady like except his clothes and hair.

Yoongi played with the necklace that was his voice changer around his neck, eyeing you with his eyes blank.

"Do you really think they'll continue having class when they've found a body? It's canceled for today, and all students are required to stay in the rooms," the male explains, his tone slightly snarky, making your eyes narrow on him.

During this time, Taehyung and Jungkook were setting up a laptop they had brought, connecting it to a call.

"I was waiting for you guys to call."

You and Yoongi broke eye contact with each other as you heard the familiar voice of Namjoon. You could see your leader's stern expression from the screen of the laptop, concerned lines appearing on his forehead.

All of you share a nod of acknowledgment with the man on the screen before he began. "Have you identified who it was?"

You nod grimly as you say down as well, all of you creating a half circle around the table. "Im Nayeon, a Junior."

Namjoon sighed as he rubbed his face with his hand, obviously looking exhausted. "And was there anything you found out? Anything unusual? And perhaps have you found out who may be the culprit or even some clue?"

You felt your stomach drop as you looked down at your hand.

"We still haven't identified the killer. But we've been gathering information about the deaths of the girls. It seems like everyone avoids the topic like the plague," Yoongi speaks up, his expression stoic.

"Is there a possibility that there are multiple killers?" Jungkook comments as he props his feet on the table, stretching his long legs out.

You're quick to shake your head. "I don't think so." Hearing you speak up, all six eyes turn to you, eager to listen to what you'll share.

You pull out your phone, opening the pictures you've taken, while politely asking Namjoon to pull out three more photos from the three other deaths.

"Jin-Oppa send me a message that said that embalming fluids had been found in the three bodies so far. And I'm going to assume Nayeon's body is going to have some as well," you begin as you zoom into the photo that captured Nayeon's body. The boys beside you look over our shoulder to see what you're pointing out.

"The body was already beginning to stiffen, but I couldn't see any decomposition happening. Although it's possible that the temperature of the water slowed it down, I should see some kind of change which makes me think that embalming liquid was used. And the body, it almost seemed too perfect, I couldn't identify anything wrong with it. Which brings me back to the three other deaths, all of them were nearly injury free," your eyebrows furrow as you point your finger at Nayeon's exposed skin. "Another thing is that I don't think she was in the water for too long. When a body is inside water, it should begin to soak in the water, making the skin and tissue soft. Her body wasn't at that stage yet."

A silence falls over all of you, all of you thinking about the numerous amount of possibilities.

"Anyhow, Yoongi, Y/N. Please continue your investigation and don't hesitate to call if you need something. I want the killer being caught," Namjoon grumbled, obviously worried about this case. "This killer is smart, I can feel it. So please, both of you be cautious and careful," Namjoon warned, making both you and your partner nod.

Yoongi doesn't say much as he stands up, sending the two boys with you and Namjoon a nod of acknowledgment before slipping out of the room. Without even looking at you, you must add.

"What the fuck?" You hiss, your eyes wide as you look at Jungkook and Taehyung in disbelief. "Did you see that asshole? He just ignored me!" You cried, throwing your hands in the air dramatically.

"Uh-oh. What did you do now, Y/N-Noona?" Jungkook questioned, his eyes shining mischievously.

You groaned and smacked your head to the table, "nothing," you grumbled, your words getting muffled because your cheeks were pressed to the cold surface of the table.

You heard the two boys beside you chuckle at your confusion. However, they straightened up as they heard Namjoon's voice.

"Taehyung, Jungkook. Good job. I've just received a message that the body was brought back to the labs. You guys are both dismissed and can return back to the quar—" Namjoon pauses as he sees the pout the younger boys send him.

Both Jungkook and Taehyung have their eyes widened as they stare at their leader with a heartbroken expression.

Namjoon stares at them for a moment, a look of conflict appearing on his face. Eventually, he groans and shakes his head, "fine. I know you two have been missing Y/N Noona. I'm only allowing you to stay with her for the rest of today because you both have already completed your jobs for the rest of the day. I'm not responsible when Jimin complains and gets mad at the two of you. God knows he will when he finds out that you've stayed with Noona for the whole day since he's been whining as much as the two of you."

At this, Taehyung and Jungkook shared a high-five, bright smile spread across his face.

You, on the other hand, frowned as you heard how Jimin has been doing.

"Aw, Joonie, make sure to tell Jiminie I love him and miss him as well," you cooed, imagining the younger male with soft round cheeks. Last time you saw him, he had blonde hair that made him look even more angelic and innocent.

Your leader grumbled before he ended the call, making the screen return to a black background. As soon as he was gone, all three of you relaxed, the boys grinning at your form.

However, their expression didn't last long as Jungkook sent you a concerned frown. "But seriously, what's up with Yoongi-hyung? Did you guys fight?"

You scowled and shook your head, "last time I checked we didn't," you sighed, running your hand through your hair in frustration. You seriously had no idea why Yoongi was acting so cold. But he couldn't have been that pissed because he brought you a change of clothes after seeing you for a brief moment. He cared enough to make sure you were dried so that you wouldn't get sick.

While you're deep in thought, Jungkook and Taehyung share knowing looks, shaking their heads. They had seen and recognized the older man's looks. You, on the other hand, didn't see Yoongi's expression, so you were clueless.

"Noona, you need to—"

You raised your hand, cutting off Taehyung who was speaking, "sorry boys, I'm gonna have to go. Even if Namjoon gave you guys off for the rest of the day, I can't, especially since I really need to gather info. I can't keep you guys company, so I need you guys to leave so—" you stress, your eyebrows furrowing.

"Yeah, yeah, we'll leave," Jungkook pouted childishly as he nudged Taehyung, "come on, hyung. She doesn't love us enough. Let's just go home and play fortnite where we can enjoy each other's company since she doesn't appreciate ours."

You rolled your eyes as the two boys began to complain, trying to guilt trip you. You, however, didn't fall into their trap and lightly smacked the back of their heads with mild annoyance. Eventually, they left you after giving you hugs, promising to see each other soon and reluctantly making you promise to them to treat them for KBBQ. KBBQ that wasn't those cheap, all you can eat place much to your dismay.

It was eerie how the hallways were so empty, the building completely silent because of the absence of the students. You, however, continued to trek forward, your feet carrying you absentmindedly.

"Hey!" You paused, turning around to face the Gym teacher who eyed you angrily. "What are you doing out of your room, Y/L/N? All students should be on lockdown until further instruction!" The tall man questioned as he eyed you with narrowed eyes. The skin around his eyes and mouth wrinkled as he frowned at you disapprovingly.

You feel irritated for a second that your plan of sneaking around to find some clue of the murders got interrupted. However, you make sure that your expression doesn't change drastically, repeating some sentences in your head.

The lie you had already planned ahead for the time you got interrogated by a teacher quickly escaped your lips before you forgot. Shaking your head, you timidly looked into the man's dark eyes, "I can't stay in my room! I—I..... it's too quiet, and there's nothing to do.... The.... the image of what happened this morning keeps popping into my head...." You make your voice waver as you clutched your hair, your eyes quickly tearing up.

The Gym teacher's eyes widened, a look of panic appearing in his eyes as he saw the tears begin to overflow. His mouth opened and closed like a gaping fish, not seeming to know what to say to you at that moment.

"Please.... Just let me walk around... I—I need to do something to keep myself distracted... I can't stay in my room in the silence, or I think I'm going to go insane," you whimpered, looking down and making your mane of hair cover your face like a curtain.

For few seconds, your teacher couldn't reply. You became a bit concerned, thinking your acting had failed. However, that thought was quickly discarded as you felt a hand be placed on your shoulder.

"I'm sorry for what you saw Y/L/N. I know it was a traumatic experience, the other two also asked similar requests so I'm sure I can arrange something," the Gym teacher sighed as he moved his hand to the walkie-talkie hooked onto his waist belt.

You were confused for a moment, not understanding what he was talking about. Other two....?

"Lai Guanlin and Park Jihoon have also asked for permission to stay out of their rooms. They're having the similar problem as you. They've been granted permission to go out to keep distracted, " the man explained as he spoke into his device. "Kwon here at north wing. I found Y/L/N Y/N wandering around. I'm giving her permission to do so for the same reasoning as the other two."

Seconds later, you heard static responses from different voices, some you recognizing as your other teachers'. It doesn't take long for Kwon, the gym teacher nod at you, motioning that you're cleared to go.

Giving him an appreciative bow you scurried away, trying to create distance from him before he included you in a conversation you didn't want to deal with. However, just as you're about to turn the corner, he calls out to you, abruptly stopping you, much to your dismay.

"Y/L/N, if you need anyone to talk to Nurse Ahn also has a degree in counseling. I'm sure she'll be very helpful."

You try not to cringe, imaging the woman's brightly painted red lips and her predatory look. Haha, hell to the no. That was not even an option.

"Thank you for your concern, coach. I'm sure I'll be fine," you send the older gentlemen a tight-lipped smile before turning the corner, quickening your steps to get away. After moving into a different hallway, did you slow down.

Last time you weren't able to go to the Art Room because you had to hide with Jinyoung to avoid both Nayeon and Guanlin. Your fist curled into a fist as you thought about the two. Poor Nayeon and Guanlin... The boy losing his sister was probably a big shock to him. Perhaps you need to reach out to him for a conversation when you have a chance.

Now, your primary concern was the Art Room. It was closed down and became a restricted area for the students, apparently being used as a storage room for now. It wouldn't look good if you're caught inside it, so you have to make sure to be as discreet as possible, avoid getting seen.

You were confident that something, hopefully, a hint was left in the room that hadn't caught the police's eyes when the crime was first found. It frustrated you in a way. You understood the cops did their best, but they were often times lacking and not thorough enough to the point where they lose valuable evidence. It made you wonder why the higher-ups didn't assign your team, or at least some other team from the Agency this assignment earlier on when it happened. Maybe if they had, they would have been able to prevent the other girls' deaths and maybe find better hints to help with the capturing of the murderer.

You paused, your eyebrows furrowing as your ears picked up music. It was subtle, but you were sure it was a piano from the delicate notes. Pulling your bottom lip between your teeth, lightly biting the soft flesh, you weigh your option. You could continue going down the hall as planned to check the Art Room... But you were curious to see who was playing the instrument, especially since the building should be empty from students. Which made the possibility of either of the boys that Kwon had mentioned earlier was the one behind it.

Sending one last look at the hall that leads to the old Art Room, you turn the corner, listening carefully and following the piece that echoed down the empty, chilly hallways. You stopped in front of a closed door, the sound seeming to leak through even though it looked to be tightly shut.

Slowly, you turn the knob, opening the door, slipping through silently. Your eyes immediately land on the lone figure that sat in front of the piano. Although he was faced away from you, you recognized the lanky figure as Lai Guanlin, a boy you've only seen a handful of times, one of them being today when he cried as he held his dead sister's body. However, you were astonished as you noticed that the boy's shoulders seemed wider and confident, not even close to what you've seen from him. In the hallways, the boy's back was curled continuously, shrinking his height as if he was avoiding catching anyone's eyes.

But the male in front of you was bold as his fingers danced over the piano keys. The piece almost sounded angry, his fingers harsh as they pressed down on each note as if he was allowing his emotions to control him.

However, it didn't take you long to see that under the anger, the piece was also heart-wrenching. The once angry piece changed to delicate notes, the pace slowing, echoing through the room that you for the first time recognize was the music room. After a moment, you realize something, your eyes watering at what you witnessed. At first, you didn't see it, but after staring at Guanlin's back, you noticed his shoulders were shaking, choked sounds almost getting drowned by the piano.

As one tear runs down your cheek, you're quick to wipe it away with the back of your hand, erasing the evidence of you crying. You stand there silently, watching as Guanlin ended the piece with one sad note. With the piano no longer covering his sobs you could hear the boy sniffling, the sound making you swallow, your throat burning.

The young boy's body wracked with onslaughts of sobs, his hand moving to his face as fiercely rubbed at his eyes with his sleeve.

At that moment you take a step, the sound of your shoe's heel hitting the flooring making a soft clank.

Guanlin's shoulders stiffened as he whirled around, looking like a deer caught in headlights. His eyes seemed puffy from crying, the skin around them appear to be red from rubbing them.

He's quick to look away in embarrassment of getting caught crying.  But you paid no mind as you walked closer, not stopping until you were directly in front of him.

"I—"

"Guanlin, you know, crying doesn't mean you're weak," you softly speak, your eyes giving the younger boy a gentle stare, your lips shaping into a sad, sincere smile. You had to look up because he was tall. However, although he towered over you with his massive body, he looked like a lost child with his heartbroken expression.

It made you want to hug him.

And that's what you did.

The boy's lips quivered as if he was resisting his cries, his eyes welling up with tears that threatened to spill. However, he gave up, a choked whimper leaving his lips as soon as your arms wrapped around his chest.

He didn't know you well. Actually, he barely knew who you were. The only thing he really did know was that you were a transfer for the graduating senior class who had helped him yesterday when Rose decided to dump her drink and food over his head. But as he felt your arms tightly squeeze around his chest, he realized he knew one more thing about you.

You were kind, and it was the exact form of kindness he needed at that moment.

"Shhhhhh, it's okay...." You whispered as you pat the boy's back as he cried, clinging to your smaller form as his body quaked with each sob he released. You didn't flinch as you felt his fingers dig into your forearm. You didn't complain as the boy placed his forehead on your shoulder, effectively soaking the material of your sweater.

You just continued whispering assuring words as you rub gentle circles between his shoulder blades. You understood his pain.

Of course, you did. You went through the loss of a sibling as well, you knew how heart-wrenching it was. And you knew that there weren't many things you could do after it happens.

It was understandable to go into denial. It was one of the stages of grief and loss. You had also denied your younger brother's death when you had first learned about it. It soon turned into anger, which leads you to join the training of the recruits for BigHit.

You blamed yourself for being incompetent of protecting the little brother you loved.

If only you were stronger...

If only you were there....

If only...

If only....

All these 'if only' constantly ran through your head and it drove you insane and depressed. It nearly ate you away.

But one recruit stayed beside you. You wouldn't say he was affectionate and emphasized with you. But he stayed beside you, lending an ear if you just needed to let it out and perhaps even a shoulder when it was one of those really bad days, and you just had to let the waterworks do their job. That was really how your relationship with Yoongi had started. And in return, you did the same for him.

And after a while, you began to accept what had happened. You realized that you couldn't blame yourself. And you continued with life, only thinking about B/N a few times a year instead of him haunting your mind every second of the day.

And to get to this stage, it was important to just have someone being there with you. That was what you could do to help Guanlin. Sit with him and let him grieve.

You didn't know how many minutes passed. Maybe it was even hours. But you didn't mind, silently sitting on the piano bench you two had somehow reached. Humming quietly with your arms still wrapped around Guanlin, you mindlessly looked out the window, seeing the soft breeze making the branches of the trees sway.

Guanlin's body was no longer wracked with sobs; however, you could still hear him sniffling. You could imagine how exhausted he felt, his body nearly limp against yours. You do admit, he was quite heavy, but you weren't going to complain.

You couldn't blame him.

When you no longer heard anything come from the boy, you pulled away.

Guanlin looked slightly embarrassed, his eyes wandering around the room, landing on everything except your face. However, when he finally does look into your eyes, it feels as if he shouldn't be embarrassed because of how soft your features were as you gazed at him.

You flash a genuine smile as you reach forward, taking his hand and giving it a squeeze. "You okay, bud?" You questioned, your orbs filled with compassion.

The boy nods, pulling his bottom lip between his lip and nervously gnawing on it. Guanlin honestly doesn't know what to say. Like he first thought, he barely knew you. But you had already helped him twice, so he knew that you seemed like a good person.

But what kind of person would cry on someone's shoulder when they barely knew them?

Various of thought ran through the boy's mind, and you could almost understand what he was thinking as you watched his expression change every second.

You hold back a giggle and give the boy's hand another squeeze, pulling his attention back to yourself.

"Guanlin, I know we barely know each other, but you're welcome to talk to me, okay?" You begin, releasing a sigh before keeping your gaze with Guanlin, the younger boy's brown orbs widening a tad fraction. "Like I said before, it's okay to cry. Especially when you lose family, and you're grieving. I honestly say if crying makes you feel better, let it out, don't hold it in cause it's not healthy. And if you need someone to listen to what you have to say or lend you a shoulder, I'm always open. I'll happily lend you either of those," you smile brightly.

You were serious. You wanted to help this poor boy. And if lending something like an ear and a shoulder would help in any way, you wouldn't hesitate to do so.

Guanlin's cheeks flushed, but he gave you a small nod, looking down at his hand.

Your lips shaped into a tight smile before you leaned forward, pulling the boy that's not even an adult into a hug. Thankfully Guanlin doesn't reject your touch, accepting your embrace.

"T—Thank you, Y/N Noona..."

"Of course," you reply, pulling away and gently ruffling the boy's dark hair. Guanlin seemed to be self-conscious of his swollen face from crying, so you make sure not to keep eye contact with him for long, shifting your body, so you faced the piano.

"You play beautifully, by the way," you whispered, allowing your fingers to trace the black keys. They're cold against your fingertips, and you're tempted to press down onto one to hear it sing for you.

However you don't, knowing that you didn't have the talent to play the instruments. Actually, you were horrible at it. You had learned that you were hopeless after countless of times sitting beside Yoongi when you were given a break between your missions. Yoongi, on the other hand, was blessed, his fingers almost seeming to be made to play the instrument, almost as good as placing cuffs on criminal's wrists and killing if needed.

"Thank you..." Guanlin allowed himself to gaze at you, taking in your side view as your fingers danced across the piano keys. You seemed mesmerized by the instrument, but it didn't seem like you intended to play it.

He silently wondered how you knew. He didn't even need to ask to see that you were aware of his relationship with Nayeon. Your action had spoken louder than words.

At the same time, he realized most of the school probably knew by now. It was a small school, news and rumors spread fast.

He was almost positive that the information of him being Nayeon's biological younger brother had leaked out after his interrogation with some of the cops. And he was quick to assume you had heard that rumor too.

To be very honest, he felt better. Earlier, he had felt numb. He didn't want to accept that his only blood relative was dead. That was why he had locked himself in the music room, taking out the anger and sadness to the piano. He had played until his fingers and arms became numb. He couldn't even see the keys anymore with how much tears were overflowing his eyes. What he wasn't expecting was for you to suddenly appear in the room with him.

Yesterday, he had been shocked by you as you stopped Rose's bullying. No one stood up to the Queen Bee and her guards. But you had defended him.

You had already done enough for him.

But now, you had even lent your presence as well as your shoulder for him to cry on. He felt terrible as he eyed the wet patch on your sweater. He avoided looking at it, knowing if he did, he'd feel even more embarrassed. But he was thankful that you didn't seem to mind, not even gazing at it.

Perhaps you didn't even notice it.

You finally pull your attention away from the piano, looking at Guanlin. With a stretch you stand up, your lips shifting into an upturned crescent moon. "Come on Guanlin. It's getting late, you should eat and rest up, okay?"

The boy wanted to argue for a second, however, he just nods, silently getting up to his feet. He doesn't know what to say to you.

However, seeing his look you just smile, having an idea what he wanted to say to you. "Like I said yesterday as well, come talk to me anytime," you.

At that, Guanlin shows a small smile, bowing at you before he exits the room, leaving you in the silence by yourself.

You release a large breath, falling back onto the piano bench. You wince as your back hits the piano, the uncoordinated sound of the key that was accidentally pressed filling the room.

You close your eyes for a brief second, trying to organize your thought. You couldn't get emotional during your job. But seeing Guanlin like that really did take a troll out of you.

"I really need to find some clues...." You muttered to yourself as you opened your eyes. You needed to get your shit together, not only to stop more victims from emerging but preventing people from grieving as well.

.

You weren't sure if the door of the former Art Room would be unlocked, you hoped it wasn't. However, you were disappointed as the doorknob only jiggled. Truth be said, you weren't surprised. It wasn't unusual for the staff to lock this room, away from the public, especially since one of the students were found dead in there.

You silently praised yourself for bringing with you some wire, easily bending the malleable metal the way you want. It didn't take you too long to unlock the door because it was a standard lock which wasn't built in a complicated way. It was one of the very first skills you were taught when you began training years ago.

You made sure to close the door behind you as you slipped through, your eyes taking a while to adjust to the dark room. You were expecting boxes and unneeded furniture because you had heard it was turned into a storage room. However, that wasn't the case.

The windows were boarded down with wooden pieces, blocking any light from outside from peaking through, probably along with prying eyes.

The boxes and furniture were absent as well, the room almost completely bare except the built-in closet at the corner of the room. However, you paid no attention to those details, for now, your eyes zoning onto the middle of the room where a lone vase of pink flowers that were beginning to wilt and one bar of Hershey's chocolate was placed.

You eyed it in curiosity, slowly walking up to the vase, eyeing the variety of flowers that obviously have been there for a while. You were sure they were all quite beautiful at one point, however now they were beginning to shrivel up, the petals of the flowers all in various shades of pink losing some color, the outer edges turning brown.

You crouched down, leaning forward to have a better view of the items placed on the floor. You don't dare touch anything, only pulling out your phone, quickly snapping few photos so you can do some research later. You'll definitely have to look up these flowers later...

Your eyes then moved to the chocolate bar, quite confused on why it was placed there. It was standard Hershey's milk chocolate bar, but you just couldn't understand why it was placed beside the vase. Subconsciously, you run your fingers against the wooden floor, seeing that some parts were stained a dark brown. From your past assignments, you recognized them as blood that soaked into the wood flooring.

So this was where Chou Tzuyu was found with the flowers painted with pig blood...

You were surprised that they hadn't peeled the wood and replaced it. But seeing that it was spread throughout the room, you could understand in a way why they just locked this room up. Financially it may have been cheaper....

You stared down at the flooring, eyeing the stains that were indeed shaped into flowers in disgust. Why did the killer do this? Why did he glorify these girls death like this...? Why use pig blood to paint flowers? Why not just use paint? You were sure there used to be shelfful of them when this room was still the Art Room.

As you're thinking, you feel your heart rate accelerate as you hear the sound of the doorknob being jingled along with the sounds of keys. With wide eyes, you whirl around the room, desperately looking for a place to hide. The only place was the closet that's connected to the wall at the corner of the room.

You cringe as you enter the small space, silently telling yourself that the area was filthy with cobwebs. It's tight, but you fit in barely, closing the door as you tried to conceal your breathing and rapid heartbeat that pounded against your rib cage.

You swallow nervously, using the small air vent on the door to look outside. The space was small, and you couldn't see much, but it was enough for you to hear and see what's going on in the room. But there was no denying it was uncomfortable. Extremely.

You shifted, trying to adjust yourself to a position that was more comfortable for yourself. However, before you can completely change positions, you covered your mouth with your hand, stopping yourself from letting a sound escape as you recognized the figure who stepped into the room as they turned the light on.

Why was he here? How did he get inside, you made sure to lock the door... Does that mean he has the keys?

The familiar male held two items in his arm, a vase which was very much similar to the one on the floor and a small rectangular candy bar that was wrapped in a brown wrapper. You watched as you held your breath as the man exchanged the vase and the chocolate bar before sitting down where you were investigating moments ago.

He was silent, looking down at the vase of fresh flowers. You squint your eyes to see better but it's no use, the boy's face was blank. However, you were able to see his dark orbs swirling with emotion.

"I brought you some more flowers and your favorite chocolate bar, I know you love these ones...." The boy began speaking as he picked a flower, twirling the stem with his forefinger. "Someone else got killed today. It was Nayeon, she was in the same group as you, right, Tzuyu?"

Hearing the name of the female who died in this room, you confirmed that the male was probably imaging her as he spoke to himself. "I can't believe it's already been a month since you died... I miss you... I regret so many things. There were so many things we could have done. But out of them all I wish we made our relation public, I—"

The male didn't finish his sentence as the door opened, another figure slipping into the room.

His head snapped to the side as he jumped to his feet, his hands curling beside him as he faced the female who walked in with a look of boredom on her face.

You, yourself didn't know what to think. So many questions were running through your head. Listening to him, you realized he was probably in relation with Chou Tzuyu but...

"What are you doing here?" The male questioned her, his voice dripping with disgust that surprised you. You didn't expect that reaction from him. You've seen him interacting with the female multiple of times. You've never seen him like this...

"I followed after you when I saw you sneaking out. Really Daniel? You still come to this disgusting place? Huh, of course, you would, this was the place where you always came to see her. But she's already dead, just forget about her," Rose scowled, eyeing her finger in disgust after she touched the wall, her digit picking up a thick layer of dust.

Daniel looked away from the female, his eyes going back to the vase on the floor, "shut up..."

Rose rolled her eyes before looking down at the floor, eyeing the two items with annoyance. "Oh how sweet, look at you being romantic. Too bad she can't appreciate it because she's already six feet under and rotting away," the orange-haired teenager mocked as she stepped closer to the male until she was directly in front of him. She flashed him a sultry smile as she placed her hand on his chest, "why don't you hang out with someone who's warm and actually has blood running through her? What's the fun being in a room that someone died in?"

Daniel scowled as he shoved her hand away from him, looking disgusted at her touch. Rose obviously didn't like the rejection, snorting as she whirled around her leg connecting with the vase, spilling the water and the flowers onto the floor.

The male silently watched with his teeth gritted as she picked up the candy bar before it got wet, ripping opened the wrapper, taking a bite out of the sweet. Rose's face scrunched up as she spits it out onto the floor, making it land on the floor next to the ruined flowers. "Ugh, why did she even like these? No wonder she was fat," Rose scowled looking at the remaining bar with disgust.

You weren't sure how Daniel still contained his anger as the female continued to disrespect his late girlfriend, his eyes narrowing on his classmate. "Why do you have to be such a bitch Rose? Weren't you her best friend?"

Rose released a snort, crossing her arms over her chest. "Best friend?" She laughed in disbelief, "what the hell are you saying, Daniel? I've never ever even considered her a friend. She was an annoying brat who was using her Daddy's money to buy stuff for all of us. We were just using her."

If you hadn't thought that Rose was a bitch, now you evidently did. She was a fucking bitch.

Rose seemed to find Daniel's anger amusing as she played with a piece of her hair, a thoughtful look appearing on her face. "But aren't I lucky? Every time I begin to think someone is annoying they end up disappearing for me! Today Nayeon was found dead, and recently she was getting on my nerves trying to kiss ass to Seulgi and I. Maybe I have that ability to just kill off useless people with a thought. If that's the case I want the new transfer students gone, they've been getting on my nerve, especially Y/L/N," the female jokingly was saying these, but it made your stomach burn with anger.

How can she talk about a human life that was lost in such a way? Did it not weight anything to her?

And she wants you and Yoongi gone? Please, she wouldn't even be able to a single hair on your scalp before you had her on the ground in a chokehold.

"I would personally fucking kill you if I find out you had anything to do with Tzuyu death..." Daniel growled as he sends a piercing glare at Rose.

Rose seemed slightly surprised at the male's words. However, she was quick to recover, throwing her head back as she laughed loudly seeming indifferent. "Why would I want to kill her? She was my 'best friend' like you said. I still had some purses I wanted her to buy for me, and even if I did, you have no evidence to tell anyone," the female giggled as she threw the half-eaten chocolate bar to Daniel, it hit his chest before falling to the floor.

Daniel was literally shaking with anger as the female twirled around, mockingly wiggling her finger at the male. "Well, I should get going, I need to check to see if Mina has done the math homework I asked her to do. Talk to you later, handsome."

You silently watched from where you hid as Daniel began to clean up the mess Rose left. You didn't know the boy had this kind of side of him. You had thought that he was a flirty fuck boi with the way he interacted with the girls in the class. You also didn't expect him to actually have a lousy relationship with Rose seeing that the two were civilized in the classroom setting, the boy even hanging out with her group.

You hold back a flinch as the male suddenly chucks the vase to the wall in anger, the fragile glass shattering to pieces before dropping to the floor. His shoulders heaving as he breathes heavily. Destroying the vase doesn't seem to calm down his nerve in any way, it only fueled it even more. It doesn't take long for the boy to rush out of the room, leaving the mess scattered across the floor.

You only come out of the closet, your hiding place when you hear the door gets locked. You heave, coughing slightly, thankful that you were now breathing fresh air as you brush your clothes that are covered in dust. You scrunch your nose, holding in the sneeze that was threatening to spill.

There was no denying that what you had witnessed was interesting. You consider yourself lucky in a way, you had gotten useful information by listening to the conversation. However, you were also disappointed as you realized that the room was cleaned out since the discovery of the body and even if there had been clues left about Tzuyu's murder, it would have been long gone by now.

But now you had some things you had to dig up...

.

.

.

Yoongi found you sitting in front of the laptop typing away when he returned from dinner. The sight immediately made him frown, realizing you were still wearing the clothes he had brought you earlier that day.

You didn't even bother acknowledging his presence, making his eye twitch. You were clueless to his irritation, your face glowing because of the light of your screen. However, that didn't last long as a hand closed the laptop, making you look up for the first time in surprise and complaint.

"Wh—" you stop, your eyes widening a fraction as you realize for the first time Yoongi had returned to the room the two of you shared.

"Did you shower?"

Your eyebrows furrowed in confusion at Yoongi's words as well as the growl he used. You feel small under his dark gaze, the pale man before looking strikingly haunting with the way he stared down at you. He had gotten rid of his wig as soon as he stepped into the room, the makeup he had on already taken off as well. He no longer looked like Min Yoonji but your Min Yoongi, the surprisingly masculine man who was your boyfriend.

"W-What? Why are you asking me this, Yoongi? I have better things to do, and you won't guess what I found out toda-"

"So you're telling me that even after you entered a pond that's probably infested with bacteria and shit and you still haven't showered? It's been, what? Twelve hours or so since Im Nayeon's body was found?" Yoongi speaks slowly as if he's talking to a child, making you freeze as you realize he only spoke that way when he was pissed.

Why the fuck was he pissed?

Yoongi looks down at you with his jaw clenched, his lips pulled into a scowl, "Y/n, when was the last time you've eaten? Have you not eaten anything since last night?" The man questioned, staring into your face, carefully watching for any change of your expression.

At that moment you realized you did feel a gnawing emptiness in the pit of your stomach. You tried to think to the last time you consumed something, which made your face twist because you realized Yoongi was right. Yesterday nights dinner was the last time you even drank or ate something.

Seeing the realization in your eyes, Yoongi gritted his teeth and closed his eyes. "I can't fucking do this."

You look at the man in confusion not understanding his words. What did he mea-

"Have you looked yourself in the mirror, Y/N? You look like shit." Your mouth dropped open at Yoongi's blunt words, not expecting it to slap you right across the face.

You're about to defend yourself, but before you could, Yoongi continues. "You're getting fucking attached Y/N. And it's draining you. When was the last time you had a good night sleep? And don't you dare lie because I know you haven't with all the tossing and turning you do in your bed. These murders are literally driving you up the wall, and you yourself haven't even noticed it!" Yoongi begins his rant as he throws his hand up, "I'm watching as you hide those circles under your eyes with your concealer. I see you skipping out on eating, I see you sitting in front of the stupid computer for hours just gathering notes! I-"

"It's my fucking job! You should know that better than anyone else, Yoongi! This is your job as well!" You scream, cutting off the male. Your eyes are narrowed on him, your cheeks flushing at your outburst.

Yoongi's eyes hardened as he returns your glare, his usually pink lips turning pale as they thin. "I know it's my fucking job. But I'm not getting attached to it to the point that I'm risking my own health. I'm a professional that doesn't let my emotions get in the way."

His words felt like a jab straight to your heart. It hurt your pride. Fuck, it really did hurt your pride at what he hinted. He was implying you weren't being professional.

"What the fuck are you trying to say," you growled, standing up so you can adequately face the man in front of you, not willing to back down, especially when Yoongi was threatening your pride as an agent.

"You're getting emotional Y/N..." Yoongi's voice suddenly softened, the anger from earlier seeming to dissipate. The man released a sigh, running a frustrated hand through his locks of raven hair. "I see it in your eyes, you're letting your emotions control you. This is like any other job we had in the past, we can't let it control us if we want to complete this assignment. We need to find the killer, get him between bars and get out of here ASAP.  I know it's upsetting that these women are getting killed but-"

"That's the thing Yoongi! They're not even women yet! These are children, girls that have a long future ahead of them and they're getting killed by this psychopath! And we've been here for a while yet we haven't found a single thing that may link us back to the killer..." Your voice cracks near the end of your sentence, your eyes watering.

Yoongi's eyes soften as he steps forward, wrapping an arm around you and pressing your face to his shoulder.

"This is exactly what I mean... Your emotions are making you do things that are very unlike you....." The male mumbles as he places his lips on your temple. Yoongi knew how you were during missions. You always put one hundred percent to every assignment you are given, and you always did phenomenal in them. However, this case has been more complicated than what the two of you have been doing for the last couple of years.

He understood your point, he was also getting frustrated that neither of you has gotten any solid clues too. He knew that was one of the reasons why you were stressing, but at the same time, he also had an idea why it was making you emotional like this.

In the past assignments, you worked with the mafia and gang-related crimes, finding notorious serial killers, stopping illegal shipments, the list can go on forever. You even have dealt with human trafficking for very young children. But this was probably the first time you were working with crimes related to teenagers. And Yoongi knew teenagers were a touchy subject for you.

"Y/n, this is what I think..." Yoongi speaks gently as places his chin on your head. "You're getting emotional because these girls are around the same age as B/N when he was killed. You're overlapping the image of your brother with these girls... You can't do that, you need to have a clear mind or I can't trust you as my partner," Yoongi speaks although he knows his words are harsh.

He knew how much your brother's death affected you. However, he couldn't risk you or his safety if you became emotional and made risky decisions that could jeopardize this mission. He was almost tempted to send a message to Mr. Bang and Namjoon, requesting for them to pull you out from this mission and replace you with someone else if you didn't get your shit together.

"And if you really want to catch the killer, you need to take care of yourself first. What makes you think you can save someone else when you can't even look after yourself?" Yoongi questioned as he pulled away from you, using his sleeve to wipe your face, "and it makes me worried when you don't eat..." He weakly adds, his cheeks flushing slightly at what he admitted.

It was a habit you had that constantly worried Yoongi. It wasn't unusual for you to lose track of the things around you and not take care of yourself when it's related to work. Yoongi knew that first handily because he experienced it when you had gone undercover for a solo mission and didn't message him for a whole week, much to his horror. He was worried sick to the point where he threatened Namjoon to reveal your coordinates so he personally could make sure you were alive by flying over to where you were.

He didn't, thank god.

You laughed weakly and sniffled. You hated to admit it, but Yoongi was right. You usually didn't get emotional for missions. But this one was especially hard for you to not. And hearing Yoongi's explanation, it did make sense. If you really thought about it, you've brooded about B/N more time in the last few weeks than the time you spend as an agent for BigHit which was much longer than a handful of years.

"I'm sorry, Yoongi. I was at wrong..." You grumbled, irritated that Yoongi was right once again. Honestly, when was he ever not right? "I'll take care of myself more and concentrate on our mission..." You pushed your stupid pride to the side and apologized. However, at that moment, you remembered what had happened earlier that day between the two of you.

Okay, so you understand why Yoongi was mad at you. But that doesn't justify and explain the cold attitude he showed towards you when you were with Jungkook and Taehyung. Even the younger boys noticed it and questioned it. And this was the perfect timing to question it.

Yoongi's eyes widened, his mouth parting in surprise as you suddenly pushed him down, his body bouncing as it landed on his bed. His hands subconsciously moved to your waist as you sat on his stomach, looking down at him with a frown.

"Okay, now that you're no longer mad at me, can you explain the attitude you had today?" You questioned, raising an eyebrow up as you stared down at your man.

Yoongi doesn't even have to think hard to know what you mean. Of course, he knows, he had acted cold on purpose. However, he acts clueless as he frowns, narrowing his eyes at you. "I don't understand what you mean," he grumbles as his hand slide up under your shirt, feeling the soft skin of your hips with his palm.

You scoff, quickly seeing that he's lying with the certain way his dark eyes gleam. To add on, the way he was touching you obviously meant he was trying to distract you.

Oh, no he wasn't going to succeed. You were going to interrogate him until he spills the beans and tells you exactly what you want to hear.

Your hands grasp his, stopping their movement as you looked down at Yoongi with a frown.

"Don't you try to play sly, mister. I know exactly what you're trying to do. Now tell me, why were you so cold to me, your girlfriend today?" You questioned in amusement, making your voice few octaves higher than usual. You give your boyfriend a pout, which makes the said man roll his eyes, scrunching his nose in disgust.

"Ew, don't use aegyo on me, gross," Yoongi gagged making you laugh and shove him lightly. With that, the dark haired male breaks into a gummy smile that makes your stomach feel warm and fuzzy.

Yoongi quickly sits up, one of his arms lazily wrapped around your waist as he places his lips against your neck, giving the soft flesh teasing nibbles.

Oh, he really was trying to distract you now.

"Yoongi....." You whined, tugging the male off of you by grabbing his hair, gently pulling the soft dark strands.

Yoongi groaned as a scowl was placed on his face as he sent you a light glare. "You, woman, were the one being cold in the beginning making all those ridiculous rules of no skinship," the man pouts childishly making you break into a smile of victory.

"Ha! I knew you were acting cold! Now tell me why!" You demand, making faces at Yoongi.

In response Yoongi's cheeks flushed, a look of embarrassment spreading across his features. At first, he mumbles something. But it's barely audible, making you tilt your head to the side in confusion.

"What did you say?"

Yoongi repeats something, this time you being able to hear it better. You get the gist of it, but you're feeling mischievous, wanting to Yoongi to say it in a normal tone.

"Repeat that?"

Yoongi groans as he buries his face into your neck, his warm breath fanning against the skin making goosebumps rise on your arms.

"I said I don't like these brats hanging off of you. Especially that Sungwoon kid, having the nerve of offering you his jacket. And then there's the flower boy and fucking playboy. And I'm sure there's more...." Yoongi scowls, avoiding looking into your eyes.

You giggle at his childishness and cup his cheeks, giving him a teasing smile. "Aw, is my Yoongles being jealous of teenage boys....?" You cooed as you babyfied your voice.

The blush on Yoongi's cheeks gets more profound as he refuses to look at your face. "Shut up..."

"Awww, I love you, Yoongi. You know that!" You laugh as you cup both his cheeks with your palm, planting a kiss on his lips.

He immediately melts, one of his hand moving to the back of your head, tilting you in a way so he could deepen the kiss. He placed his forehead against yours as you both pulled away, his dark eyes giving you a questioning stare, the corner of his lips tilted up to a smirk.

"What happened to the ban of no physical contact with each other until the end of the mission?" Yoongi questioned slyly.

You groan before tilting your head, chasing after his lips, which he doesn't deny.

"Let's just forget about it for now?"

"Agreed."
