a random movie played on the television as the couple laid on couch. both eating a creamsicle, your legs tangled into his, your head on his chest.
it was a casual saturday afternoon, except you began to get bored.
"pete?"
he held the almost gone creamsicle by the stick in his hand as he answered. "yeah?"
"let's do something. let's go somewhere. i don't care where it is, or how we get there. let's just go," you spoke. peter looked down at you, you staring up at him from his chest.
"i kinda like it here on the couch."
you rolled your eyes at the boy, wishing he wasn't serious.
"c'mon, please? i'm super bored," you said, attempting to persuade him. he threw the popsicle stick in the trash can across the room and smiled. "fine. i'm only doing this because i love you."
you paused. this was the first time he'd told you that. "you do?"
he chuckled. "course, babe."
