Nandini's POV
Never had I expected someone will care for me so much, except Mukti.
But Manik, he proved me wrong, the next entire week he spent my asking apology in different ways.
Each way was better than the last one, my anger was long gone with his third apology, but I still kept showing fake anger.
None has done so much for me!
I don't know how to thank this man for coming into my life and making it so beautiful.
"Nandini." My trance breaks and I look up to see aunty coming towards me.
"Tum abhi takk kyu nahi gayi?" I frown and look at my watch.
Freaking hell! It's already 9.
"Wo.. wo.. I.. I was waiting for Manik and Mukti and didn't realise the time. Sorry aunty!" She smiles and cups my cheeks, "Arey it's okay beta. You don't have to be sorry for anything. You can stay as long as you want." My lips twich upwards forming a smile.
Her phone rings and she accepts the call, "Hello-."
"What? Why?"
"But-"
"Okay fine. I'll tell her."
She cuts the call and looks towards me, "Is everything okay aunty?"
"Wo Nandini, Manik wants you to go to his room." But why?
Nop! I won't talk to him.
"Kyu?"
"Pata nahi, he just asked me to send you to his room." Samajta kya hai ye ladka apne aap ko?
I huff in annoyance and nod my head to aunty before going upstairs and directly inside his room.
"Manik." Door open and no one's inside.
"Manik?" The entire room is empty, there's no sign of him being here.
"Ma-" What's this red box?
I pick it up and below it's written 'Only open if you're Nandini.'
What kind of prank is this now!?
I take it a little away, and open it.
Oh my God!
It's a very pretty peach dress.
He remembers!
I can't stop myself from smiling seeing the peach coloured piece of cloth in front of me.
With one hand I take the dress out letting it fall free and with the other one put the box back on the bed.
A blue note falls out it and I pick it back up, only to smile wider seeing the words on it 'I know you'll look beautiful in this, but still I want to see you with my own eyes.'
I turn the paper, 'Will you meet me at 10:30 where we first met?'
My cheeks heat up and blush finds it's way out.
"So answer him." I turn my head to the source of voice and see a smiling Mukti standing by the door.
"What?"
"The question in your hands, it needs an answer. So what's it?" I forrow my eyebrows in confusion, "How.. How.. do you know.. about the question?"
"I'm your best friend, I have to know these things." I glare at her, but the only thing she does is to laugh.
"Nandini Murthy, your Superstar a.k.a Manik Malhotra is taking you somewhere and he's waiting for an answer. So I think that's more important. So first pick your mobile and answer him." She crosses her arms. I know she wanted to distract me which she clearly did.
What should I answer? Or how?
"What should I say?" Panic starts building in the pit of my stomach.
"I can't answer that for you. You're the one who has to do that, so just write what your heart says." I close my eyes and take a deep breath closing my eyes.
I open them back and look at the black object in my hand, before looking at Mukti for the last time.
She gives me a thumbs up and I look back at my mobile.
Go for it Nandini!
I open his chat and reply the first thing that comes into my mind 'Sure. Why not? But, what's the occasion?'
In no time he replies 'You'll know that soon Star ;)'
Before I can reply, I receive another message from him 'I'll be waiting for you. :*'
No, he did not just send me a kiss emoji. I wish I could say that, because he just did.
My cheeks heat up and I know I'm blushing again.
"Okay, now that you've agreed, let's get you ready." I open my mouth but she cuts me "Before you ask me how do I know that, let me tell you, you're cheeks are in a tomato colour."
She comes forward and holds my hand, and with the other takes the dress with other dragging me down the stairs, "A car is waiting for us and we have to reach home as soon as we can, get you ready and send you to your Superstar."
I decide to stay shut and do as she says, because I know she'll never let me down.

"Aiyappa, please help me with this." I close my eyes and look up.
"Shona, can you stop getting nervous. You're looking absolutely stunning." I hope Manik thinks the same.
"Manik will say the same." I sigh not even getting surprised, because I know she can read my mind.
"Kitty, tell me I'll be alright and won't mess up anything." I really need her assurance, she's the only one who can calm me in these situations.
"Miss Nandini Murthy, I assure you that everything's going to be fine." She hugs me and I take no time to hug back.
Soon we part away, and giving a smile to each other, I sit in the back of the car.

After what seems like eternity, but in reality twenty mintues I'm standing in the exact place Manik had asked me to.
Nervousness and a little bit of fear is covering my features, because I can see nothing in this darkness.
Where is this guy? Manik, please come soon.
A click is heard on my left side and from the corner of the street until the other end, lights hanging on the top start shining one by one.
A star. A heart. A guitar. Headphones. These are the four shapes of those lights.
They look so beautiful. Their different kinds of colour lights are shining and making everything else look so bright in this half moon night.
"These are the things that made us meet." Manik.
"These are the ones that made us come together." I look around and try to find the source of the voice, but find no one.
"Made you think I'm your, and I quote, 'Your Superstar's humshakal.' Because why will he roam on such a lonely street." I can't help but chuckle remebering our first ever meet.
"You made me sing for you on the spot."
"You became my friend by accepting the job offer."
"You've taken care of me since so long not even once complaining. That's when you became my Star.
"You made who I am today Nandini." I instantly look towards the right side and there he is standing in all his glory.
White shirt along with black jeans, my all time favourite.
"Thank you so much for coming into my life and shine it with your bright white light." He keeps talking and coming towards me until he's standing just a feet away.
"All this time, I thought you're just my friend and my P.A. but never knew that is so wrong." I frown with a confused look.
"Yeah, I mean, I never realised I was falling for you." My eyes can give a tough competition to oranges right now.
"What!?" I manage to utter with shock evident in my voice.
"Yes Nandini, I, have fallen for you. And I want you to be my girlfriend. So, will you be mine?"
