Ellie POV
After the run in with the Wicked Witch of Kentucky aka my mother, I needed a day of fun and Brantley made it happen. I felt like a kid again when we went to the amusement park yesterday, then the trip to the clubhouse just made it even better. I hadn't seen most of them since before we moved to Athens, I used to always go down there with Cliff. It drove Dad crazy since the clubhouse was in the bad end of town, but what is more safer than being surrounded by a group of bikers. Leave it to my two cousins to give me the love of steel horses. We were meeting up with Melissa and her husband Derek and their girls RyAnn and Savannah later today then tonight she's taking the girls to her mom's and we are going to go watch a buddy of mine, Dustin Collins, who just signed with Average Joes Entertainment do a show. I know he will be in for a shock when he sees who's with me.
We get to Melissa's house probably about noon, when Brantley saw she lived on a teeny teeny circle with an island in the middle he got this confused look on his face like where the hell am I supposed to park this beast of a truck? We had PJ to drive the F250 up so if we wanted to go something and the weather didn't cooperating we had a extra ride.
"Just park on the side babe" I tell him, and he does then we get out and go knock on the door. Savannah, Melissa's six year old daughter answered, her eyes got wide and she was frozen when she seen Brantley.
"Savannah, who is it?" She called from the kitchen. "Mommy, I'm not sure, some big scary looking guy and a lady" she replied, still visibly scared. Around the corner walks Melissa, the minute she saw me, she screamed and gave me a huge hug. "Mommy, who are these people?" asked Savannah.
"I'm Ellie, I've known your Mommy since we were kids. I met you a few years ago, after your sister was born, but you don't remember me. And this is my boyfriend Brantley" I told her. She cocked her head to the side, looked up at him and said "you're cute". We all laughed. He squatted down to her level, stuck out his hand to shake hers and said, "why thank you darlin but I think you're beautiful." She leaped into his arms and gave him a bear hug, Melissa was shocked, Savannah was very shy but very boy crazy. "What am I gonna do with that girl?" She asked. We both laughed. He put Savannah down, she was all smiles and she turned and looked up at Melissa and said, "Mommy, I'm in love!" Then turned and walked back in the house. We all just shook our heads and laughed.
We decided to take the girls to the park after RyAnn woke up from her nap. Derek, Melissa's husband wouldn't be off work for a few hours. Brantley went ahead and put the girls car seats in the back seat of the truck while we caught up. "Ellie, he is gorgeous, I can't believe it! I knew he was hot, but you hit the jackpot! So dish, how is he in bed? With the size of those hands he has to be hung!"
"Lyssa! Oh my gosh I can't even! But he is phenomenal! The things he can do with his tongue can drive you mad. And yes, he's hung" I giggled.
"So, when's the wedding?"
"We haven't really set a date. I'm thinking sometime in the fall maybe spring. We are gonna have to keep it quiet because of the media, they don't even know another engagement yet."
"When y'all plan on telling them?"
"He was thinking Friday at the show. Speaking of y'all have passes waiting for you at will call."
"You know we wouldn't miss it! Have you seen your mom since you got back?"
"Me and her had words when she showed up at Dad's grave. PJ, his head of security almost had to get involved."
"You have got to be kidding! You know she tries to message me on Facebook asking about you, but I ignore her"
"Keep it that way. I know once she gets wind of the wedding she will be trying to find us and get money from us. She's not allowed around us in Athens, Cliff made that clear, and that's her own family!"
Brantley walked back in, kissed me on the head. "Ladies, your chariot awaits!" Melissa grabbed a still sleepy RyAnn and when she saw Brantley her lip quivered. For a three year old, she was tiny, but she was born at 26wks and spent six months in NICU and almost passed away many times, she was still going through Therapy for her preemie issues and the doctors aren't sure she will ever talk. Savannah all but demanded Brantley put her in her seat, and was upset she couldn't sit up front with him.
They decided to run by McDonald's for lunch then take the girls to the park for a bit. Savannah had Brantley running circles around the playground, I hadn't seen him with any kids other than the guys from the band and Eli and Ashley's kids, but seeing him with Savannah and RyAnn had my ovaries all but screaming. I knew I wanted kids, I pictured us with a little brown haired green eyed boy and a blonde haired blue eyed little girl.
"Earth to Ellie!" Melissa said, waving her hand in front of my face.
"Huh? What?" I replied shaking my head coming out of deep thought.
"What's got you off a million miles away?"
"Just thinking about babies, and how much I want one. Being around the girls, and the guys in the band's kids makes me want one of my own. I know he'd be a great dad. Just look at him with her, and she don't take to anyone."
"I know, he's her newest boyfriend." She laughed. And it was true, I knew he'd be all she could talk about. Melissa's phone rang, and it was Derek. He said he'd just meet us at the park since it was on his way home.
About fifteen minutes later Derek walked up, he literally almost lost it when he saw Brantley with Savannah. Melissa and I about died laughing when she ran over dragging Brantley by the hand when she saw her Daddy.
"Daddy, Daddy, meet my boyfriend!" She proclaimed excitedly. His eyes were about as big as saucers, Melissa and I tried to stifle our giggles.
"Who the fu—dge is this?"
"Bwantley"
"How do you know him baby girl?"
"He's Ellie's boyfriend too." You could see the relief on his face.
"Dude, why do you look so familiar?" Derek asked him.
"Babe, probably because you saw his face on the billboard on the side of 65 about thirty minutes ago."
"No effin way! Really? The Brantley Gilbert?"
"That's me man. Nice to meet ya" he said extending his hand to shake Derek's hand.
"Ellie, how'd you meet him?"
"Funny you should ask. I was at a party, Drew, the umm, friend with benefits was bugging the crap out of me for going to a party with Chase and not coming to the apt. So, I told him I was gonna find a hot biker and eff- their brains out. About that time B, Eli his friend, and Ben the drummer walked up. Kolby, Brantley's brother was standing back laughing. Drew wouldn't quit bugging me to come over, I was getting aggravated, so Brantley took the phone from my hand, and not in so many words told him she found the hot biker and to leave me alone. Been together since. And no, nothing happened that night."
"For the record, Drew is a pansy ass." Brantley interjected.
"Ellie, you have always been a wild card, for a private school girl, who was always so quiet. But they always say, it's the quiet ones you gotta watch out for" Derek replied. I punched him in the arm playfully.
"What's that supposed to mean? Has Melissa been telling you all of OUR secrets?" I replied.
"A best friend never discloses pertinent secrets, but we did raise some hell when you came back over the summers" she replied zipping her lips. And boy did we.
We let the girls play for a bit longer, then Derek took the girls to Melissa's mom's house and Brantley drove us back to her house. I had packed extra clothes for the show tonight in my bag, so when we got back to her house I changed.
I decided on a black lace dress and jade green jewelry with brown boots. Melissa had a white lace dress with silver jewelry and gray boots. Brantley of course had the black jeans, shirt, backwards hat. The man was sex on a stick.
We all got to Baxter's and Dustin saw me and motioned for us to come back by the stage. Brantley had met him briefly through Colt. The show got started, Dustin looked over at me and smiled. I had a feeling I knew what he was up to since Brantley and him were talking over in the corner for a bit.
"Guys, I gotta special treat for y'all tonight. I think y'all may have heard this song, It's called Kick it in the Sticks. But I'm gonna need some help, y'all sing along!" The music started, and everyone was dancing and singing along. When Dustin got to the end of the first chorus, I noticed B wasn't there, bout that time he comes bouncing from the side of the stage singing

They both finished the song out. The whole place was screaming. "Y'all give it up for Mr. Brantley Gilbert. And make sure y'all see him at Yum tomorrow. I have a feeling something big is gonna go down tomorrow night!" He said winking at me.
Melissa was fanning herself. "Girl he is amazing!" She said grinning from ear to ear. Brantley walked over to me and planted a kiss on my head.
"Any more surprises I should be aware of babe?" He shrugged, and replied "ehh maybe."
