-At Derry high -
"Thanks for waiting for me, Eddie." Richie said popping out of nowhere.
"uh, yeah, no problem Rich," Eddie said with a slight smile. "Uh listen, Richie, I might not be able to hang for a long time today. This AP Calc class is kicking my ass."
"No problem Eddieo-Spaghettio. I can help you though. I-If you want." Richie leaned over and put his arm around Eddie's shoulder and guided him outside.
"That's fucking hilarious." Eddie laughed.
"fine, but if you fail don't blame me."
The two walked down the sidewalk for fifteen minutes before arriving at Richie's house. As soon as they arrived there Richie looked nervous.
"Who's car is that?" Eddie asked Richie.
"That's, umm- that's Derrick's car." Richie was super confused, he knew for a fact that Derrick and he didn't have plans today, the last time they had plans they went bowling and then went to dinner.
"Just wait right here Eddie." Richie said placing his hands on both of Eddie's shoulders to keep him still. He turned to the driveway where Derrick's car was parked and just waited.
"What are you doing here!?" Richie scream-yelled and the man who was just the same height as him.
"I came over because you've been ignoring me," Derrick said. "And now I see why." He gestured to the slightly shorter boy standing near the white picket fence who looked uncomfortable.
"What are you talking about, I Haven't been ignoring you. And Eddie is just my friend."
"Oh really?" Derrick scoffed
"Yeah, he is straight, I think. And I'm gay. Why do you think you're my boyfriend?" Richie said walking towards Derrick slightly less mad.
"Boyfriend? Huh, I like the sound of that" the 22-year-old responded with a smirk.
"Good, now, I'll call you later but I have to help Eddie with his calc homework." Richie said giving him a kiss on the lips and making hand movements for Derrick to leave.
"Yeah, okay. I'm sorry, truly. Bye." And with that Derrick got in his car and drove away leaving Richie and his crush to spend time together.
"I'm really sorry about that Eddie." Richie spoke through the uncomfortable silence
"So, that's your Boyfriend?" Eddie looked up at Richie. "He seems like a douche."
"Hey. He was just worried, anyway, it's kinda my fault. We haven't really talked in a while."
"Yeah, whatever."
"Okay, so what do you wanna do?" Richie said walking into his front door and dropping everything.
"You're a slob, Richie."
"I know." Richie said giving Eddie a smirk. "Do you want something to eat? We have apples, oranges, cheese, ooo we have Doritos and salt and vinegar chips." Richie started walking all over the kitchen looking for food and decided to pull out the salt and vinegar chips.
"Salt and vinegar chips," Eddie said.
"Yup. already done been got."
"Richie, that literally makes no sense."
"It makes perfect sense, Now come on let's go to my room," Richie said seductively, then mentally cursed himself for making it sound so seductive.
"uh, okay."
"Eddie!" Richie shouted, but he didn't mean to shout, he just meant to say his name.
"What?"
"N-N-Nothing, nevermind." Fuck, I look like an asshole. All i wanted to do was say he looked nice today, could i do that? nooo. stupid stupid mouth for making me look so dumb, UGH i hate myself dfnoera. Richie thought.
"MMhm." Eddie looked suspicious.

a few hours later, Eddie had to go home. He still had to finish his calc homework after all and getting distracted by Richie wasn't gonna help his almost failing grade.
