Erika woke up in her bedroom. The birds were chirping. The sun was shining.
Erika gets up and open the curtains to her room.
"The first day of school. This is gonna be a very good day" Erika said and looked in her closet.
There was a knock on the door and then came in Addison.
"First day of school, E. What are u wearing" Addison asked.
"I picked it out yesterday. I wanted to look great on the first day" Erika said and laid it down on the bed.
"Cute. We're both gonna look great" Addison said.
"Yea. Can't wait to see if we have the same classes together. Along with Zed" Erika said.
"I'll go tell mom to make us breakfast" Addison said and walked out.
Erika closed the door and started changing.
Erika then did her hair and makeup.
When she checked once more in the mirror she grabbed her phone.
She took a picture and sent it to Zed.
"First day of school. I'm gonna go pick u up in 10" Erika said out loud while typing it.
Erika smiled and went downstairs to eat breakfast.
With Zed
Zed was so ready for the first day of school.
"First day of school. Can't wait" Zed jumped down the stairs for breakfast.
"Hey dad" Zed said and sat at the table.
Zoey was putting water in Puppy's water bowl.
"Hey son" Zevon said.
"Hi Zed" Zoey said.
"Hi. How's puppy doing" Zed asked.
"U know. Puppy is always excited for breakfast" Zoey said and then Zevon came with breakfast.
Puppy ran to Zoey.
Zoey gave some breakfast to puppy.
"Zoey. What did I say about feeding puppy at breakfast " Zevon said.
"I know I know." Zoey said.
Zed then got a txt from his phone.
Zed grabbed it and looked at it and saw a txt from Erika.
Zed smiles. 'U look beautiful and see u then' Zed replied.
"Zed eat ur food." Zevon said.
"Sorry" Zed said and started eating.
With Erika
Erika finished eating her food and was about to head out but her mom stopped her.
"Sweetie, where are u heading? I thought ur father was gonna drop u two off at school" Missy said.
"I told Zed I was gonna walk with him to school" Erika said.
"Ur father is gonna drop u off" Missy said.
"Fine" Erika said and sat back down.
Missy got her plate and went to the sink to wash it.
"Ur gonna go rn aren't u?" Addison whispered to Erika.
"Yea. I'm not gonna bail on him" Erika whispered back.
"I won't tell her u left. But she's gonna find out" Addison whispered.
"Ik. Which is why I'll be at Zeds when she realizes I'm gone" Erika said.
Erika got her bag and walked out quietly.
When Missy turned her attention back to the two girls, she didn't see Erika.
"Where's Erika" Missy asked.
"She went up to her room" Addison said.
"Oh ok." Missy said and put another plate of breakfast down.
"Dale! Breakfast" Missy called.
A few minutes after with Erika
Erika finally got to Zeds place.
She walked up the steps and knocked.
"That must be Erika" Zed told his dad and walked to the door.
He opened it and saw Erika.
"Dad! I'm leaving!" Zed called.
"Ok. Bye son!" Zevon called.
Zed got his backpack which was next to the door and closed the door behind him.
"Hi" Zed and Erika hugged.
Zed then held Erika's hand in his hand.
"New school year. What are u expecting happen this year?" Zed asked.
"Idk. But I'm hoping we have all our classes together" Erika said.
"Me too" Zed said.
"We're gonna have another great year" Erika said.
"Im going to take u on a date after school" Zed said.
"Perfect way to end the day. I can't wait" Erika smiled.
Zed smiles and put his arm around her.
They walk to school and see Bucky.
"Aw. How are the two love birds doing?" Bucky asked.
"We're doing good" The two said.
Bucky smiled. "That's good" Bucky said.
"Somethings wrong" Erika whispered to Zed.
"What's up?" Erika asked.
"I need u at cheer practice after school." Bucky said as stopped smiling.
"Sorry Bucky but I have plans after school, so" Erika said.
Bucky wasn't pleased with that response.
Bucky looked at Zed and took his arm off her.
"Look. Cheer is more important than ur boyfriend over here. So I need u at practice" Bucky said.
"Bucky-" "Great. See u at practice" Bucky said and walked away.
Erika looked at Zed.
"I'm not going to cheer practice" Erika said.
"U would never miss a cheer practice, u love cheer" Zed said.
"Do I?" Erika asked.
"What?" Zed asked.
"Nothing. Let's go get our lockers" Erika said.
They were about to go run to get their lockers when Principal Lee stopped them.
"U will not be choosing ur lockers this year" Principal Lee said.
"U have assigned lockers. Ur schedule will be in ur lockers" Principal Lee said.
"Here are ur lockers" Principal Lee said handing the two a paper to tell them where their locker is.
"Have a wonderful first day of school" Principal Lee said and walked away.
The two looked at their own papers.
"Please tell me ur locker is next to or near mines" Erika said.
Zed handed Erika his paper.
Erika looked at his.
"Ur locker is three halls down from mine" Erika said.
"Let's just hope we have the same classes together" Zed said.
Erika marked her paper to tell where Zeds locker is.
"Ima get my schedule and I'll go to ur locker" Erika said and ran to her locker.
"Zed!" Someone yelled angry.
Zed turned around and saw Eliza.
"Where were u?" Eliza asked crossing her arms.
"Wdym?" "I mean, u left us and Bonzo and I walked over here without u" Eliza said.
"Oh sorry. Erika and I decided to go to school together" Zed said.
"Where is she?" Bonzo asked in zombies.
Erika came running back.
"I got my schedule. Where's urs?" Erika asked.
"I haven't gotten it yet" Zed said and walked to his locker as Erika followed.
Zed opened his locker and got his schedule.
Zed got Erika's schedule and looked at it as he looked at his.
"Two classes together" Zed said.
Erika couldn't smile. "U know what. That's not so bad. At least 2 is better than 1 or none" Erika said.
"Yea." Zed said.
"I stopped by my locker. Let me see ur schedule" Eliza said.
"We have 3 classes together. Bonzo have all the same classes" Eliza said.
"U know. This first day is getting me upset" Erika said.
"Let's just enjoy it. We have our first class together" Zed said and then the bell rang.
"Let's go" Zed said and they went to their first class.
