I go through the pages of my old diary. The leaves of the diary are yellowish due to the weather. I wrote in it my last months that I lived in Brazil, two of them I narrated everything that I lived next to Benjamin. It was a way I found not to forget. I kept everything with me; this was the most precious object I had carried with me from Brazil to the United States.

I sighed as I remembered him. I closed my notebook and watched the college field. I was sitting on the grass, waiting for class to begin. I was there, as I always did in the days that followed, waiting for my crazy Benjamin calling me to go home, but the truth is that this never happened, he never showed up. Day after day, I waited. I never got tired, just like the days I had dreamed of Benjamin in my teens before I even knew him.

I turn off the computer after another day of conversation with Carla. The distance has never shaken our friendship, whenever she needs, I am available and vice-versa.

I spend the night awake rereading my diary. The last page I always try to avoid, it still makes me burst into tears, so in these last days, I preferred not to read. I preferred to keep the beautiful and magical moments that we lived in the days before that.

I rise again, following my routine. College, and now a new job.

I walk down the sidewalk and stop to watch the scene. The young woman with colored hair helping the young man in the wheelchair across the street. I smile alone and catch myself once more reminding myself of him. I watch the couple arrive across the street; they get smaller as they walk until they finally disappear from my sight. I try not to think about it, but finally, I realize that this is what I have to do, let Ben go, let him finally leave because after all, it was me who had not left, I'm still stuck in that year of 2016, handcuffed to memories.

I straighten my glasses, and I decided it is finally time for me to say, goodbye Benjamin...

Hello everyone! Thank you to all who arrived here, despite the various grammatical errors contained in this book. To those who voted and commented thank you for that, you insinuate the writers to keep writing.

Well, I know the ending was not the prettiest, but there's the second book. For now, it only has the Portuguese version. I will soon start with the translations. So leave the book 60 Days with Ben in your library, when I begin to update, I'll say it here. Thank you one more time!
