My back and eyes hurt. I've been looking through these books and the internet seeing if I can find anything about Madam Slay. I look on my Kimoyo bead bracelet. 3:06 AM. I have been nosing through these books for about 6 hours now. I stand up, immensely regretting it. My back snaps while releasing a cracking sound. I walk to the bathroom and wash my face with cold water. When I look in the mirror I see a tired and angry girl with dark bags underneath her eyes staring back.
I take a blanket and wrap it around me. I grab my amulet out of my dresser and put it on. I will blast that chick till she bakes like a chicken on a grill if I have to. I take my two daggers and put one in my waist holster and one in my leg holster. I grab the survival bag everyone here in the palace gets. I put the map in it along with other necessities.
After preparing myself I enter Nakia's room. I see her and T'Challa sleeping peacefully in each other arms. I almost don't want to wake them up because of how cute they look. 'NAKIA!' I shout. They both jump up. I burst out into laughter. 'Yara! Why did you do that!?' T'Challa says annoyed. 'I'm sorry I ruined your peaceful sleep but Nakia, I need you to come with me to the Taichi Jungle.'
'She will not go!' T'Challa commands. Nakia places her hand on his chest making him calm down. She turns to me. 'N'Yarai, do you know how dangerous the Taichi Jungle is? The people who enter never come out alive.'
'So do you want me to sit around and sulk about Erik while he isn't even that far away from here?' 'No but-' 'You know what!? Never mind I'll handle this on my own.' I storm out and walk to the person's room who will never fail me. I knock on the door. Seconds later it swings open. 'N'Yarai, what is wrong?' Okoye asks. 'I need your help.'

In not even 30 minutes we have almost reached the border of Wakanda. I fish the map out of my backpack but I'm not able to read it due to the darkness. I grab my flashlight and turn it on.
'We are almost there, just a few miles left.' 'It's getting late, we should set up a camp here and in a few hours we will move further.' W'Kabi says. I want to protest but Okoye cuts me off. 'Do you want to be a zombie when you find your King or do you want to be rested?' I close my mouth and sit on the sleeping bag she laid on the ground. W'Kabi and Okoye snuggle up while the marriage officiant snores restfully. And yes, I am really planning on marrying Erik right here in this Jungle because I will have no chance if I try to bring him back all the way to Wakanda.
I crawl into my sleeping bag. After twisting and turning around for about ten minutes I finally fall asleep.

My eyes fly open as soon as I hear a branch break. My senses have heightened and I don't know if it's part of the amulet or if it's just that i'm that desperate to find him. I slowly get out of my sleeping bag making no noise. I see a shadow moving behind a tree. I sneak up behind the figure. I hold the person in a head lock. 'N..Yarai.. it's me.' I hear W'Kabi say as he longs for air.
I quickly let him go. 'What are you doing!?' 'I was peeing!' Suddenly, we hear another branch break. But this time much louder. I transform and hold my blasters up. W'Kabi tightly holds his sword as he stands in a fight position. I see two bright yellow eyes emerge from the darkness. I remember Shuri telling me that she put an update in my suit, giving me night vision. I turn it on and see a Jaguar walking slowly towards us like we are it's prey.
In a blink of an eye it jumps up. I immediately blast it, making it fall unconscious on the ground. 'We need to leave. Now.' I say. We run back to the camp where Okoye and the marriage officiant are awake. We pick up our stuff and continue our journey.
After traveling for an hour I see her house in the distance. 'Be ready because I bet she will have hundreds of Jaguars waiting on us.' I see the marriage officiant trembling. 'Listen. I know that this is not your type of lifestyle so just stay behind me and yell whenever something happens okay?' He nods nervously. 'Yes my Queen.'
As we come closer I see her fortress. I won't lie, it's a beautiful house just the person living inside it is ugly. A group of growling Jaguars surround us. 'You finally decided to visit me!' I hear the person I despise the most at the moment say. 'Why are you playing so much games!?' I yell. At this point I'm done with everything. 'I don't playing games darling, I'm just playing you.' I try to blast her but fail.
A Jaguar jumps up and takes the "bullet/blast" for her. Why would these sweet animals die for a person like her!? The anger in me builds up to rage. My eyes go from a dark brown color to a light brown color.
I slam my fist on the ground making all the Jaguars that surrounded us fly away. Okoye and W'Kabi stand next to me. 'I need to do this alone.' I say. They nod and stand down.
'I'm impressed, little girl.' 'Where is Erik!?' 'Sleeping peacefully in his cage.' I feel the blasters on my hands become warm. My rage is probably filling up the blasters with more electricity. She lounges forward with her sharp nails. I dodge and punch her in the stomach with a power surge up to 10 V. She stumbles and coughs up blood. She smirks. 'You actually ain't that bad. Why don't you come live with us and become my another one of my pets?'
When I plan to strike, she throws me the air with her telekinetic powers. I land on my feet. I throw blast after blast at her until I see Erik coming out the house with a metal chain around his ankle. Bloody wounds cover his chest. The image makes me rage more. I blast her as much as I can.
(Just pretend this is Yara.😂)
She is caught off guard and I watch her lifeless body fall on the ground. 'YEAH!' I hear W'Kabi cheer. I de-transfrom and walk up to Erik, ripping the chain of his ankle.
He stares blankly at me. There is no type of emotion in his eyes. Tears fill my eyes up at the thought of him being tortured so bad that he shut his emotions off. Okoye throws two blankets at me. I catch both and bind one across his chest to keep pressure on his wounds. I throw the other one around his shoulders.
He suddenly walks off. I sigh and follow him, starting our journey back to Wakanda.

Two days. Two days since we have been back. And two days since he hasn't said a word to me. He lies on the bed, staring at the ceiling. I stand up from the chair I was sitting on. 'I'm going to the library. I'll be right back.' I slowly walk up to him, placing a tender kiss on his forehead. He still stares at the ceiling not acknowledging me.
'Maravi, I need your help, again.' She smiles enthusiastically. 'Did you find him?!' I nod. 'Then why don't you look happy?' 'Something really bad happened. He has shut his emotions off completely. It's like I don't even recognize him anymore.' She sighs disappointed.
'I was afraid that would happen. Being mind controlled and then abused can really have a toll on someone's feeling towards other people afterwards. To be honest, I don't know if he loves you anymore. You have to find out if he shut his emotions off willingly or if he was forced to do so. If it's willingly, then he will most likely still have to same feelings towards you, but if his feelings were shut off forcefully.. then I'm afraid he's gone.'
