I could feel the time freeze, I was sweating was I ready for that kiss?
" Scarlett!" I heard Alisson call me.
" What?" Can't she see I'm thinking about what to do here?
I turned around to her and I felt a kiss on my cheek.
My eyes went wide.
I saw Alisson grin at me, she pointed to me then at her and raised two fingers.
What did I owe her 2 for?
I felt the kiss from my cheek linger and I turn to look at Nathaniel, he gritted his teeth.
Alisson had saved me from giving my first kiss...
People were already cheering for us.
I looked at Nathaniel and he did not look happy about me ditching his kiss.
" I didn't mean to mo-" I tried to apologize.
Nathaniel ignored me and gripped my arm and dragged me down.
People didn't notice, they kept cheering and throwing petals and rice at us....
Nathaniel kept his face off emotions and I threw smiles.
Couldn't they see I was begging for help?
The grip in my arm was bothering me.
When we got into the car Nathaniel let go of me.

He went inside and slammed the door.
He then turned to glare at me.
I was growing nervous I didn't even know what I did wrong.
" So, um do you like oxygen? " I asked.
I swore I saw his eye twitch.
He looked away in a huff.
We sat there, and I felt really uncomfortable.
His body was close to mine and I started to scoot to the next window.
But to my luck he was sitting on the end of my dress.
I looked at him and he was still glaring out the window.
I grabbed the end of my dress and I started to pull softly.
I was frightened he would turn around.
I pulled a little, again.
He didn't notice... Just a bit more.
I pulled more, I looked down... almost.
When I looked back up I almost screamed he was looking at me, murdering me. He removed my hand from my dress and pulled my dress back under him.
He then turned around again.
I stayed quiet. I didn't even try to pull it, I was petrified.
I could hear my heart beating.
Soon I saw a house I was guessing it was his parents.
There were various decorations, while I was looking Nathaniel got down and just when I was going to get down he slammed the door in my face.
What was his problem?
I opened the door and got down, people were already here, some did stare at us but to my luck I didn't see journalists.
I was embarrassed but I kept walking till I entered the house.
It was beautiful.
People were already sitting and in the middle was a huge cake...the one I didn't get to taste, might I add!
I spotted a table were my friends were sitting they seemed like outcasted far from the rest of the guests... I knew it had to do with Ana. I was guessing she didn't know what they became, yet... I then turned to another table that was in front of everyone were my father, Ana, Marisa, Nathaniel's parents and Nathaniel sat.
I didn't want a repeat of last nights, so I awkwardly went to sit with my friends. They hugged me and congratulated me. Alisson gave me a huge smile.
" Scarlett are you sure Nathaniel doesn't like you?"
I looked curiously at her.
" I'm sure, why?"
"You're so oblivious Scarlett..."
" How's that?" I asked.
" Nothing Scarlett, just look at him. "
Was he glaring again?
I took a breath and turn to look at him, but he was now near his friends with a black hair girl hanging on his arm.
I caught him throwing glances at me.
He wasn't going to be faithful in this marriage, right?
I looked back at Alisson... My appetite gone.
" Scarlett don't feel bad he keeps looking at you, he's trying to make you jealous."
" He's just a playboy Alisson! " Alisson rolled her eyes at me.
Just ignore him Scarlett.
" Hey where is Thomas? " I asked everybody.
They looked at me and shrugged.
I looked around to see if I saw him but no....
I kept looking till I spotted him kissing a girl in the far corner.
I chuckled, and the others followed my gaze, they chuckled as well.
I turned my attention back to them, distracting myself from Nathaniel...
" If you don't mind me asking how you guys ended up so fast in Oliver's house?"
Oliver gave me a grin.
" We actually found out you had gone back to New York and were going to be the CEO of the Monroe's company so we all decided to work for you so that you could admit our work was great, so when Oliver called we didn't think twice before going.! " Christian said while stuffing food in his mouth.
" Guys I'm sorry about what my stepmom did but I'm glad you guys got degrees and all...I remembered all of you just wanted to live to street races..." I said.
They gave me small smiles.
" So, did you and look at you!" Connor smirked.
My smile fell.
I want to become a professional at bike riding but since that will be a shame to my family... I got to stick to street races..." I said.
" So, the major in business, what's going to happen to it?" Connor asked.
I sighed. Everyone was paying attention to me.
" I still don't know... I don't know what I'm going to do after this... " I whispered.
"Will don't get this wrong but I actually did this career so that I would be able to stand up to you. I like racing but after my career I totally fell in love!" Parker said.
" Same here!" Bryan added.
They all mouthed the same thing.
" So, you guys were following me? " I laughed. I felt special.
They nodded. " Your mother started a fire, but we ended up finding the ocean... So, Scarlett if you ever decide to take over as a CEO we are here for you! " Alisson said.
I gave them a very sincere smile, with my dimple and all. I had a picture snapped and they all chuckled.
" I won't forget you guys... But for now, I don't think I will take over... "
I won't take over ever...
"Promise! Connor asked.
I smiled. " I promise that if I ever take over as a CEO I'll fire the ones my father has, and I'll give it over to you guys!"
They laughed, and Christian wrapped an arm around me.
I saw Alisson's face and she looked amused. I looked at her and she shrugged me off. I shrugged as well.
" Did your father force you to do that career?" Bryan asked.
I nodded.
" Why? We thought you actually wanted to live in your brother's memory!"
I chuckled. " No, that's just what my father said to the newspapers... After Edward died my father blamed me... "
" Really? You didn't appear in the headlines, so we thought Edward had actually been drunk and driving too fast and crashed." Parker said.
I gave them a sad smile.
"But don't feel guilty it's not your fault you did try to push him to the dirt hill, to stop him from crashing." Parker said.
How they know? I never told anyone that.
"If I hadn't taken him out that day!" I whispered. Suddenly I began feeling awful. My brother was something I never got over with. I for some reason felt my air supply being cut off. I saw everyone shoot me worried looks.
" SCARLETT!" Thomas screamed distracting me, but I managed to see Oliver elbow Parker! "Ow!" Parker hissed. " What was that for?"

" Remember you owe me two?" Alisson asked.
I looked at her and nodded nervously.
" Go hug your best friend! "She said.
I smiled that was easy I got up and went towards him.
Totally distracted from our earlier conversation.
I saw Thomas extend his arms and I indulged him in a hug.
" You look lovely, congratulations bestie! I will be glad to deliver your kids just wait a year to start cooking for it."
I broke the hug and started blushing like a mad woman.
He started laughing. " Man, you haven't changed."
I blushed even more.
After that all my friends came closer and gave me a hug.
Of course, there were pictures snapped.
I wanted to cry they were more than friends to me.
" Don't you dare cry you will ruin your make up!" Alisson shrieked.
We laughed again.
We were still hugging, I didn't do it usually, so I was feeling awkward.
What do I do now?
" I'm hoping to race against you soon, Scarlett!" Thomas whispered.
I heard my friends chuckle.
" I got to get going, Scarlett. I got to go attend to some meetings and I be out for some time but I'm looking forward to racing against you as well!" Parker whispered.
I sighed, I didn't want them to go anywhere.
We broke the hug and Parker gave a peck on the forehead, he turned to the others and started hugging them and shaking hands. He pecked Alisson as well, then his eyes looked around and I saw him sweat.
He turned to us, he seemed nervous.
" What's wrong?" I asked.
He gave me signals to look around, I did.
We had everyone looking at us.
I shivered.
"Weird!" Oliver whispered.
" I think I'll go. " Parker mumbled and turned to leave.
"Pussy!" Connor whispered.
We looked at Parker leave, and we chuckled.
When I looked back Nathaniel was deeply glaring at me. I gulped.
Ana glared as well.
What did I do now? Can't I hug? Are they going to prohibit it as well?
I saw Nathaniel walking straight at me.
I realized Thomas's hand was wrapped around my shoulder... I gulped.
Alisson, my conscience shot. I knew everything she asked was bad.
Nathaniel reached us and held his hand out for me. I took it confused.
He pulled me, and Thomas's hand fell off.
I turned around to watch my friends, they seemed nervous.
Nathaniel wrapped a hand around my waist and pulled me closer to him.
" Won't you introduce your loved husband to your friends?" Nathaniel asked.
I saw Alisson cough a laugh.
Could it be true Nathaniel was jealous?
" Um yeah Thomas, Connor, Alisson, Christian, Bryan and the one that left Parker." I said nervously.
He stretched his hand to all of them and when he reached Thomas's hand, he asked for his name again.
" Who was this? " He asked.
" That's Thomas. " I said.
Alisson raised an eyebrow at me just when Nathaniel gripped Thomas's hand and put pressure, Thomas's eyes flashed hurt.
I looked up at Nathaniel and he was murdering Thomas with his eyes.
I coughed and reached for his hand.
When I touched his hand, I felt a shiver and some tingles.
He looked back at me and he let go off Thomas.
" Would you guys mind if I stole my wife a bit and presented my friends to her?" Nathaniel asked.
" Not at all!" Connor answered.
They all nodded nervously, and Nathaniel started to drag me away.
Alisson gave me a smirk.
They went back to the table and continued talking and eating.
I wanted to be there.
Nathaniel pulled me close to some friends and the black-haired girl.
His friends gave me smirks while the girl glared.
" Hi! " I squeaked.
They nodded.
" Scarlett let me present them, my best friend Liam who's a CMO, Xavier is a CFO, Jonathan who is my cousin and a CTO... This girl is my ex-girlfriend, María."

I held my hand out and gave them a small smile.
Is that what he meant by presenting? I should rub my friends in everyone's faces as well.
Liam had blond straight hair a round face a fit body and green eyes a bit lighter than mine. Xavier had brown eyes and black hair he was also fit. Jonathan had blue eyes and black hair except Nathaniel's was curly and his was straight and he was a bit chubby.
While Maria was short, skinny but filled with curves... She had black hair and light brown eyes.
Soon they started talking about company and deals, boring I already knew what they were talking about.
The girl kept glaring.
Nathaniel's hand around my waist was making me shiver.
I turned to look at my friends, they were laughing.
Next time I won't leave them ever again.
" If you keep investing in that project in 6 months you'll be asking the banks for a loan." I answered and turned to look back at them.
They look at me wide eyed and they started laughing.
I raised an eyebrow.
" She's just joking, right Scarlett? " Nathaniel said with a mock.
" Do you want to bet Mr. Pierce! " I said.
Nathaniel glared.
I knew what I was talking about they were looking at the money they would gain in two weeks, but they weren't looking at how much they would lose.
" Woooa!!!" Nathaniel friends said.
" Maybe you should go sit with your father, Scarlett!" Nathaniel said annoyed.
I pressed my lips together in anger.
I saw the black haired ' ex-girlfriend ' smirk at me.
" Alright, I should! "
Nathaniel smirked.
" But when you start asking the banks for money don't tell me I didn't warn you and when that happens you should think about going back to school!" I said.
Nathaniel's friends seemed anxious while his María glared and his cousin Jonathan smirked.
Nathaniel gritted his teeth.
I nodded my head in a goodbye way to his friends, I unwrapped his arm around my waist and went to sit near my father.
I felt humiliated right now but in six months he'd be the one humiliated. I couldn't help but smile.
Karma is a bitch just watch Nathaniel.
I sighed. I started to eat.
Everyone was talking.
I stayed like an hour watching everyone dancing, Marisa was with a guy... My parents were talking to a couple and Mr. Pierce and Lydia were on the table entertained with another couple.
That's why I didn't want to take over the company every party meant deals and money.
I sighed, again.
I turned back to Nathaniel, but he wasn't there, and neither was María.
His friends turned towards me and gave me sad smiles.
I felt my heart bang.
" Scarlett there you are! We must cut the cake. Where's Nathaniel? " Lydia asked.
Ouch she didn't realize I had been here all along?
"I don't know. I said.
"Can you find him, sweetie?"
I gave a fake smile and stood up.
I walked to his friends and they looked around nervously.
" Where's Mr. Pierce?" I asked coldly. They swallowed.
" I think he's in the bathroom!" Xavier answered. Liam elbowed him.
He seemed sincere, so I started to look for it. I even asked a waiter and he pointed the way.
I walked over, and Liam walked in front of me.
" You really shouldn't! " He said nervously.
" Sweetie, where's Nathaniel? " Lydia asked. She came up next to me.
Liam started sweating.
" You should ask Liam! " I said.
Liam swallowed so I walked to the bathroom's door and I heard a moan.
I gulped and placed my hand on the doorknob.
