I slowly open my eyes, trying to adjust to the lighting.

Where am I?

I've noticed the wallpaper before. They had the same wallpaper in the library down the hall. It was all golden. I looked at the time, it was noon.

What day is it?

I checked the calendar that was on top of the small table they had.

It's been 2 days...

I slowly get up and I feel a rap for wounds around my stomach. Out of nowhere, I realized something weird.

If I was out for 2 days, aren't I supposed to be hungry?

It hurts too much for me to move but I've seemed to manage. I get off the bed and walk to the door. I slowly peek my head out and the first thing I notice is the two guards standing there.

"Good morning my Princess, would you like any breakfast?"

"Oh, no thank you, but may I ask you something?" I say while looking down the hallway.

"Yes, my Princess, anything," he said while turning his body towards me.

"Where's Lucas?"

"King Lucas is in his studies," he says.

"Ok well, I'm in need of a drink. Can you please fetch me some tea?"

"Of course, my Princess," he walks away in a hurry.

As he leaves, I see the other still standing guard. I give him a gentle smile as I slowly close my door and walk to my bed. Before I can sit down I hear the voice again.

"Josephina, you must get to the water. You must heal yourself."

I stare into plain space, trying to figure out where the voice is coming from.

"Show yourself," I raise my hand.

"Josephina, there's no need to be scared. I'm here to help."

"How am I sure you're not a darktist or a spy?" I ask defensively.

"Trust me..."

"Okay...," I raise an eyebrow and put my hand down.

*knock knock*

"Come in," I say while sitting up a bit straight.

"Princess Josephina, is everything okay? I heard you, talking to yourself," he says. I can hear the worry in his voice.

"Everything's fine, but change of plans. I'm going to need your help getting to the pool out back," while getting up slowly.

"But Princess... your injuries haven't healed yet."

"Just trust me; I know what I'm doing," I say while gesturing for his help.

He nods and comes over to help me walk. I put my arm around his neck and we're off to the hallway. We make ourselves through the Palace till we're standing in front of the pool.

"Princess Josephina, your tea is ready," said the servant.

"Ok, give me a minute," I said.

I look at the water and see my reflection. I noticed my hair all messy and I blushed of embarrassment.

I've been walking around the palace like this... ew.

I took a step forward and touched the water. It's chilly, so I made it quick and fell right in. I felt myself shiver but after a while, I got used to the water I moved my hand around my face and made an air bubble.

"Heal yourself, Josephina."

"I-I don't know how...," I spoke to myself.

"Put your hands on your injury."

I did as I was told.

"Now make it heal."

I thought really hard and forced myself to use my magic. I suddenly saw a bright blue light coming from my hands.

"That's it, just focus."

I closed my eyes and thought harder.

*moments earlier* (Servant POV)

"Why is she taking forever? She could be in danger."

"Give her time," said the soldier coldly.

I look at the soldier in curiosity. He stares at me for a moment and I look away as I saw a shiny glow coming from the water. I walk closer and I see a bright blue light coming from her stomach. All the sudden the water was rising from the pool and she came out in different clothing and her bandage rap was gone. She had on a white crop top with a light blue wavy looking skirt that made her look like an angel from the back. She also had on a pair of high heels on. Her hair was perfectly curled. Her face was no longer pale as before.

"Princess Josephina... you look stunning," I said as my mouth had dropped open.

"Thank you," she said with a smile.

I handed her, her tea and bow.

"Thank you," she said once again.

"With my pleasure," I smiled weakly.

"I would also like to thank you for helping me down here; I wouldn't have done it without you," she spoke to the guard nearby.

"You're welcome my Princess," said the soldier.

She walked away and headed inside.

(Josephina's POV)

I walked up the stairs and headed towards Lucas's studies. I suddenly heard voices coming from the room.

"What do you mean you can't find her!? She has to be in the Palace! Go find her now!"

Is that Lucas? Wow, he sounds mad.

I walk into his studies and the first thing I see is an old maid and couple of soldiers.

"You guys are excused," I say while gesturing them to leave the room.

They walked out and as I see the maid leave I see a tear falling from her face. I slammed the door shut as they leave. I closed my eyes as I did.

"Josephina... I-I was worried about you," he walks in closer.

"Don't even! You just can't yell at our soldiers like that!"

"Our?" he said.

"Your... I meant yours."

He smiled and I rolled my eyes.

"Josephina, you have to understand that I was scared. I didn't know where you were, can you blame me?"

"Maybe this situation wouldn't have happened if someone would have just controlled their temper two nights ago...," I said as I lowered my head.

"Josephina, I was mad for another reason. I'm sorry if I was stubborn a couple of nights ago."

I looked up at him and I couldn't resist his apologetic face.

"Fine, you're forgiven but-" I said as I raised a finger.

"I must know what happened between you and Linda that night," I said as I raised an eyebrow and crossed my hands.

He looked at me and sighed.

"Fine, come."

We walked over to the sofa that matched the walls golden color.

"Okay, talk," I insisted.

"A few years before your arrival I made a deal with Linda. If I haven't found you soon, her land and mine would be combined. We would have had to get married, in order to protect my land from darktists. Of course, I didn't want to blindly go into marriage with her, so yes, we dated, for a year," he said while facing away from me. I look away from him with disgust. "Then, once I found out where you were exactly, I called it off. Dating her was the worst decision I've ever mind," he said scoffing.

"I don't see where this comes in from last night," I say. He sighs.

"She was trying to convince me that you were no help, that my land would fall because you weren't the Gifted one," he said while facing me once again. "Of course, I got furious with her and took it out on you. I owe you an apology for that, I'm sorry, Josephina." His face was full of regret.

"It's fine," I say quietly.

"I need you to talk to me, not to be mad at me, please Josephina," he says while grabbing my hands. "I need you back."

I looked down and blushed. I playfully rolled my eyes.

"I mean, if you say soo," I say while laughing. He then pulls me in for a hug. I gasp. I start to warm up.

He missed me... He actually missed me...

After about a minute, I spoke up, "Lucas..."

"Oh, I'm sorry, did I hurt you?" He looked at my side for my injury.

"Oh, yeah, I've healed it...," I said while thinking about something that occurred to me at that moment.

"I see you've mastered-" he said while I interrupted him.

"Where were you that night? When I broke the mirror I thought you'd be the first to come to my rescue," I said confused.

"Josephina I-I..."

*knock knock*

It was Kendra and Gabriel. They were shocked to see me out of bed.

"You're not supposed to be out of bed yet! I worked long and hard on those wounds, I am not about to let you mess up my work," said Gabriel as he walked over and grabbed my arm and dragged me into the hallway.

"C'mon, we have to get you to bed! Get you some tea! Fluff some pillo-" he said.

"Um, Gabriel?!"

"Yeah?" he turned.

I pointed at where my wound use to be and gave him a quick smile.

"Oh, uh I guess you... uh, healed yourself," he said as he rubbed his hair.

"Yes, I did but thank you for being so concerned," I give him a quick smile. I look back to find Kendra talking to Lucas. Her face seemed so shocked.

Oh no. What now?

I chose to ignore whatever the problem is this time. For once in my life, I just want to have a normal day.
