kylies p.o.v- chapter one
beep beep beep....
my eyes slowly start to open trying to adjust to the blinding light that is coming from my open curtains i forgot to close last night. Dammit. i turn over and hit snooze on my phone noticing that it is already 8am.
"crap, im late for school" i shout as my eyes shoot open and i run towards the bathroom, tripping over almost everything in my room. i come out of the bathrrom after having a shower and getting dresses. i start to brush my hair and out it up in a messy bun cause good old me is running late and cant be bothered.
"mum are you still here!" i shout while running downstairs. no answer. well i guess im just going to need to take my bike to school. i qyuickly run around the kitchen getting some toast and coffee then bolting out of the door. i put my bag in the basket on my bike and then put my coffee there too. "im gonna be so freaking late" i complain as i zoom down the street. just great im never normally late always on time why am i being different latley, first it was snapping at my mum getting into and argurment with my dad and then actually leaving the house for two days. i did apologize to my parents but i feel like there something changing about me and i dont know if its for the better or worse.
while i was still daydreaming i heard someone shoting my name. i recognise the voice its just jess my best friend that ive known since i was in diapers. "KYLIE WATCH OUT, STOP!" i got taken out of my thoughts and noticed that i was almost about to ram into a teacher.
i suddenly squeezed the brakes as i could and hoped for the best. thank god these brakes got fixed. "oh my god, mrs. cooper im so so sorry are you ok, i didnt mean to i ju-" i got cut off by mrs cooper talking. "kylie it ok,im ok but you were in quite a day dream there are you ok?" i thought for a second. am i ok. "yeah im fine i just zoned out a little" jeez that was close im so glad it was her and not another teacher. "ok well you better start to get to class before the bell goes. see you seventh period kylie" and with that she just walked off like nothing happened. mrs cooper was an awesome teacher she was so nice, i had her every monday, tuesday and friday for home room.
"kylie are you ok?, i thought you were gonna crash into mrs cooper" ok yes i know i almost crashed but seeing jess's expresion is hilarious she looks so scared and worried almost. i start to laugh and jess stares at me like im crazy. "kylie why are you laughing you could have died" i looked at her and started giggiling . " stop exagerating things i couldnt have died, and im laughing cause you looked so worried" i wiped the fake tear away as jess plafully hits my arm.
" ugh your so annoying, anyways we should get to class" she turned around and started walking towards the doors. she didnt even say 'hi how was your summer?' or even give me a hug. "jess do i even get a hug i hevent seen you in at all over the summer" i stood in my spot crossing my arms waiting for her to come give me a hug. " ky stop being a baby and hurry up or were going to be late." i stood my ground while she just stared at me, i know she will give in any second she loves hugs. then just as i thought that a grin spread across her face and she ran over and literally tackled me to the ground.
" i knew you missed me" i said while lying on the ground next to her with a smile on my face "of course i missed you, your my bestie. right we really need to go the bell is going to go in... five minutes ". and with that we both got up and walked into school and headed to our lockers.
me and jess were geting our books out of our lockers while suddenly i got shoved into the door of mine by none other than the queen bee herself mars scott. " watch where you going loser" she said to me. i honestly hate that girl she is such a bitch to everyone who isnt at her level. "ugh why cant you leave her alone for once, mars, like can you try and not be a absoulute bitch all the time or is it just second nature for you" jess said while standing infront of me. its not that i get jess to fight my battles its just the last time i fought back i ended up with a black eye and a busted lip. " stay out of my business jess, i do what i want when i want and you cant do anything about it, got it." jess didnt stand down and i know if she keeps talking mars is gonna get her friends to beat her.
" come on jess, lets get to class, shes just... not worth the effort" i said as i looked up to mars and i dont know if i was going crazy but i think that i saw a look of, hurt , sadness but just for a second before she turned around and walked away. " ky im sorry you need to put up with that... dog, c'mon lets go to history" then she looped her arm with mine and we headed to our class.
we were now in class and the teacher, mr parker has justy said that we have an project that we need to do and at the moment he is partnering us up. i dont believe its not even the end of first period and ive already gotten pushed into lockers and been called a loser this day is going to be horrible. " kylie woods your going to go with.... mars scott" wait did he just say mars um excuse me no im not " excuse me" i said quite rudley "im not going with her" i was so angry for some reason and i never talk back to teachers.Ever. " you heard me miss woods, you are getting paired up with miss scott, end off discussion" so much for this day getting even worse its going to be horrendous.
i looked a couple of rows over and saw that mars actually looked a little zoned out, maybe because she knows that were gonna need to spend time together out of school to do this. for some reason my heart sped up of the thought of us spending time together alone.
the rest of the day went by quite quickly and lucky for me i didnt get bothered my mars or her freinds which was good so right now i was just outside of my house locking my bike up. thats when my mum drove into the drive way. " hey mum" i said while heading towards the door waiting for her to unlock it. " hey kylie, your father should be back soon with chinese. cause im really tire and i cannot be bothered cooking toinght" we both laughed as we headed into the house my mum went to her room while i went to mine on the fourth floor sort of.
my parents had quite a bit of money, but i dont like to brag about stuff like that yes we have a big house which is amazing. it is white on the outside witha huge back garden with a pool and a hot tub. the rest of the house has four bedrooms not including my own cause mine is like the attic but its really big we have a cinema room a basement with games and a couple of other things.
i finally got up to my room and flopped onto my bed, but because im so clumsy i just had to go and hit my head off of my head board "shit, ouch that hurt" as soon as i said that my mum walked into the room " hey watch the language, you can say what ever you want anywhere else but when your in the house you act like a good little girl ok, and by the way dinner is ready" and with that we both went down the stairs.
i didnt pay much attention during dinner my parents were just talking about random stuff and asked how eachothers days went. honelty i cant be bothered listening to this so after dinner i just went back up to my room and that leads me to now listening to music while lying on my back while my legs are up the wall.

why is it when im relaxing someone has to interupt, i went over to my phone and expected it to be jess who messaged me but it was from a unknown number.
unknown- hey
kylie;)- hey whos this??
unknown- its mars i was wondering if you want to come over to start the project so we can finish it quickly?
kylie;) - its 8pm i think its a bit late for me to walk to your house.
unknown- im on my bike outside your house so you better come
kylie;)- how do you know where i live. thats a tad creepy.
unknown - i have my ways just hurry up so we can go

i grabbed my jacket and put my phone in my pocket and told my parents i was going over to jess's which they were fine with cause they love jess as a daughter. so i got outside and saw mars in her leather jacket and ripped jeans with her black wait, is that a motercycle.
"mars im not getting on that death contraption" i gave her a seriousa look but that didnt last long cause i started checking her out. she was actually really beautiful when shes not biting your head off.wait stop thinking like that you hate her. " well princess you dont exactly have a choice" princess? i like it well its better than getting called loser all the time.
"ugh fine but only because i want to get this project started" she grinned and threw me her helmet i looked at it wierd wondering where hers was. "umm mars wheres your helmet?" " i dont need one, i dont live that far" icrossed my arms and stared at her " i know you dont particulaly like me and vice versa but i dont want you getting injured if we cr-" she didnt let me finish off my sentence " we wont crash trust me" i just nodded and got on her bike.
i was sitting on the bike with the helmet on but she didnt start the bike " are we gonna go or just sit her" i asked getting a little annoyed. " we will but you need tohold on so you dont fall off" i wrapped my arms around her torso but lightly. she grabbed my arms and made me hold on tighter " dont worry i dont bite" mars said " yes you do " i said she grunted and started the bike then we sped off to her house.
oh my god that bike ride was so thrilling and i felt free and happy. " did you anjoy that princess?" mars said getting off the bike " why do you keep calling me princess?, you normally call me loser or bitch or-" why the heck is everyone cutting me off latley jeez " i know and im actually.. um .. sorry that i called you those" by the time she finished her sentence i felt like my eyes were going to pop ou of their sockets.
Did the baddest,meanest bitch in scholl just apologise to, me the one she has been bullying since well since i can remember. " what?" she looked at me with sadness "im sorry my pa- friends um want me to do those things cause they think if i dont then they think im gonna go all nice and i will lose everyhting" i looked at her not shooked at all that she cares more about her popularity than peoples lifes, what a surprise. "ugh lets just get this project started".
her house or should i say building more like is incredible there must be a lot of people who live here. " im just warning my family are wierd and they might quetion you, and just saying there is a lot of them" i looke at her with u duh look " of course there is going to be a lot of people this place is gigantic" she laughed and she started walking towards the door.
she literally told me to just sprint up to her room because her family apparently bugs her sometimes. so that what we done she grabbed my hand and we sprinted upstairs. when she grabbed my hand it felt wierd,but a good wierd like elextricity running through me. so that happened and its now 11pm. i should probably tell her i have to leave.
"umm mars would you be able to drop me off home now, cause i think my parents might get worried" i said while looking at the ground worried that she would make a comment about how im suck a baby going home 'early'. "ok,lets go" really was it that easy i think i like this mars better than the one at school.
i walked into the house and my parents were sitting on the couch but when i turned around they were staring right at me "what?" i said looking a little worried, cuase they looked almost, scared. " where were you?" my dad said in a serious tone "i was at mar- jess's house just catching up, why are you interogating me leave me alone!" i almost shouted the last part but i dont know why i wasnt angry at all " kyl's your staying off school tomorrow because weve got a surprise" my dad said with a small smile at the end.
i was a little confused ive never stayed of school for my birthday, ever. " umm ok i will just tell jess not to wait up on me tomorrow" they turned around to face eachother and turned back to me and said " dont worry we already told her earlier" they both got up and walked away to their rooms "goddnight sweetie, go get to bed your gonna need your rest" and with that i went to bed also wondering why they were acting so wierd.
