i peeped my head into awsten's room to check if he was sleeping. i was relieved to see he was and closed his door until it was open a tad bit. i went to otto's room and sat down on his loveseat.
otto was on his phone, nibbling at some chocolate. "is he asleep?" he asked without looking at me.
"yeah. i've got something to ask you."
"shoot."
"so...valentine's day is coming up, and i'm totally stressing. i-"
otto shook his head and put his phone down. "what, why? dude, it's in two weeks. i think you'll be fine."
"do you have anything planned with grace?" i snapped.
otto shrugged. "nope, but you know her. she likes impromptu decisions. she'll be happy with whatever we end up doin'."
"you two are nuts, just putting it out there." i huffed.
otto laughed. "well, you're not wrong there. but in all seriousness, don't fret. awsten is easy to please, it shouldn't be all that hard."
"so do you think he'll be happy if we just stayed in, had a cuddle party, and watched movies?"
i caught a glint of something in otto's eyes, but it disappeared as rapidly as it appeared. "yeah, i think that'll be great for you two. have some alone time."
something popped into my mind. "hey, another thing i wanna ask you...um..."
otto raised an eyebrow. "i don't wanna do a foursome, i told you i wasn't poly."
i choked. "wha-jesus, no! but..." i hesitated. "but you're getting warmer."
otto's eyebrows furrowed down in confusion. i could almost see the gears turning in his head.
"you...want to have sex...with awsten? and just him?"
i nodded. i felt the blood rush to my cheeks. "well-yeah, and of course with just awsten. i-i...well, now i'm not too sure. i'm a-"
"hey man, it's okay. i mean, i don't wanna be involved in your sex life. do what you wanna do, though. you'll figure it out."
i smiled gratefully. "yeah, i'm sure i will. thanks, otto."
"no problem. that's what friends are for, right?" i opened my mouth to say something, but he interrupted me. "but if you hurt him, i just might have to cut your balls off."
my hand unconsciously moved in front of my pants to protect myself. "wow, thanks for the support, dude. means a lot."
he shrugged and laughed.
