anger can lead to another thing, anger can make everything you see turn dark, anger can make you cruel. people refused to forgive and forget for they are too occupied on pitying themselves and pretending that they are the only one hurting. yes. it isn't an easy thing but they could atleast try. now, raesung understood why anger is part of the seven deadly sins because it almost made him a murderer.
he can still feel the coldness of the gun on his hands, the way he pulled the trigger made him dizzy and the sound of a gunshot echoing through the area still rang on his ears. everything was too fast, a broken scream cut him off his stance and he dropped the gun on the cold hard ground. his hands weren't tainted in blood, it was tainted with sin.
vivid memories of those 8 boys running to their unconscious friend lingered on his mind. he didn't even knew if hyunjin was still alive, it made him terrified. he always hated the fact that his father murdered someone but everytime that thought crossed his mind, he would make an excuse that his father just did it because he was tired of life and was broken by it. he love him for he was the only one who looked at him as if he was a blessing sent from above, his father accepted him despite his mom being a prostitue. his father accepted his mother but she was too blind to see how much he loved her, was to deaf to hear his pleas to stop her madness.
raesung's eyes stayed glued on the ground as the police guided him on a table. someone came to visit him in prison. a bitter smile formed on his lips, he was no different from his father.
he refused to meet his eyes when he sat down. he was too ashamed on what he did and he didn't want anyone to look at him in the eyes because he was afraid that he might corrupt them too.
"raesung." woojin called out but he still didn't look at him. the older boy heaved out a sigh as he patted raesung on the shoulder.
"revenge isn't the solution saeng." he bit his lip as he took woojin's hands and bowed his head on the table. he was crying.
"i-i'm sorry hyung. i was too blinded with fury, i didn't mean it!"
"you almost killed someone rae, that's a not a reason. death is unreasonable." he didn't know what to say because he knew that woojin was right. he was a sinner and a criminal.
"i'm sorry. i'm sorry for everything. please forgive me." he said in between sobs.
"you shouldn't be saying those words to me." raesung nodded as he looked up to meet his eyes.
people cry not because they're weak, people cry because they're human. they have feelings, they have a heart. crying isn't a weakness for it is the only way for us to feel a little better. the more tears we shed, the lesser the heaviness we feel in our hearts.
laugh all you want but never forget that you can also cry because you're human. and it's okay, it's fine. no one is stopping you. you are you.
"i-is he still alive?" woojin gave him a little smile in return as he stood up from his chair and left the younger boy. sadness was evident in his hues as he left the place. he can feel something wet rolling down his cheeks and for a second, he thought that he was crying. it was raining. quickly running on a waiting shed, he texted chan that he would be a little late since he didn't bring any umbrella with him.
"want some coffee?" a person asked beside him. he was startled at first but he looked at the person and took the coffee from her hand.
"drink it while it's still hot."
"uh thanks." the girl nodded as she took a sip of her coffee and looked at the cars passing by them. woojin observed her out of the corner of his eyes, her eyesbrows were furrowed and a small pout was on her lips as if she was thinking deeply. he almost choke on his drink as the girl chuckled. she looked at him with her index finger on her lip as she wink at him.
"don't worry stranger or whatever your name is, you'll see me again so you don't need to look at my face as if it's our last meeting!"
meanwhile, hyunjin quickly closed his eyes when he was met with a blinding light from the ceiling. he can feel someone's hold on his hands and can hear his friends' loud voices. they quickly gathered around him and he groaned at the questions thrown on his way.
"seriously? i know i should be thankful for you all but can you shut up for a second? my head is aching." minseo chuckled and motioned for them to keep quiet. she poked hyunjin's cheek and he opened his right eye to look at her. he smiled.
"that was rude." jisung glared at hyunjin but the boy just stuck his tongue out.
"how come she gets a special treatment?" felix said.
"well, as you can see, he's head over heels for minseo." changbin said as he wrapped his arms over felix's shoulder. chan's face was serious though, he still felt guilty for being harsh to hyunjin, and the fact that they almost lost him drove him insane and he couldn't sleep properly. thank god, hyunjin just got a scratch from the bullet. it just grazed his side and he lost consciousness because his body was too weak.
"hyunjin." suddenly the teasings stopped. hyunjin looked at minseo before averting his gaze to look at chan.
"i'm sorry for saying those words to you and i'm sorry for hurting you." hyunjin's eyes soften as he gently smiled at chan.
"i understand, i already forgave you guys. we're family afterall." chan looked up at him and ruffled hyunjin's hair, he was smiling again and by those words, his heart finally felt at ease.
"group hug!" jeongin shouted but before they could do it, hyunjin raised a hand and said "my body is still aching so if you'll excuse me." he pulled minseo by her wrist and hug her waist.
"i'll just take her and you can proceed on your group hug." minseo laughed at their reaction, their faces showing disgust at how cringy hyunjin was.
"how'd you found out i was in that place by the way?" seungmin pointed at changbin.
"i followed you."
"we were worried sick you know." minho said.
"but don't worry, everything's fine now." minseo gave them a reassuring smile and in that moment, they knew why hyunjin fell for her. her presence was comforting and her heart was pure.
the door slammed open as yedam and woojin entered the room. woojin's face was red and they wondered why.
"why is your face all red hyung?" seungmin asked while woojin sent a glare on his way. yedam walk towards his sister and took her from hyunjin's embrace and hugged her tight.
"i was so worried sick noona!"
"is this yedam?" hyunjin asked, yedam looked at him confused. minseo nodded as she held yedam's hand.
"yedam, this is hyunjin, hyunjin, this is yedam." yedam's lips formed into a grin as he shook his hands to a nervous hyunjin. his palms were staring to sweat because he was scared for yedam might not like him, he only brought trouble to minseo.
"take care of my sister okay? she won't stop talking about you so i trust you!" minseo's face flushed and she playfully slapped yedam's arms. hyunjin laughed and nodded at him, well, it looks like he was wrong afterall. he remembered buying medicines for yedam when he went to his mother's clinic and he would give it to him when he's out of the hospital.
"mom." upon remembering her, his eyes scanned through the room trying to find her figure but to his dismay, she wasn't there. he was disappointed alright but he promised himself that he would finally fixed his relationship with his mom. with the help of those people around him, he finally had the courage to forgive her and leave everything in the past.
"from now on, yedam and minseo is part of our family and we promise that we will protect them." those words made hyunjin smile widely, he was so greatful because finally, everything started to fit together, just what he always wanted.
minseo looked at their smiling faces and finally, her gaze landed on hyunjin's smiling face. gently holding his hand, she gave him a smile. their eyes showing nothing but pure love for each other.
they gave the pieces of their broken hearts to each other and now, it's finally fixed.
