"GhaaRAAAAAA!!!"
Alex was sent flying through a building and layed there squashed into the floor like a bug
He felt his body crunch as he stood up fixing the massive holes and fractures he had inside and outside
"...OOooowww" Alex checked his body as it was now fixed up to full health. He summoned his blade and waited for Lucy
She was damn scary. He had tried to tire her out by throwing out anything he had close towards her to weaken those so called vectors out. She was bragging about them pretty much everytime so he planned to take it out
"Third barrage coming up!" Alex yelled
He glided out of the building and was meet with two vectors crossing his path. He tilted around to evade the blade-like forces and landing in a crouch
Lucy stared at him in blood shot eyes. She had taken some sizeable damage visible in her arms and torso. He had struck her 3 times with claws on her torso which tore the hoodie she had revealing the tank top on the bottom and punched her arms with biomass that left them quite purple
"Damn worm! I keep cutting yet it grows back! HAAAA!!!!"
She waved one vector right to him. Alex raised his left forearm and blocked the hit "This is getting worse for you than for me."
He jumped sky high avoiding the other seven that came to tear his body. She flew right where he jumped from and turned to hit him in mid flight as there was no way he could dodge
She recklessly assumed victory with the vectors reaching upon the prototype but Alex skillfully 'hid' the sun behind him as he reached to the peak of his jump. She smiled at almost feeling his body until Alex extended his limbs and showed the sun's gleam as he disappeared into the blinding rays
She covered her eyes and kept her vectors to reach for something that was not there. Alex grinned as he now dived right into to crash a couple of feet away from her. His arms clashed right into the ground and Lucy was blown away as it all cracked around Alex, sinking right to the middle of the crater
Lucy was hit by the impact and collateral damage scrapped her arms protecting her face as well her knee was struck by a wheel of a car which made her scream. She balanced herself back slamming her vectors to the ground and pushing back against the momentum
A car came right towards Lucy at high speeds flipping over in mid air. She saw it before hand and with four vectors tore through it like tin foil making it to scraps. The hands kept going to reach Alex until he dashed away
She followed suit running to the way he left
"Tricky Bastard! I'm gonna tear you open!" Lucy threatened, now salivating from pure fury. Alex grinned as he stopped mid run, facing the killer machine unmoving
"Then try it" 'I better dodge everything body cause she will tear you the fuck up' Alex prepared with a jumpy exercise with open arms
Lucy's eyes gleamed a red overshade as she looked straight at his eyes "I'mma kill you son of a bitch!"
She clawed away in a killer boost. The moment the first swing came, Alex arched to his right and evaded the vector.
The next that came to zip right through his torso, he jumped up dodging the slash. A third came down to slash his head but Alex simply side turned to evade the attack, still it cut some of his jacket
Alex spun away and skidded to a halt
"Hey! that is gonna cost ya when I get you out of that state!" Alex growled as his arms grew big again "Hammerfist!"
'Shit' Lucy sweated at the mention of those things' names. Those arms were simply devastating to even get close and due to the area of effect she had to be on her toes with no chance of attack
Alex struck the ground and all came shaking like an earthquake, Lucy gasped at how the city block churned into a concrete mess including the fall of buildings. A local billboard almost fell on her as she was dodging the cracks and rising ground
To save herself, Lucy had to dash away with an eight force vector propulsion right to a glass exhibit window. She barreled through the store and collapsed into rows of toys, rolling deeper into the store opening some minor wounds wider
She tried to stand but only managed to be on her knees heaving for a breath in the unsettled dust. She spat a phelgm of blood feeling pain sweep right to her bones
'I'm beat up. I feel like I could throw up my intestines... Wha-' Lucy felt the ground shake once again and faster than she could blink Alex came barging into the store with his arms raised to double-axe the ground
"I'm not done!" He slammed his arms and the entire store destabilized into itself. In a whim, Lucy jumped to the roof and a vector destroyed the debris falling/remaining that blocked her path
To Alex this was nothing keeping up smashing and stomping away everything to smitherens. He looked up to her and saw the bandage on her stomach bleed through the tanktop, Lucy was struggling now closing her eyes because of said pain 'She's almost tired, a little nudge more and I can take her out of that trance' he imagined
This distracted him for the right time as Lucy was able to grab his head with a vector. She looked at him in a (cute) serial killer look "Got you~!"
'At this point I'm afraid to ask what she's gonna do with-'
Alex's head was torn from his body and she brought it to her arms as his body fell to the ground pooling of blood. Doing a quick screw twirl in the air and landing softly on her feet as she felt happy at winning at last
Rejoincing in a sick glee of victory, she hugged the head between her arms and bit down on a hair strand of Alex's head
She would look absolutely kawaii if she wasn't carrying a chopped head. Sitting down on her knees she tighten her grip at the glee of winning against that machine
"Finally I got you jumpy roach! I-I can't believe it took me-!"
"Psst"
Lucy heard that and almost jumped from the sound. Sharpening her eyes, scouting the area for that sound echo only brought her a headache. Founding nothing she stood up and decided to hear what or who could that be
"I like the view but can.. you like NOT" Alex growled and mumbled plastered on her chest. Lucy grabbed the head and threw it to his body, only for it to raise a hand to grab his head "You look cute doing that not killing stuff. Could you perhaps snap out of it and you know... CHILL THE FUCK OUT!!" He shouted
Lucy growled "You... Damned monster! Can anything kill you!?"
The head laughed as its body stood up and slapped it back to the severed stump of a neck "Not that I have found... Hey you-oh you bleeding out?"
Lucy let a huff out hearing such nonsense "I won't quit-t! I-"
She was trembling in the knees and Alex could see the tank top she had was turning red in the center there...and there... "You need to quit. I'm here to help not end you Lucy."
Her pink hair flowed as the air picked up. Lucy looked at Alex's eyes to surely find the lies of his words, instead of that they reflected one thing: concern. She had been fighting him and tearing parts of him with glee yet he planned to keep helping her
The stare in Lucy's eyes became less fragmented and insane, now she was gaining back her normal self "Why should I trust you!? How can I relax with so many damn humans alive!? Why can't you leave me alone and go live in a hole!?" Asked a scratchy loud Lucy
That question reached him 'Hmm. Why am I helping her?' Alex raised his arms in the air and walked towards her. Lucy summoned her vectors behind her in instinct of fear at the hammerfist "Don't come closer!" She warned with crazy eyes. He kept course to her taking the smallest of steps, a slow move that guaranteed his message. There was a 100% chance that she would not attack-
*SLICE* 'Dammit my lucky finger!'
A 99% chance that THAT was not going to happen. Lucy kept her arms on still threatened until taking a glance of his hypnotic eyes, it relaxed her from using her ability but not her stance
"Stay there! Don't come closer" she shouted at him still angered, tears pooled in the rims of her eyes. Alex nodded a no and kept going now lowering his arms to a hug. The diclonius was nervous at what he could be trying to do, another side of her however wanted to let him come and see what he wanted...feel what he planned to do.
"Please just- Don't! I-I-" Lucy stampered for a short while before Alex brought her to a hug. A very needed one.
She attempted to push him or pry his hands away using her vectors but that strength faded with Alex's calm unmoving demeanor now cleansing the evil of her eyes
Little by little the struggle of the vectors ceased from attempting to pry him open and instead continued to smack/punch his chest or push against it "Don't console me! I wanted to kill you right now...bu-but its like you don't get the message! Stop hugging me! I don't need pitty! I-!"
Alex connected the hug fully touching her back to bring her close to his chest and kept it strong as Lucy was now trying to pull and push his head to get leverage. A couple of tears streamed down her futileness now feeling the anger and rage within cool down to let in regret and a little emotion that made her feel weird
"I don't care. I still want to heal you Lucy. Tear a limb or two, whatever. I can always heal. But just once in my life I want to be the one healing someone else rather than my own damn self" he whispered into her ear "I want to be there for you. Could you let me try?"
The air and everything around her stopped in a single second. The sounds of sirens, fire, and electric wires faded out for her at hearing those words. Her eyes returned to absolute normal at the sincerity of that message. They began to burn like her nose was doing as well 'I-I-I don't deserve this!' Lucy shunt her burning eyes from emotion bubbling up to the surface. The loss of energy on Lucy just let her relax from trying to push him away to accept and return the hug.
The area became silent as it all drowned in comparison to the feeling the both of them created. Lucy smiled through the tears while Alex side grinned looking at each other from the embrace
His jacket flared red while Lucy's vectors connected to his glowing red mark without them knowing. The moment grew even more beautiful as the sky began to clear to let a ray of sun illuminate them
Petals of roses and leafs of trees surrounded them in a whirlwind of air around their precious moment (caused by the mayhem)
Neither of them knew what this was or how it happened but they hoped it will always happen if they stayed together. They layed their heads down to each other and rested there in the hug
Life felt just a little more bearable. If it was with each other then things could be better. No matter the situation or danger in the future, what better way than-
"Knockout" Alex whispered
Lucy raised her head from the crook of his neck "what?"
"Uh no nada! Its just ah- we better go." Alex side tracked now seeing cops coming into view from the corner of a blown up building
She nodded and without warning jumped to his back "Let's go then!"
Alex almost fell forward at her sudden act but he regained footing as he began to run away. The two of them remained silent as the cops and a helicopter were coming into the battle site filled with corpses
He jumped up a building and then hyper-jumped to gain air time to dash "Hold on. I'mma get us some place new Lucy." He warned her, receiving a nod and fixing herself on him as he glided above the city.
She was not one of guilt. Yet something made her uncomfortable thinking of the slaughter she made down there. She wondered if it was that but thinking about it, the human kill count was not her concern. What was remained a mystery as she looked to the back of his head
