I was sitting in Clara's room wondering about yesterday when I spotted Mike and Mariah. I thought Mike did not like her. She is one of those girls who spread shit about me. What the hell was Mike doing with her.
"VERONICA! ARE YOU LISTENING." Clara shouted.
"What-wh..sorry I was thinking something." I said.
"What is wrong Veronica? I have been noticing you from past couple of days you used to tell everything and now I dont know whats up with you." she said sitting next to me. I told her everything I could from meeting Alex till Mike and Mariah.
"And you are telling me this now?" she said and slapped my shoulder.
"Sorry?" I said. She came and hugged me.
"Chill, maybe its some project or something because of which they are meeting ." She said trying to comfort me I just shrugged my shoulders.
Later we went to a mall trying to build up my mood. I saw so many clothes, shoes, make up, etc, but nothing seemed to be worthy my time.
"Listen Veronica... I know you are in a bad mood but just shrug it off for now. Thinking about all of this won't help." Clara said. I just nodded my head and entered Starbucks. I sat there with her in silence for sometime and then my phone started ringing. It was Mike.
"Hey, tin pie, waddup?" he said as cheerfully as possible.
"Nothing." I replied and saw Clara getting irritated and telling me to tell him the matter. Is she serious? I can't be like a jealous bitch and ask him what he was doing with Mariah.
"What's wrong?" Mike asked.
"None of your concern." I said and hung up the phone. God! what is wrong with me? Why am I being like this?
"You are an fucking idiot. You are showing him something is wrong and now he is not going to let it go easily, you just had to be casual and ask him what is going on and instead you just yell at him and cut the phone. Wow." she almost yelled and me. Now I lost it.
"I don't know okay? I don't want us to talk about it. I don't want this Mariah to fill shit in Mike's brain. You know it, she knows everything that happened with Alex." I said frustratingly and Clara just nodded. We ordered some coffee and went home. I was sitting on my bed watching some Netflix, my phone started ringing.
"Hey Veronica, wanna watch some movie together?" Kevin said.
"I am not in a mood." I said.
"Oh come on, don't tell me you are thinking about last night." he said sounding really obvious.
"Umm...I-
"I am picking you up. bye" with this he hung up the phone. He is so stubborn.
After about 20 minuted he was standing outside my gate. I just casually walked towards him and sat in the car. I didn't even said a Hi.
"Can we please cut off that movie plan and instead go somewhere I can talk to you." I said and saw his face he looked kinda confused but nodded and started the car.
We reached at some park with a small cafe in the center of it. We went towards the bench and sat there.
"I was in 9th grade. I met this boy,Alex. He was this cute and funny guy all girls fell for. He became my best friend. He was someone I looked upto in every problem. We were so close that whenever I had some shity problem he would be there solving it like it was his problem. He shifted the house right opposite to mine. We became more attached and day by day all the girls in our school started talking to me so that they have a chance with Alex. But, whenever someone did that I left so hurt. I felt like someone is taking something I deserve. One day I saw Alex lying on the road when I was returning to my home from the retail store. He was all drunk and beaten up. I went up to him and with a lot of effort carried him to my home. He was lying on my bed when he pulled me and told me that he loves me. He told me he loved me from the first day we met. Everything about him seemed so true. He slept there. Next day I was going to talk to him about all this when I saw him kissing someone, Mariah. Everything inside me suddenly broke into tiny pies. I was heartbroken. I didn't know what to do. The same night I got a message from Mariah. Saying that Alex is hers and I should stay away from him. The same night Alex came to my house and...." I was going to continue when I started crying I cried my lungs out and Kevin hugged me tightly. I don't know what to do I was feeling so weird. I can't remember all this. I was feeling so dizzy, suddenly everything just blanked out.
