*Liam's POV*
Bad move.
"Uhh," Maya nervously starts.
"You know what--nevermind," I shrug.
Maya nods to Sara and faces me,"Henry's my ex."
I develop a frown.
"But it's over," Maya turns off her phone and puts it in her pocket.
"Well I better get going--homework," Sara says.
"I thought you said that your dad approved..?" Alex asks Sara.
"He did--I do have homework though," Sara answers Alex.
"Oh ok," Alex says, playing minor chords, as Sara walks off.
"But what happened between you and this Henry guy..?" I ask Maya.
She shrug.
"Man, I don't think Maya's comfortable--" Maya cuts off Alex.
"No, Alex--it's fine," Maya assures. "So apparently..my friend, Claire, likes Henry, and Henry likes me--and her.."
"Ohh the usual love triangle," I comment.
"Don't you love you them?-but I ended it. I told him that Claire can have him and that we're just friends," Maya explains the rest of the story.
"Then why does he keep texting you..?" I ask her.
"It's probably just," Maya checks her phone," ..Henry.."
*Maya's POV*
Ugh.
"Well guys, I don't wanna interrupt your little talk," Alex says, walking off.
Henry: plz can we work this out..
Me: I told u, we're just friends...
Henry: look we cant be friends
Me: ...
Henry: not after saturday
Me: ur right
Henry: cmon pls can we all just talk ab this
Me: I already did--claire & u
Henry: that isnt possible when I like u too
Me: then u make the decision smart one
Henry: fine I will
I sigh," Finally.."
"What?" Liam asks.
"He finally decides to make a choice," I roll my eyes.
"Smart of him," Liam scoffs. "But you know you didn't have to do that, right?"
"..do what?--oh well, Sara and I couldn't see a dream unfulfilled," I explain to him.
"I appreciate it," Liam smiles," How can I repay you..?"
I scoff," It's fine.."
"It seems like this Henry guy is causing you a little stress--Starbucks after school--now..?" Liam offers.
"Nah," I pass up his offer.
He shoots me a look. "I'll pay.."
I roll my eyes playfully," Fine.."
--Starbucks--
"Don't tell me you're singing another song--I thought you already broke your fingers with Young & Foolish..?" I ask him.
He chuckles,"My friend is stressed out--do you think I'd just let you have your drink without a little jam?"
I giggle, as I ask for a green tea sweetened.
A few seconds later, I get my tea and sit down on a nearby sofa. Liam sits down next to me and smiles. "Ready?"
I nod.
He looks into my eyes, as he finishes the last chord. I look into his eyes.
"Maya..I'm sorry if that was a little on edge--" Liam starts apologizing.
"To be honest, that was better than Alex's original," I say, while still looking into eyes.
He laughs," Thanks. I tried.."
I shoot him a quick smile.
"Maya, how much did you like this Henry dude--if you don't mind me asking..?" Liam changes the topic.
I shrug," He was my first date, first kiss..ugh, I wasted so much time with him--that month and half.." I roll my eyes.
"Aww," he awes.
"But Liam, why do you care so much--we only met you on Sunday," I point out.
He scratches his neck,"...you don't deserve a guy like that, Maya. You deserve the best.."
"You still didn't answer my question, Alex," I use a pun and his new nickname to answer my question.
He finally wakes up," But I just answered your question..."
"But you barely known me..!" I remind him.
"I don't know..it seems like we've known each other since...the beginning of the year," he shrugs.
"Well I appreciate you trying to cheer me up, ALEX," I tease him, as I embrace him into a hug.
"Maya..I like you," he whispers into my ear.
*Sara's POV*
Homework--nope. I'm sorry, Alex--but I gotta study for SATs, they're only a few months away..I wanna be ready.
"Still dating Alex, honey?" Mom asks, coming into the kitchen.
I nod," Yes, Mom."
"SATs are coming up--you plan on prepping..?" Mom asks me, boldly.
"That's what I'm doing right now, Mom," I roll my eyes.
"Where's Maya..?" She asks.
"She went to get some coffee."
"Ok.." She walks off.
*Liam's POV*
I'm an idiot.
"But I know that you aren't in the best state right now," I add.
She nods, agreeing. "But Alex..there could be a possibility.."
I develop a smile and chuckle, strum Young & Foolish.
"Are you trying to convince me that you're foolish, young Alex," she jokes, laughing.
"Sure, Sara," I tease her back.
"She may be my best friend--but I'm no singer--just a hobby," Maya rambles.
"Ooh let's hear some," I encourage.
She shakes her head," Nah, I'm not that good.."
I strum the some of Why.
"That was amazing!" I gasp.
She giggles," Thanks.."
We exchange smiles. I lean and kiss her. She kisses back.
After a few seconds, we break apart, and I grab her hands.
You're right I am young and foolish.
*Alex's POV*
From what I just saw Miam is coming alive, that wasn't much of a surprise..speaking of..
Me: I hv a early Christmas present Sarbear
Sara: WHAT IS IT?
Me: meet me in 5
Sara: I hv to prep for SATs
Me: I promise it wont be long, & I'll help u in spanish if u want ;)
Sara: fine
--5 minutes later--
"You're gonna play another song, Youtube?" Sara asks, rolling her eyes playfully.
I look at my guitar and then Sara," Yeah, you gotta problem, shortie?" I giggle.
"Call me that one more time, and you're guitar won't be the only thing that'll break," Sara threatens, laughing.
I laugh,"I promised a surprise..I'll tell you after..I sing you a little song.." I tell her.
"This better be worth it," she murmurs.
Trust me, Sar. It'll be..
I start strumming the tune for "Magic Trick" and sing it. (Lyrics are in Chapter 42;)
"Alex, I think you're forgetting," she chuckles," that's my song."
I chuckle," I know. But what if the whole world got a chance to hear it..?"
"I'd be a musician!" Sara cheers.
"I talked to Hollywood Records.." Sara cuts me off.
She embraces me into an immediate hug.
"And they agreed to produce the song..and make a music video.." I struggle to finish, as Sara was still hugging me tight.
She finally lets go, smiling," I love you. I love you, Alex!" She kisses both sides of my cheek.
I smile, as she looks to the ground.
"I'll finally be..what I've dreamed of being," she sighs, still smiling.

*Sara's POV*
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS. HOLLYWOOD RECORDS--MUSIC VIDEO. THIS HAS TO BE A DREAM--I HAVE TO TELL MAYA.
Me: guess what?!
Maya: What?
Me: I GOT SIGNED TO HR & MAGIC TRICK IS GONNA HV ITS OWN VISUAL
Maya: OMGGG SISSSSSSSS
Me: yup anyways, hows starbucks?
Maya: Miam is official
