When I arrive to Dylan's apartment, I park my car on the street and took the stairs up to his floor. I knock on the door and waited. The door then opens and I see no Dylan but a familiar face from last Thursday.
"Cole, right?" I said.
"Yea, Josephina, correct?" he says and I smile because he remembered my name.
"Yes" I said.
"Come in" he says moving aside and I step into the apartment. It looks nothing like it did last Thursday. It was actually clean except for the few shoes around the door and a couple of basketballs and footballs scattered around the place. "Did you leave something here?" he ask and I turn to look at him. Cole's hair was messy at the top and he was wearing a Big Bang Theory shirt with khaki's.
"No, umm... is Dylan here?" I ask and he looks at me confused.
"You know Dylan?" he ask.
"No, not really. He... has my dog"
"Kinks is your dog?"
"Umm... yes" I said and he smiles then looks down.
"Dylan is not here. Would you like something to drink?"
"What do you have?" I ask.
"Umm... I'm drinking coffee"
"I'll take a cup, two sugar and one cream please"
"Of course" he said walking away to the kitchen. I look around the apartment and place my purse on the counter. "Oh! And kinks is probably sitting on Dylan's bed. His room is down the hall" Cole said.
"Down here?" I said pointing to the hallway. I knew where Dylan's room was but I didn't want Cole to know I knew.
"Yes" he smiles and I turn around and start walking down the hall. Dylan's door was opened and Kinks pops his head up as I enter the room.
"Hi boy" I said going to sit next to him and rub his head. I pick up his leg to see it was wrapped with new bandages. "Glad to see he's taking care of you" I said kissing the beautiful husky. I look around Dylan's room to see a bunch of paintings hanging up. I move away from the bed and walk to his wall and saw a painting of the car shop Dylan works at. I smile at it and read Dylan's signature at the bottom.
I look around his room to see a couple of shirts scattered on the floor. I look at his desk to see a bunch of papers bawled up. I pick up one, unfolding it to see the Yale logo and a congratulations intro on it. I look at it confused and pick up another one to see a Northwestern logo at the top and a congratulation intro. What the hell? He's actually... smart? Can't be that smart if he's not trying to go to any of these schools. I heard the door close and keys hit the counter in the kitchen. I put the papers down and turn to look at Kinks who was staring at me.
I hear talking and I look down the hall and I recognize that voice. Dylan was here. I kiss Kinks head and start to walk down the hall. Dylan and Cole were laughing about something as I approach them. Cole looks at me and Dylan's eyes follow and Dylan's smile leaves his face when he sees me.
"What are you doing here?" Dylan asked. I stare at him and start to bite my lip. Josephina, why are you here? You're here to see him obviously but you don't want him to know that.
"She came to hang with Kinks and I" Cole says and I look at him. "Here's your coffee Josephina" he adds and I smile and walk up to him. Cole hands me my coffee and I took a sip of it. The hot coffee warms my taste buds and I smile at Cole.
"Thank you" I said.
"You guys know each other?" Dylan ask and I turn around and look at him. He leans on the counter and his chin rest in his hand.
"Yea man" Cole said.
"How'd you guys meet?" Dylan ask and his face goes into a smirk.
"The party last Thursday" Cole said and they stare at each other.
"Do you guys like each other or something?" Dylan ask.
"We might..." Cole answers taking a sip of his coffee. Dylan laughs then shakes his head.
"Right..." Dylan says turning around. He pulls his shirt off while walking to his room and I catch a glimpse of his back and I hurry to look down. I look back at Cole and he was reading from his phone.
"Thank you" I said and he looks at me.
"No problem. So let me guess you're here for Dylan and not Kinks" he said and I look down. "If you don't mind me asking, did you guys..." he says and I shoot my eyes up at him. He lifts his eye brown and I knew what that meant.
"No! No! Not at all! I'm not that type of person!" I defend myself. Although we came close to almost doing something but it was nothing. He laughs and takes another sip of his coffee.
"Can I tell you something?"
"Of course"
"You seem like a really great person. Dylan doesn't fall for girls easily. His last girlfriend was years ago and I wouldn't even call what they had a relationship. He was basically using her and she was so obsessed with him, she didn't realize it till he told her" he said staring at me.
"I don't like him like that. He seems like a fun person to be around, that's all" I said and Cole laughs and shakes his head.
"What are we talking about?" Dylan says emerging into the kitchen again. He had changed into some grey sweatpants and a familiar dark blue shirt.
"We're talking about what we're going to watch" Cole says and Dylan looks at me.
"She's going to watch something with you?"
"Why are you saying it like I never watch TV?" I ask.
"You don't have to get fitted for the ball or something?" he says smirking and Cole laughs. I roll my eyes and took a sip of my coffee. "What are we watching?" Dylan says opening the fridge. I wanted to be sarcastic back and tell him he's not invited to watch a movie with us. However, a little part of me got giddy inside that he was.
"Josephina you can pick" Cole says and I turn to look at him.
"Okay and you can call me Jo" I smile at him.
"Or my personal favorite... Jojo" Dylan butts in again. Cole laughs and picks up his phone.
"I'll order some subs?" he asked.
"Good" Dylan said drinking an energy drink. Cole disappears from the kitchen and I walk into the living room sitting down on the couch. I look at the table to see three remotes, a black one, grey one and a white one. I look back up to see one TV. What the hell? "It's this one" Dylan said picking up the black remote handing it to me.
"Thanks" I said turning the TV on. Immediately Netflix pops up and I see Dylan's profile, Cole's profile and Kids profile. I go over to new profile and start to put in my information.
"I guess just make yourself a new profile on my system..." Dylan said and I couldn't help to laugh a little. "I don't want to watch Gossip Girl"
"I'm not watching Gossip Girl" I said and Dylan sits down next to me placing his energy drink on the table. It amazes me how he stays smelling like soap and cologne.
"You okay?" he said and I look over at him and he's staring at me.
"Yea, why?"
"Because you're not flipping through anything" he said and I look back at the screen to see that the control was on Gossip Girl.
"Oh..." I said starting to flip through it.
"IT'S ORDERED!" Cole yells coming into the living room.
"Yo Cole, grab her drink" Dylan said.
"Okay, but what are we watching?" Cole says.
"I don't know she's taking too long" Dylan said grabbing the remote out of my hand. Cole sets my coffee on the table and snatches the remote out of Dylan's hand.
"And she can take as long as she wants" Cole said handing me the remote back and I smile at him.
"Thank you" I said and he sits on the other side of me. I continue to flip through the selections when I came across One Tree Hill.
"No way in hell" Dylan said and Cole and I start laughing. I continue to flip through.
"We should watch a series, so we all can watch it together" I said.
"Why? Are you about to be coming over a lot?" Dylan ask.
"Maybe..." I smile at the TV. I stop on Vampire Diaries. "I want to watch this..." I say and Cole starts laughing.
"Vampires? Are you shitting me? Give me the remote" Dylan says.
"I only watched like the first season and it's not all romance, there's a lot of action and killing in it" I said.
"No" Dylan says and Cole continues to laugh.
"Okay, let's vote. All those that say yes?" I said raising my hand. Cole lifts his hand and I smile at him then look back at Dylan.
"Cole you sell out" Dylan said and Cole laughs.
"Vampire Diaries it is" I said playing the first episode.
