Daddy, slow down," I cried, looking at the road ahead of us. (A.N: say WOOHOO if you thought of something dirty.)

"Your brother is so stupid! How could he not think straight? I thought I gave him what he wanted!" He yelled. He was driving so fast and in the fast lane.  He was freaking me out. We were okay, and then he was mad and out of control.

"Daddy, please stop! You're going to get us both killed!" I tried to stop him, but he kept driving so fast. It was like something else possessed him that night, and he pretended I wasn't in the passenger.

"I'm sorry, Lia. I have to drive as fast as possible; after all, your brother deserves nothing because he just ruined our family." That was the last thing he said before we crashed into a truck.

Darkness consumed me, and the last thing I saw was my dad moving his lips as if I could hear a single word coming out of his mouth.

***
I woke up feeling heavy and empty at the same time. This memory was more like a flashback than a nightmare that woke me up in the middle of the night.

It didn't matter how often I tried to get rid of them; they kept returning to haunt me.

Those nightmares were only about the night that ruined my life. The night that changed who I am.

Before that night, I was an innocent little girl in daddy's world. My dad was everything to me. I woke up thinking about her dad. I slept while listening to his bedtime stories.

He was everything to me, and he was more than enough. He showed me how to live and how to be happy.

It was like he was my source to happiness, and now without him, this feeling has been gone for so long that I forgot how it felt.

How it felt to be happy.

I lived through my dad, and I lived for him. I became the best because of him, and he taught me everything I needed to know to survive.

He was the one who fixed my bike when I broke it for the hundredth time. He fixed everything for me, and now, he's not here anymore.

I let the tears roll down my cheeks, and I sob quietly, scared to wake my brothers up. They are all great brothers, but no one can replace my dad.

My mother died while giving birth to me, because she had too many kids which affected her health, but she longed for a girl.

So, even when the doctor had warned her multiple times about the pregnancy, but she kept refusing to abort us.

She had triplets. Alex, Anthony, and I.  She wanted my dad to have the girl he dreamt of, even though it costed him my mom's death.

I get up from the bed, and rush to the bathroom. I don't feel well, but I know I have to go to school.

I take a quick shower, and when I get out of the bathroom, I read the time on my phone.

5:36.

"Awesome," I sigh.

I grab my gray cargo pants with a white crop tube top, and open my other closet to take my gray oversized zip up jacket.

I straighten my hair, and I let it fall down my shoulder. I apply contour to hide the scars on my face, and I apply mascara to grow my eyelashes.

It's six o'clock when I finish, and I walk out of the room to prepare breakfast.

I find Alex sitting on the counter chair, shoving all of the food on his plate at once. Alex's golden blond hair that I wish for, and instead, I got my dark brown hair.

"Good morning," I say, sitting next to him.

Alex lifts his head up to look at me. "You're awake."

I roll my eyes. "I want to change my routine."

"Another nightmare?" Alex raises his eyebrows.

I bite my lip nervously. I hate that Alex knows me well to know that I don't usually wake up early to change my routine. "It's nothing."

"You need to see your therapist again," Alex sighs. "If you let yourself go, you might be like Jeffrey Dahmer."

I gasp, and punch his arm. "Shut up."

Alex usually wakes up at four to jog around the neighborhood with his best friend, and comes home at five to take a shower.

"Shut up, Owen came," Alex whispers, but loud enough for Owen to hear.

It is our thing to say that when one of our brothers enters the room, and we make them think that we are talking about something we don't want them to know or we're talking about them.

Owen rolls his eyes, and opens the fridge. He backs away, and looks at me strangely. "You're awake."

"Is it bad that I work up early today?" I groan.

"No, but it only means one thing," Owen goes back to the fridge. "Your nightmares are back."

"So, what?" I shrug. "They'll go away."

"I'm begging you if it gets worse, please tell me," Owen takes three eggs from the fridge. "Do you want boiled eggs?"

I shake my head. "I'll eat cereal like Alex. What? Are you scared that I'll be the next Jeffrey Dahmer?"

Owen laughs. "Jeffrey targeted men, and you're not gay."

I turn to look at Alex, and he looks at me. We laugh together, and turn to look at Owen. "I am a girl who likes men."

"Jeffrey was a psychopath," Owen cracks the eggs on a pan. "Are you a psychopath?"

"No, but according to Alex, if I don't go to the therapist, I might be like him."

Owen turns to look at us. "All I know is that Jeffrey didn't have any reason to be mentally ill. He had a living dad, but I don't know if his mom is alive or something."

"Why would we care?" Alex takes his plate to the sink. "There are more scary psychopaths than Jeffrey."

"Like Tony," I laugh when he comes down the stairs with his messy hair. He looks he just saw the scariest movie.

"Who?" Tony yawns, sitting next to me. "Who are we talking about?"

"Jeffrey," I reply, standing up to get a bowl. "Do you want something to eat?"

"Jacob is picking me up," Tony shakes his head, rubbing his eyes. "We're going to school early to practice, so we're buying breakfast on the way."

"Aren't you going with them?" Owen asks Alex.

"Yeah," he nods. "I am eating breakfast twice."

"All that running and exercising are for nothing," I joke.

"And who's taking you?" Owen asks me. "I have to be at the station in thirty minutes. I have a twenty-four shift today."

"Chance."

"Why did dad and mom call him Chance?" Alex laughs. "The weirdest name."

I roll my eyes. "As if Alex isn't a weird name."

"No, it's a common name," Alex sticks his tongue out at me.

"A common name for boys and girls," I wiggle my eyebrows. "Tony, why don't you go and brush your hair?"

"I did," Tony looks at me.

"When? Last year?"
