Following is pretty magical.
One moment this person is a complete stranger with a sick profile pic, the next you're a certified stalker. Wattpad tells you everything that they post, write, or divulge. Awesome or what?
Here's what you should be using follows for:
1) Checking out what your new BFF's up to (stalking)
2) Checking out what your new BFF's writing (stalking)
3) Checking out your new BFF's Wattpad BFF's (more stalking targets. YAY!)
Here's what following is not meant to be used for:
1) "Hey, I followed you. Can you check out my work?" And all variations therein. (Notice how there's no stalking involved? If stalking's not involved, you shouldn't be following that person)
Ladies and gentlemen, following is an opportunity to stalk someone with impunity. Why on earth would you waste a follow on someone you aren't interested in stalking?
More importantly, if you follow someone it's up to them to check out your work. It's their call, their choice. They are being stalked after all. Give them a little bit of respect.
