I tried to tell myself
"There's no need to hate yourself to better yourself "
But these voices weren't listening.
These eyes filled with disgust
Weren't paying attention to my pleading cries

The mirror.
Oh that mirror only amplified this self hate.
I'm drowning
Drowning in the hate I have for myself,
Not just my body fat.
Yes, that's a fact.

This hate seems to have stemmed from that fat
And form roots that these thoughts water and these eyes...
These eyes provide the sunlight.
Sunlight for this hate to grow.

This suffocating self hate.
The only thing I have come to know.
The only thing I find comfort in.
I know its wrong.
They always say:
"Don't fall in love with your darkness, your solitude"
But what if this darkness
this lonely despair
Is all you've ever known.
What do you do then?
What do you fall in love with?
Yourself?
That's not even an option.
Not when you are filled
With so much imperfection.
While this darkness is Perfect in it's Blackness.
So perfect
That there isn't any light at the end of this tunnel
And if there was,
It would be an in coming train.
Perfect in it's Blackness.
So now
Now
I'll become perfect in my own blackness
As this darkness takes over me
comforts me
conforms me
To simplistic dark beauty.
Maybe then...
Then i'll be able to say:
"I'm Happy".
