"You sure your friend is good with us staying?" Danny asks me for the millionth time.
"If Sara's BEST friend won't let us stay with her, then she's not her best friend at all," Ava backs me up.
I roll my eyes at Danny. "And is someone jealous?" I smirk.
Ava just shakes her head. Probably.

Message from Maya: u here yet sis?
"Just around the corner," Danny pointing at the map.
I nod.

Me: almost
Maya: I cant wait to show u nyc!
Me: I already came 2x
Maya: aw well we can still hangout
Me: ik in PERSON & actually TALK

"201, right?" Danny says.
I give me a look. I ring the doorbell.
Please don't open the door, Mrs. Troutman or Mr. Troutman, or else I'm dead. Both of us.
*Maya's POV*
OMG, it's my sis!
"Maya, who's that at the door?" Mom asks.
"Friends from school, we're doing a project for Social Studies," I lie.
"Alright, just don't be too loud. Since Dad's working," she reminds.
"I know, Mom," I remind her, walking to the door. I open the door for everyone.
"Hey, Maya," Sara starts up a conversation IN REAL LIFE.
"Hey, Sara," I replay back.
"So.." Sara nervously giggles. "This is Ava and Danny," she points to them one by one.
"Hi," Ava and Danny greet in unison.
"I have to show you something," I tell her, cover her eyes. Dava follows.
I lead her into my room. "I know since I ruined yours, I'll make up for it," I release her eyes.
She opens her eyes and gasps. "Yes, a bay window!" She immediately sits down and dreamily sighs.
"I knew you would love it," I smirk, crossing my arms.
"Should we leave Riley and Maya alone for a little bit..?" Ava asks with a weirded out expression.
"Ava, give them a break. They've been texting for the past.." Danny tries to defend, but pauses.
"8 months," Sara jumps in.
"Ya, I get it," Ava dully says.
"You're not very positive are you?" I ask Ava.
"I am. But it's just...all this talk about Alex is making me sick," Ava fake gags.
"How about we just go?" Danny suggests, eyeing if it's ok. I nod.
Dava leave the room.
I sit down next to Sara.
"So.." Sara tries to start a conversation, nervously giggles.
"..so Alex's performing tomorrow?" I ask her, just to start a conversation.
"Yup," she answers.
"Did you memorize your lyrics yet?" I ask her. She probably did.
"It's all stuck in my head from that night," Sara dreamily sighs.
"You must really like Alex," I chuckle.
"Ya," she dreamily chuckle. "Wait do you have front row?"
"No," I frown.
"I think I have another surprise in mind," Sara giggles to herself.
"I wonder what it is," I joke.
"But seriously I got something in mind," Sara chuckles.
"Well I cant wait for what magic will happen tomorrow," I drift off.
"It'll be a night you'll remember," Sara assures.
"It sure will. But are you ok, Sarbear?" I ask her with her nickname.
*Sara's POV*
I don't know why I'm worried..about the show tomorrow. I mean I'm excited, but worried. If that makes any sense.
"Can I not make sense for a second?" I ask her with a small chuckle.
"Sure," she giggles.
"I'm excited," I smile. "..at the same time, I'm nervous--scared." I see Maya's face lit up. "No puns right now."
Her lighten up her face lowered. "Well why are you scared..?"
"I...have a feeling," I tuck a strand of hair behind my ear. "that Sabrina likes Alex."
"Sara, they're just friends," Maya chuckles.
"But--"
"Everyone ships Sabrina with every boy they see with her," Maya explains. "Remember when it was rumored that Corbrina was alive?"
"But this is different," I counter. "Sab and Alex are on tour together. Corey and Sab are just really good friends."
"If Alex says that Sab and him are just friends, then why don't you just be happy?" Maya asks.
"I..don't know," I snap into realization.
"Just be happy," Maya advises. "I mean you get to sing with Alex, and you met Sab!"
"True," I agree with a developing smile.
We hug.
"Anyways, how'd you get here?" Maya changes the topic.
"...lots of lying," Sara giggles.
"Maya vibes," Maya laughs.
"I...I get it," I break into laughs. "So how was your day?"
"Good. But what's going with Danny and Ava?" Maya changes the topic.
"They love each other," I tell her with a laugh.
"Aww, just like you and Alex," Maya relates to Salex.
*Ava's POV*
"Ava, what's wrong?" Danny asks me for the millionth time.
"Sara and Alex..." I gag.
"What's wrong about them?" Danny asks. "They love each other."
"It's Alex..Sara deserves better," I confess. I'm sorry, Sara. But he's a burnt burrito from Chipotle.
"That's Sara's decision," Danny says. "But what's really wrong. Is it Sara's friend?"
"..I mean I guess she's ok," I give him an uncomfortable look.
"If she's a friend of Sara's, shouldn't we at least try to be her friend too?" Danny suggests.
"Fine," I reluctantly agree, placing my head on his shoulder. "I'm only agreeing because I love you--Sara."
"And as do I," Danny agrees.

Sara: u lovebirds done making out?

*Maya's POV*
"What's srank?" I giggle, looking at Sara's message to Ava.
"It's complicated," Sara breaks out into laughs.
"Just like my life," I joke.
"Relatable," Sara agrees.

Not my phone. Must be Sara's.
Sara pulls out her phone. Looks like an Instagram notification.
"Ooh, you turned Alex's post notifications?" I smirk.
"It's not he doesn't for mine," she hugs her phone and dreamily sighs.
"Your salex love," I giggle.
"You're fate moments with Sarah Gilman," Sara tries to shoot back.
"She doesn't even know me. Just because of our birthdays, fashion sense, and job preferences are basically doesn't mean anything," I explain.
"Aw, fine," Sara gives up.
"Ok, we're back," Danny says, dragging Ava along with him.
"Did someone have a good makeout session? Ava looks a lot better?" Sara jokes.
I giggle along.
"Omg, what did she tell you?" Danny asks.
You have no idea.
"But anyways, how's Alex, Sari-Honey?" Ava teases.
I'm surprised Alex didn't think of that nickname yet.
"It's good. But I'm surprised he hasn't texted me yet," Sara confesses.
"Aww," we all coo.
"Seriously, you two?" Sara asks me annoyed.
"Sorry I really ship it," I nervously giggle.
"I can see that," Sara giggles.
"I ship the friendship," Ava blurts.
"Mara for life," Danny agrees.
Sara and I exchange looks and laughs.
"But I wonder who Alex is texting?" Ava tries to make a pun.

Sarbear starts giggling. Ah its so nice to see her smile.
*Sara's POV*
Alex finally texts me after a millions years today.
Alex: hey sari honey, tonight's the show & I hope somehow u'll show up even tho u wont :( Anyways I just wanted to talk before my big opening. So did u get to ur fieldtrip place & how is it?
"He actually believes that you're on a fieldtrip," Ava giggles. "I thought he looked like a burrito, he's dumber than I thought."
Danny nudges her elbow. "If Sara loves him, support her. Not bring her down about her boy."
"Fine, only because you said so," Ava grabs his hands. They stare into each other eyes.
"Wait..looks like he texted 5 minutes ago," Maya says, looking closely.
"Oh, well I must've saw it and kept it on read," I laugh.
"Well answer," Maya says, giving me a "I better do it quickly" look.
I nod.
Me: hey, martini genie. Aw, don't be sad, I'll always be w/ u & it's going good.
Alex: glad ur having fun
Me & Alex: I just wish u were here
Me: wow that was so in sync
Alex: but its tru, I wish u were here :(

Maya giggles, coming closer looking at me phone. "I still cant believe he's buying this whole thing."
"To think the famous Martin Alexander would be smart enough to figure out a trick when he sees on," I joke.
"Reply, before he gets suspicious," Maya whispers.

Danny and Ava are still busy looking into each other's eyes.
"They must really love each other," Maya says, looking at them one more time to make it official.
"Just like Riley and Maya," I add.
