Madison P.O.V:

"So, that's how my first day went," I recounted every detail to Sash, starting from the moment I stepped into the office. Sash listened keenly, a wide smile never leaving her face.

"M, I can bet my life on it! I have such good vibes about you two..." Sash began, but I cut her off.

"Sash, please, just stop. There's nothing like that. Whatever you assume, nothing will happen," I said firmly.

"Let's see. I'm sure of it. You two will be the best couple on earth," she teased. Later, as we settled in to watch a scary movie, I found myself clutching a pillow to my face in fear.

"OMG!! What a stupid movie... I'm not going to sleep tonight," I exclaimed, feeling genuinely spooked.

"M, we need to go out and get some milk and groceries," Sash called from the kitchen.

"No, I don't want to leave the house. I'm scared," I protested.

"Okay, then I will..." she began, but before she could finish, I changed my mind.

"No, wait, I'm coming," I relented, not wanting to be alone. We hurriedly gathered our things and headed out.

We go get all the stuff needed for the entire week and then walk back to home.

As we walked, I couldn't shake the feeling of being followed.

"Sash, don't you think some guy is following us?" I whispered nervously. She glanced back and gasped, her eyes widening in surprise.

"OMG, M, you won't believe who's behind us," she exclaimed, a grin spreading across her face.

I turned to look and saw Ben. I didn't know what to do. My mind raced with thoughts.

"M, he has something in his hand... some sharp tools," Sash whispered, her voice tinged with panic.

"Calm down, maybe he has some nearby work," I reassured her, trying to stay composed.

"We're going to turn left soon, and if he follows, then he's definitely following you," she observed, a mischievous smile playing on her lips.

"Okay," I agreed, feeling a mix of nervousness and curiosity.

We turned left, and I quickened my pace, relieved when Ben didn't follow us. But then, to my horror, Sash announced that he was right behind us.

"That's enough. Do you think I'm scared of him?" I declared, feeling a rush of courage. I turned around and marched towards him.

"Enough! What do you think of yourself? Do you think you can scare me?" I confronted him, my heart pounding in my chest.

Before I could finish, he silenced me with his hand over my mouth.

My heart skipped a beat as I gazed into his dark, mesmerizing eyes, feeling a strange pull towards him. He was so close, I could feel his warm breath against my skin.

"Will you just shut up for once? Seriously, why do you assume everything? Did you really think I would kidnap you just because you called me an idiot?" he admonished, his voice gentle yet firm.

I was speechless, lost in his gaze, feeling a connection I couldn't explain.

He removed his hand, and I struggled to compose myself. "Oh, I am..." I began, but he interrupted me.

"Just enough. You've talked too much for today. Bye, Ms. Keller," he said, walking away.

Sash and I returned home in silence, my mind reeling from the encounter.

"Dude, OMG, you two look so adorable together. I wish I had captured that moment," Sash gushed, excitement evident in her voice.

"Seriously, Sash, I'm scared. I don't know how I'm going to face him tomorrow," I admitted, feeling overwhelmed.

"Oh, it's 'maden'!" Sash exclaimed excitedly.

"What do you mean, Sash?" I asked, puzzled.

"I shipped your names! 'Maden' is perfect! 'Ma' for Madison and 'Ben' for, well, Ben," she explained, singing "maden" repeatedly.

As I woke up the next day, thoughts of facing Mr. Williams consumed my mind. Today was going to be a very long day indeed.

Ben Williams' P.O.V:

I settled into my cabin and started working, but thoughts of Madison lingered in my mind. Moments later, she appeared at my door.

"Mr. Williams, please, I just need 10 minutes of your time. I really want to talk to you," she pleaded.

"Okay," I agreed, inviting her to take a seat.

"Mr. Williams, please, forget about what happened. Let's just be normal, or even friends," she asked.

"Yesterday morning, I panicked, and I said things I didn't mean. The whole incident was a misunderstanding, and I know it's my fault," she confessed, her voice tinged with regret.

"Mr. Williams, you're definitely not an idiot or stupid. You're really nice, good, super handso..." she trailed off, unable to complete her sentence. I couldn't help but smile at her awkwardness.

"Ms. Keller, I think you stopped abruptly. Please continue," I encouraged her.

"Yeah, I mean, no, sorry, I forgot the adjective," she stammered.

I chuckled softly.

"Thank God you finally smiled. I was really worried yesterday, but now I'm alright. So, we're on good terms now, right?" she asked, her eyes pleading for reassurance.

"Yeah, I guess so, Ms. Keller," I replied, smiling.

"Since we're friends now, please, call me Madison," she requested.

"And if I have to call you Madison, you have to call me Ben," I countered playfully.

We chatted about our families and work, and after a while, Madison returned to her cabin.

As I watched her leave, I couldn't help but feel that she was truly a nice girl.

Madison's P.O.V:

I felt relieved and happy as I left Ben's office. I called Sash after work.

"Sash, where are you? It's 5:00; we need to leave," I reminded her, waiting near the parking area.

"M, I haven't finished my work yet. I'll take a cab; you can go," she replied.

"It's okay, take your time. I'll go to the music room in our quarter. Call me when you're done," I said, stepping into the elevator and heading to the 11th floor.

Once there, I locked myself in the music room and started playing the piano, losing myself in the music.

Ben Williams' P.O.V:

Before leaving my cabin, I remembered that I'd left my glasses in the music room earlier that day. As I headed towards the elevator, I noticed that it was unavailable due to someone being in the music room. I took an alternate route and arrived at the 11th floor.

The sound of a piano filled the air as I approached the music room floor. Mesmerized by the beautiful melody, I continued walking, drawn to the source of the music.

Then, I heard a voice singing along — a voice so enchanting, it took my breath away.

Lost in the moment, I reached the music room door just as the music stopped. I quickly opened the door, hoping to catch a glimpse of the mysterious musician.

But to my disappointment, the elevator doors closed just as I entered the room, masking my view of the person inside.

I felt a shooting pain of regret as I realized I'd missed the chance to see who the talented musician was.

Nonetheless, I left the building with a newfound sense of curiosity, eager to uncover the identity of the person behind the mesmerizing voice.

As the day unfolded, I couldn't shake the memory of that magical moment in the music room. It left me yearning for more, eager to unravel the mystery of the captivating musician.
