Lea's POV
"Rina?"ako
I creased my forehead then put down my glass of water on the table to follow her in a dark place.
"Rina!"ako
She walked faster and I'm almost running just to chase her which is very hard for me to do so because I can't vividly see my surrounding.
"Rin-"ako
Biglang kumirot ang tiyan ko kaya bigla akong napahinto sa pagtakbo. I did even open my mouth when the pain on my lower belly became worse.
"Hahahahahaha!"Rina
I blinked then looked at her who's laughing like an evil right now.
"T-tulong."ako
Napahawak ako sa pader at pumikit dahil sa sobrang sakit na nararamdaman ko. Parang binibiyak ang tiyan ko sa sobrang sakit.
"H-help! Please!"ako
I started crying habang nakahawak sa tiyan ko when I suddenly felt that something is flowing on my thighs that made me look down.
"N-no."ako
I closed my eyes but what I can only hear is her laughter.
"Nooo!!!"ako
I woke up while gasping for air. Naramdaman ko rin na basa ang pisngi ko.
"Hey! Are you all right?!"Aga
He worriedly asked while looking at me, I think he was the one who woke me up. I didn't answer him, instead I placed my hand on my belly and tightly closed my eyes knowing that I am safe, the baby's safe.
"Hey."Aga
He wiped my cheeks.
"What was in your dream?"Aga
I started tearing up when I remembered my dream. So, I encircled my arms on his nape because I can still feel how I scared I was in my dream, nightmare perhaps.
"Sshh, hon. It's okay. I'm just here."Aga
I just cried on his shoulder then wiped my cheeks afterwards. Medyo nawala na rin ang kaba at takot ko because of his safe hug and comforting words.
"Do you want to tell me now? If it's ok, but if not I am not forcing you to."Aga
I sniffed then momentarily looked down to wipe my cheeks.
"It was Rina."ako
I looked at him then tried my best to tell him what my dream is all about.
"She was there. She was... laughing. And it was so dark. Tapos bigla kong naramdaman na sumakit ang tiyan ko. A-and-and then, and then I felt a liquid, a blood, flowing on my thighs."ako
I sobbed when I remembered it again.
"It felt real, Aga. I was so scared. I can still feel it in my heart until now."ako
He hugged me again then caressed my hair.
"My baby, Aga. Our baby."ako
I cried while caressing my stomach with my thumb.
"I am here, Lei. I am here. I won't let her do anything to you and our baby, ok? It won't happen. It was just a dream. It won't happen. Kasama mo 'ko, I'm going to protect you from her."Aga
I just nodded and stayed in his arms until I don't feel scared anymore. He's right, it was just a dream. And I am safe as long as I am with him. And I won't also let her hurt anyone of us.
Aga's POV
"Come on, you should sleep. I'll look after you, I promise."ako
I said then smiled as I tucked her in bed because it's just 3 in the morning.
"I don't think I could sleep again."Lea
I brushed her hand with my hand then forced a smile.
"You just try. Come on, close your eyes. Babantayan ko kayo ni baby."ako
She nodded then held my hand before she closed her eyes. At katulad ng sinabi ko, binantayan ko siya hanggang sa makatulog siya at makaramdam din ako ng antok. I also felt scared and worried because of her dream, pero walang magagawa ang takot at pag-aalala ko dahil ang mas kailangan kong gawin ngayon ay maging matatag para masiguradong walang makakapanakit na kahit na sino sa pamilya ko.
Fast-forward...
Lea's POV
I looked at my reflection in the mirror and caressed my tummy. I am actually skeptical to continue the bridal shower, even Aga, pero ayaw ko namang pag-alalahanin ang iba.
"Mommy!"Sophia
She entered the room with a huge smile on her face that made me also put a smile on mine.
"Wow! Mommy, ang ganda mo po! Bagay na bagay sa 'yo ang dress!"Sophia
"Syempre! Ikaw ang pumili nito eh. Thank you, Soph."ako
I smiled at her then tucked her loose hair at the back of her ear.
"Mommy, are you okay?"Sophia
"Of course Mommy is okay. Let's go downstairs?"ako
She nodded her head twice. We left the room and went straight outside the house where Mang Felix is waiting for us.
"Mang Felix, pakuhanan naman po kami ng picture ni Mommy oh."Sophia
Sophia handed her phone to Mang Felix at ayun nga, we took few photos at umalis na rin.
"Sophia, no-"ako
"No any kind of alcohol. Just water, juice, or cola."Sophia
I laughed because of it.
"Ang galing talaga ng anak ko. Nasasaulo ang mga sinasabi ko."ako
"Syempre po! Kahapon niyo pa po 'yan sinasabi sa akin eh!"Sophia
I laughed. Hindi ko namalayan nawala na pala ang pag-aalala ko. Also, Aga called making sure that I am fine. I told him that I am so he won't have to worry. He also has to enjoy his bachelor party. Dapat nga siya ang maghahatid sa akin, but then I realized na he also needs to enjoy the day and not just worry about me.
Sophia kept me company by telling me stories about her friends and school until we reached the venue. All of them greeted us and I just had a short introduction so we could already enjoy the rest of the night.
"That's all and I hope for us to enjoy the night because we're here for that."ako
I chuckled as they clapped their hands for me. I stepdown from the platform while Wil is guiding me.
"Ang sexy, madzam! How to be sexy na buntis?"Wil
"Thank you, Wil. And why are you even here? 'Di ba sabi ko sa 'yo doon ka kila Aga?"ako
Biro kong tanong.
"My gosh! No way!Pagsasamantalahan lang nila ang kahinaan ko doon!"Wil
He said then rolled his eyes.
"Nahiya ako sa ganda mo, bakla. Pero ikot ka nga."Pauline
I turned around kasabay si Wil.
"Feelingero. You were not the one whom I asked to turn around. Si Ma'am!"Pauline
"I don't care! Eh sa trip kong mahilo eh, pake mo ba?"Wil
Pauline just sticked her tongue out to Wil that made me shook my head.
"Ang ganda mo talaga sa pula, Ma'am!"Ellaine
"Thank you, Elliane. You too also look good in your dress."ako
I smiled as we enjoyed the whole night with laughter. Also, tears.
"I couldn't believe it until now, na ako ang made of honor."Ellaine
Lumakas lalo ang iyak niya kaya lalo kaming nagtawanan. Well, she's already drunk.
I pursed my lips then glanced on my phone when it opened, a message from Aga. I got my phone and responded to his message saying that everything's going fine, doon din naman daw. I'm just really enjoying the night. And I hope it'd end really well.
Sophia's POV
"Mommy?"ako
Lumabas ako nang may nakita akong babaeng naka-pula na lumabas mula sa pinto. Mukhang si Mommy kaya sinundan ko. Dad told me that I should look after Mom which is what I will really do lalo na para sa kapatid ko. Mamaya kung mapaano si Mommy eh.
"Mom!"ako
Tatakbo na sana ako nang magulat ako sa pag-ring ng phone ko. Kaagad ko 'yong kinuha habang sinusubukan pa rin hanapin 'yung babae kanina, pero mukhang wala na. Baka hindi si Mommy at namalik-mata lang ako.
"Hello po, Daddy?"ako
"Hi, Soph! How are you guys there? Are you and your Mom ok?"Aga
Ngumiti ako bago tumango nang maalala kung gaano kasaya sa loob. Ang dami ko na kayang nakakain!
"Okay na okay po kami, Dad!"ako
"Ok, good to know. Are you with your Mom right now?"Aga
"Ahm, lumabas lang po ako saglit pero pabalik na rin po ako. I thought I saw Mom. Pero ikaw, Dad, kumusta ka po diyan? Ang ingay diyan ah!"ako
Natawa naman si Daddy habang ako naman ay naglalakad pabalik sa loob.
"Itong mga Tito mo eh, ang iingay. Lumayo na nga ako eh."Aga
"Haha! Ok lang po 'yan, Dad. Minsan lang naman po. Enjoy lang po kayo ako na pong bahala kay Mommy."ako
"I cannot enjoy that much, wala kayo rito ng Mommy mo."Aga
"Hm! Ito naman si Daddy! Isang gabi lang, eh! Bukas naman magkikita-kita po ulit tayo. Sige na, enjoy mo na po 'yan."ako
Napangiti naman ako nang marinig ko ang mahina niyang tawa.
"Oh sige na. Thank you, anak. I love you, please tell your Mom too. Just call me kapag may kailangan kayo, ok?"Aga
"Ok po, Dad. I love you rin po. Ingat!"ako
Nakangiti ko namang binaba ang cellphone ko at tuluyang bumalik sa may pool side kung nasaan sila Mommy.
"Soph! Come here!"Lea
Ngumiti ako at umupo sa tabi ni Mommy na excited nang naka-abang ang dalawang braso para sa akin.
"Panggigigilan mo na naman po ako eh."ako
"Hala! Hindi naman!"Lea
Sabi niya pero sabay kurot sa pisngi ko.
"Where have you been ba? I was looking for you! Sabi mo kukuha ka lang ng donut."Lea
"Oo nga po. Galing po ako doon kaso may nakita akong babaeng lumabas, akala ko po kayo. Nalimutan ko tuloy 'yung donut ko."ako
Ngumuso ako. Mamaya na lang siguro ako kukuha.
"Ako lumabas? No. I've been here and I never left, baka iba 'yung nakita mo."Lea
Tumango naman kaagad ako at sumang-ayon na baka iba nga 'yung nakita ko.
"Baka ako?"Wil
"Babae, Wil. Hindi binabae."Loraine
Kaagad naman kaming natawa. Kinuha ko ang juice na iniwan ko kanina at sumipsip ulit mula sa straw 'non. Pero hindi ko mapigilang maisip 'yung babae kanina, kasi mukhang kumpleto naman kami rito at saka parang si Mommy lanh talaga ang naka-pulang bestida. Ay ewan ko na, baka kulang lang ako sa kain.
Lea's POV
"Uy, Ma'am. It's already past 10 na. Hindi pa kayo matutulog?"Ellaine
She said so I immediately looked on my wrist watch, and she's right. So, I sighed because I have to leave already. I looked at Soph who's soaking her feet in the pool.
"Soph?"ako
She looked back to me then smiled.
"Yes, Mommy?"Sophia
Kaagad siyang tumayo, sinuot ang tsinelas, at lumapit sa akin. So, I told her that we should already sleep, kaagad naman siyang tumango.
"Hey, guys. You should just enjoy the night. Ubusin niyo 'yan. Mauuna na ang buntis."ako
I giggled as I said goodnight to everyone, although I entertained some while walking off to our room. May iba kasing uuwi na rin.
"Daddy, matutulog na po kami ni Mommy. Although medyo late na po."Sophia
I opened the door of our room then looked back to Sophia who's talking to her Dad on the phone.
"Mom, good night daw po sabi ni Daddy."Sophia
She said then made the phone closer to me.
"Good night, Aga. Ingat ka diyan. I love you!"ako
Sophia giggled then put the phone back to her ear and talked to her Dad. We both entered the room and I couldn't help but to throw myself on the bed right after.
"I am so tired! But I feel really happy."ako
I smiled as I closed my eyes.
"Ako rin, Mommy! Ang dami kong bagong nakilala at higit sa lahat, ang dami kong nakain!"Sophia
I laughed then opened my eyes to look at her who sat beside me.
"Hindi na po ba tayo magpapalit ng damit, Mommy?"Sophia
"Of course we're going to. Sige na mauna ka na, I'll just rest my eyes for a while."ako
"Sige, Mommy. Saglit lang po ako."Sophia
She said so she changed her clothes so I also changed mine after her. She immediately hugged me as I lay down beside her. She requested me to hum a song for her and I happily obliged until I also drifted off.
Fast-forward...
I creased my forehead when I tried to reach for Sophia on the other side of the bed but I didn't feel her that made me open my eyes. I roamed my eyes in the room but I still didn't see her.
"Soph?"ako
I sat down the bed then glanced at the balcony but no one was there. I stepped down from the bed and walked towards the comfort room but no one was there. Where did she go?
I entered the balcony because she might went down to the pool side pero wala nang tao doon, it's already 4 in the morning.
"Sophia?"ako
I called again after I went out our room.
"Ahhhhh!!!!!"
My eyes immediately widened when I heard that scream. That's Sophia's.
"Sophia!"ako
I shouted then started running downstairs. Maging ang iba ay naglabasan sa kwarto nila.
"Oh my god!"ako
I covered my mouth when I saw her lying on the floor. My eyes became more wide when I saw that her head is bleeding.
"Soph! W-what happened? W-who did to you, huh?"ako
Naiiyak kong tanong.
"M-mom. S-si-Si..."Sophia
I blinked and immediately looked to the dark side of the resort when I saw someone.
"Ma'am? Sophia? Ano'ng nangyari?!"Ellaine
"Oh my goodness! Sophia!"Jane
All of them ran towards us, worried and scared at the same time. But my mind is still on someone I just saw earlier. Sinimulan na rin akong kabahan.
"Ellaine, please guide her to our room. Wil, call a police please. And someone, call an ambulance. Now! Go!"ako
Kaagad naman silang nataranta sa pagsigaw ko. Some guided Sophia to her room while the others started calling the police and ambulance. However, my eyes just kept on the place where I saw someone wearing a red dress.
"I know you're there magpakita ka!"ako
All of them were puzzled when I shouted that. Pauline did even ask who I was talking to.
"Rina! Alam kong nandiyan ka 'wag kang duwag!"ako
"Oh my gosh. Nandito si Rina?"Wil
Right after Wil said that, Rina showed herself with a wicked smile on her face.
"Hi! Missed me?"Rina
She smirked and started playing a knife with her hand.
"Hayop ka. Ano'ng ginawa mo sa anak ko?"ako
Kalmado kong tanong kahit na nanginginig ang kamay ko sa galit.
"What? I didn't do anything! Siya nga ang may ginawa. She followed me here!"Rina
"Because you made her to! If I know, that was your plan!"ako
She laughed because of it.
"Well, you guessed it right. Pero kasi dapat ikaw 'yun eh. Edi sana ikaw 'yung nasaktan, kayo ng anak mo."Rina
I blinked when she pointed my stomach with her knife that made me put my hand on it.
"Tigilan mo na 'to, Rina. Wala ka nang magagawa. The police are looking for you! Mabubulok ka sa kulungan! So you should better stop this kung ayaw mong madagdagan ang kasalanan mo."ako
"Oh, come on, Lea. I am already aware of the consequences before I do things. Pati nga private investigator ng magaling mong asawa hinahanap ako, eh. But they are all stupid aren't they? Look at me now, I can still hurt the people I hate. Wala ba talaga akong magagawa, Lea?"Rina
I blinked when she said that.
"Look at your daughter."Rina
"You're insane, Rina."ako
"Yes, I am. Clinically diagnosed, in fact."Rina
She walked towards me so I stepped backwards.
"They thought I'm already cured, but they were wrong. You know, if there's one thing I am good at? That is to pretend. After I kill you, perhaps all of you, kaya kong magpanggap na baliw para hindi nila 'ko ikulong. Look how unfair life is. Putangina 'di ba?"Rina
I looked back to where the rest is and I think that they already called the police. Because as much as I want to fight her, I know there's a big possibility of her hurting my child. That's why she's here.
"Walang lalapit, ang lalapit sasabog ang ulo."Rina
She got a gun under her dress and pointed it to everyone who's at my back. They weren't able to do anything until Rina held me on my arm.
"Ah!"ako
Sigaw ko nang sinabunutan niya 'ko.
"Please, Rina! Stop this!"ako
I shouted with my gritted teeth while holding her hand that gripping my hair.
"Wow, may please. I am surprised! Dahil ba rito?"Rina
I immediately tightly closed my eyes when she pointed out her gun on my belly.
"Please. Please. Don't hurt my baby."ako
I begged and started tearing up.
"Rina, tigilan mo na 'to!"Wil
He shouted that made me look at them. Some are already crying while some are obviously scared for me.
"Shut up!"Rina
All of us screamed when she shoot her gun on somewhere.
"Kung sino'ng susunod na magsasalita, I will make sure na hindi ka na makakahinga pagkatapos."Rina
She looked at me again then smiled.
"Except you of course. Pwede kang mag-ingay, pwede kang manghingi ng tulong, magmakaawam Because I love seeing you beg for life, Lea. Beg."Rina
She smirked then looked to where the rest is again.
"Nasaan si Sophia? Ibaba niyo rito."Rina
I started panicking when she looked for my daughter.
"Ano'ng gagawin mo?"ako
"Of course! Sabay-sabay dapat kayong magpaalam. Hindi naman pwedeng ikaw lang at ang batang nasa sinapupunan mo. Masaya kapag sama-sama, 'di ba?!"Rina
She started laughing. I looked to Wil then shook my head.
"And I will make sure na matutuloy this time. You! The woman in lavender. Go get her."Rina
Pauline was shocked when she was called by Rina, especially when the latter pointed her the gun. She was so scared so I know she'll obey her although she's hesitating. We're talking about lives here. So I have to do something dahil kung hindi may hindi magandang mangyayari sa anak ko at sa kanila.
Rina groaned as soon as I punched her in the face. She was touching her face so I tried to get the gun from her, but I failed. Everyone screamed when she pulled the trigger. Fortunately it shoot the wall.
I tried my best to get the gun from her, and I know she's getting weaker. Lalo akong nabuhayan ng loob nang marinig ko ang sirena ng mga pulis. However, it also made me lose my focus from trying to get the gun from Rina. She pushed me and I hit my head. I wasn't able to hear anything for a while, but I can clearly see how she's pointing the gun on me. I just closed my eyes until I heard multiple shots of gun. But I didn't feel anything, except the pain that I feel in my belly.
