I struggled to my feet as I watched Bjorn being brutally beaten on the other side of the room.
"No! Hakon, no!" I begged him, runnin over and pulling on his shoulder,
"Get away, Kate!" He yelled without even turning around to me,
I didn't respond verbally, but instead carried on trying to pull him off Bjorn. He was covering his face in defense, occasionally trying to throw punches at him only to have his fists blocked by Hakon.
I ran out of the room with the hope that maybe Hakon would follow me out and stop beating the life out of Bjorn, but he wasn't when I looked back. But because I wasn't looking where I was going, I crashed into something and landing on my arse. Ow.
When I looked up to see what I had run into, I saw, Hakon?
"What are you doing here?" I frowned at him, still shaking from what had happened,
"I heard booming and crashing coming from up here and came to see what was going on." He answered, surprisingly calmly.
"But..you.." I stammered, my mind filled with random confused thoughts.
I turned around and ran back to my room, where 'Hakon' was beating up Bjorn. The other Hakon was running behind me, and looked just as surprised as me when he rounded the corner.
"Who are you?!" The Hakon next to me bellowed, causing their fight to stop.
'Hakon' on the floor looked up in terror before, zooming off past us and down the hallway.
"Get back here you prick!" Hakon next to me screamed as he gave chase.
I didn't pay much more attention to it before I turned and ran over towards the beaten and bleeding Bjorn who was wheezing and coughing on the floor.
"What do you need to me do?" I asked frantically, holding onto his arm caringly,
He didn't speak, but ratherly shakily pointed towards the bedside table. I hurriedly ran toward it and began rooting through it. I soon found a veil of clear liquid, and held it out in front of him.
"This?" I shook the veil,
"Yes.." He said hoarsely before coughing rather aggressively,
I brought it over to him and handed it to him carefully, and helped him sit up before he uncorked it and swallowed it quickly. He casually threw the veil onto the bed and lay back onto his back, still breathing heavily and coughing violently every now and then.
Gradually he regained his strength and sat up. I tried to look at him to make sure he was ok, but before I could look at him myself, he looked up.
"I'm fine now, thanks." He smiled,
"That's good, he sure did beat you down huh?" I joked. At least he was smiling.
"Yeah, I didn't think Hakon could punch that hard." He laughed,
"But that wasn't him..." I trailed off as he looked up at me again, with a concerned look on his face.
"What do you mean?" He frowned, "I saw him with me own eyes."
"Well I ran into him in the hallway as I ran out too." I bit the inside of my cheek, "So one of us is blind as shit."
"Well I guess we'll find out soon eh?" He said smiling hopefully again.
"Yeah I guess" I shrugged. "I might go looking for him now and tell him off for beating the shit out of you."
"Ok, just be careful." Bjorn cautioned with a worried look, "You know how he can be."
I nodded in understanding before looking either way down the hallway and walking out carefully.
---
I was sure I had gone around every single corner and gone into every single dark and dreary room this place could possibly have, and still without sight of both 'Hakons'. I still couldn't think of what the solution could be, I was utterly confused.
However, I finally came to a door that I hadn't seen before. It was in the foyer that I had started in, and was slightly ajar when I came to it.
"Well here goes nothing.." I muttered to myself, as I pushed the door back slowly, looking around the room.
But before I could look around properly, I was grabbed and pulled against someones chest with my mouth covered. I struggled madly, throwing my arms and legs around wildly trying to find a way out of this persons iron grip. But soon my wrists were grabbed together, which in turn made me stop moving my legs as I realised I had no escape now.
"Shh..calm down now, love." The voice soothed.
Wait. Whoa. That wasn't Hakons voice. I couldn't believe what I had heard, but my suspicions were confirmed when I turned around. His muscular build , square jaw, beautiful face, and caring eyes. I hugged him out of pure relief.
Zayn.
"How did you get here?" I asked through the relieved tears that were pouring over my face.
Just as I asked, I heard aggressive barking coming from outside the room I was now enclosed in.
"Zeus.." We said together.
"He'll sort out the Dark Angels, don't you worry, love." He smiled warmly.
"But how did you get in without Hakon noticing you?" I cocked my head to one side.
"Well you know I can shapeshift..." He smirked in pride.
"Oh! You were that other 'Hakon' that was beating down Bjorn?" I chuckled,
"So that's that asswipe's name.." He trailed off,
"No, Zayn. You don't understand. He helped me." I was almost jumping up and down in excitement.
"How?" He raised an eyebrow.
I didn't say anything, simply held up my arm and showed him the lack of black magic coursing through my veins.
"Oh great!" He said happily, "That's brilliant! Harry'll be exstatic!"
"Is he here?" I asked him, almost worriedly,
"Yes, I'm afraid." He sighed, "It was actually his idea for me to come and find you with Zeus first, before mind messaging him and the rest of the boys to come and join the fight."
"We need to help. But thank you so much Zayn." I smiled, hugging him again.
At first he hugged me back sweetly, but before to long he pulled back and looked straight into my eyes. He leaned towards me slowly, but before he got to close, me moved around to the side and kissed my cheek.
"That's alright, love. But we need to go and help the boys." He smiled.
I nodded and moved out of his way before leaving the room myself.
The first thing I saw left my confused. The boys were all standing casually around in a circle, just talking to each other. They all turned around and cheered when they saw me walking over with Zayn. All but Harry.
"Kate!" They all shouted happily, sandwhiching me in a giant group hug.
"Hey guys." I chuckled, "Look!"
I showed them my wrist, to which they all gasped excitedly.
"So you're free now?" Louis asked, his expression resembling that of an excited puppy.
"Yeah, Bjorn helped me."
"Bjorn?" Liam raised and eyebrow,
"A Dark Angel that was living here with Hakon." I sighed,
"I'm sorry, Kate." Niall said sympathetically, "But he's dead."
I looked down at the ground and sighed, before gasping when I caught sight of Zeus. He had blood around his mouth. But it wasn't his.
"Zeus found them both before we did." Harry finally spoke up, "We couldn't stop him."
"Don't worry about it." I mumbled, "At least he can't bother us anymore."
"And one other thing." I spoke up again, making all the boys turn to me.
"I'm so sorry for everything I said when I was under his influence, I didn't mean any of it."
"That's fine." Liam said, putting his hand on my shoulder, "We understand."
I smiled happily, before saying,
"Who's ready to go home?"
