AHANA'S POV
I woke up with a set of strong arms around me. I realised they were Ansh's. I knew his smell perfectly. His head was perfectly rested in the crook of my head between the hair. I didn't realise when he returned yesterday night. I was actually very sleepy. All I remembered was that I was reading a novel and watching TV resting my head against the wall and then I think I slept waiting for him. It surely has to be Ansh who put me in place and slept beside me.
I slowly removed his hand from my tummy. He looked so cute with his hand rested on my belly. It felt so good.
I had those of morning sickness again. I was feeling to throw up. It was getting worse as the days pass. It was better if I stay home. And as Ansh suggested I could work from home and it would be convenient too.
After a shower when I returned I saw that Ansh was already in his office attire. I had a simple knee length floral print dress. It was loose and didn't put any pressure in my stomach. It was light and comfortable.
I gave him a surprised look. Anyways Ansh look amazing as always even in the morning. A light yellow shirt with black trousers and a blazer. I wonder if he goes on shopping alone. I rarely see him in denims expect for his sweats which he is wearing at night.
" What? Should I stay home to entertain you?" He said while he was doing his hair.
I wish he would, but why would he. He has a lot of work to do apart from entertaining me.
" Whatever.... But aren't you leaving a bit early today?" I asked.
" It's already 9 Mam. I think I am late." He said wearing his shoes.
" But you came late last night. I don't even know when you came. I fell asleep I think so."
" Hmmm... Okay then I ll leave. Bye. " Saying so he left. I left a weird emptiness. If only he stayed long. But work was equally important.
I went downstairs, Dad and grandad were already at the dinning table. Ansh wasn't there, I think he left.
" Morning Ahana..... " Dad said cheerfully.
" Morning..... Ansh didn't even had his breakfast too?" I said surprised looking at the untouched plate at the table.
" Hmmm... He said he had a meeting. And he also said that you are in a small vacation and you are not working. So...... You are hanging out with us, right? Trust me we won't bore you. " Dad said smiling.
He was really very good man.
I laughed.
" Yeah!! Thanks.... But I insist on working but he was adamant. I am just worried that he won't stress himself out. " I said sitting at the table and taking Ansh's plate.
" I know. But it's important for you to rest. The doctor said so and health is important. So call your friends here. We don't mind Ahana. " Grandad said.
Wasn't he sweet too. I am really lucky to have such in laws. Today rarely anyone has like them.
" Dad, Can I ask a favour from you? " I said.
" Anything Dear.... "
" If you can look into the business for sometime, it can help Ansh. I know maybe I am asking too much. You have retired and its your time to enjoy but then Ansh wouldn't get time for himself. " I said.
" Ahana... C'com.... Today morning only I told him that I ll accompany him if he has work load. But you know how stubborn he is. He has strictly prohibited me and Dad from work. He said that if we accompany him then who will be with you. "
" Hmmm.... " I nodded eating my piece of bread.
He cared.
" So, when is your next appointment? " Grandad asked.
" Next week. Jaai said he ll come with me. I have asked him to look into my work as I ll work from home now. "
" Okay... If you need anything we are around. Trust me Ahana, Ansh really cares for you. And I am sure he will take out not a little but a lot of time for you. " Dad winked.
I nodded and smiled. Dad and his teasing behaviour.
I knew it. But the problem was that why doesn't he accept it. I am pretty sure that in the few days I ll have back that rude Ansh.
After breakfast I went to my room. I still felt a bit week. My cell was ringing somewhere.
" Ma.... How are you?" I asked. I was speaking to her after a long time.
" I am good. Ansh called me some time ago. He said that you ll be home now."
Oh! Man... What is he upto? Why is telling this to everyone?
" Aha... He cares for you......"
Yeah!! I know.... Even I care for him. But sometimes caring isn't enough. Ansh doesn't tell that but I know somewhere deep down he cares.
" I am accompanying you to your next meet with doctor. Jaai is there right? "
" Yeah..... "
After a brief talk with Ma I felt good. Time was crucial and I need to be careful.
The entire morning wasn't eventful. I slept for a while in the afternoon after doing some work.
When I woke it was 6 pm already. But sometimes sleeping does wonders. It feels so fresh sometimes. I went downstairs and grabbed a cup of warm hot chocolate. I instructed Sara what to cook for dinner.
" Hey!! How was your day?" I heard a familiar voice.
" J!! What you doing here?"
" So..... You thought that you will enjoy your holidays and I ll toil the entire day. I got bored so thought of seeing you once. Can I?" He said indicating to the cup of coffee beside me. I gave it to him. He drank and handed me again.
These things were okay between us.
" Let's watch a movie. " I said suddenly.
" DDLJ.... " ( Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge)
" DDLJ.... "
We both shoutd together. It was our favourite.
Shah Rukh Khan's iconic movie. A lovestory that is worth watching.
I quickly got up from the sofa and put the DVD in.
" Hi! Guys... What's going on? " Dad entered.
" Hi... Uncle... We are watching DDLJ.... It's our favourite. Join us." Jaai said.
" Of course... Why not? It's my favourite too."
" Where Grandad?"
" He is resting. ''
" Okay! I ll arrange for popcorns. We ll need some. It's a long movie anyways. " I said excited and went to bring some.
I didn't realise how fast the time passed. It was already 11 pm. We were at the end of the movie. But still Ansh didn't come home. I wonder where was he. Even Grandad had joined us later. Now the four of us were sitting in the living along with our dinner plates.
Our eyes glued to the TV when Raj gives his hand to Simran when she is running behind the train. The most iconic scene of all. So... Romantic... Well, I don't enjoy Romantic, But this was an exception.
Just then I heard Ansh's car in. So, finally ge comes. When he entered he looked so tired. His eyes were almost red and his hair were messy. He looked exhausted.
" Oh!!" was his reaction as he saw everyone here.
" Hi.." everyone said in unison.
" Ansh.... What a wrong timing? The movie just came to an end." Jaai said.
" Huh!! What's happening here?" I preferred not to answer him.
" We were watching DDLJ.... You should have returned a bit early." Dad said.
Ansh sat beside him and drank some water. I could see he was more than shocked. Jaai was sitting beside me so there wasn't any place next to me.
" I would definitely come if only someone had informed me that you were having a mini party here." He said looking at me.
Would he? I didn't know if he would come or not. And Jaai's visit was equally surprising.
" And Jaai...." He called him.
" Yes...."
" I thought you were working on Ahana's behalf. But, you too look on a vacation. I thought that I ll see more of you in the office.... But..."
" Sorry to disappoint you. But, I was equally bored today. So, thought of seeing Hana... Anyways work was else today.... "
Ansh nodded and stood up.
His eyes still didn't leave mine. I am sure he is angry but why??
" Where.... " I asked.
" I wasn't having fun the entire day. So, I am tired. I am going to change. " He said.
" Hey! Hana... I ll also leave. Thanks for the dinner and movie. Had fun. Bye uncle and grandpa..."
" Bye... Son. Keeping coming."
" Yeah! Bye Ansh.. See you too.."
" Huh! Definitely! Better if it's in the office...."
Ansh!! Seriously....
Jaai left smiling. I went with him till the door. Ansh was still staring but then he went to the room.
" Hana... Take care. Was Ansh looking angry or his face is like this? " Jaai said laughing .
" Oh! Shut up J.... He has the most handsome face Okayyyy!!"
" Of course... He has... Now go make up for your upset husband. And you will surely have to do this multiple times coz my visits are going to increase. "
" Hmmm... I know..."
" Tell me... Ansh really hates me or He is just jealous or.... "
" No... He is not... Maybe he doesn't like you only. Your face isn't appealing you though. I think there are only two people who really like or love you J.... "
" Yeah! I am not as handsome as him. Right? And I have lost one of them. And I don't intend to loose the other one.... Bye... " He said kissing me on my cheeks and left.
Oh..... Will he ever be able to move on? He has so much pain but still gives only happiness.
I locked the door and came inside.
" Sara... Can you ready Ansh's plate? I ll take it to the room. "
" Yeah! Sure....."
When I went in the room Ansh just came out of shower. With only a white towel around his waist. He moved his hand through his wet hair making the water droplets fall. He had another small size towel in his hand with which he was wiping his wet jet black silky hair.
Oh!! I haven't seen a man like this. I stood still where I was standing.
He had a perfect body. With chiseled chest and 8 pack abs. Perfect tone body that I would like to stare for long. It's for the first time I noticed so much of him.
Our entire room was covered with his after shower smell.
He turned around to the closet to bring his clothes I suppose. His perfect muscular back clearly visible now. It was still wet. I wonder from where did my discription got so good.
Ahana!! Control.... I thought breathing deeply now.
I don't think he noticed my presence.
" Enjoying.... Ahana... I noticed your presence."
" Oh!!.. I am sorry...." I turned around closing my eyes. God!!!
" It's okay Ahana. You don't need to close your eyes. It's not like we haven't explored each other. Is it? I don't mind if my wife enjoys looking or should I say drooling at me. "
" Stop talking nonsense Ansh. It's just that I came at the wrong time. C'com, quickly wear your clothes and have dinner. I have brought you here. "
" And.... What if I don't do as you say?" Ansh said coming close to me. His after shower more smell prominent in the room now.
He held me form my shoulders. My body became rigid from his touch. I was still holding the plate in my hand. I remembered what we shared together but then his cold behaviour ruined everything. I tried to jerk his hand away.
" Why you always want me away from you?" He said.
But I don't want him away, it's just that I am afraid if he hurts me again.
" Ansh.... Back off and wear your clothes. And have dinner."
He realised his hold and at that moment I regretted why did he do that. He did get hurt from my rude reply.
" I am not hungry. You can turn now, I am done. "
I turned as soon as he said but he was in his sweat pants only. And then I saw him wearing his v neck t-shirt. My eyes not leaving him for once. Liar... He ain't done yet.
" And Why?? Can I know the reason? I know you haven't had your lunch too."
" Good... At least you know what is going on in your husband's life. Or else I thought you are always busy with your good for nothing lazy friend."
" Ansh.... Are you not going to grow up? We were going watching a movie. And everyone was present. We weren't alone."
" Yeah!! I saw that. Everyone except for me. You didn't even care to call me once and enquire where was I. And your friend is chilling out with you while there is nothing to do. "
God!! He is frustrating me more.
" As if you were waiting for my call..... "
" Yes.... I was.... " He said suddenly.
There was a pin drop silence.
" Okay...... " I said finally.
" I am sorry. I know I am a very bad insensitive and heartless person. I should have called you. I am sorry. But since you are a very good person, you won't sleep empty stomach. So, you are having your dinner." I continued.
" Don't taunt me. And I am not... I have some work to do. " He said leaving the room.
" Ansh!! Wait... You are such a adamant stubborn person. You can't insult food Ansh!! Wait...... " But he already left for the study.
I covered his untouched plate with another. Ansh was really giving me a hard time now. I don't understand why he gets so angry. I don't know till what time I ll be able to handle his tantrums. I was getting exhausted more quickly nowadays and I felt more sleepy too.
I just pray that one day my patience doesn't give up.
ANSH'S POV
I think I shouldn't have spoken to Ahana so rudely. He looked tired. I saw her after such a long day and then she was so sweet with me. Looking at her smile and her cute dimples makes my tired day beautiful.
But I don't know why I feel so angry on seeing that Jaai beside me. He really turns me on. But Ahana is different. I know she cares for me. But...
But I know I am not jealous. Why should I be? Anyways Ahana is my wife not his. He should be jealous not me.
Was I trying to compose myself or am I the one who is insecure....
But what if he really loves Ahana and plans on making her his.....
God!! Ansh you will get mad if you go on like this....
But if you make things okay between you two by telling her the truth then maybe she can forgive you.
But still I can't those words said by Ahana that night. No matter how hard I try to forget them they pierce my ears. Whenever I touch Ahana they come back flying. It's frustrating me more, when I am so close to her and yet so far away.
Finally, as I wasn't able to do anything I got up and went back to our room. As expected the lights were on and Ahana was sitting on the study table with her head down. I saw the covered plate beside her. If she hates me then why does she do all this??
I went near her and she was fast asleep.
" Ahana.... C'Com Get Up. Sleep on the bed or else your back will hurt."
I said shaking her. It wasn't a good gesture anyways. But I didn't have the right to touch her.
" Ansh.... You came. Have your dinner first."
Will she not give up?
" I ain't giving up.. " I heard her firm voice.
Mind Reader...
" I am eating. First you sleep properly."
" I am not sleeping Ansh. " She said getting up.
I gave up. I sat with the plate on the bed. She was watching me intently until I finished the last visible grain of the food.
" Good...." She said and jumped on the bed.
" Goodnight.... Ansh... " And she slept. Deep in slumber already.
Like... Seriously. I have a weird funny all the more a caring wife. I smiled and went to put the plate in the kitchen.
I wonder how fast the time flies. Almost in month Ahana and I will be married for a year. And she must be 3 months pregnant by now. I don't know how long we will be like this. The year had been great and exciting with her.
How fast the year changes...
But still I don't think that our relationship has grown. It's still as confusing as it was in the beginning.
And perhaps I know the cause...
All that has happened is that soon we are expecting a new member. And Ahana's belly is also growing. I saw her sleeping form and the very tiny baby bump was visible now. I was very unfortunate to not be with her when she needed me the most.

I haven't spoken to Ahana since 4 weeks now. The last argument we had was when Jaai came to our house for watching DDLJ. But I still saw him once with Ahana. He doesn't visit the office though. I wonder why...
I don't see much of Ahana too nowadays. But she still does all her work. I have been busy with work lately. I also return home late. But I always find Ahana sleeping with her head on the backrest and the lights on. She always waits for me but due to her health I know she falls asleep.
It has become my duty to place her properly in bed. And in the morning before she is awake I try to go back to work. We have brief glances only at the breakfast table somedays. But I miss her. I can't deny that.
Tomorrow is our 1st marriage anniversary. I have planned a surprise for her. I just hope she likes it. I want to make up for her. Let's hope all goes as planned....
