The car ride to work was filled with a lot of tension. I didn't bother talking to Kai or even saying sorry. After giving it some long and hard thinking, I knew I really had nothing to apologize for. I was just doing what I thought was right. He could have been harmful or something towards Ethan and I...Yes I realize how stupid it sounds but that's my logic so shut up.

I looked out the window and saw we were getting closer to the restaurant. I glimpsed in the mirror to see Ethan was also looking out the window. A few minutes passed by and the car then came to a stop. Ethan literally ran out the car and into the restaurant.

I turned to Kai to see him looking stare ahead him still tensed and angry. I let out a sigh and opened the door. "Thank you," I mumbled before stepping out.

"You know something," his voice came out deeper than I've ever heard which caused chills to run down my spine. I turned on my heels and looked at him to see he was still looking stare ahead. "What?" I asked in a soft voice.

"They were right. You are a freak," his voice came out venomous as he looked at me when he said his last word. I stared at him a bit shocked and hurt but he only stared back in anger through his shades. Not bothering to say anything, I slammed the door shut and turned on my heel ran to the restaurant.

Walking in, I made my way to the back of the kitchen and saw Ethan was checking in. He seem to have noticed I was approaching because he pulled out my check-in card and passed it to me without a glimpse or a word. I checked myself in and we headed to our side of the restaurant.

I looked around to see about 5 or 6 people in here. Today was going to be a slow day considering how heavy it was raining outside. I sat behind the counter and gazed around to see some people were on there phone or sipping on there drink and eating something.

My mind couldn't help but replay what Kai had told me. Whenever someone called my brother or I a freak, I would just be angry about it. But when Kai said it, it was different. I felt like a piece of me actually broke off. I guess it's because I thought Ethan and I had someone who was actually different for once but he's like the rest of them. This was maybe the bad vibe Ethan was getting.

Half of me believes the worst is over but the other half believe it's yet to come. Paranoid much? I would say no. Being in this town for over 6 years has taught me one thing. No one is your friend. Over the years, I've gotten to secretly know people. When I say secretly I mean I know who they are and what they do even if the person never talked to me.

For example, Greg is the guy who asked for coffee yesterday and he's here today. He's in his late 30's and comes here every single day. He has a farm which is an hour away. His day job is just getting his cows to produce milk. He has 4 kids and a wife name Janet. Janet is a hoe. Straight to it, she a hoe. She comes in here with him only on Thursday's. The rest of the time, she's screwing some guy for money. You thought those cows producing milk kept them going? No, no. You got it all wrong.

Then there's Sarah who sits in the corner of the restaurant every time the weather is bad outside. When she's not in here, she's out there somewhere downtown condemning everyone to hell if they don't repent. I would ship her to Salem but my money is worth much more. The woman is in her late 40's and single has they come. She does have a cat though. I'm surprise it didn't commit suicide yet. Yes, she's that bad. I think you get the idea now.

The main question I've been asking myself for years is 'Why does everyone hate us?'. You see, after years and years of my brother and I being harassed in every which way, we have somewhat discovered the answer. We are just simply....drum roll...the outcast. I kid you not. You ever went into a town or different part of the world and everyone looks at you a type of way and you know for sure, they are prejudice? Well that's this town but their prejudice level is sky high. Like I'm pretty sure this town could win an Oscars for being the most prejudice.

You know what's even sadder? Get this, the town doesn't even hate our parents! They only hate Ethan and I. Shocking right? You would expect the town folks to hate the people who made us but no. They're the good people. It's honestly stupid. When I graduate from that stupid school, Ethan and I are just going to pack our bags at night and leave without a word. That's the plan. We're planning to move to New York or maybe Iceland. Probably both at some point.

The lights flickered causing me to snap out of my thoughts. I turned to look at Ethan who was already looking at me. I honestly hope the rain settle down before our shift ends or else it can be a pain to walk through this. If it doesn't settle down, then I am going to just use my powers to shield Ethan and I from the rain.

Time went by as slow as ever and I honestly felt like I was dying. Ethan seemed to have felt the same way because he had his head on the counter. I looked at the time to see it was almost 12 o'clock. Let out an annoyed groan, I couldn't help but hate the person who called in sick and knowing them, they're not sick. They just didn't want to come out because the rain but that's their lost because I gain their paycheck.

Ethan and I shift's were now up and I couldn't be anymore happier. I assume Ethan felt the same since he was constantly watching the time and when it finally hit 12, he let out a sigh of relief. We check out and walked outside before helping Ethan into his raincoat.

We were now under the restaurant's shed looking around only to see some car lights passing by. I would stop a taxi but no taxi's pass around here at all. I looked at Ethan to see he was opening the umbrella. "We take back street or main?" I asked since he was clearly the smart one.

He looked down the street for a second then turned back to me. "Well, considering that the end of the main street drops a little, it will be flood plus it takes us longer on the main street. The back street is a bit dangerous now considering it's pitch dark but it's the fastest way home. So back it is. Yay death!" he chirped the last piece in a high pitch voice before jumping up and down.

I rolled my eyes, "You're so dramatic. We're not going to die," I stated as we walked around the corner. "Yet. We haven't died yet," he corrected causing me to shake my head. I used my powers to create sort of a invisible air bubble around us so we wouldn't get wet at all. Sometimes having powers over nature pays off.

We started to head down the pitch black street and it was honestly a bit terrifying considering the rain made it harder to see and all the street lights were off. The dead silence made it worst. I took Ethan's hand in mine to make sure nothing would happen. Walking this way would normally take us about 10 minutes to get home but since it's raining, it would take 15 minutes.

We turned the corner again and headed down a darker street and I kid you not, it felt as if I was in a pitch black room. Ethan and I literally had to pull out our phones and turn on the flashlight. "Freya," Ethan's soft voice came besides me. I hummed in response.

"Freya," he called in a more creepier voice. "Stop that," I shoved him causing him to burst out laughing. "Someone's scared," he teased as he continued laughing.

"You should be," a voice came about 7 feet behind us causing us to jump and turn around. My eyes couldn't make out the person so I shined my flashlight on them to see it was Victor. Met Victor, the dickhead of this town. You see how there's some people who just enjoy watching you in pain? Well, that's him. He was in his late 20's and I'm pretty sure him and Janet got some type of STD history together.

I felt Ethan's hand grip tighter around mine and I knew he was sensing trouble just as I was. "What do you want Vic?" I hissed. (Picture of Victor below)

A playful smirk rose to his face. I then noticed he was soaking wet in his jacket. I would ask what he's doing out here but I honestly don't care.

"Is that any way to take to a guy when you're all alone?" he asked taking a step towards me. I felt my heart beating fast at how close he was to me. I pushed Ethan behind me so I was shielding him.

"We're going home now," I mumbled as I turned on my heels getting ready to run with Ethan. Before I could dash off with Ethan, Victor grabbed my hoodie and yanked me back causing my phone to fall to the ground. He then pulled me into his chest so I was now facing him. Out of fear and panic, with force my leg raised up causing me to kick him in the weak spot. He let me go and let out a grunt as he clutched whatever was left of his name part.

"You're going to regret that," he growled as he sat up straight.

I got up from the ground and he grabbed my wrist and within a blink, a bolt of lightning struck him causing him to get electrocuted and drop to the ground. Me on the other hand, all I felt was a tingle. Shock took over me along with fear.

"I didn't mean to do that!" I shrieked in fear as I looked at his limp body.

Is he dead? Did I just kill him? It was a mistake. I don't have control over it. I thought I did but I don't. I just killed someone.

"Come on," Ethan pulled my hand causing me to look at him. I saw a bit of shock on his face along with worry. "But I just killed him....It was a mistake," I started to sob as I looked back at Vic's body which was now being soaked even more by the rain.

"Freya, it's not your fault now come on before people find us and start making false accusations," he tugged my hand a bit more. We heard a footstep slash against the ran and before you knew it, Ethan and I ran the fastest we could home. I made sure Ethan ran in front of me so nothing would happen to him.

After fully sprinting for 8 minutes, we finally made it home and the car wasn't there yet again. We walked up to the house and entered it. Shutting the door behind me, I pushed the security button and Ethan and I headed upstairs. Ethan opened his door and walked into his room.

"I'll come to your room when I finish shower," he shouted over his shoulders.

"Okay," I mumbled before walking into my room. I dried my phone before placing it on the dresser to charge. Walking into the bathroom, I stripped from my clothes and hopped in the warm shower. Washing my hair, I couldn't help but silently sob at what had just took place.

I didn't mean to kill him. It was an honest mistake.

Murderer.

Murderer.

Murderer.

I sobbed some more as the words murderer ran through my head. I turned off the shower and dried myself and my hair before getting into my night clothes. Ethan then came walking in towards me and wrapped his hands around me which made me what to cry even more.

"Freya, I know what you're thinking. You didn't kill him. I know for sure you didn't kill him. He still looked like he had some life in him, " he try to reassure me I hadn't murdered him.

I wrapped my arms around him and laid my chin on top of his head. "I know but still. What if?" I mumbled.

He pulled away from the hug and gave me a small smile. "Then it's his fault. He should know otherwise than to mess with Mother Nature," he grinned causing me to chuckled a bit.

"You should get some sleep. It's getting late," I spoke in a soft tone. He nodded his head, "If you want to come in my room, you're welcomed to come anytime," he chirped before hugging me again. I hugged him back and thanked him before he went off into his room. He closed my door and I let out a heavy sigh.

I took off my lights and walked towards my bed. I set up in my bed and the recent events flashed through my head. I couldn't help but just burst out into silent tears.

How can I protect Ethan when I can't even protect myself and I'm a murdered. I just murdered someone. I'm going to jail. Who's going to watch over Ethan? Dead or not, I still hurt someone when I didn't mean too.

The more I thought, the more I cried and I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep tonight.

I am a murderer.

~~~~~~~~~~
I stared at my door and watched as the sunlight from outside slowly shade over the door indicating that time was passing by. My face felt numb and I was officially out of tears. I have cried out every inch of whatever I've got left. My feelings felt a bit numb along with my body since I haven't moved from my sitting position.
Looking at the time, I saw it was almost 7:30. Shutting off my alarm, I slowly got off the bed and walked to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and started the shower. Showering in hot water, I washed away my dry tears and rinsed my skin. Turning off the pipe, I slowly got out the bathtub and headed to my closet. I took out a black ripped jeans along with a white tank top and a dark blue grey plaid shirt. (Freya's Outfit Pic Below)
I got dress and got into my boots. Looking outside, the sun was shine bright and it was official the storm was over. Looking into the mirror at my reflection, I saw my eyes were bloodshot red from all the crying. Let out a sigh, I grabbed my phone and bag before walking out my room. I walked down the hall and saw my parents door was shut indicating they were in there. Walking down the stairs, I place my bag on the hallway table and waited for Ethan.
Fives minutes passed by and I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I shoved my phone in my pocket and threw my bag over my shoulder.
"Hey," Ethan chirped as he walked down the hallway. As he got closer his eyes widened and he ran up to me. "Freya, why didn't you come in my room. I can clearly see you cried and didn't get any sleep," he spoke in a worried yet sad tone.
I gave him a small smile, "I'm fine. We walking or car?" I asked as I opened the front door.
"It's nice outside so we walk," he sighed and I nodded. He walked out and I followed behind before shutting the door behind me. We walked down the driveway and headed to school on foot.
"Freya, you cant tell me anything. You know that right? I may be young but I can handle it," he glimpsed over at me. I nodded my head, "I know," I mumbled back.
We walked quietly until we met up with Hazel. I didn't feel like talking so I just stayed quiet whilst Ethan and Hazel talked. They made small conversation and then stopped after a while so the rest of the walk went by quietly. Soon enough, we reached the school and Ethan and Hazel said their goodbyes.
Ethan and I send our goodbyes and I watched as he walked into school. I heard a buzzing and saw it was Rio. "You know Vic?" I asked turning to look at him.
Rio replied with a yes. "Is he alive or dead?" I asked.
Rio buzzed around and it turns out he doesn't know. "Got to the backstreet by Saint avenue. Come find me and tell me if you found anything," I ordered. Rio agreed and I thanked him before he flew off.
The bell rung and I knew I was already late. I said my goodbye to Hazel who was still next to me. He said his goodbyes and I started heading towards the school. Some kids in the parking lot was staring at me but I ignored them. Heading inside, I made my way down the hall and to my classroom.
The class became silent as usual and I headed to my seat. I sat down and ignored Kai who was already sitting next to me since it was the only spot left in the class and I would move the desk but it's one big desk. I laid my head on the desk during the entire lesson and my Chemistry didn't say a word.
After two straight hours of Chemistry, it was finally over. The bell had rung and I grabbed my stuff before heading to the next class, Economics. I made my way down the crowded hallway then around the corner into my classroom. Dropping my bag on the chair, I walked back out the classroom to head to the bathroom to wash my face since I felt a bit sleepy and numb.
Walking into the bathroom, I walked over to the sink and rinsed my face. I looked in the mirror to see it was still cracked from when I punched it. Letting out a sigh, I got some paper towels and closed my eyes before drying my face. The door opened and I didn't have the energy to look and see who had entered.
As I stopped drying my face and looked up to the mirror, I was then blinded by something and a bunch of giggles erupted. I instantly knew who it was, Ashley and her asswipes. I tried to pulled the blindfold off me but I was then held down and pinned against something hard which I'm guessing was the wall.
"Your little new friend from yesterday hurt Cain real bad. I told you not to miss with him," her voice came out threatening and I didn't know what was coming. I heard something flip open and I tried to wiggle out of my holding but couldn't.
"He shouldn't have mess with my brother," I scoffed as I tried to us all my strength to fight back.
"You look like you like ripped clothes considering your jeans," her voice came out playful. "Don't you dare touch me you slut," I hissed. A laugh escaped her and I heard something on my tear. She was going to tear up my clothes.
I tried to push whoever was holding me down but couldn't. I then felt my plaid sleeve being ripped off. "See, this is what you get for miss with Cain," she hissed as he ripped it from me.
"He deserved it," I smirked only causing her to let out an annoyed scream. She then ripped up my other sleeve.
"You know, I still don't understand why you and your freak brother are still in this town," she mumbled.
"Oh, don't worry. We'll be out of your makeup when I graduate," I smartly commented.
She let out a laugh, "You're so stupid. It's 'Be out of your hair' not makeup," she slapped the side of my face causing me to turn a bit.
I knew she was standing in front me so I turned back my face and a smirk grew on my face. "No, I meant makeup. You have more makeup on than the amount of hair you have," I explain.
I heard a gasp from both sides of me probably from her asswipes. "That's it," she hissed. My left hand was then snatched and something pierced across it. I let out a hurdling scream as the pain hit me. I heard something shattered as I screamed which cause Ashley and her asswipes to scream. I was now free and the blindfold feel from my face and I looked to see the mirror had shattered to pieces.
The door slammed shut and I turned to see Ashley and her twats had left. I looked down at my hand to see a huge slashed across it. Not only that but it looked like she dragged the blade or whatever she had down my arm as I scream. Blood was now dripping out and I ran over to the sink stepping over the shattered mirror. I looked in the sink to see it had shattered pieces in there too. Turning on the water, I washed my hand and let out a sharp breath as the water was stinging my hand.
Drying it, I saw blood was still coming out. I let out a sigh and pull opened the door with my right hand. I walked down the hall with blood dripping down my arm and headed back to class.
This bitch will one day get what's coming to her and I will not feel sorry for her stupid ass.
Walking up to my classroom, I saw some people was hanging around the hallway, their faces turned to me and I could tell they were judging. Not even the slightest sympathy. I kicked the door open in anger causing the students in the class to look at me. I made my way to the back where I saw Kai was looking at me with a bit of mixed emotion which I could care less about. I grabbed my bag and turned on my heels before walking back to the door.
I heard some whispers going around and I let out a groan of annoyance and looked towards a group of girls and guys who were whispering. "If you got something to fucking say then say it to my face. I'm right here. If your bitch ass can't say it to my face then shut the fuck up!" I shouted out of anger at them. A few seconds passed by and I knew they were too stupid to say anything. I marched out the classroom and down the hallway.
I'm so over everyone.
I'm over this school.
I'm over this town.
I over it all.
