Hisui's POV
This giant mechanical thing was so ugly I swear.
I took in a deep breath and exhaled, bracing myself for defeat I knew I would face when out of nowhere there was some movement in the debris.
"Wha-Kakashi?! What the hell are you doing here?!"
"I should be asking you, I was here fighting him first," he struggled to get out.
"Wow I should have just left you alone maybe then you'd finally DIE."
"And grant me the sweet release of death? Ah yes, a dream come true," such morbid humor he used. "Back to business, we have these two here. One of them has the power to repel and attract while using himself as a center, and the other just blows everything up."
"According to Yuyan, the time interval for that guy using his power is five seconds, but it doesn't give us much space to work with," I remember her saying to us.
"Not unless we're fast enough," the two of us looked at each other and nodded, thinking of the same idea. "They share their field of vision, so we have to take them out individually if we want any hope in winning," Kakashi further informed.
"Where is the nine tails jinchuuriki?" he questioned.
"Umm you must have some serious brain damage to believe we're going to tell you," I answered, "never in a billion years would I tell you that."
"The two of you are descendants of the Uzumaki clan are you not?"
"Yeah, my mother was one."
"So was mine, before she was killed by leaf ninja," he replied, I was shocked, it's like we were related or something thats weird.
I suddenly felt a tug at my body as if something was pulling me, quickly reacting to the situation, I threw a kunai towards the obvious source and the pushing stopped. But of course, baka Kakashi was stabbed by that ugly mechanical thing with a giant blade coming out of his ass.
"Nice wasting your freakin clone," I reprimanded as the real Kakashi stepped out. "Whatever let's really get serious."
I did some hand signs, "water release: water wall!" The moment the water was summoned, he pushed it away as I had expected. Next was the water jet, but that was also repelled, not that I was surprised.
While Kakashi faced the giant hunk of metal, a deep puddle had formed and my job here was almost done, now Kakashi and I just need an opening.
But no hurricanes today I don't want to destroy the village since it's already in shambles enough.
I saw the normal looking Pein running towards me and took out these black rods from his arm and started swinging them at me left and right. I took out a kunai and began to fight him back as well, I was a much better shot with a bow and arrow than I was fighting face to face with someone, but it just had to be done.
The metal rods did some damage, some scratches here and there before I decided it was time to back some distance to start shooting at him.
I drew the bow out of my back and stepped back over some debris and the puddle of water to shoot. Infusing some chakra into them wouldn't hurt so I did so with wind to make them faster, but clearly they weren't fast enough when he repelled them.
I took the short time of the five second interval to now shoot some lightning arrows at him, one of them managed to get his arm and he didn't seem too happy about that.
I jumped towards him and he repelled me away from him, but I didn't expect the giant piece of metal to be right behind me, ready with that giant tail to stab me.
"Kakashi what the fuck are you-" I turned to see him, but he was also groveling on the floor in pain too. This fight would definitely be short lived.
It didn't hurt as much but maybe it's because I was so shocked that the pain was secondary. I looked down and the blade was right through my abdomen. I looked in front of me and there was the other Pein with a black rod ready to stab it in me who knows where.
"Kakashi now!" I yelled as he was getting up, the enemies were shocked.
"But you-"
"NOW!"
He quickly shot his raikiri to the ground and I used the technique I had been waiting for this whole time.
"Storm release," there was a quick gust of air and the electrocuted water began to rise, "dragon in the eye!"
This was a technique I created to show Yuyan a long time ago. I made it to sort of model her home which was in the eye of a storm. I never had the opportunity to show it to her, but here this fight would end because of this.
The water took the shape of a dragon and it's whiskers and talons and body was surging with the electricity from Kakashi's raikiri. It charged towards me and the two other Peins.
He attempted to repel it, but I was close enough to stab his hand, "you're not getting away from this!" I yelled before it came crashing down.
It hurt like nothing before, it's like I felt every part of me being fried to a crisp and all the energy exploded at once.
I was out for a little but when I looked around, Kakashi was stuck underground with his head popping out, the giant piece of metal was totally done for, I was done for at this point, but the other Pein was almost perfectly fine.
"Dammit," I muttered to myself weakly.
He had a nail in his hand and pointed it towards Kakashi for the final blow, all I could do watch. There wasn't a single muscle in my body that could move as much as I wanted to.
The nail flew at Kakashi and hit him straight in the head, and just like that the legend himself was killed by this man. I had no idea how he managed to get the both of us.
"K-Kakashi come on," I tried to call out, "you can't die because of a stupid nail come on!"
Just before Pein could come my way, the metal Pein began yo move once again, making one giant missile probably his last.
"Finish him," the other ordered as he jumped away to go destroy the village some more. I couldn't believe what was going on and how bad we were bested by these two. Kakashi and I have taken hundreds of people, yet our combined efforts weren't enough to beat even one of these. Who could possibly stand up to all six of them?
I basically sacrificed myself for nothing, I thought at least it would be enough to damage them, but I underestimated this enemy.
The missile came blasting towards me, and I accepted that this is where I would go. Even if he hadn't I would have died eventually because I have zero chakra left, I'm still bleeding, and I'm severely burned. But guess I'd go out with a BANG if that's how you wanna put it.
Before the missile even reached, it disappeared, almost bent to another dimension and I knew this was the work of Kakashi's sharingan.
"I want you...to tell my team that I," he panted and I saw a tear stream from his eye, "tell them that I am proud of them. Sakura, Yuyan, and Naruto, and tell them to relay it to Sasuke too."
"Tell them yourself," I answered in hopes those weren't his last words.
I heard the medics coming towards me as Kakashi's head tilt down for the last time. Katsuyu, Tsunade's giant slug was shrouded in the aura of Yuyan's pink dragon to help those in need, but Kakashi and I were done for, there was nothing to help our condition, but I would force myself to live a few moments more to relay this message.
"Hisui-san!" a medic looked at me horrified. Didn't think I looked that bad. Two medics helped me on the stretcher to take me to the hospital.
"Wait what about Kakashi?" I tilted my head back, "he's still alive, he just saved me."
They stayed quiet with the look of bitterness on their face.
"No, you have to go back he has something to tell his team," I squirmed and every cell in my body burned. "Kakashi come on!"
"He must have used his last bit of chakra on you," Katusyu's cute little voice informed.
I stared at the sky, questioning my actions and my choices, maybe I should have been more careful in battle. Maybe if we had thought it through more we would have lived.
The clouds moved and the sun was shining, it was disappointing how nice of a day it was for such a detrimental event to take place. It's funny to think how just earlier I was talking with Yuyan and Kiyoko normally, and in just a little time I would be taken back to them in my final moments of life.
I stared to slip away and the sky seemed to grow darker, but I forced myself to wake up for a little more.
"Hurry," I groaned, "I don't have much time left."
"You're going to be-" Katsuyu began to reassure me.
"No I'm not."
We got to the hospital quick and the medics yelled, "this patient needs immediate care!"
Surprisingly enough, Kiyoko, Yuyan, and Sakura ran towards me knowing I was the one in the stretcher.
Even the work of our best medics isn't enough to fix me, but I appareciated their company in my final moments.
"How are my favorite girls doing?" I coughed out.
"I-I can-" Sakura panicked as she tried to heal me, I grabbed her hand and pushed it away and shook my head. "But Hisui I can heal you!"
"Don't waste your effort," I sighed, "Kakashi told me to tell you he's proud of you, tell Naruto and someday, Sasuke."
Yuyan and Sakura looked at each other ready to cry, but they both put on a brave face.
"Thank you for your support Sakura, I appreciate you a lot even though I might not say it. You're an incredible medic," I turned to Yuyan, "you were like the sister I lost and you inspired me to be who I am, I'm sorry that I let you down so many times and that I was never good enough to keep you safe."
"No Hisui, you meant the world to me too. You were like an older brother to me."
"Nice to know," I sighed, "go now, I don't want you to see me die."
"I can still-" Yuyan tried to help, but I know what she was talking about.
"If you use it on me I'll kill myself," I refused, "you're saving it for someone far more important, remember that." The tears came out of her eyes and they said it all. She was losing everything and here I was dying in front of her as well. "Yuyan, get out there, wreak some havoc for me will ya?"
She wiped the tears and put on a determined look, "yes sir." And that brave little face of hers would be the last I saw of such a beautiful soul. I loved that girl to pieces, and I hoped mot to see her where I was going any time soon.
"Sakura, they need you," she swallowed her grief and left. I was proud she had grown to be strong as well. The world and the people I love would be fine.
Maybe except for...
"Kiyoko," she held my burned hand with tears in her eyes.
"I lost Itachi and now I'm losing you too?" she cried.
"Don't you worry, we'll never stop watching over you."
"You're all I have Hisui, you're my best friend I can't-"
"Hey, you're going to be fine Kiyoko, you're going...to be fine," I felt weaker by the second.
She held my hand close to her and she shut her eyes tightly as the tears still rolled down.
"I believe in you, and I love you so much. You've been...my friend, my family, and I couldn't have asked for anyone...more kind...more beautiful...and stronger than you."
She nodded, knowing there was nothing she could do for me.
Those words to her were my last that I would speak before I drifted off into a deep abyss.
I knew I was dead but I walked in darkness forever, until I saw him there and when I stood with him, we stood on the mountain where the green jade flower grows.
"Didn't expect to see you here so soon," he smirked.
"Yeah me neither but your leader is a psychopath."
He just huffed out a laughed and looked to the great beyond, the vast forest where we adventured as children.
"It's nice to have company," we sat on the ledge, "but I would have liked it if I waited longer."
"No kidding, but guess this is how it works out."
"Guess so."
"So, we just wait for her?" I questioned.
"Yeah, but in the meantime, will you tell me your story Hisui Tachibana?"
"Only if you tell me yours, Itachi."
