Gaston scooped up your glass slipper, and watched you scurry into the night. He wished you didn't have to leave so soon. He rather enjoyed your company. Gaston swore to himself that he would found you, and propose to you. He would travel to every home in the villa if he had to, and have them try on the glass slipper that he clasped in his hands, and whomever it should fit, will be the one. Gaston sneaked back into the castle, going unseen which was rare. He quickly spotted Lefou in the sea of people. He excused numerous times before he could reach Lefou. "My Prince where on earth did you wonder off to? You are aware that this is your ball!" Lefou exclaimed, with big eyes. "The ball is officially over now. You are not going to believe this, Lefou. I met the most beautiful, loveliest, creature in the whole entire universe." Gaston declared with a blissful as he reminisced his memory of you. "Slow down, Prince! I will do as you ask, but who is this you speak of?" Lefou raised an eyebrow, suddenly intrigued.

"I can't remember her name for the life of me but I have something we will able to find her with!" Gaston persisted to Lefou. "I'm going to rest my faith that you know what you're doing." Lefou replied reluctantly. "Thank you, compatriot. Come, we will leave first thing in the morning and knock on every door in the village until I find her." Gaston clapped his shoulder, and skipped up the stairs, two at a time. Lefou was about to say something but he decided it would be better if he awkwardly cleared his throat at the bottom of the steps.

The first thing in the morning...

You cracked one of your eyes open and inhaled as you sat up. You weren't mad as the bells rang loudly. In fact, you were glad because you remembered that your night wasn't all just a dream. You pulled your glass shoe out from under your pillow, as a reminder. You couldn't sit back long though, you knew you needed to get to work and get your day started like life as usual. You returned your glass slipper back in its hiding spot, where no one would even think of looking. You couldn't get your mind off Gaston.

There was something sweet and almost kind, about him that you couldn't wipe the smile off your face at simply just the thought of him.

He was so...majestic and striking. You could close your eyes and see him and you together that garden, discussing various topics. You could almost say that you were in love with Gaston. And whether Gaston was in love with you, well you weren't sure of that. You've never been in love, and loved someone like Gaston. You didn't imagine it would happen so fast, in such a short amount of time. It was so unfathomable and overwhelming at the same time.

Oh, how you wished a moment could last forever. You couldn't dwell on it too much though. At least not now, anyway. You knew he Prince would be there waiting for you, in your dreams.

"Are you sure about this, sir?" Lefou hoisted himself on top of his horse, while the Prince did the same. "I am more than sure. I can feel it in my bones." Gaston grinned from ear to ear. Lefou has not seen Gaston this happy since before the King and Queen, Gaston's mother and father died. "Whatever you say. You are the Prince after all." Lefou said, swallowing his pride. "You are quite right, Lefou. But I am Prince who has found his Queen. The rightful Queen." Gaston purred. Lefou decided he was going to be happy that the Prince was happy. "Well, let's get going! We don't have time to waste!" Lefou exclaimed loudly. Gaston agreed and signaled horse. The two of them were off, as they journeyed into a day instore of uncertainties.

"So how was the ball last night?" You grimaced, shoving strands of your hair behind your ear. "We had a great time! Right girls?" Stepmother winked at Bianca and Celeste, gathering their attention. "Oh yes Mother!" They both exclaimed. "We had a great time without you!" Celeste cackled, causing Bianca and Stepmother to giggle. You didn't have anything to say to them after that. You politely excused yourself as more chores remained undone.

You didn't have to say anything because all you had to do was think of your glass slipper, despite everything else disappearing into thin air, remained intact. It was quite something, really.

Later that same evening...

Gaston and Lefou were coming up on the final houses. They have many women in their day, but none of them were you. Gaston refused to give up hope, despite how weary him and Lefou both felt. "Come Lefou I have a good feeling about this! Who knows if we'll struck gold!" Gaston bellowed loudly from his horse.

"I hope you are right, my prince." Lefou said, continuing to sigh. "Let's stop here then!" Gaston pulled slightly on the reins, and slowed his horse down in just the nick of time. Lefou thought that this house seemed familiar, but he could not put his finger on it. Lefou and Gaston strode their way to the front door. Stepmother answered the door and gasped. "Well, hello Prince Gaston and...you are?" Stepmother frowned at Lefou. "I am the Prince's squire. Would you mind if we intruded and allowed your daughters to try on this shoe?" Gaston unmasked the glass shoe, making Stepmother gasp once again.

"Well, of course. Please do come inside." Stepmother warmly welcomed the prince and the squire into the home. You were at the top of the stairs and you didn't dare make a sound. You couldn't believe it was the Prince, right there before your eyes. You wanted to scream. Lefou looked up to the high ceiling and spotted you. You looked vaguely familiar much like the house. You didn't see him see you, but you did see Stepmother stare up at you with cold, dead eyes.

"Please make yourself comfortable, I will be right back with the girls. They will be so excited to meet your acquaintance." Stepmother grinned almost sinisterly. "I am as well." Gaston nodded his head. You tried to camouflage yourself, but to no avail. Stepmother could scope you out right away. "Y/N can you help me fetch Bianca and Celeste?" Stepmother pursed her lips together. "Of course." You smiled up at her kindly. Stepmother followed a few steps behind you and before you reached Celeste's room, you were being pushed into the upstairs closet! "What are you doing?" You shrieked loudly, protesting profusely.

'This is for your own good, Y/N! You are not going to steal the Prince from Bianca or Celeste." She sneered, clenching her jaw. "Stepmother! Isn't it only fair if I, on the slipper? You exclaimed defiantly. "You are not on the same level as your sisters and I. Better yet, we are not family, Y/N. Good day!" She slammed the door in your first and leaving you in darkness. "Come, Girls. There is someone downstairs who is here to see you." Stepmother smirked. "I wonder who it is?" Celeste clapped her hands together. "Oh, hush it's probably nobody important. Oh, my Lord it's the Prince! Hello Prince Gaston!" Bianca practically rushed down the stairs.

Gaston and Lefou stood up, upon their entry. "It is good to see the both of you." Gaston greeted them, even going as far as politely kissing their hands. "I thought that there were three girls that lived here..." Lefou wondered out loud to then have his foot stomped on by Stepmother. "No, unfortunately it is just my daughters and I. My husband's daughter, my stepdaughter, died last year of a terrible illness." Stepmother explained, pretending to wipe tears from her eyes with her kerchief.

"I am sorry to hear that." Gaston said, offering his condolences. "Shall we begin?" Gaston pressed his lips together. The slipper did not fit either girl. You were still trying to throw yourself against the door. It was no use. You slumped yourself against the small wall, and wanted to break down. Then it hit you. You ruined your hair and pulled out the pin. It didn't take too much effort, and why you did not think of that first you will never know. Your feet padded against the stairs and you slid the sliding doors to the front room open.

"If I may?" You spoke up. Stepmother and the two girls looked at each other wondering how she escaped. "But of course." Lefou nodded his head, but Stepmother was one step of them. She tripped Lefou, holding the glass slipper. "Oh, how tragic. I guess we will never know." Stepmother sighed, staring directly at you. When you thought it was all over for you, it came flooding back to you. "You don't have worry just give me one moment please." You excused yourself and walked out calmly but then you continued to run all the way up to your attic bedroom.
You returned with the exact glass slipper. Gaston looked at you and could picture you in the blue gown that you wore the night before. You sat back down and you allowed Gaston to put the show on you, and it was the perfect match. You barely stood up and Gaston hugged you, and scooped you up in his arms. Stepmother and the girls were in anguish. They didn't understand. How could this be? Lefou looked back at them and said to Bianca and Celeste. "It was never going to happen ladies."

"Are you ready to go, my Prince?" Lefou said, hoping he wasn't interrupting anything too important. "Will you go with me to never to return to this place, and be my queen?" Gaston placed back down on the ground, and looked down at you with tender eyes. "Yes. A million times yes!" You squealed, and you pulled Gaston into another hug. Gaston carried you out of that house, and you lived happily ever after.

 The End!
